I switched my gpu and when I turned on my PC my front and side fans didn't work, all fans are connected to a cable that leads into the front panel. All of the front panel function except the USB (that was damaged ages before) What could be the problem (and if this is a disconnected cable which cable could it be)?

I'd like to have 280mm radiator to go in the top of my case. I'm aware of some of the compatibility issues regarding mounting holes for rads but would really like to get the best I can. I was looking at the H110i GTX and the NZXT Kraken X61 (Kraken I've heard is incompatible) Thanks all!

So, The time is nearing when I'm going to be switching cases, I figured, Hey, with the 100 bucks or so left why don't I slap some new fans in the case too! PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (Purchased For $0.00) Motherboard: MSI Z97 XPOWER AC EATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($232.98 @ Newegg) Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($52.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Corsair 500R White ATX Mid Tower Case ($89.99 @ Newegg) Total: $375.96 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-10-11 15:21 EDT-0400 So what would be the BEST fans for my h100i and the 500R for optimal overclocking & Airflow, keep in mind I don't want this to break $500 base price (Currenty $422) (This'll be my parents portion of the gift everything else will be from other family members, I'll deal with that when the time comes) and Fan Controllers too, if anyone recommends them, I really don't see much of a use for them, but if someone can explain why it might be useful in this situation, Ideally I would like silence and performance, however sound doesn't bother me to much, so key things TL;DR Black friday is approaching soon (gift buying time) I decided I want some new fans because I'm switching cases What fans will give me the best results for overclocking with minimal noise (Not sounding like a jet aka my 970) Fans must fit the H100i I don't really want LED's (thats one of the main reasons I don't want the stock fans)

Hello everyone, I would like to know which method shall I use to attach a glass window to my pc side panel. I dont count with any dremel or rotary tools so I cant cut those tabs from the side panel. A friend of mine suggested that maybe I could use silicone but I have my doubts because in any case the glass breaks, it would be hard to remove from the side panel. By the way, my case is the Corsair 500R and thanks in advance! B)

Hi Everybody! This is my first post on LTT and I thought I'd share a little bit of my build with you guys. Hope you all like it and would love to hear what you think about. Also, if you have any suggestions for future additions or modifications please comment! So let's start of with a bit of reference and build specs Corsair 500R Case Msi Z87 GD65 Gaming Edition Intel i5 4670k @ 4.5Ghz Msi GeForce 760 Kingston Hyper X 16Gb 1866MHz Antec 750W HC Pro Samsung 840 250Gb SSD WD 4TB Green 7200Rpm HDD WD 1TB Green 7200Rpm HDD NZXT Kraken x61 280mm AIO Corsair k70 Blue Switch Razer Mamba and Naga Epic Chroma Asus PA248Q This PC has been in the works for the last year and it's my first build. It's been a blast learning about all the parts and really learning about what a PC is really capable of. The most fun though has been the constant desire to perfect the look and operation of it. It's a never ending project and that is the best part! Heres a few shots. Got the color representation as close as possible but quite frankly the lighting in the basement is horrible and doesn't do the color justice. This first shot is the stock case in white with the grill on the side. The first major mod, other than the obvious color change, was to put window on this baby. They always say, It's what is on the inside that counts right? Technically this case does not support a 280mm rad up top but with a little creativity and a dremel, you'll find that it does fit Please excuse the few scratches in the paint. Had it lying down on the desk the other day and scratched a few spots here and there. Going to be touching up the paint and probably putting on a clear coat to protect it a bit better soon enough Below is an example of some clean up work that needs to be done. also why you always just go buy the right tool for the job. Some of the future updates I have in mind for this rig are a bit of painting to be done with the fans to have them match the rest of the build. Love those Noctuas but man are they uuuugly. I'd really like to build a power supply cover and have only done a little bit of research into it so if you guys have any tutorials or suggestions on how to go about it I would love to see them! Cable sleeving is also on the books but I'm kind of hesitant to do that because of the time and skill involved but who knows, might just go for it anyways. Also, do any of you guys/gals know about smoking acrylic? The window on there right now is very clear and I think with a slight smoke it might make the lighting a little less harsh. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed this post and thanks for looking!

Greetings all, A few days back I decided to upgrade my rig - new mobo, second GPU and new PSU. "Assembly" was OK, but when it came to my watercooler, a small problem occured... A little backstory - before the upgrade, my H110 was mounted with the rad inside the case and two 140mm fans with filters on top under the mesh as intake. But after studying a bit more on airflow and during the upgrade I decided to swap the rad and fans, so the rad is on top of the case under the mesh (just had to cut out a piece of metal so the hoses could fit) and the fans are on the inside and set as exhaust. And the problem is, that the mesh cant close properly with the rad on top. I can get it to "click" in position, but the sides of the mesh are bulged out 2-3mm above the edge. I didnt have this issue with the fans on top, and I want to ask if anyone else had this issue, or how to sort this out. I bought white sleeved cables for my modular PSU (going for black & white theme), they will be arriving in a week, so then I will be taking apart the rig again and want to make it as smooth as possible so any advice on how to set up the H110 in the case would be appreciated. (kinda noobish, but hey...) I wanted to buy a new case, but the 500R isnt that bad just have to sort this out Thanks

Hi guys, i'm kind of noob yet in the pc building area so, i have a corsair 500r case + h110 water cooler and i'm curious about what is the best airflow configuration for my build? Including PSU side and push or pull configuration, etc... Ps: dual fans on front, large fan on the side panel, psu fan, back single fan and top dual fan radiator

Hi all! Now I've got a bit of a conundrum with regards to my case airflow. Well, more of an aesthetic conundrum. I'm running a H55 cooler on my i5 4670K (4.5GHz @ 1.215 Vcore) and at the moment have my SP120s configured in push-pull, intaking from the outside of my case. I'm also intaking through the front and exhausting out the top with a pair of AF140s. The problem is, I want to be able to see the pretty blue rings on my SP120s, but that would mean I would need to turn the fans around and take in the hot air from the case, plus compete with the AF140s for exhaust. I was wondering if anyone here could devise an optimal airflow scenario where I could have those SP120s intaking from the inside? I've turned them around and run them for a few hours on AIDA and Prime, and the temperature difference is around 1-3 degrees Celsius, however keeping them like that, to my knowledge, creates a negative case pressure and more dust. The pros of reversing them are: a) it looks better and B) the dust is easier to clean off the radiator as I'd only have to remove the front fan. PS: Yes, I know, I really didn't even think about buying a blue motherboard or memory when I started this build. One day! Here's the setup:

Hi Everybody :) First of all, i'm sorry for my english, im Swiss. Correct me if i'm wrong, i need to learn this ;) I need some Feedback for those two Cases: Cooler Master HAF XM and Corsair 500r. I'm kind of switching between these two Cases, because i'm looking for Excellent Airflow, silence and looks. I'm going for a red-themed build, so both of these (500r in black, of course) would fit my needs in look. But i'm also going for great Airflow wich both are good Cases for, but the HAF XM has the top Rad mount, if i want to add a Rad in the Future. The 500r, you can stick some silent Fans in and you're good to go. The HAF XM comes with two 200 millimeter Fans, so when they're loud, i had to use Voltage-resistors for the Fans, and they're already not a Monster in pushing Air (I have some of the same fans in my HAF 912), or we do some modding and fit some 140 Millimeter or 120 Millimeter. For the Looks, both are looking absolute awesome. I really like the industrial Look of the HAF-Series, but also the simplicity of the 500r. So tell me what you think and i'm really thankful for fast and good help :)

Hey guys! While researching cases for a build i'm aiming to start early next year i found the carbide 500r. I've been getting lot's of inperation form build logs on this forum and was think of maybe giving it a custom paint job and maybe customising it for watercooling. I would like to hear any adive about this case to work with or maybe any suggestions for any alternatives cases which might be more appropriate for modding in the pricepoint of about £100 ($130ish). Thanks!

So a couple of weeks ago while revising for a retake exam I decided to get started on my, long wanted, side panel window for my Corsair Carbide 500R White. Well today I finally finished it, and while I don't have any in progress pics for you guys if anyone wants to know my process can just ask and I will detail the entire process I went through. I'm very happy with my work but would love to hear any critic or praise any of you guys have. I added a couple of LED strips as well beause well whats the point of a window without some pretty lights. They are remote controllable and I can set it to many many colours. Currently the reciever and power is external, using the "water cooling" holes at the back of the case but I will be converting that to Molex power soon. I know you can buy internal kits straight off but there was a 50% off deal on this LED kit so its much cheaper for me this way. Apologies for the photo quality, I only have a my phone. 3 pictures, 2 Blue LED colour and 1 White LED colour (colour looks worse on phone) Again please leave feedback! Thanks!

Hi, So I recently built my new gaming rig (links below) and I am considering replacing fans. This is mainly due to noise. I wouldn't exactly call it noisy - but it is audible when running. I have included Pictures here for reference: http://imgur.com/a/Zsp2h The H90 comes with a 140mm fan and I was thinking of getting a "Noctua NF-A14 PWM" as a replacement. Any thoughts on this? Will I "hear" an improvement sounds-wise? For the Case I was thinking of replacing the 3 * 120mm Fans that came with the case with 3 * Noctua NF-P12 PWM. I was thinking of keeping the Side 200mm fan running through the built-in Fan-controller in the case. Just running as low as possible. The 3 case fans are currently running in the fan-controller built-in the case - but I was thinking of using the motherboard for noise control. Any thoughts on both the fans and using ASUS Software to control this? PCPartPicker Link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Z4nddC (Please note that I am running a ROG Ranger Mobo but that was unavailable on the list). Text List: CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.7 Ghz. PSU: Corsair RM650 MOBO: Asus ROG Ranger Z97 Cooler: Corsair H90 RAM: Kingston Beast 16 GB 2400 Mhz. SSD: 2 * Samsung 830 running Raid 0. GFX: Asus 780 TI DCII OC Case: Corsair 500R Any thougts/comments appreciated. Thanks

Hey, I have a corsair 500r(theres two USB 3s in on the front IO) They seem to just straight up not work for pretty much anything I try in it. I've tried updating drivers(still just didnt work) and ensured that the cable was in the correct port on my motherboard(Gigabyte 990fx ud3(supports USB3)) Any help would be great, Thanks.

My other thread kinda died, but after spending 3 days moving through NCIX's entire computer case list I think this deserves a separate thread. I am torn between the Corsair Carbide 500R,NZXT Phantom 530, and the Enermax iVektor cases. If I had to make a decision right this second then I would go with the phantom, but I want your opinions on this choice. Phantom? Corsair? iVektor? Thanks!

Hi guys, a quick question, the 500r have dust-filters in the front for the two 120mm fans? Thanks for the help.
