Other owners of the Corsair 400c case with or without the window, I have a question. How often do you remove the front panel to clean your filer, and how easy to remove is your front panel? I have had bad experiences with clips and plastics before and I cringe when I try to remove my 400c's front panel. I resort to removing both side panels 99% of the time so I can push on the clips a little bit so they free up without such direct force from pulling on the panel. The time for another cleaning is evident by the circle of dust accumulating on the filter now, and I am apprehensive about broken clips. Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences? Anyone break their clips yet on this case?

Corsair 400c (black) Review Disclosure – This is my first written review of any product, I usually don’t do reviews but I noticed that there aren’t a ton of reviews on this case so that’s why I’m going to do one here, whether any one uses it or not doesn’t matter, I just hope I can answer a few peoples questions. I am going to try to keep this review short though, so enjoy My specs (for comparison) - MSI z170 a – pro - Sapphire 290x tri – x - 16gb of ddr4 patriot 2400mhz - 1tb WD Blue / Sandisk 240gb ssd - Hyper 212 evo - Raidmax Blackstone 700w (I know) Let’s start with a simple pros and cons list PROS – - The aesthetic, though this may be a personal thing I LOVE smaller sized cases, and the fact that this one could easily hold my tri – x 290x was amazing, my buddy even managed to fit 2 390x’s in there. The side panel as well just makes it super slick and nice looking. - Cable management is fantastic I would say there are more pros then cons here but there is one thing that did bug me that I will mention in cons, and this could be a deal breaker for some unless you can get around it. - Price is great, Some might say that 100 bucks for a case isn’t good deal but you are get a whole lotta case in such a small package, I would say its defiantly worth it (especially if you can pick it up for 70 bucks like I did) - The expansion ability in this case is great, It can fit a pretty beefy water cooler in there, and you can actually adjust the placement of the power supply shroud to give you more room for a RAD in the front of the case (or maybe just an extra fan) - The PSU shroud is great, although my PSU is semi mod and that helped a lot in this build, I feel you could do just fine with a non-modular power supply as the hard drive shroud can be adjusted to fit more cabling into the shroud, plus it has a little convenient cutout in the shroud to run some cables through - Overall, a nice case, but it has some quirks that could be easily fixed…. CONS – - The issue I mentioned in the PROs that could be a deal breaker is this, when I was cable managing I realized that I could not zip tie the cables properly to the back without removing the 3 ssd bays on the back, it was super inconvenient but I realized that it wasn’t an issue for me because I just threw the ssd into the hard drive cage, but I could see how this could a pretty big issue for some, if your creative you can probably get around it but its would’ve been a lot easier to move it to the side. - Another small quirk was 50 percent my fault and 50 percent the cases fault, after putting almost the entire computer together it was time to put the front panel connecters on, and there ate 3 little holes under the motherboard that can be used to route cables from the back, but to my amazement none of the cables would fit, if there were even a mm bigger I would have been able to fit the HD audio cable and hid it, but after spending 2 hours building I was not ready to take it all apart just for one cable. So I ended up routing it through the PSU shroud and it doesn’t look all that great, but again half of that was my own fault - Another small con for the case is the fact that it SCREAMS for any type of LED, I didn’t realize that the side panel was a Smokey window not a clear one, but installing an RGB strip fixed all that and I was planning to do that at some point anyway. In-between – There are a couple of things about this case that are neither good nor bad, just some things to note. - One of those things is the fact that the way the airflow is pushed through this case is through the bottom, which can be an issue for people who keep it on their desk, but I had it there for a week and I didn’t run into any issues but I ended up moving it to a separate desk anyway - The USBs are upward facing and there are only 2 of them which is fine for me but can be an issue for some Building tips – - Make sure you plan a little ahead with this case and that everything fits correctly, I didn’t and ran into a few issues - Don’t take off the plastic covering the side panel until you finish, not only is it a nice thing to do once it’s all done but even if you take it off it attracts finger prints pretty easily (like all side panels) - I would recommend a magnetic screwdriver If you have a large CPU cooler, makes life easier (I didn’t use one though) Conclusion – - In conclusion, I thoroughly recommend this case, especially if you prefer a smaller footprint, if you plan ahead you wouldn’t really run into any of the issues I did. I prefer this case over the 400c but the s340 is a strong competitor. If you are a fan of corsair, I definitely recommend this. And if you prefer a larger case there is the 600c for around 150$. I hope that this helped someone out and if you have any questions you can PM me. See ya P.S - a couple pics of my build, excuse the desk cable management, will fix it some day http://imgur.com/a/NPUjr

Hello guys. I am planning to get a new mid tower case. I am between 3-4 cases but i really don't know which one to go. So i am gonna need your help to help me choose The ones i am thinking are the S340 elite, P400 TG, Enthoo Pro M TG and the Corsair 400C. As you can see, i love the glass panel so i have decided to choose one of these 4. Although, if you have any recommendation for anything else, hit it on the table!! I would love some explanation, and not based on apprearance (since taste differs ofc) Sorry for the long post. Thank you in advance!

Hello to everyone,i've purchased a Corsair 400C with a pair of corsair vengeance pro gold(16GB even if it isn't relevant). Since i'd love to use a Swiftech H240-X2 to cool down my cpu(i7 2600) i was wandering if it will fit in the top of the case or at least in the front section of the case :c If not, please feel free to suggest me an AIO Cooler that will fit (which won't leak after a short amount of time(hopefully)) OR a nice Air Cooler. Thanks in advice ~

Hey guys, I've been wanting to get more fans to get better cooling on my components and I wanted to know what would you consider a good fan setup for my case in particular, I have a Ryzen 5 1600 with the Wraith Spire and a MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X, non OC. My idea was basically to get fresh air as quick as possible, so that means that I should be aiming for a possitive pressure setup? I'm sorry if I'm missing some info, because I'm new on the subject, I will apreciate a lot hearing your opinions

Well, I'm strugglin' with making a decision about what color would be better for an RGB build: Corsair Carbide Clear 400C BLACK vs. WHITE. I'm planning to buy all RGB motherboard, graphics card, LED strips, though I'm not 100% sure about fans and RAM, maybe those two parts will remain non-RGB ... Vote & comment your thoughts/reasons!

Hey guys, I would like to know what you think about those two cases and which one you would choose if you would have to. My graphics card is a Asus GTX 1060 with 31cm length. As far as I know have both cases 37cm (without front fans on front) space for graphics cards. So I would also like to know if you would recommend even another case rather choosing between them if you believe there is too less room for the graphics card. Does anyone have more informations on this cases about cablemanagement? CPU Fan space? Thank you in advance!!

I built a system about a year ago with a Thermaltake core v21, and im really not very happy with it. I want to upgrade to a Corsair Carbide 400c, im not sure What fans to buy and i dont have any from before (the thermaltake came with One massive fan in the front and that was all i used) but the 400c case comes with 2 corsair af L fans, One 120mm and One 140mm. Are those enough? Im running an i5 with stock cooler and an r9 380x.

So I'm building a computer in a Corsair 400c and want to get some white cablemod cables to accent my color scheme. Wondering if anyone has built in a 400c & used custom-length cablemod cables, and could tell me what cables you got and the lengths. I was planning on putting the CPU cord up through the top, the MB power through the middle or upper grommet and the graphics card cables through the lower or mid grommet. Just trying to get an idea because there is like a 1/2 inch of space behind the back panel. LMK, Thanks.

Hi, i want to put the power supply correctly (i have it in the 400c with the exhaust fan looking up, noob error), and i want to know if i need to move the motherboard for reinstalling it correctly. If i can't and i need to remove the motherboard, when i remove it and the cables i can't lose data? or something? (just removing cables like Sata, Fan, 24 pin, 8 pin, etc.?

While building a PC for a friend of mine, I ran into a small issue. I hadn't bothered double checking the dimension of all the parts as Corsair mentions that the 400C I would be using has room for a 240mm radiator up top and I was using a Corsair 240mm radiator so I assumed it would fit. Well it didn't fit in the top due to ram clearance issues and when placed in the front, the GPU (an MSI 1080ti Trio X) wouldn't fit. Since my buddy was pretty keen on having it up and running that same evening, I got a bit creative and screwed the fans to the front, through the fan filter. When the front fascia is mounted though, it completely suffocates the fans so I need a way to let them breath through the fascia. From some modding vids I Iearned that the front fascia consists of 3 layers, a plastic interior, a foam stuffing and a metal steel frontpanel. How would you guys go about doing this? Drilling holes in the panel itself might ruin the sleek esthetic, especially if the inner diameter lights up due to it being shiny bare metal, it might also be susceptible to corrosion in the long run. It also might be insufficient depending on how well the holes keep their shape in the foam. Cutting out part of the plastic and removing the foam to give the fans some more breathing space from the inside might damage the structural integrity of the mounting-system. It also probably wouldn't provide enough breathing space anyway. Making a custom cutout to mount a fanfilter will once again ruin the esthetic Cutting out 120mm holes and having the fans flush with the surface would probably be the coolest solution but I have no idea how go about doing that as there is about 4mm between the metal front and the plastic back So yeah, I'm a bit dumbstruck here trying to fix it. Anyone here who's more creative who can come up with a better solution? I would consider leaving it as is if it weren't for the mounting holes and the fan cables. video-1516319101 (1).mp4

Hey guys! I was building my first PC and was searching for a case. I finally had to chose between the NZXT S340 and the Cosair 400C. I finally chose the 400C due to its large side window. However, I recently saw a review of the S340 Elite and was wondering if that's now a better buy than the 400C. I'm ordering my case in 5 days but have not been able to find the S340 Elite anywhere. Please help! S340 Elite: https://www.nzxt.com/products/s340-elite-black 400C: http://www.corsair.com/en-in/carbide-series-clear-400c-compact-mid-tower-case The Review:

Hey guys! I was buying the Corsair 400C along with the H100i v2 cooler (240mm) which I'm going to mount at the front of the case. The case supports the radiator or 3 x 120mm fans. I was wondering whether it would be possible to have both the radiator and a 120mm fan both mounted to the front of the case.

Im buying a Corsair 400c, inside i'll have my H100i GTX with 2 Nf-F12's mounted at the front. Aside from that, where else should I place fans and which fans should they be?

I am wondering if I am able to install a corsair h100i gtx(mounted on top of the case in push) as exhaust in the corsair 400c with an MSI Z170A GAMING M5 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard and 16 gigs(4x4) of PNY anarchy ram. I am hoping there are no clearance issues, mainly because I will have to rethink my case cooling solution. Please help. Thanks for your time! Hey guys im giving my current pic an upgrade soon. I'm going to be using a Corsair 400q, a gtx970 by evga, a i5 6500 and and, for the time being, a Noctua NHD14. I want to watercool both the GPU and CPU. I want to just use the front intake if possible and leave the sound dampening cover on the top. I plan to do soft tubing and a 360 at the front and maybe a 120 at the back. I'm going to use EKWB rads, blocks, and backplanes with bitspower fittings, primochill tubing and mayhems aurora fluid. Yeah I know the whole fiasco with Mayhems being dicks, but I really love that fluid. If there is an alternative I would love to use it over theirs. Lastly, I know I don't need to watercool. I have a non overclockable chip and don't plan to overclock the graphics card. I'm doing this purely for looks, fun and the experiance. I also might upgrade to a 6600k or 6700k or maybe even have a look at what broadwell-e, kabilake and zen have to offer. I'm also debating whether or not to get the r9 390 and God know that thing needs adequate cooling, and if I decide to overclock it, well, adequate cooling will be required... So, to conclude, an you guys tell me what the best layout would be in the 400q what GPU. 390 or 970 or possibly 980 or fury wait for new CPUs or upgrade to a higher end skylake Mayhems alternative amount of rads Any help greatly appriciated, as this will be my first watercooling venture. Cheers

Greetings, friends!I'll be building my first rig (Yay!). My problem is that I don't know whether I should buy SP fans or AF fans for the front intake of the case (note that it has a dust filter), and if it's better to have 2x140 or 3x120. I was leaning towards 3x120 SP Quiet edition fans from Corsair since I like the looks... The PC will be something like this: CPU i5 6600k w/ a Cryorig H7 MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X Storage WD Blue 1 TB 7200rpm Mobo Z170x Gigabyte Gaming 7 EVGA G2 650w PSU Ripjaws V DDR4 @ 2400 Corsair Carbide 400C case Any help is appreciated!

Do you know of other comparable cases? AFAIK they're the only 2 cases with little space from mobo area to front intake that fit an ATX mobo. That isn't a specific thing I can search for, not a box I can tick on PCPartPicker to narrow my search. For example the Define S and Corsair 400C are of the same class (ATX Mid), yet just look at space usage difference! Is the Corsair 400C really the only case competing with the NZXT S340, or are there other options?

Hello everyone, I just bould my PC into a Corsair Carbide 400Q and I also bought my first AIO the Kraken X61 from NZXT. For this build I went with a front mounted radiator config in a pull configuration. The Dustfilter in the front doesn't fit that well now that I have a 280mm radiator installed. Id I'd take out the four screws in the middle of the radiator and only use the four outer screws it would fit much nicer. Do you think this is the right way to go? Maybe I did something wrong with it. Just tell me =) Thanks for helping me out.

Could you fit a hardline custom watercooling loop in the Corsair 400c? I mostly want to know where you could fit an independent reservoir in this case... Thanks in advance!

I have set my mind on a custom custom loop in a 400c. and before I purchase all the parts and radiators, I wanted to know from someone who had the case if a thin 280 radiator would fit in the top. I know it supports a 240, just trying to see if I could get a little more out of it. Please help

So This post is simple. I was wondering what you guys thought about the 600C and 400c from corsair, and which one was better. In order to find out, all you have to do is check the poll. Info on the 400c http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-clear-400c-compact-mid-tower-case Info on the 600c http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-clear-600c-inverse-atx-full-tower-case
