Need suggestions and input for using GALAX Geforce GTX 1650 4GB DDR6 EX PLUS (1-Click OC) - DUAL FAN. Maybe someone has used it. I want to upgrade the GPU from amd AsRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX560 4gb 128BIT DDR5 to GALAX GTX 1650. Currently I'm using an MSI B350 tomahawk mobo, ryzen 7 1700, Ram ddr4 2x8gb (speed 2666) Teamgroup TForce T-Vulcan Z, deepcool PC Cooler AG 400 LED, 4 LED fans, semi-modular PSU Seasonic CORE GM550 & Montech Air 1000 Premium case. PC usage for video editing Adobe premiere pro, After Effects, and photos with Photoshop- Illustrator, and 3D modeling & animation with Blender & middle spec gaming. How is the performance of the GALAX GTX 1650 for this usage? Any thoughts?

I'm wanting to build a PC. Never done it before. I have done lot of research and "building the perfect gaming pc" video from linus YouTube channel helped lot but it's late 2016. Is there any big changes since then? My budget around 2000$. I'm wanting 3D modelling, rendering, video editing and little bit of AAA games now and then. This PC is my dream PC. I am going on a budget of ~$1000 and I'm going to use this PC for Programming, Unity, Blender, and Gaming. I am going to only use 1 monitor though I might upgrade to 2 later on (In other words, I'm fine with 1 monitor, though if I could afford 2 I'd be happy). I am not using this PC for VR. However, I am going to buy the Peripherals(Mouse, Keyboard(Slim or mechanical), Monitor, etc). The reason why I'm upgrading is because I'm stuck with the CX61 laptop which is somewhat slow for what I'm doing. This is my first PC build so I hope it turns out all right! (I'm in the US)

Hello! So, I've always built my own computers, and I've tended to go mid-end to mid-high-end on components so I'm not having to upgrade often, but when I do upgrade, I tend to do the full system. Well, the last upgrade I did was over 6 years ago. My current system is a AMD Phenom II 965 BE, 8GB DDR3, ASUS M4 EVO-TD, and a XFX 7770. It's really showing it's age, but really proud of how long I've been able to run it without having to add much besides an SSD and AIO cooler to it. Which will likely be turned into a HTPC. My current build will be used for primarily gaming (Star Citizen, Overwatch, Division, R6: Siege and racing sims) and photo editing (Photoshop) and the very occasional 3d modeling. Monitors will be upgraded as well, as I currently have a Dell S2340M and a Hannsg JW199U as main monitors and a Toshiba 42" 1080P TV as the third. Will be upgrading to 1440p as primary and 1080p as secondary and then a 4K as the third (no gaming on this monitor, primarily previewing photos, Netflix/YouTube/Amazon Prme). VR is also a very real possibility of being used as well. Plan for the build is not having to upgrade for the next 4-6 years. Budget is 1200-1400 - Not needing case, power supply, SSD or cooler. Hello fellow masters of the PC race, This is my first topic and I am in the midst of building my first custom PC. My AIM for this build is to have the best value for what I pay. Meaning hitting the right spot of amount of money spent for performance. This computer will mostly be used for all sorts of gaming, from Moba to FPS to AAA games. However, I will use the PC for some 3D program such as Autodesk Revit as well as rendering software such as V-Ray. Budget is quite flexible so long I get the best for what I pay for. Peripherals I can decide by myself. Monitors will be depending on the build of the PC I guess. After fumbling through countless reviews and recommendation and research, I've come up with 2 builds. The main difference is in the CPU and GPU. Sup Techies, So, I’m starting my first PC build, and I need some advice before going forward. For context reasons, my pc will be heavily used for 3D modeling, rendering, sculpting, as well as animations. I’m talking blender, maya, zbrush, unity, photoshop, etc. No email checking, or streaming, or 4K editing or anything of the sort. The only gaming I’ll be doing is testing my own, so I guess FPS is important in that respect. Anyway, I’m trying to find the best (and most cost-friendly) CPU. I am between a thread ripper 2920x and an intel i7 9700k. The extra cores in the thread ripper look good for rendering, but it seems the processing power and clock speed of the i7 are better for sculpting and modeling work. I am torn and not sure if either have a leg up that I may have overlooked. I am working my way through this build research by research and every response or piece of information helps. I am working on a new build for faster rendering and modeling. This is a full build! The budget is go stay under $2000 and I live in the US. The rig will be used for blender modeling and renderings, photoshop, illustrator and revit. The main software will be blender and revit. Any help with possible builds to take full advantage of my budget would be fantastic!

i have these specs and i want to upgrade for better performance specs motherboard-dh61ww graphics card -gt 710 ram 6 gb processor- i3 2100 and rest peripherals i can do 3d modeling without any issue but the problem comes in rendering .

What are the major components that can affect the performance of rendering/3dmodeling softwares such as maxwell? From what I know these are the 3: 1. the CPU/processor. you basically would want to look for the best there is with most ghz and cores. 2. the Video Card. I heard Nvidia is a better work station video card. and just get the best there is - well match it with the money that you got. 3. the memory. the memory is how much information it can run at once. if you're not opening a lot of softwares and are not rendering complex geometries in a high resolution. then you won't need lots of ram. i normally render about 5 images quite big with 300 dpi. while still using my photoshop and illustrator yet my RAM only hit about 17 GB (i have 32, just to be safe) THE QUESTIONS: 1. about dual processor. is it worth it? i heard its not worth it if you're using it for gaming. how about rendering. 2. SLI / crossfire vs. a new better GHZ. - So I have MSI Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card, i was thinking to get another HD 7870 to do a crossfire. ($300) But a friend of mine suggested me to get a new better Video card instead GTX980 ($600). I know there there are 3 things to look at in a Video Card; memory size(MB), Core clock Speed (MHZ), memory clock speed (MHZ). What i'm wondering is how does each of these 3 affects when i render.

Hi! I know you get asked this question a lot, but i need to build a $2000 workstation and i dont even know where to start. The software i will be using is AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, 3dmax (maybe), and vray for rendering. I have searched the forum for "budget workstation" but all i can find are video editing oriented configurations. I would like to start with a Xeon processor, a Quadro K2200 video card, and 32gb of RAM. Expandability is very important for my work, so in the future i would like to add a second video card or a second Xeon (if possible or recommended), more ram, etc. As you can tell im a noob in this department, so i need a foolproof recipe for this build.
