Hello all, I need some help or advice on what could be causing my b450 aorus elite to not post, it starts up and immediately shows the red debug "DRAM" led. I've checked all the slots and tried 1 stick only in each and still to no avail will it boot! the ram is T-force Delta 3600mhz DDR4, and I'm certain the cpu is seated properly (Ryzen 5500) The Bios were updated to F64a from the person I bought it from, One last thing to mention is that the ram's RGB does light up, I've also tried to reset the CMOS but still no luck, Many thanks! (I'm aware the cpu has no igpu, but I've thrown in a temporary GTX 970 as a display adapter and still not working) Specs: (I'm not really committed to these, this is just what I had laying around to test the board with) CPU: Ryzen 5 5500 Motherboard: Aorus Elite b450 v1 GPU: EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 V1 SC PSU: CoolerMaster MWE 750W Bronze V2 RAM: T-Force 3600Mhz DRR4 SSD: Lexar 120gb

I'm planning to build a PC which is similar to a friend's (the planned build on pcpartpicker). He completed his build earlier and encountered a problem regarding the memory frequency. Apparently the motherboard would boot but there's no display output when the memory frequency is set to 3600mhz but apparently works fine at 3200mhz. Are there any fixes for this problem?

Please forgive, This is my 1st post Hi I am having problems getting my ram to work at full speed, It is running at 2133Mhz not 3600Mhz. This appears to be a problem for a lot of people and I have exhausted a lot of attempts to get it to work. 1. I have checked that my system is able for it on CPU-Z 2. I have updated my Bios to the most recent, I selected the XMP and saved my settings, 3. I downloaded Ryzen Master and DRAM Calculator ran these software and returned to my Bios and manually changed a load of settings. 4. I have my setting good enough to run my computer but not get my ram up to 3600Mhz 5. Ryzen master will not let me enter the values for my XMP 3600 due to Fabric clock larger than Memory clock 5. I have not been able to find an answer. I have attached an image of my settings I changed and my information gathered and used, which I believe is visible, I would really appreciate some help and or direction. Hello Lately I have this issue in Red dead redemption 2 where I get sudden FPS drop from 80 - 100 FPS to 4 FPS. Normally the GPU is using 220-230 watts of power, but before the lag happens I noticed that my GPU hits around 7.4 GB of Vram allocation and 6.2-ish GB of actual Vram used by the game. Then the huge FPS drop happens. GPU utilization spikes to stable 100% and power draw drops down to 60 - 80w and the result is 4 fps that last a few seconds or a minute or until I leave an area in the game. Then it stops for a minute and then it keeps happening until I restart my PC. Restarting my PC is the only way how make the game smooth with no issues for at least 20 minutes. I was able to play for 2 hours at most with no issues. Things I tried so far: - Deleting drivers using DDU and installing new ones multiple times - Decreasing graphic settings in game especially textures - Checked all of my temperatures using Hwinfo64 and I didn't find anything our of the ordinary except low GPU power draw of course. - Downclocking my GPU memory and core. Important thing to note is that didn't experience this issue in any other game except RDR2, but I also couldn't find anyone else experiencing this issue with RDR2. Other games I played: - Battlefield V = absolutely no issues - Modded Minecraft with shaders = no issues - Control = No issues at all no matter the graphic settings. - Elite dangerous: Oddysey = No issues... mostly. Ocasionally I had lower FPS due to power draw dropping from 220w to 150-ish - Post Scriptum = No issues - Hell let loose = no issues - War Thunder = no issues - Call of Duty: Warzone = suspiciously low GPU power draw again. No matter the graphic settings. My GPU simply didn't want to go over 160w - Witcher 3 = No issues - Mafia: Definitive edition = no issues After hours and hours of testing and looking at numbers I realized I could replicate the lag in RDR2 by getting to roughly 6.2 GB of actual Vram usage not allocation (It can be done with MSI afterburner) So I maxed out everything that eats Vram in all games I have and I noticed that no other game that I could test went over 6.2 GB of actual Vram usage. So I asked a friend if he could borrow me Cyberpunk 2077 and he did so back to testing. I maxed out a lot of settings to get Vram nicely high. I managed to get actual Vram usage to 7.1 GB but nothing. No issues at all. I had 25 FPS at that point because GPU itself wasn't fast enough, but no issues with power draw or Vram happened. I was driving around the city like that for at least 30 minutes. So I'm getting really desperate here. Because I can't find anyone else having issue like this anywhere on the internet and I just really don't know why It's happening becauese: - If It's hardware issue, why I can't replicate it in any other game at all no matter how much I try? - If It's problem with the game, why I'm the only one experiencing it? I'm thinking It could be some software issue. I didn't try reinstalling whole windows yet. Does anyone have any clue what could be going on here? And how is it even possible for GPU to be 100% utilized, but only using half of It's power draw? Oh yea last thing Specs: GPU: Asus Dual RTX 3070 8GB OC CPU: I5 10400f Mobo: Asus Prime Z490-P Ram: HyperX Fury 2x8 GB 3600Mhz CL17 (I'm running XMP) PSU: Seasonic Focus GX-750 Gold SSD1: 64 GB with Windows on it (5 GB of free space) SSD2: 1 TB with all the games above mentioned installed there. (100 GB of free space) HDD1: 1 TB (80 GB of free space) Running 3440x1440 144hz monitor.

After being stuck for years now with dual-core Haswell/Broadwell laptops, I finally want to upgrade to a decent Workstation (Software Development and occasionally some CPU+RAM intensive image processing tasks). I've laid my eyes on Zen3, specifically a Ryzen 5900X. For reliability and peace-of-mind reasons, I want to spend the extra money for ECC UDIMMs. Just a small problem: that Processor would very much prefer 3600 MHz RAM. I failed searching for sold-as-3600-MHz ECC UDIMMs. I hope to find some suggestions that are better than "take cheap ECC UDIMM sticks, transplant memory chips from binned 3600 MHz gaming non-ECC UDIMMs". I theoretically would be able to handle/organize the necessary reballing, but I'd much prefer to just OC some known-suitable factory-fresh ECC UDIMMs, or buy binned ones if there is a decent source. I was hoping to get a pair of 32 GiB sticks at first, and buy a second pair in a few months if RAM ever got tight. The rest of the system should get watercooling, and I'm not picky for asthetics. I'd consider coating everything but the black top of the dies and the edge contacts that go into the socket with conformal coating, and just flow water around the sticks (with direct contact to where the heat spreader of gaming RAM would contact the memory chips). Does a 5900X actually handle 64 or even 128 GiB RAM at 3600 MHz? I was hoping/wishing for CL16, but CL18 would be an option if the price difference signficantly surpasses the performance difference. I know overclocking and maximum reliability don't really combine, but that just means I won't push the infinity fabric too hard and keep an eye out for ECC errors (in case I need to relax timings/frequency or increase voltage). If 3600 MHz CL16 is too much for a 5900X if one cares about reliability, please let me know.

Hello all, I'd like some help choosing the best motherboard to go with a Ryzen 5 3600 and 16GB of DDR4 memory clocked at 3600Mhz, been wanting an upgrade for a while and had a change of heart in parts so I'd like to know the best! When I say the best, I of course mean within my budget. £140 ($190) is the highest I am willing to go, of course if there are better options under that price, I'd rather save my money! Thank you in advance.

Having some issues posting with 32GB (2 - 16GB sticks) 3600MHz ram and tried the following below to no avail: - Running from the A2/B2 slots as recommended in the manual - Tried XMP I and II using the respective settings on both with no success. - Set the ram overclock to manual and input the timings no change. - Updated to the latest bios and turned the CPU overclock off and back on. - Tried changing the voltage to 1.4 for the DRAM. - Changed overclock to auto and dram frequency to auto this just booted the ram to 2400MHz - Changed dram frequency back to 3600MHz and doesn't post and goes through the reboot loop. - Tried loading one stick at a time in each slot and was only able to lead 1 stick of 16GB using 3600MHz on XMP II before blue screening in Windows, XMP I did not post. Added another stick using XMP II and again would not post. Hardware specs: i7-9700K / ASUS Z-390E HyperX Predator Black 32GB kit 3600MHz DDR4 CL17 DIMM XMP Desktop PC Memory (HX436C17PB3K2/32) (on the QVL list for this motherboard) Samung SSD EVO 850 It seems the max dram frequency speed I can set it to without blowing up is 3333MHz. Is there a setting that needs to be set to run ram over 3333MHz stable? Looser DRAM timings? Also tried - VCCIO/VCCSA to 1.25 and 1.3 CPU overclock to 5.0 across all cores CPU voltage to 1.35 DRAM voltage to 1.4 DRAM frequency to 3600MHz Still won't post using 3600MHz. Currently out of options with things to try, any suggestions or a guide from someone that has the same CPU/board and ram speed that has this working would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am currently using x2 8GB of F4-3600C18D-16GTZR, and would like to add another x2 8GB to my PC and the non X version is out of stock. Can I use the F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX instead? Will there be any issue if I use it ? I'm using: 𝗥𝗢𝗚 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗫 𝗫𝟱𝟳𝟬-𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗪𝗜𝗙𝗜 𝗜𝗜 + 𝗔𝗠𝗗 𝗥𝘆𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝟵 𝟱𝟵𝟬𝟬𝗫 + 𝗙𝟰-𝟯𝟲𝟬𝟬𝗖𝟭𝟴𝗗-𝟭𝟲𝗚𝗧𝗭𝗥 (8x2GB) The retailer is saying "it might bottleneck and all that so I'm confused"

Built my first system and got it running thanks to some help from here and LTT videos, but I had some questions about the RAM and CPU temps and figured here would be a good place to turn. Specs: Motherboard: Aorus Pro Wifi x570 CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X w/ stock cooler RAM: 32Gb G. Skill Ripjaws V. 3600Mhz (2x 16) When I initially got to the POST screen and went into BIOS, only 1 stick of RAM was showing and system information also thought I only had one stick (I am in slots 2 and 4). The DRAM light on the motherboard was on as well and would occasionally flash to the CPU. After enabling XMP in BIOS everything recognized the second stick and it is now running at 32Gb, 3600Mhz no problem. The light turned off and so far no more problems. Is that going to be stable? I checked and the stick is in there correctly and snug, is there anything else I could be doing wrong? For the CPU temps, I have noticed that when I get to about 20% utilization it will be at about 80* C. During my installation of the CPU cooler I did have to pick it back up and re-seat it, since I didn't get one of the of holding brackets correct the first time, but at the time I didn't think it was a problem since the paste was still contacting the CPU, could this be causing the high temperatures? Or is this because of the XMP enabled? I also currently only have the 2 fans the case came with, one intake at the front (bottom slot) and one exhaust at the rear. 2 more fans are arriving in a few days. Could this be a lack of air flow issue since the front case fan is currently on the lowest mounting point at the front (basically blowing on the GPU)? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I bought this rig 2 weeks ago, it arrived this weekend and I assembled it, but RAM only seems to be working as 2133mhz natively or 2400mhz OC'ed. And when I change to anything higher 2400Mhz motherboard doesn't pass POST. I've already updated the bios to the latest one and tried the XMP profile. Any suggestions? Does someone have the manual OC config to work with this RAM and 3400G? I was going to build a 3600x + 2070Super but I decided to hold back the money a little bit more and then later buy a cheaper mobo for this processor and give it to my wife. When I decide to build a computer to my wife, which RAM is recommended for not having this headache? Ps.: The BIOS picture is before updating the BIOS to the latest one. Ps.: The RAM model is: F4-3600C16D-16GVKC . Thanks for your time. ?

Gigabyte Aorus X570 pro wifi troubleshooting
Ruslan posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Good day fellas I'm running R7 3800x on Aorus x570 pro wifi mobo with trident z 3600mhz ram (qvl approved). However whenever I try running xmp profile I'll get a random system reboot occasionally. More often when under load, but it happened at idle too. So for the time being I'm running my ram at 3200mhz. Wondering if anybody knows of maybe some gigabyte specific bios settings that need to be adjusted to achieve stability. I already tried swapping memory, power supply, boot drive...even tried RMA the mobo but instead of just swapping a board for me, gigabyte sat on it for a month, tested it and shipped same board back with older bios version and said that nothing is wrong with it. Only thing left for me to troubleshoot would be the cpu itself Thank you Cheers -
Hi. I have a spare pair of Corsair vengeance lpx 3600mhz ddr4 2x8gb sticks, and was thinking of upgrading my editing pc using these. Issue is I'm going from an i7 4790k to a ryzen 7 2700 and an asrock b450 itx board, or maybe the msi itx equivalent. Is it possible to manually downclock the ram to 3200mhz, manually set better latency and timings, so that it will run within spec of the b450 boards? 3200mhz is the sweet spot for those boards apparently.
