I have 2 rams produced on 2021 Feb and another one I purchased today produced on 2023 Aug. I purchased new one because my PC was getting slowed by low ram on my pc. Ram details DDR4-3200 8GB F4-3200C16S-8GVKB CL16-18-18-38 1.35v Intel XMP 2.0 Ready I have ram with these exact same details mentioned above. All of 3. Now the problem is that the base frequency of these rams is not 3200 but my motherboard is capable of overclocking it using XMP. So previously when I had only 2 of them, I was running them at 3200. Now if I'm trying to so the same with using this on 3rd slot, it's lowering all the way to 1833. What could be the issue here? Should I mark the product as defect and replace it? I have also tried to replace 1 of the older rams from 2 with the new one still it isn't picking up to the 3200MHZ while same is working with the older 2 rams with the same settings. Motherboard - MSI B450M mortor max Processor - Ryzen 5 3400G Graphics card - None

Hi guys. Recently I’ve built a pc with this configuration: Asus Prime b450-plus AMD Ryzen 5 3400g G.SKILL TridentZ 16GB 3200MHz ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 256GB Cooler Master Masterwatt 750W Semi-Gold For a few days, I’ve been working on CPU and iGPU overclocking and pushed the gpu to 1700MHz and saw some weird green rectangles in games and very high temps. So I decided to buy a better cooler. I bought Deepcool gammaxx gt. I installed it and disabled cpu core performance in BIOS to reduce cpu core voltage. Since then, I’ve been hearing a coil whine in graphics demanding things like games and web scrolling using my Vega 11 integrated gpu which is measured 45 decibel at it’s peak and it’s coming from Heatsink’s base (CPU HS). I tried enabling core performance boost and it didn’t help. I also tried changing iGPU frequency and it didn’t help either. Since I have my pc next to my bed and I leave my pc rendering at nights, acoustics matter a lot to me and I’m thinking of changing the noisy part. My question is: 1. Can an integrated graphics cause coil whine? 2. Since it’s not coming from VRM or SoC voltage controllers, can it still come from beneath the cpu and socket and be a MOBO issue? 3. Can it be caused by the MOBO being bent because of the weight of my new cooler which is a lot heavier than the stock one? 4. Finally, which part do I have to change?

Hello tech lovers! My computer configuration is MSI morter max b450, 16gb memory, and a R5 3400g. I have a old model GPU in my pc. Want to turn on my onboard graphics. For this reason i saw a lot of YouTube video. But i did not have the proper solution along to my bios! Is there any wise person can help me by telling how i can do this? :( -Thanks in advance.

so I have a ryzen 5 3400g that seems to prefer popos or manjaro graphically wise, but then spits the dummy with wifi, mint 20 has graphical issues unless you goto recovery mode then normal boot this happens with kernel 5.4 and 5.11 but has better wifi. im at a loss as to what to do. run windows you say.......... problem is windows 10 goes into an "update install fail" that lasts anywhere from 30 mins to 3hrs, does several reboots to install then remove said update, it was doing this daily. popos wifi cuts in and out every 20 mins to an hour, so gaming is out of the question. manjaro looses signal strength before cutting out, around every 10 mins debian live cd wont even get to a gui screen. mint gives "in picture, in picture, in picture" artefact starting from the menu button (bottom left corner) going across the screen on a diagnal, requires power button reboot, but wifi doesnt cut out. so anyone got any ideas of either another linux distro that might work, or someway of fixing one of the above?

I recently got an offer from asus for a pc which costs 800 dollars...they gave me two models... a ryzen 7 2700 with a gtx 1660 ti (6gb) and a ryzen 5 3400G with a gtx 1650 ti (4gb) i am really confused which to buy.....there is not much performance difference between the 2700 and the 3400g...but the 3400g has an integrated graphics card the thing is this is my first time i am buying a PC with dedicated graphics card and i am not sure how long will the GPU last in terms of life....thats why i prefer a pc with an integrated gpu...just to be on the safe side pls help

Stressing of iGPU immediately locks my computer. Have to switch off at the wall. I have replaced all parts aside from the motherboard with no solution. Both my 2400g and 3400g have the same problem. I'll list my troubleshooting: I can run Furmark just fine yet other benchmarks kill my pc Running a discrete GPU gets rid of the problem. Latest bios/drivers used as well as previous versions RAM at auto and XMP memtest found no issues The fact that Furmark works fine but anything else doesn't would allow me to narrow down the issue to something that Furmark doesnt stress but other benchmarks do? Are you aware of anything like this? thanks for reading

I am looking for an APU for my new build with powerful iGPU and a good CPU...the 3400g surprised me with its performance in games...but then in terms of CPU power , its intel competitors have much better performance..but with weak iGPUs..So I just want to know whether the 3400G will be at least in an usable condition in terms of performance after 8 to 10 years....(I am not able to find the 4th generation of AMD apus in India...not even prebuild PCs with them) or should i wait for AMD to release the 5000 series of the G cpus? planning to slap in 2x8 gigs of 3200mhz ram , use an A320m mobo and a 660p ssd powered by a 550w psu (p.s according to me "usable after 10 years "is something where it can actually boot up the OS without waiting for more than 10 minutes and run basic apps like MS-office and chrome )

I got a 3400g build, but I still need the motherboard, the local market is pretty FUCKED, almost everything is out of stock, this is what's available: MSI A320M-A PRO M2 ($80) MSI A520M PRO ($90) Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H ($84) MSI B450M-A PRO MAX ($100) ASUS PRIME B450M-K ($100) ASUS TUF B450-PLUS GAMING ($150) Gigabyte B450M H ($100) I know that the B550 motherboards aren't compatible with the 3400g, but is there a Bios update for the Gigabyte B550M DS3H ($130) that would fix the compatibility. I don't live in the US, so these prices include taxes + shipping. WHAT SHOULD I GET ?? Thank you.

Hi guys I need some help with my system, tnx in advance for any ideas. Also this is my first post so sorry if something is wrong. Before explaining my issue I want to get some things up front : · English is not my main language so excuse my mistakes please. · I´m aware that my CPU is not officially compatible with my motherboard, thats why i´m looking for suggestions of more experimented peolpe. · I use to put PCs togehter in the LGA 775 era so I’m comfortable inside a PC but i´m not really familiar with all the BIOS options now a days. · My sister has an "almost identical” PC, instead of an HDD she has a 1Tb Kingston NVMe a2000, a Ryzen 5 3600 and a MSI GTX 1650 Super 4Gb GDDR6. This system works fine whit most games without touching the settings. Because of this i guess when i´m update my system (first NVMe, then GPU and later CPU) my system will work fine but i´ve seen this processor run games in 1080 low settings and i´m not able to do this, so here I am looking for help. So with that out of the way here are the parts of my Frankenstein : · MSI MAG Mortar B550M WiFi · Corsair 2x8Gb CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 · AMD Ryzen 5 3400G 3.7 Ghz 4Core AM4 · Cooler Master MasterWatt 650W 80Plus Bronze · Seagate ST2000M08 2Tb · Cooler Master MCB-Q300L · Windows 10 x64 So now to the issue : When I try to run a game after a couple of minutes, even sometimes a couple of seconds my monitor goes dark like when i shut down the PC, the audio stops and the fans keep spining at the same speed they was spining when the monitors goes dark. As i mention before I was aware this CPU is not officially supported by B550 motherboards but I really wanted an upgradable PC and i wasn’t 100% sure in november last year that B450 motherboards going to be fully compatible whit Ryzen 6 (which i plan to upgrade in the future). So because of this I´m aware that maybe my issue doesn´t have another solution that upgrade my CPU and add a GPU BUT i really wanna ask for help because maybe somebody has some cool ideas. When this black screen happen I have to shut down the powe supply, wait a couple of seconds and power it up again and press the power up button for the case. I know the case is not really the best for air flow but all the components in there keep in normal range even when it allows me to play for a couple of hours. And even if I remove the side panel and put an external fan this keeps happening. I´ve tryed adjusting the memory speed to the 2933Mhz supported by the processor with no luck. This happen whit the original BIOS E7C94 v12 from 03-08-20 and do the same with the latest one (7C94 v18 from 09-07-21). Sometimes this happen less frecuently when I update the APU driver to the lastest version but right now keeps happening with the Adrenalin 24.6.1, 21.7.2 and the optional 21.8.1. Again i have seen online this APU running games like Forza 4 at 1080 low settings decently, but my PC goes black even running Gang Beast or Lonely Mountains Downhill. When my PC is working decently I can run GTA V at 1280 x720 ☹or gang beast in really low settings but i really would love to hear some suggestions to make my system stable. This never happen playing minecraft for W10 btw. Hope I can update my PC “soon” but with the current situation -financially- and with the GPU prices/scalpers who really knows when this will be, thats why I´m trying to look for some advise to be able to play in my current PC. Thank you to every one who get to this point and again thanks in advance for any help.

Looking at benchmarks the Vega 11 3400g is a better apu (higher fps) but which one of them is a better CPU. Planning to upgrade to a dedicated gpu in the future. And on a budget, which is a better cpu its probably the 4650g right? But how better is it as a cpu? Or should I wait for the coming R 5 5600g? Share me your thoughts and experiences thanks PS I'm from the philippines, prices may vary from where you are

I'm building a future proof-ish mid range gaming PC, but my issue is PSU, right now I'm aiming for the Corsair RM650 80+ Gold, I found it for 210 USD taxes + shipping included, Is that a good price to get it for, or are there other alternatives. The build so far: CPU: 3400g (in terms of processing power this is more than enough for gaming, it won't bottleneck any mid range GPUs, and the VEGA 11 afaik is the best iGPU so far) RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x 8Gb 3200MHz MBD: Asus Prime B550M-K SSD: Crucial MX500 1Tb Case: Cougar MG 120G (cheap case, with 3.5in bay, so even a non modular PSU won't mess up the aesthetics) Getting a GPU right now is crazy, I was hoping to get a 3060Ti or a 3060, but the ones I found go for around 1000 USD. Until the prices go down, I'll settle for Vega 11. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks.

Hey all I've got a problem, I need to build an ITX build for a photobooth, last year I bought a 3400G when building my main set up (had my now 15 month with me and said 3400 and not 3600). I bought the motherboard yesterday (asrock a520-itx ac). Now I know by fuke that the motherboard does not support the chip, but the store seems to think it can run it at the very least with a bios update. I'm fine if it won't, I'll seel it for $100AUD and buy a 3100. I'm just after examples and tips from those who got chips to run on unsupported boards. Thanks

Hello guys. Just wanted to see if i could get some recommendation on which motherboard to buy, in a configuration based on: AMD 3400g 1x M.2 nvme ssd 1x hdd for storage 16gb ram, at least initially This build was not intended for heavy gaming, and that was why I did not plan to aquire any graphics card. If more details are necessary, just let me know. Thanks in advance!

I'm upgrading from an fx 6300 to a ryzen 5 3400g, but my asrock fatality b450 gaming k4 won't post. I think it's incompatible bios. Does anyone know if microcenter (the place I got my mobo) will update the bios free or if AMD still does the free boot kit. And possibly hour long it takes to arrive?

So as a late Christmas gift because nothing was in stock my dad is going to get me a 3070 or 3060ti, depends which one is in stock first. I just want to know how much bottleneck.
-
I'm looking at 1650 super. But based on my research on other forums, 1660 super or even ti are much better. But I also seen some that it'll just bottleneck. I'm not sure. I just want what's the best option for my 3400G. I won't mind if it'll be from AMD. I just need the best option.

So, I'm planning to build a media PC for my home, and I have two options in mind. A Ryzen 5 3400g with the stock Vega 11 iGPU, or a Ryzen 3100 with a GT 1030(GDDR5 2GB edition). In my country these two configs cost the same(about 14000 INR). Which one should I opt for? The build will be mATX, so size isn't much of a constraint. The 3100 combo will have more net performance, but I was wondering if the increased power draw(CPU+dGPU vs APU) would be worth it. Thanks for your help!

Here are my specs before jumping into this: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3400G GPU: Radeon Vega 11 RAM: Adata XPG 3000MHz CL16 (AX4U3000W4G16-BSZ) MoBo: Asus Prime B450M PSU: Corsair CX450 Cooling: Enermax Aquafusion 240MM Rad As the title says, I bought an Asus Prime B450M motherboard brand new off of eBay (it was being sold through Newegg but advertised through eBay) After waiting 8 days for the motherboard to arrive, I put everything together for me to run into an issue where the motherboard only posts with a single RAM stick inserted. I even inserted two sticks to no avail. Four sticks did nothing and neither did three. However, I noticed that if I switch the single stick RAM to each individual slot, it seems to work fine as long as there is only one stick in. I updated the BIOS to vers. 2203 which is the latest BIOS revision, reset the CMOS I don't know how many times, went into the BIOS and even tried enabling D.O.C.P. for the rated memory speed (which caused the system to restart three times before reposting into the BIOS in safe mode) and even swapped CPUs. I switched to a Ryzen 3 1200 and Radeon R7 370 I had lying around and still the same problem. I even switched the RAM out for some G.Skill Fortis (F4-2133C15Q-32GFT) with the same problem persisting. I feel stupid for throwing the box away before testing everything to make sure it worked beforehand so I don't think I can return it. I have read it could be something to do with possible Asus software or just bad DIMM slots but I don't know. I'm running into dead end after dead end with this.

Saw a post about this today in a pc related group. Someone asked which would be better for adobe illustrator without GPU,3400g or 10400/10500. I know that there aren’t that many people in that group who really know what is good for various workloads. Almost 90% suggested to take 3400g because of the vega 11 IGPU. As I couldn’t find anything related to this and don't have any experience about using these softwares,I posted here. So,my questions are - Which will be better? Do these vega IGPUs play any type of role in video editing,Photoshop or adobe illustrator? Can someone work on adobe Photoshop, illustrator, after effects,Premiere pro smoothly without a dedicated gpu or with intel UHD?

So I have this driver issue. I recently noticed it while trying to get GTA V run. I never noticed it before as all games(including GTA) were running fine. I have tried updating drivers from device manager, updating via windows update. Installing latest AMD Adranalin software, installing previous Adranalin software, updating BIOS, removing all graphics drivers via DDU. I am getting this error message " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" Uninstalling and scan for hardware changes via device manager seems to fix the problem until system restart. Can anyone help?

I currently have a 3400G and 16GB of RAM (Full PCParkPicker here) and wanted to upgrade to a dedicated GPU. I looked at some and found a 3050 at Best Buy for $380. I definitely want to buy new, not used. Is this a good pick? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-3050-gaming-oc-8gb-128-bit-gddr6-graphics-card-with-3x-windforce-fans/6496088.p?skuId=6496088

Hi all, I made the move to PC last summer and now, my XBox has been getting increasingly obsolete. In order to replace it, I decided to build a HTPC around an R5 3400G I bought for 140$ on Kijiji. It would have to be small, as it replaces a console, and the ability to read Blu-Rays as I still own a lot and will continue to buy physical discs. While I fell in love with the In Win Chopin, which seems to be a favorite for this type of build, I went with its little brother the BQ656. I uses the same chassis, but trades the brushed aluminium sheet for disc drive support. I managed to grab one used on eBay for $86 CAN. Came in pretty badly scratched, so I decided it needed a paintjob. And if I was going to paint it, I wanted to do something cool: (Artist's rendering) Iproceded to take apart the 120W PSU as I will paint the inside of the case and the PSU case, the current gray looks quite... ordinary. Here is the USB/audio module. I will be modifying this as well, because those thick beige cables are ungodly looking as they are unwieldly to route around the case. Probably will get rid of the audio as well for the sake of neatness.

Additionally it adds 8.99€ shipping cost for these, but Mindfactory offers free shipping if you buy past midnight which I'm planning to do. The PC will cost about 610€ that way. The plan is to have a small office PC for my parents that replaces the pretty old Mac Mini. I know that a 650W PSU is overkill for that build, but I initially planned a be quiet! Straight Power 11 450W. Unfortunately it's not available at Amazon or other shops at the moment. I read that AMD 4000 Desktop APUs should be released anytime soon too, but I don't know if it's worth the wait. I choose the Fractal Design Define Nano S as case, since it looks clean and is silenced. I'm planning to use the stock cooler (Wraith Spire) or maybe the Wraith Prism RGB of my build. The Prism should be a bitter better right? RGB doesn't matter as the case has no window. Is that build good or is there any big mistake? The mainboard is compatible with Ryzen 3000G, but out of the box?
