I'm considering to buy this monitor for daily productivity (mainly programming) use. I would like to hear opinions from other people who have this monitor, or other 34" ultrasharp series. I've been looking on reviews but couldn't find more than few that were not so much useful. The only con I see so far is that it has 60Hz refresh rate. I would personally like to have more because it is better for your eyes if you sit 8h a day in front of it, but since I'm not gaming this should be good also. How is the text quality and sharpness, is it sharp enough and good for reading, coding whole day. Are there any problems that I should be aware of? I've found it for pretty reasonable price (550€). Feel free to type your experiences

If anyone owns 27inch 2K(2560x1440) monitor and 34inch ultrawide curved (3440x1440), I would be really thankful if you could tell me these things: 1) Is 34 one better for productivity use (programming mainly)? 2) When you compare both on 100%scaling, are the icons and text smaller on ultrawide or is it same as on 27 or maybe bigger? 3) How much is 27 one taller? 4) Which one do you like more? 5) What models of both do you have? Would be great if there is anyone who can compare me this, currently been having 27 2K for few years, and thinking of making a transition to ultrawide 34inch. Any photo comparison would be good to see also.

I need a recommendation for a 34" 3440x1440 monitor. Something in the 500-700 range. MUST haves: IPS Panel 99% sRGB gamut coverage. 99% of DCI-p3 is needed as well) Just good colour accuracy in general At least 3 input options VESA mount option Nice to haves: USB ports. High refresh rate. Just for added smoothness Proper HDR over HDR 400 A second cheapish alternative for a second non primary 34" monitor would also greatly be appreciated! Many thanks people!

From Canada and want to upgrade from a 6 year old 24" 1080p 60 Hz TN panel. Are there any displays coming out this year that fit this criteria? 34" Ultrawide 1440p IPS panel preferred 75+ Hz Freesync (don't want to pay for G-sync marked up prices, Vega is releasing soon) Has a vesa mount (unless it has a nice adjustable sturdy stand) Minimal light bleed curved I considered getting the LG 34UC88, but it has an image retention issue which kills it for me.

Hey guys, I'm looking to remaking my whole setup considering I bought 4 monitors to try out for the past 6 months, and I'm planning to do so by stringing them up with a VESA mount with 3 on the horizontal and one on top of the middle monitor. The models of the monitors are the BenQ XL2720Z, the Dell U2715H, and two of the LG 29UM68-P. I know that these monitors are not 34", there is no other way I can fit those other 29" ultrawides, as they are too long to fit on a VESA mount for 27" monitors. BenQ in the middle, Dell on top, and the two ultrawides on the sides. I'd like to know if there are any VESA mounts that can achieve this, and if so, please go ahead and direct me to them.If not, then I might have try to build my own VESA mount to fit these monitors, as I cannot stand seeing my monitors not in use. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know a great multi monitors mount that can support 3x 34" inches screens? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey guys I'm planning on buying this monitor : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236717&cm_re=Asus_ROG_Swift_PG348Q_G-Sync-_-24-236-717-_-Product I'm buying this monitor bc I want to have an epic game experience on AAA titles but as I'm a CSGO tryharder I wonder if this is still playable on such a monitor. Does anybody here have a monitor of the same size and tryhard CSGO ? Is it too wide to properly play it ? Does the response time matter ? Does G-Sync matter ? Can you tell the difference between 100Hz and 144Hz ?

last year i wanted to swap my aoc 34" for a great x34, i moved and had some other projects that needed to be finished first *cough* mancave 2.0 now as i´m selling my 980ti and my 60hz aoc display to raise the budget i can finally do it ( tearing and ghosting kinda sucks) in past months bitwit and jayz2cents are still doing videos about it i´d like to stay at that 34" 3440x1440 format, just with more hz and maybe gsync to get it smoother is there is something "new" anounced thats worth waiting or a better option? i heard that acer doesnt produce the anounced X34P i´ve been waiting to get released

Someone please save me. I got a droplet of Starbond brand Cyanoacrylate on my 34 inch ultrawide (Acer xr342ck). Any chemist (or other "expert") here know how to get it off? I'm scared that anything I'll try would just make it worse. ?

"Choosing an Ultrawide (IPS) (3400x1440) (34') (Preferred Curved) Monitor While going through some series of monitors in my price range (which would be no more than $550 USD), I've narrowed it down to: A.) Acer's ED347CKR https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824011196&cm_re=ed7_acer-_-24-011-196-_-Product (ED347CKR bmidphzx) B.) LG's 34UM88C-P https://www.amazon.com/LG-34UM88C-P-34-Inch-21-UltraWide/dp/B01CDYB5CW/ref=pd_cp_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01CDYB5CW&pd_rd_r=523ca7f3-b3fb-11e8-9f1d-0fdf2b561195&pd_rd_w=VdAit&pd_rd_wg=io4n5&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=Q3D87WXRB4BT7ARP30MY&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=Q3D87WXRB4BT7ARP30MY Requirements (If there's something better since I'm inexperienced): 1.) 98+% sRGB Color Gamut 2.) 34' ultrawide 3.) 3440x1440 QHD (2560x1080 us quite popular, but I think it looks blurry) 4.) IPS 5.) 21:9 6.) 60+Hz Priority: IPS > Resolution/Aspect Ratio/34'/Vesa > Hz > Color Gamut > IO > Build Quality Priority: IPS > VA Irelevent: 1.)I have arms, so I don't care about the stand 2.)I have speakers, so built-in ones are useless 3.)Extra IO is useless as long as it functions properly Questions: 1.) I've been looking through the internet and have failed to find an answer. Seeing units like "Dynamic" or "ACM (seen on Acer's spec sheet)" placed right before a monitor's CR (Contrast Ratio). Are CR's comparable between brands like LG, BenQ, AOC, Samsung, or Acer? I see many different units and it gets quite confusing as some spec sheets don't even have a unit before it's CR value. For example, Acer's spec sheet said 100,000,000:1 on the listed model above, while LG was a low 5M:1. This is an unusual gap in specs for competing monitors in the same price range. 2.) When purchasing a high-end monitor (where the contrast and color are expected to be exceptional as compared to a normal IPS panel), should I even worry about different contrasts? Im not doing any color works, just browsing the internet and playing a few games. If so, should I be worried about the contrast on the 2 monitors listed above? 3.) Which monitor above is better value? 4.) Which monitor above is better overall? 5.) Any suggestions that hit the requirements? 6.) Currently, I have 2x monitor mounts (gas support, very nice. Dual+Single), and 3x Acer H236HL BID's attached to stupidly expensive human-centric adapters to hold them up. If you were in my shoes, would you sell 3x H236HL'S + a dual arm monitor mount (gas supported, very nice as well) for (about) 300 bucks and snag one of those clean looking (actual vesa) ultrawides that fit the requirements above? Would you consider it a viable option? NOTE: this is the only forum I've ever made an account on. This forum is quite active, and I feel my chances of being read is pretty ok. Thanks for reading!

Looking for monitor arm suggestions for a X34A + additional 25 inch ultrawide on top for...stuff. I can't expand horizontally since there's speakers on desk, so the only way is up. Paint sketch: Would prefer UK sellers (Amazon UK, eBay UK, not Scan though), would consider other EU seller countries (Germany, France, etc), would ideally like to avoid the US unless import fess are nice and cheap.

Hey guys, I am planning to buy a 120Hz/144hz 1440p 34" ultra wide IPS/PLS/Qled G-sync gaming display. I know some monitors have backlight bleed, ips bleed, whatever. These I don't want when you need to be lucky to get a good revision. What are your recommendations regarding these Monitors? max price 1200€ EU Based products please Thanks for your replies

So I'm planning on getting an ultrawide during these sales that will soon start during the holiday season. However, I doubt my system currently can run it, so I'm upgrading. Currently, I'm running a gtx 1080 Gigabyte Turbo, i7-6700K, with 16 Gigs of ram. I think the rest will work, but if I'm planning on trying to peak my performance near at least 100 fps on high-ish settings what would you guys recommend? By the way, this is what I'm planning on buying. ALIENWARE 34 CURVED GAMING MONITOR – AW3418DW

I'm looking to get an Ultrawide monitor in the near future to complete my 3-monitor surround setup. Ay my current state I have two 27" 16:9 monitors, and I want an ultrawide for the center display. As I don't like off-sized displays meaning one is narrower top-bottom than another, what 21:9 display is as close to the same height as possible to a 27" 16:9? Not including stand, just in terms of display area? Through a little math I assume a 34" 21:9 is but I just want some clarification. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

I'm saving up for an enthusiast build and was wondering if there will be an ultrawide monitor with an 144Hz refresh rate. PS: Sorry if i sound like an idiot it's my first time here. I just discovered LTT a few months ago and become a big fan since then.

Does anybody know if this monitor is worth the purchase even though a user(me for example) owns nvidia 980ti card. and Overall how is this monitor. i am thinking about buying this instead of AOC U3477PQU because i read alot of bad news about AOC in general. and LG is a long and well known company. also i read that this LG version has fixed the bleeds etc. Can anybody confirm any of these things and answer anything about it ? i did read that enabling freesync with nvidia gpu enables monitor to run at 75Hz which is nice. and maybe allow for a 90 Hz overclock hopefully. i will be buying from Scan. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/34-lg-34um67-ips-ultrawide-freesync-gaming-monitor-displayport-2xhdmi-dvi-2560x1080-300cd-m-10m1-5ms and i will also buy a vesa stand because i dont like the default monitor stand.it looks fancy but flimsy due to plastic. http://www.scan.co.uk/products/arctic-z1-single-monitor-arm-with-4-port-usb-hub-suppporting-vesa-mount-13-to-30-monitors-clamp-fitt PS . linus mentions that frame issue lowoer than 49fps? and higher than 75? whys that? or is this just when using freesync with amd cards?

Hey! I recently started revolutionizing my setup from a crappy folding table to a great new desk and work area. I have a great PC I built (specs below) and right now have a 27 inch 1080p dell monitor and a 23 inch 1080p emachines monitor right next to it. To make my setup more clean i'm looking to upgrade to a single 29"- 34" 2560 x 1440, leaning more towards the 32" - 34". It can be ultra wide, 21:9, 16:9, curved, no preferences really. Eventually I think I will be mounting it to the wall or a desk mount so something that can be mounted in the future would be nice. I just wanted to see what my options were and see what was suggested. The only problem is that I only have about $300 right now but I'm in no rush to buy right away, hopefully by the summer when I start working more and/or get some money from graduating high school I will make the purchase. Little food for thought: I'm going to college for computer science, programming and such, I also do dabble with some graphic design (illustrator/Photoshop) here and there. Adding to that I also game a lot so something that encases all of those things would be great! Thanks for any suggestions and if you have any questions go ahead and ask away!My PC: Mobo: Z97 Sabertooth Mark 2, Processor: Intel Core-i7 4790k, RAM: 16gb Corsair Dominator Platinum Series, GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW Edition Edit: Ideally I'd like to only spend about $500 but of course cheaper the better. I realize with that said, that would mean giving up things like it being curved which I understand. While doing some research I have decided that I would like it to be 21:9 for sure, the only thing I'm not sure about is whether I really need it to be 2560x1440 or if I can just deal with the 2560x1080. Its not like the stuff I'm doing is that dependent on it being 1440, it would just be a nice added benefit to have.I play CS:GO, ARMA 3, Battlefield 4, GTA V, Fallout 4, and other titles like that. I can't say that having it be 144hz is that important just because I've been playing on 60hz for over a year and don't mind it so that isn't a big factor when it comes to deciding. I can definitely deal with it being 60hz.

Hey all, I am looking for a 34" 3440x1440 21:9 monitor. I know of a few by LG however I do not have a $1000 to spend so I am wondering if there are any cheeper options like some of the Korean monitors that teksyndicate reviewed a little while back. Any thoughts would be great!

I am looking to purchase a an ultrawide 34 inch monitor for my workstation setup and for gaming on the side. i'm right now looking at the LG 34UC87C http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y09G6JG/?tag=pcpapi-20 the price has been fluctuating but it gets to $900 and this is the optimal price I want to spend but $1000 is the max I'd spend. If I am spending this much money I don't feel like it is worth it unless i'm getting more than a 60hz refresh rate on the monitor. I'd like to be able to enjoy games as well as work and productivity. So I have been hearing things about new monitors from Acer and stuff that have these higher refresh rate but are $200-300 more expensive than my current option. I hear news about different monitors releasing but I'm going to need to make a purchase in about a month. If anyone has any better suggestions i'd like to see what they are. Thanks! TL;DR Are there any 34" ultrawide curved monitors out there that are 1440p with >60hz for under $1000? Or should I wait another month to see if any new ones to come out in that price range?

I am after a 34" Curved monitor after looking at Linus's review of the Acer XR341CK. My budget is around £700 to accompany my G1 980Ti. Does anyone have any reccommendations on which monitor to buy? Or is the one Linus reviewed pretty much the bees knees? Thanks, Jonathan

Picking up a LG 34UM95 ultra wide screen (3440x1440) 21:9 Wondering if anyone out there that has one would care to share their thoughts on it... but specifically looking for recommendations on a new stand. I doubt they make one that is big enough to actually get that size of a screen vertical - but that would be cool. Thoughts?
