I'm considering these two monitors at the minute (LG 27UL850 or LG 27 QN880, I'm not firm on these two so am open to options as well. My budget is around £400), but I'm unsure of which to go for. I want to mount the monitor on an arm, which is the appeal of the Ergo (27QN880), but I'm not sure whether its better to go for the 4K option instead. Is the LG arm worth sacrificing 4K for? Would I really notice the difference between the 4K monitor and the QHD monitor? Background: I had an 27" iMac 5k for a while, but I returned it and I'm waiting for an M1 MacBook Pro to arrive at the minute. I'm studying for a masters degree, so will be using the monitor for usual student stuff (textbook reading, teams calls, advanced econometric regression analysis, Financial modelling in excel), as well as the occasional photo editing (hobby photography) and content consumption.

So I'm looking for a 144Hz 1440p IPS 27inch screen that can run 144Hz through HDMI, because I have a gaming laptop that I use for creative work aswell and I don't have a displayport. I ordered the LG 27GL850 UltraGear a few days ago and it doesn't seem to output more than 100Hz via HDMI. I did some research and it seems like I'm right and LG just asumes people are going to use display ports. So here I am stuck and not knowing how to know if a screen supports 144Hz through HDMI because sites don't even mention it. also I tried to set the screen to 144Hz using the display settings in windows, also tried via Nvidea control panel didn't work. tried calling the company that I bought it from, they don't know. Pls help.

Hi! A friend of mine managed to get himself a prebuild with 3080 and 5900x. He is looking for a 1440p high refreshment monitor he will mostly use for gaming and content consumption. He thought that he will have to wait up to two months for it but it seams to be arriving within a week or so, which made him scramble to find a monitor. He is based in UK and his budget is up to 600 pounds (less is better) The 3 he is considering right now are as follow ALIENWARE 27 GAMING MONITOR - AW2721D at £583.32 there is a big promotion down from £725 right now Samsung Odyssey G7 27" at £529.97 or 32" at £538.46 LG Electronics 27GN850 27 at £437.35 Do any of you have any of these and could share your thoughts or suggest something better within the budget. Thanks

While looking at memes and talking with some friends on discord my displays went black for a few seconds and an centemeter of black appeared at the right left and top edges of my 2 monitors. Friends said it sounds like the drivers for the graphics card (Nvidia 1070) updated them no luck, restarted the computer nothing changed. went into the Nvidia control panel and tried all the scaling and size settings nothing works. couldnt find a fix on google so trying here. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Is it better to buy a 27" 4K monitor or a 32" 2.5K monitor for graphic design and 3D CAD? Does anyone have experience with either of these..? I could buy either for roughly the same price(+/- 400 euro) but I'm not sure if a 32 inch is maybe too big, or a 4K screen is really necessary... Hello There. I am looking for a new monitor. Here are my requirements: - 27 inch - 1440p - Above 100 hertz - Below 5 ms response time - Cheaper than 500 bucks but below 400 is much better for me. - IPS panel and good viewing angles. Its very hard for me to find a monitor like that which is availalbe in EU. I am planning on using it for programming, gaming hereNthere and maybe some graphical design. What do you suggest I leave out of my requirements, to get the monitor for my budget. And do you have any monitor suggestions? Thanks. - William

Im looking to buy a new monitor that has G sync 144hz and either 1080 or 1440p resolution.Im kinda leaning towards buying a 1440p since im using a gtx 1080 though but still not sure.Anyway one of the 1440p monitors i found on amazon offered by acer predator was a 1440p monitor with G sync at 144hz.But they sell it in 2 sizes. At 23.8 inches and 27 inches. So i wanted to ask is there any difference in any 2 sizes in terms of the colour or image??

Backstory: About a month ago my Samsung T220 TN LCD monitor stopped working (capacitors died). So I got a AOC I2475PXQU IPS LED that will be a gift for my grandmother as a temporary replacement until I manage to fix my old monitor. Turns out my old monitor is a pain in the rear to disassemble - I can't remove the freakin stand that would enable me to remove the back panel and give me access to the capacitors. So now I'm in the market for a new monitor and because I don't see a 150-200€ investment in 1080p monitor as a good choice for 2017, I might as well pay that 40€ to get my monitor fixed and get a comparable experience for much less if I'd be interested in that. But now the IPS that I use as a temporary replacement spoiled me with viewing angles and a decent stand, I knew the benefits of IPS before but I was just so used to the trusty old TN that upgrading just for the sake of getting an IPS didn't seem good enough of the reason. Now I need to upgrade to a sharper screen with above 100ppi and am unsure about going back to TN especially when I'm paying more than 300€ for it. Main problem: I'm stuck deciding between premium IPS 1440p monitors vs entry level 4k monitors. I still see paying 300-400€ as a lot of money and don't want to spend it on displays that have any major problems or things I'd dislike. If I could find prices anywhere in EU as they are in the states this would have been a nonissue because i'd instapick U2515H for 250€, but since it's priced so close to 4k I can't decide if i should go for more colours(10bit) or higher resolution. Freesync is nice since i have RX480 and play older games that the card should handle in 4k but i never noticed any tearing during gameplay so it is not a deciding factor for me. Dell U2515H (25", 8bit, IPS, 1440p, 338€) vs Samsung U24E590D (24", PLS , 2160p, freesync, 344€, 325€) vs Samsung U28E570D (28", 10bit, TN, 2160p, freesync, 344€, 325€) for ~350€ range Dell UP2516D (25", 10bit, IPS, 1440p, 388€, 460€ ) vs LG 27UD58-B (27", IPS, 2160p, freesync, 395€) vs Samsung U28E590D (28",10bit, TN, 2160p, freesync, 375€) ~400€ I'm stuck for about 2 weeks now and I would appreciate any advice on what should I go for or your experience with the 120ppi vs 160ppi vs 180ppi, 8bit vs 10bit and 24" vs 28" decisions. Thank you for your time and suggestions in advance

Whatsup dudes! So I have 3 of these HP monitors currently sitting on my desk and their stands take up a lot of real estate on my desk. I would like to mount the montiors on a single wall mount underneath the TV. But I wouldn't be opposed to doing three separate mounts, I'm also not trying to break the bank. It looks like i will have to buy a bracket to make it capable to mount is that correct? If so what kind of bracket? And is there a solution that would mount into my wall and have three arms that can handle three 27 inch monitors? Most mounts i find are from the ranges of 22-25 inches recommended. Thank you guys i appreciate it.

Hi, One of my 24inch monitors just died it seems. I even changed DVI slots and the same monitor works and the other one is just not recognized by the computer (it has the green light but doesn't show anything) so I'm guessing it's dead. Anyways this is a good opportunity for an upgrade to a 27inch, mainly used for poker playing. That means having 8-12 tables of online poker on it, so not much playing. Resolution is an issue here, and most people used to recommend 2560X1440 because you can fit more tables, but now there are even 4k 3840 x 2160 monitors, so I'm really not sure what is best? I don't do any gaming besides some rocket league once in a while so main concerns for a monitor is basically quality and reduced eye strain. These are my current options although I'm very open to any other suggestions. I have no clue what is best, and right now I'd go for the LG b/c higher resolution and lowish price, but plz advise!!!! : 1) LG 27in 4k 3840 x 2160 : http://www.ncix.com/detail/lg-27ud58...ustomerReviews 469$ 2) Asus PG278Q 2560X1440 165HZRogue swift: http://www.ncix.com/detail/asus-pg27...-e5-100910.htm 899$ 3) BENQ 27in 2560X1440 4ms : http://www.ncix.com/detail/benq-gw27...ustomerReviews 399$ 4) Acer XG270HU Omidpx 27in Free Sync 144Hz LED Monitor 2560 X 1440 http://www.ncix.com/detail/acer-xg27...-6a-108628.htm 571$ 5) I just saw this recommend on your forums too, this seems huge but is also an option LG 34UC88 34" : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025343&nm_mc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r&cm_mmc=OTC-pr1c3grabb3r-_-Electronics-_-LG+Electronics-_-N82E16824025343&scpid=7&scid=scsho1689970 Thanks!

Hi guys and girls, I am looking to buy a new monitor 1440p 144Hz to replace my 1080p 60Hz monitor and after some research, it came down to 3 choices: LG 27GL850-B Aorus AD27QD Asus ROG Swift PG279Q because the PG279QZ is not available in Europe Could you advice me which one to choose or not to choose? Hi, i'm currently looking for a monitor because my laptop's screen is too small and it is straining my eyes whenever i try to do video editing. But, i'm currently running into a problem, my custom laptop does not comes with a display port and the monitors i'm looking at is 2k 144hz monitors, sooooo i was thinking that if it is possible to bypass this limitation by using a usb type c to display port converter. Will this idea work,or the type-c connector(not thunderbolt or 3.1) can display video outputs (possibly 144hz 2k)?

I've writted down long post, but possible information about monitor type of I choosing will helps not only me. Well, I'm choose Full HD 27" monitor for home/work/media purposes exclude games. For long hours work in a budget segment under 200-230$. I picked up on these models which are well reviewd and have ok and good reviews for theirs price and does not have critical negative feedbacks. All models with Flicker-Free tech. ALL LINKS TO MONITOR SPECIFICATIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF POST DELL: DELL SE2717H sRGB 95% Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 8M:1 DELL SE2719H NTSC 72% Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic - SE2717H in many reviews mentioned as gamer monitor for FreeSync technology and 75Hz work available. Of course, it have IPS glow effect, may be little splashes on white background but it's relative and even with these effects many of people ranked it as 4 and 5 stars. Pretty beautiful look. Difference between this two models almost nothing. And despite on later marking (19 and 17) I think 17th would be better from this two (I heard sRGB for every day basic uses is slightly better). AOC'es: AOC I2775PQU (no gamut info) Bright 300 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 50M:1 AOC I2790VQ/BT 100% sRGB Bright 250 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Well welcomed monitors in reviews and feedbacks. Both are have vertical customization. We have pretty strong mediocre ASUS. ASUS VC279H sRGB 91% Bright 250 кд Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 80M:1 Also I've found on some other monitor with lable DESIGNO MONITOR with extremely beautiful look. ASUS MX279HE sRGB 97.5% Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Information about this model coming up in april 2018 so it's relatively new. Not many reviews on YouTube and internet, but it has very good reviews and feedback on little more expensive brother on this monitor, is ASUS MX279-H. Last is Philips, which is brand as I been heard has been sold to the asian company and if believe in gossiping they do not really do well with this brand in terms of quality. But I dont know well. Philips 273V7QDSB Bright 250 Contrast 1000:1 Dynamic 100M:1 Summary: I prefer to buy AOC'es , but which is one I dont know because of one have more brightless but another one have more dynamic contrast. In reviews they are much equal. I can buy DELL, but I heard some people really don't like DELL production. Also, for a exotic choose we have cheaper version (I believe so) of ASUS monitor which is labeled as DESIGNO MONITOR. Could you please me with some help on it? I do not ask you for make decision for me, but if you can recommence some of this models, or vice versa cut some models off it would be great. Or at least you can point me on what kind of version should I rely on choosing monitor. I'm looking to buy a new primary monitor for gaming purposes and watching tv/movies. My budget is around €350,- and I'm stuck choosing between the MSI Optix MAG271CQR (€350) or the Acer Nitro VG271UPbmiipx (€359). Both monitors are 27 inch, 1440p, 144hz, 1ms, Freesync displays. The difference between the monitors are that the MSI monitor has a VA panel and the Acer monitor has an IPS panel. The MSI monitor has 50 nits more brightness and more contrast ratio, while the Acer monitor has 10 bit color instead of <8 bit. I got a Ryzen 3600x and a Gigabyte 5700XT as hardware. Right now I'm leaning more towards the Acer monitor, do you have any advice for me? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone, Been thinking of upgrading one of my two 24" Acer Predator 24 GN246HLBBID 144hz Monitor for a little while now. Now that i'm also thinking of upgrading my GPU (980TI EVGA ACX) I will definitely need to upgrade my monitor as it only supports 144hz via DL-DVI and i play a lot of shooters and fast paced games where the extra Mhz is nice. Since i'm upgrading i'm looking for 1440p monitors as we are slowly moving away from 1080p and into 4k. I've looked at some cheaper option but seems they suffer alot of backlight bleed and stuck pixels on stuff like the iiyama's red eagle. Been keeping an eye on a new MSI OPTIX MAG272QR 27" which atm i can only find pre-order but no reviews on it at all but well priced at £270 Seen some other options from AOC and Acer higher up the price range. What recommendation do people have for 24-27inch 144hz 1440p monitors in the price range specified?

Hello everyone, I've been on the lookout for a good gaming monitor for a while now. Looking for something that is at least 1440p, 27 inches and 144hz. G-Sync and good response time is a nice bonus but not as important as the first 3. My budget is around £600 (~$730). Was thinking about an ultrawide but I heard it's hard to find something with my requirements around that price range. Any recommendations are appreciated. Edit: Thank you all for recommendations!

I wanted to get a new 1440p 144 Hz monitor. Don't have that big of a budget though, I came across this 350 euro Va panel from samsung called: LC27JG50QQU, it's also called the CJG5 It also to happen to be curved. Does anyone know if it's any good? Or any reasons not to get it? https://www.samsung.com/nl/monitors/premium-curved-gaming-monitor-jg50/

Does 32inch monitor display more area space in game than 27inch with same resolution 2k and apsect ratio 16:9 i play total war games and sometimes controlling large armies can be hard as many are outside of my viewing, so does buying larger screen allow me to see more from the game? I hope you got my point. my concern is both have same aspect ration and i dont want the 32 inch just enlarge the picture with no addition of viewing space. thanks

So im planning on buying a AOC i2769Vm from Amazon, which is a 27 inch 1080p monitor. Before I do this I have a question. My brother had bought two Asus 24 inch 1080p monitors and those are beautiful, but I was wondering if the extra 3 inches of diagonal width would make the picture look grainy because of the resolution, like is it enough to still enjoy a 27 inch monitor? Would it ruin the experience and should I just get a 1440p 27 inch monitor instead for another 100 - 150$? If so point me to another 1440p 27 inch for a good price, looking no more than 250$, I wanna run dual monitor and I don't want to spend all of my money on monitors.
