Much appreciated!

My budget is around 300€ (or less if possible) Games I want to be playing : Warzone , Mafia, Red dead redemption , cyberpunk and anything else I will throw at it ,mostly gaming tho. Most eu shops will do for me I already have a 1650s and I’m gaming at 1080p on a 60hz display, I want to purchase the hardware on Black Friday ideally I know the new ryzen 5000 series is going to be released soon but I think the prices will be too high and the availability might not be there I am not sure which B450 board to buy , I think a b550 doesn’t have more to offer , and i don’t really know if I should go for a ryzen 7 2700 for the future proofing(extra cores) or for a ryzen 5 3600 .I also don’t know if any ram will do but I wanna go for 16gb. Your recommendations will be appreciated . Thanks in advance .

Hi guys I just got a B450 MSI Tomahawk motherboard with my Ryzen 7 2700 and they are working great, I'm really happy. I just tried the auto OC utility setting that came within the board`s BIOS (it applied a 3,65 GHz OC). The bad thing is that it goes up to 95C under CB R20 load. I would like a recommendation for a cooling solution that allows me to OC this bad boy. I'm using Artic Silver paste on a pretty mediocre case with only 2 fans. I will definitely buy another case more fans in the future

A friend of mine has asked me to upgrade his CPU, since it has an old FX 9590. Since he mostly does heavy multi-threaded work (FL Studio) and some light gaming (he has a 1050-Ti) I thought that the 2700 (non-X) or the 3700X were the best choices. Now, obviously, the 3700X is a much better CPU, we all know that, but the problem is that he doesn't want to spend too much and the price difference is quite a lot, 360€ for the 3700X and 207€ for the 2700. Searching around it seems that the gap in performance isn't that much to justify a jump of 160€, basically 1,5 times the 2700 price. Now, he said that if it's worth it he can spend 160€ and take the 3700X, but I don't want to make him spend what would cost the whole upgrade with the 2700 just for the 3700X if it's not worth it. So from the research I've done it seems that the 2700 has a much better value, at least in this case, but I wanted to also ask here, since I wanted to be sure. What do you guys think?

New Ryzen 7 3700X build with stock cooler, why am I getting 47 degrees at idle with XMP 3200 profile? I used Noctua H1 thermal paste, idle temps should be lower than this....

This is most likely a stupid question, but I was talking to a friend about upgrading his PC and at some point RAM came up. I couldn't remember what speed I had so I looked up how to do find it and found out I can look at it more easily through the command "wmic memorychip get speed" which displayed two lines of "2666". That to me seems like I have two sticks of 2700 Mhz but I looked at the online receipt I got a while back and it clearly says "CORSAIR 16GB 2X8 D4 3600 C16 VLPX". Is this normal and I'm just being stupid/need to mess around in the BIOS or did I get scammed? Sorry if I respond late and thank you in advance if I personally forget to do so!

Hi there. I have a pc right now and I am in the process of upgrading and I am looking for advice. My current setup is a ryzen 5 2400g with a stock cooler, a strix rx 580, 16 gb of 3000mhz ram and 120 gb of ssd storage (that is all the storage and I really need more. I know.) All of that i on the msi b350-m gaming pro motherboard and powered by a 500w power supply in the lian li pc011. My current plan is to upgrade storage, cooler, psu, motherboard, cpu, and system fans (the fans I have are trash.) I plan on buying the h100i pro, a corsair 650w power supply, the samsung 860 evo ssd, 3 corsair LL series fans, an asus prime x470 motherboard, and some ryzen 3000 cpu (probably something in the 200$-300$ range). At the end of this summer I will have 1070 dollars. if you were do take away the definite things such as the cooler, fans and power supply then I will have about 512$ left (I also plan on buying a new monitor and webcam). Recently I have been seeing good ryzen cpu's going for very cheap such as the 1700 for 160$, the 1800x for 221$, the 2700 for 224$, and even the 1700x for 177$. Would it be worth it to buy a nicer x370 board such as the STRIX x370 F or even a B450 such as the STRIX b450 F. Would it be a better Idea to save my money and buy a nicer chip down the road and get the X470 prime(150$) or get a good value chip right now and get a good motherboard to go along with it. Also do you have any advice on a good bang for the buck 500gb ssd or even a 1tb ssd?

Hi So I've been needing a new CPU for a while so now it's time to do so. I've been going between the i5 9600k, Ryzen 2700x, 2700 (Non-X) and the i7 8700, but I seriously cannot decide. My current pc specs are: i5 6400 2.7GHz Asus b150m-a GTX 1060 6gb 16gb ddr4 2133MHz 500w power supply And since my power button on my case broke a little while ago, I need a new case. I mostly play PUBG, BF5 and a little CS:GO here and there. So a total budget of around 800 dollars for a new CPU, motherboard, case and if needed CPU cooler, nothing has been decided so please help a brother out :D Great day!

Just upgraded from a 21.5" 1080p 60hz panel to a 34" 1440p 120hz, and now I gotta drive it. Im upgrading my gpu, cpu, and possibly ram. With a 2070, what do you guys think should be paired with it. I'm sure I could probably get away with a 2600 or 2600x, but should I go with the 2700 instead? (2700x is 80$ more and theres a decent chance they will overclock similarly) Also right now I have 16gb of 3200mhz ram, should I buy another 16g kit or just wing it.

Hey everyone. I’m currently rocking a 2400G I bought a while back and I’m looking to upgrade to a new processor. I’m having a hard time deciding between a 2700 which is $169 on Amazon and the 3600 at $195. I know the 3600 is roughly 15-20% in single core and lightly threaded workloads including games, while the 2700 is about 15% faster in heavily multithreaded workloads. I’m not too concerned with gaming performance or pushing high fps, 60-90 1080p is good for me at this point, I only have a 1080p-144Hz monitor right now. I do like the idea of extra cores and threads and I’m looking into getting into video editing and rendering down the line and don’t intend on upgrading for a while. If I do get the 2700 I plan on Overclocking all cores to at least 4.0-4.1Ghz if I get a good chip. I know the 3600 can usually hit 4.1-4.3GHz What is everyone’s thoughts based on current prices and relative performance?

Hey all, So I have a question about my current setup, as I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done within the BIOS or with Ryzen Master software. When I'm gaming, the CPU runs at around 3.2 - 3.3 Ghz on all cores when not overclocked. Temps are very cool, with the chip running in the mid-30's celsius while gaming and rarely spikes above 45 celsius when Precision Boost OC boosts 1 or 2 of the cores. However, I'd like to do some overclocking as it appears temps may not be an issue. Forgive me, as I'm not currently in front of that computer, but I couldn't really find an option that would allow the voltage to become overclocked but also ramp down voltages when the load didn't need that much power. The result was that the CPU clocks and voltages would be stuck at what it was manually set to. I could not find an option to allow the voltages/clocks to scale with the clocks. I seem to remember an older ASUS Z97-A board having that feature, an "offset" I think was what it was called. I can definitely screen shot the settings and post them here when I get back, but I'm not sure if anyone will kinda know based on this board if this board just can't do that type of overclocking. Ideally, I'd love to be able to overclock the CPU to allow all of the cores to hit 4.0 Ghz when gaming and allow an increased voltage load to support that, then have clocks/voltages come back down when idling on desktop or browsing the web. Hello everyone! I built a new System and I was having hardcore BSOD'S. I have Reinstalled the OS and added in the drivers that are necessary. I still get a Bsod here and there but not as much. I have researched and a lot of people say update the chipset drivers. I have done so using asus drivers and amd and still run into the problems. I have zipped up the perfmon report and the sysnativefilecollection in a Gdrive here. I did a Memory Test and no errors. i have not had a bsod overnight i believe there was a at 1:22 am. i left it on all night just to see what would happen. the even that happened was; "The AMDRyzenMasterDriver service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the path specified." I included a XML file of the event. If you want to see it but need it in another format just let me know. I pretty much just want to make sure if anyone else sees what i may be missing or if i magically corrected the error. Please also include the following information: OS - Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista ? WIN10Home x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? X64 What OS was originaly installed on the system? New build Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from a retailer)? Hello All i am fairly new to the pc over clocking game. I need some help to boost up my 2700 clock speeds. I am currently in the midst of deciding to get a cm 212 black (non RGB) or an aio (probably h100???). I don’t know. I need help choosing. I’m not expecting much over clock head room. Although the vendor at micro center told me I can get to 4.1 ghz on the stock cooler. I knew that was almost impossible. However, I can’t seem to over clock it past 3.30 ghz. I’ve searched up other people’s clocks and setups. Most of them had aftermarket coolers but I’m still not expecting anything crazy. Highest on the stock maybe 3.6 ghz (that’s a guess) here’s my setup Ryzen 2700 MSI MPG 570 mb 1x ballstix 8gb 2400 2x viper 4gb 2400 Radeon RX Vega 56 EVGA 750 N1

This is not the final product, however I am set on the CPU Mobo combo. These prices are in USD, parts list is at the bottom of the post. The goal here is to build a PC that can game and double as a "workstation" mainly editing game highlights and photos. As far as gaming is concerned I want to play at 2560 x 1440 the games I play are World of Warcraft, Leauge of Legends, various FPS, GTA V, and Farcry 5. For editing software I primarily use Adobe products. Budget isn't really a concern because another big part of this build is the appearance I want something that is going to draw attention because my computer station is in the living room so I kind of want it to be an art piece more or less if that makes sense. I'm also willing to pay for quality parts over shady or under powered equipment. My previous PC was a AMD FX-6300 unfortunately it has died so I decided it was time to move on to the new platform. I want some suggestions on better cases I really like the Fractal Meshify C but I feel like the Lian Li 011 Dynamic would also be a good choice as far as features and looks go. Monitor suggestions would be a BIG help too I haven't had to shop for a new monitor in a long time I've had the same 1600 x 900 Acer for almost 7 years. I've built a few computers but I'm sure there are things that have been forgotten or overlooked. I'm not in a hurry to build this because I want to do a little more research over the next few weeks I might even consider waiting until the holidays to pick up some good deals. Hey, so I'm not the most tech savviest person ever, in fact putting in this cpu was the first time I've ever done it. But I'm having some trouble I believe. The base clock speed for the 2700 is 3.2ghz stock but turbos to 4.1. I do know that the turbo speed isn't permanent on every core, but gaming I wasn't able to achieve anything past 3.5ghz (MSI afterburner/HWMonitor) while playing Fallout 4 on ultra/high settings. I'm currently CPU stress testing with Aida64 extreme but it's only reached a max speed of 3.4. I've left all the settings at stock. I hope I just simple did something incorrectly and didn't get a faulty chip.

Hey guys so my best friend got some money together and asked me to choose and assemble a computer he said he had to be small (itx) good for gaming, streaming and CAD. Here's the parts: Ryzen 7 2700 Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac G.Skill 16GB (2xGB) DDR4 3000MHz Aegis Now for the problem. I assembled everything and turned it on and all the fans spin but no post, I immediately thought either incompatible memory or incompatibility between the new Ryzen chip and the last gen mobo. Any opinion on what the problem is and what's my next step? contact the seller? Mobo manufacturer? AMD? None of the repair shops in my city in Portugal have a last gen Ryzen to do the bios update. Should I just return the mobo and ram, and buy a B450 and official Ryzen supported pack respectively? Help, We are lost and frustrated

Hi, in the following video: after 4:49 in his benchmarks of the GPUs, both systems with Ryzen 2700x and Intel i7 8700K performed almost the same. Everywhere else on the Internet (in game benchmarks), Ryzen 2700X performs around 15-20% worse in games than the i7 8700K. How does Ryzen match up to Intel here? I'm genuinely interested because I want to build a new gaming PC in the next 2 months (until I have everything I need for the price I want) and I'm undecided on AMD or Intel. AMD because of the possibility of an easy and less costly upgrade to 7nm Ryzen 3000 series. Also, I don't want to wait for another year for the new CPUs, my current build is from 2011 with a GTX580...

witch is better for gaming ? .. as both are at the same price

On the French website Tom's Hardware, relaying Chinese website "Hardware Battle", a capture of a synthetic test of the allegedly 2700X, show some good performance compare to his rival, the Intel 8700K. http://www.tomshardware.fr/articles/ryzen-7-2000-processeur-amd-benchmarks,1-66968.html I translate for you : The Chinese "Hardware Battle" just publish new benchmarks of Ryzen 2000 (allegedly 2700X) CPU. The website doesn't give the exact model and we have to wait the launch of the new family of chip in April to confirm those result. They are interesting, because they show that XFR 2.0 of Ryzen 2000 could reach 4.35Ghz, offering a boost in performance relative to first Ryzen. Ryzen 2000 could take the leap against Coffe Lake 8700K according to the result in 3D Mark FireStrike Ultra and Cinebench R15. It is important to take this with a bit of salt, and wait for more ample test. Results of those benchmarks are nonetheless encouraging. this boost gain in performance seem to be due to memory optimization, AIDA64 is showing a non-negligible drop in latency.
