If anyone owns 27inch 2K(2560x1440) monitor and 34inch ultrawide curved (3440x1440), I would be really thankful if you could tell me these things: 1) Is 34 one better for productivity use (programming mainly)? 2) When you compare both on 100%scaling, are the icons and text smaller on ultrawide or is it same as on 27 or maybe bigger? 3) How much is 27 one taller? 4) Which one do you like more? 5) What models of both do you have? Would be great if there is anyone who can compare me this, currently been having 27 2K for few years, and thinking of making a transition to ultrawide 34inch. Any photo comparison would be good to see also.

I'm in the market for two monitors, meeting the following requirements: Prospective Resolution: 3840 X 2160 Size: 27/28 inches Aspect Ratio: 16 : 9 Adaptive Sync: GSync Other Features: True HDR would be nice From a reliable brand - likely to see 10+ hrs use a day VESA 80x80 or 100x100 (i have a dual monitor arm that only supports these mounting options) Inbuilt USB C hub for my Macbook - though can get one elsewhere and mount it behind my monitor Usage Type: Gaming (2-3 hrs a day) General Productivity (I am a software engineer, 7-8 hrs a day) Other notes: UK based so some monitors e.g. Innocn 27m2v are not available Current thinking: LG Ultragear 27GR39U-B Computex was just on, and there wasn't really much announced that meets this spec, while it was on LG quietly announced the 27GR93U-B. A lot of buying guides recommend it's predecessor - the discontinued LG 27GP950-B. I've been informed LG usually has pretty good build quality? I'll be using this for many years, daily for 10+ hrs - I want something that will last. Cooler master Tempest GP27U I've seen good reviews of this (Rtings), and understand it had firmware issues at release, which are now addressed. But there appears to be an ongoing flicker issues? Though I can avoid that through disabling the combination of HDR and Adaptive Refresh Rate? I'm leaning towards it, but not really sure about it given the "beta like" nature of the product described on other sites, and not sure about the longevity of a cooler master monitor.

I am unable to decide on which monitor size would be better for 1440p gaming. The two models that I have decided on are the Dell S3222DGM or the Dell S2722DGM. They are the same monitor just different sizes. Would 27 in. or 32 in. be better for 1440p gaming?

Hello to everybody I am looking to find a replacement panel for my HP E27 G4 as well as a potential guide. I would like to know if it can be repaired and potentially where I can get the parts. I have looked in HP's HP PartSurfer for parts but I can not find the part(attached) I have attached the image of how the monitor looks now and the 2 pages from HP. I live in Cyprus ( yes its a country in Europe) so something within Europe would be best Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Hello everyone, first time writing here, nice to meet you. I'm in a bit of a pickle with two main questions and a story. After all those ads, Top X ranking etc. I've decided to finally jump into 4k 144hz and bought LG 27GN950-B about 4 months ago and well... On the first one, DP broke after exactly one month (exactly 1st to 1st of the next month). Monitor was being detected by windows but the display was black, the integrated menu stuck showing 0Hz (HDMI worked fine). Sent it to my local LG and after 1,5 months and some back and forth, got a reply that They don't have highend enough PC to test the monitor, 60hz works and I will get a new one - fine. Got the new one, DP immediately had artifacts, I've updated the firmware just to be sure - no change. Sent to LG again. Half a month - received the same unit with "fixed DP connections". EXACTLY to a second - one month of using after that... The same issue as the first replaced monitor. DP output suddenly died. Windows sees monitor just fine, menu shows 0Hz. Resetting any display settings does not help. I have tried DDU and other things but I am pretty sure that's not my PC's fault (both monitors worked fine for a month. I can post pc specs if that's relevant). TLDR; - Has anyone else had/heard about issues with that monitor? I was looking around a bit and found lack of such issues online. Am I the unluckiest person in my region to have all LG replacements break on me? - What are good 4k 144hz GSync/GSync-compatible alternatives for this monitor around the same price (maybe $100-200 more if necessary)? I can replace it again but to be honest I feel done with LG for the time being. And I hope for a refund. I don't care for HDR. Had some issues with Nvidia Shadowplay and HDR but I am open to revisit the idea of HDR. I am aware of Acer Predator series and some Asus ROG Strix monitors at 4k 144hz but found no comprehensive comparison between all those models and the 27GN950-B. Thank you for your help

I've come down to two monitors for my upgrade from a 24" 1080p TN panel; ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/viewsonic/vx2758-2kp-mhd Pixio PX7 Prime: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/pixio/px7-prime So far I'm leaning towards the ViewSonic because it has a slightly better contrast ratio, much better black uniformity for an IPS panel and better colour gamut coverage. I'm going to be using my monitor only for gaming, and I'm looking for an upgrade in picture quality in games like Cyberpunk, The Outer Worlds, Metro Exodus etc. What's your opinion? Will the upgrade help with the picture quality of the game and make the colours less washed?

I recently bought a RTX 3070Ti and wanted to get a better monitor. I wanted to go from 1080p to 1440p and keep the high refresh rate. It should be somewhere between 27 and 32 inches in sices. I have been looking at 3 Samsung monitors that seem decent but vary in price. Is the price difference between those monitors worth it and are there equivalent or better monitors for these prices? SAMSUNG S27AG500NU Odyssey Gaming G5A 27 Inch ~299.–€ SAMSUNG S32AG520PU 32 Inch ~ 489.99€ SAMSUNG Odyssey G7 (C32G74TQSR) 32 Inch ~ 549.99€ Also I am not sure about 1000R curved monitors. Are they good to use with 24" flat second monitor?

I'm thinking about my next monitor upgrade, only knowing for certain that the must haves are 27", 1440p, 16:9 straight IPS panel and 240hz (or greater) refresh rate, and as of now I've settled down on these two: Asus PG27AQN and Alienware AW2721D. I've done (modest amount of) research and it is clear that these two do different things better, namely the Asus display has 360hz panel and better pixel response times, while Alienware beats it at color accuracy and HDR performance, while also being cheaper. This alone should make the decision easy in theory, just decide what is more important, gaming or content, and pick the better one for the job, but I still have doubts about either, so I have following questions: -is pixel overdrive bad enough on either that it could be a deal breaker? and if not then is one remarkably better than the other? -is alienware HDR good enough to at least consider using, or just good enough for a sticker on a box? -does either have noticeable problems with backlight bleed? -this one might sound weird, but does 360hz of the Asus in gaming outweight the color accuracy of Alienware for content or the other way around, or are these equally overkill? This should be a one for me to answer, but I've never experienced either such refresh rate or color reproduction, so having a second opinion would be helpful. -which one would you pick personally, can ignore pricing for this one. My questions are directed mostly to owners and ex-owners of at least one of these, but opinions from people who have experienced them (even if for a short time) or who understand more from the reviews than I do are also welcome. Also my decision is not final yet, I am open for propositions, the only requirements are pretty much what I said in first line + availability in Europe, and g-sync ultimate would be nice to have (and while I am willing to spend quite some cash, don't go bonkers with the price, I don't exactly need a cinema grade color calibration screen or anything), so if you have interesting proposition, I am listening.

Hello all, I have been looking for a new monitor for the last few months and I need some help. OK so for over 8 years I have been using this: https://www.asus.com/Monitors/VX238H/ which still works fine and such but of course over time you would want to upgrade, so I will try explain everything that I am looking for and hopefully be able to find something OK my basis is to have a slightly bigger screen that has a fast response time and also the stunning colours, TN panels are meh and am wanting something a bit more vibrant especially with how much it costs.. Now I do know that there are not many if any IPS screens boasting 1ms times, but even a VA panel would be better. Must have: 2560x1440 Res 120hz + 1ms Response Time VA or IPS Panel Possibly 10Bit colour. 27-28" Money isn't really an issue but if you can find one under $600USD then that would be great!! Thanks guys!!!

Hello! I am in the market for a budget 27" 1440p monitor. I am going to do a little bit of gaming (Minecraft/Forza) and some schoolwork. I was looking at the Acer V277U 27" as if has many positive reviews and I have heard great things about it. The V277U has a price tag of only $250 and I am very very happy with that price. My current GPU is the Asus Tuf GTX 1650 SUPER. As I said earlier, I'm not going to be gaming a whole lot, but when I do game, I really want it to be good at gaming. I just want to make sure that by not using a AMD GPU with FreeSync I am not losing out on anything to major, because I have a GeForce GPU. Thanks! (If you have any other suggestions for monitors, please let me know!)

Hi, i've been doing some research on what new monitor to get. Im looking for something thats 27" 144hz and va and 1440p and preferably curved. so far i've found 2 i'm torn between and would like some reccomendatoins between them or maybe others you think are better for the price. i found the 27" MSI Optix MAG271CQR Curved Monitor and the AOC CQ32G1 31.5" QHD FreeSync 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor From the rewies and price im leaning more towards the AOC, I love RGB but on a monitor even i think its a bit pointless haha. just wondering if the worse brand (AOC) will come with any compromises and if 31" will be to big. im using a 24" 144hz TN currently and though that 27" would be perfect but from looking at reviews people seem to love wide monitors so as a whole im leaning towards the AOC. (Yes i have the desk space and im buying it 1440p for when i get my new gpu in a few months, future proofing. I have no problem gaming on it in 1080p ) Opinions?

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor but i can't find an article with a solid suggestion. what would be a ideal size for 1080p. i'll be upgrading from a 21.5 tft monitor 60Hz. i like a 27 inch viotek but i'm hesitant on the purchase because it's a one time investment i desire to want to make, any suggestions would greatly help my stressed out mind. i appreciate it. budget is between $200-$300

i want to go 1440p but would it look better on a bigger monitor at 27in or look amazing at 24in, since there is less room and more pixels? right? 24in monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-S2417DG-YNY1D-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B01IOO4SGK/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1484777945&sr=1-1&keywords=dell+gaming+monitor 27in monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Gaming-S2716DG-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B0149QBOF0/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1484778105&sr=1-1&keywords=dell+gaming+monitor+s2716dg Thanks guys my rig is a 4790k gtx 1070 8 gbs ram but may move to 16

So I've been thinking about putting my GTX 1080 ti to use. I'm currently rocking a 1080p monitor with 144hz. What do you guys think about the Acer Predator 27" at 1440p? Is it worth the money?

Hey fellas, for the last little while I was thinking of retiring my decade old 1920x1200 BenQ and getting something exciting, which boiled down to either getting the VR headset, or a similarly priced gaming monitor. But after trying an Oculus Rift I realized that I'd rather go with the latter. So, after frantic googling I've narrowed the specs down to the following list: FreeSync, since I'm consistently at camp red 27"+, as it would just feel weird trading my 24" 1920x1200 for 24" 1920x1080 1440p, same as above 144Hz, because you gottagofast After that the list of suspects shrunk right down to the following models, all costing about the same (~500€ in Germany): Asus MG278Q - TN panel, praised for it's "almost IPS quality", simple yet aggressive aesthetics and overall brand recognition. On the downside, I think it's by now being edged out of the market, though there are still plenty of places to buy Acer XF270 - the only IPS panel I found that matches the criteria, and that's about all of its advantages AOC Agon AG271QX - again a TV panel, and the distinction compared to the other two is a slightly wider FreeSync range: 30Hz - 144Hz (vs. 40Hz - 144Hz). And this is where you guys come in - I haven't seen detailed reviews comparing the three, and all I see are praises to each of them separately But I just can't find the info if either of them is better than the others in image quality/color bleed/other things not visible from the specs? And if they are all pretty similar, does it make sense to prioritize IPS, lower FreeSync range or the ASUS branding?

Hello fellow members. I am going to buy an additional monitor to go along with my Lg ultrawide. I will use this new monitor almost exclusively for gaming and my choice ended with these two monitors : Acer XB271HU Acer XB241YU They are basically the same 1440p, 144(165)Hz, gsync and tn, except for the size and price : 24" @500€ and 27" @650€. My question is : is the 27 inches worth the 150€ added cost, and is 24" that different, given that it will be at the same resolution? I am playing on my 34 inches ultrawide for now (27inches for games that don't support 21/9) atm

I'm trying to find a decent 24"-27" G-Sync, ideally 120-144hz, monitor that compares to the Asus ROG SWIFT line but doesn't cost your firstborn child...
