I'm looking for a monitor that will be mostly used for gaming / work. Currently I have a very cheap 144Hz 27" 1080p monitor and I'm all around not happy with it at all, so now that I have some money to spare I am looking for a replacement. I would like another 27" monitor so I can use the old one as secondary one and because that way I can have the monitor further away from me and at that size 1080p just does not look nice anymore. Since I like to play competitive games (Rocket League, R6:Siege, Valorant..) I cannot live without my high refresh rate anymore, but I don't really care if its 120Hz, 144Hz or 160Hz, G-Sync Compatible would also be great. Lastly the monitor should also have good color accuracy and contrast (HDR?) for the visually appealing Games and Movies. So bottom line it should be somewhat of an allrounder for around 300-450€ but I'm willing to spend more if it checks all my boxes. So far I've had my eye on a couple of monitors, all come with their downsides: LG 27GN800-B -I can live without the "gamery" Design but its not a dealbreaker, I've read very different things about the contrast from one review (sample) to the other, BenQ EX2780q -Basic stand, Can't find anything about G-Sync compatibility ViewSonic XG2705-2K -no HDR, no reference to G-Sync Viewsonic XG270 - A bit more pricey but seems to check all my boxes Which ones of these (or any other) would you reccomend for my needs Thank you in Advance Kind Regards Minaj

Hey Guys, I'm a gamer who plays a lot of story games and also a lot of multiplayer competitive games and I like both of them really much and it's my first time buying a monitor after I got my first pc. The thing is that I'm stucking with two options. The first option would be a gaming monitor with 27 inch, 144hz, 1440p and ips panel. The second option would be 24 inch, 144hz, 1080p and ips panel. The biggest problem for me is the size because like I already said that I also play many online games and I don't know if 27 inch would be to big for me because you have a better overlook on 24 inch and on the other side I think that 1440p would be better with my rtx 2070 but I've also heard it's not worth WQHD on a 24 inch monitor and I never had a WQHD monitor before. Right now I'm playing on 22 inch with 60hz. I just can't decide please help me

Hi! I upgraded my PC about year ago to a RTX 2080 TI, and now I finally want to upgrade my 1080p 144hz monitor to something more on par with my graphics card I use my monitor for development work on the day to day, so text clarity is pretty important to me, but when I game I both play cinematic single player games like Assassins Creed/Doom/Control, but I also play fast MP games like Apex/PUBG/COD. So I was really hoping to find a monitor which is: 1. 100hz+ refresh rate 2. HDR 600 (probably will not be able to afford an HDR 1000 monitor) 3. 27 inch (maybe 32, but it's a bit too big for my setup I think) 4. 1440p or 4k monitor (not ultra-wide) I am basically debating between the following monitors: 1. Samsung Odyssey G7 2. Asus VG27AQ (which I know only has HDR 400) 3. LG 27GN950 (or LG 27GN950-B, but I don't really understand the difference) I am also open to other good suggestions I am not necessarily looking to max out my budget, and it does feel like 4K gaming is not in a place where I can fully enjoy it in an affordable way, but I am having a really hard time deciding Would be happy for any recommendation Thanks!

Hi, I am in need of 27 inch 2560x1440 monitor with great readability. I will be using it for work(coding, documentation and reading). My budget is around USD 300-500. Picture by picture mode and a stand with height and pivot adjustment will be great. Thanks Aaseem

My girlfriend is looking for two 1080p monitors, is 27" is decent for general productivity and gaming or does it look pixelated? We also wonder, do dual curved monitors make sense or should we look for flat monitors?

Hey guys, just like it says in the title i am looking to get a 27" 1440p (1080p?) Freesync monitor that could maybe double as a TV for a console or just a TV. Any ideas or suggestions? I am open to changing my idea completely and going with something else entirely. Thank you

Hey guys! So I'm currently looking to buy a new monitor, but I'm wavering between a 27 inch 1920x1080 monitor or a 29 inch 2560x1080 monitor. I really can't decide on which size to go for. And I won't go for 1440p or 4k, so it will only be between full hd ultrawide or regular 1920x1080. Anyone care to enlighten which one I should go for If I mostly do gaming?

So I recently picked up this monitor from MP: https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=113&cp_id=11313&cs_id=1130703&p_id=16384&seq=1&format=2 and this DP wire: https://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=102&cp_id=10246&cs_id=1024601&p_id=13361&seq=1&format=2 At first I was running on Dual link DVI-D at around 80hz 1440 and it seemed to be fine, however, when my DP wire came in, and I upped it to 1440p 144hz, the monitor began refreshing like the dp connection was cutting out and coming back in again (black screen for a second, shows resolution and hz like i just plugged in). The part that confuses me the most is that it seems like this happens completely randomly. At first, it would happen 5 or 6 times in a row (within 15 seconds) and then it wouldn't happen for 2 hours, and then it would do it once, then 5 minutes later 3 times etc etc. It even lasted 2 days (with lots of overwatching and rocket league) without any issues, and then it started up again today (4 times within 1 rocket league game). I tried the wire on my friend's monitor (its the exact same one) for like 30 mins and didn't notice it occuring, however, with this issue I can never really be sure that it won't randomly happen. I don't know what to do here, I don't really want to rma my monitor but if worst comes to worst I can commit. I have my dvi still so i can make do at 80hz for a couple days. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!! INFO ATTACHED Desktop INFO.txt

I've been thinking of getting 2 1080p 27 inch 75hz dell monitors for a dual monitor setup but are dual monitors worth it? I do alot of stuff on my computer but i'm wondering if its gonna be worth the investment. I'm also trying to decide if i should get one 1080p 27 inch 75hz dell monitor & the 2nd monitor to be an Asus 1080 24 inch 144hz monitor with freesync (My PC specs if you are curious: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/v3Vvpb)

Hello, I hope everyone is having a great day. I would like to ask for a little help. i've been looking for a primarily gaming monitor, specifically at the AOC G2770PF 27 inch 1080p 144hz monitor. (which also happens to be on sale) Now, by reviews and comparisons of its tested performance its an excellent bang for the buck. i will mostly use it for gaming, some graphic and image editing work too (but nothing that really requires accurate color representation) and the occasional movie. my current monitor is a 10 year old TN LCD 1680X1050 panel that basically at the point where a toaster would be an upgrade. I play a a wide selection of games, and also play competitive fps titles, currently mostly playing overwatch, Freesync is fine as i plan to upgrade my current R9 380X (yes it can run 144hz, it has a very heavy OC) to an RX vega when that is out (probably the middle, GTX 1080 equivalent or 1080ti) so i might be ok for a 1440p display as well.. i can go low setting till i get the new GPU. Thing is i've been told that 27" inch is too big for 1080P and that i would regret the purchase, there is also a 24" version of this exact monitor but, points i am considering: - i plan on mounting it to the wall so it would be a little farther away from me then usual. how much of an effect would the increased distance have? - the difference in price between the 24" model and the 27" is not that much (280$ VS 340$, local online prices, quite limited selection) Does anyone reading this have any input on the matter? is the resolution really that bad? or is it fine to use? sadly i can't see for myself as none of the local stores sell anything of the sort, so only online ordering within the country( import fees are heavy) other monitors i have been looking at: the LG 24GM79G-B - 25$ more then the AOC 24 inch (305$) - AOC AG272FCX 27 inch VA 1080p panel 144hz freesync (380$) - i don't care much for it being curved tough -AOC AG241QX 24 inch TN 1440p 144hz freesync (420$) any other 144hz 1440p monitor i found is well over 500$ so its a no go cause it exceeds my monthly credit max. so 24" at 1080p, 27" at 1080p or 24" at 1440p. If anyone has any experience with any of these or any useful info i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

Suggest good 1440p 27 inch IPS What I do ? I do a bit of pro Photoshop rendering, help friends with occasional video effects with Vegas Pro and after effects for her cat YouTube videos. Play crusader kings 2 , hearts of iron, battlefield, civilization vi and bioshock. Watch movies 1080p+ all day after work. Requirements 1. 1440p 2. IPS panel, I don't play Csgo 3. True 8 bit+ colour 4. 27 inch screen 5. Good standard RGB colour Budget Not more than 400$ . Roughly 30,000 India Rs. Even that's quite a lot for me. Why the sudden urge to buy one? Was using 24 inch Asus model for 7 years now. It meet with a sad accident. Graphics card in place? can upgrade. Currently using Asus ROG Nvidia Gtx 960ti. Please do help

Hi All, At the moment I have a 1080p 22" 60hz monitor and I am looking to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz monitor I have seen some at the 32" curved size for around £40 more then a 27" monitor. I sit around 2ft away from my monitor but as I would be vesa mounting if needed I could move the 32" further away if needed. So overall should I go with a 32" inch curved or save a few pennies and get a 27"

Hello everyone, I want to purchase a new monitor, but I'm not sure which one exactly. I would mainly use it to edit videos and photographs, and also for gaming. As I've said, I don't have my eye on any specific model, but I have some requirements that need to be met: 27 inches 1440p resolution 144Hz refresh rate (or better 165Hz) IPS panel Other features that are not necessary, but would be nice to have: G-Sync support HDR 10 bit If possible, it would be great to have HDR, 10 bit and 144Hz at the same time. One more thing, could 2070 Super achieve 144Hz in 1440p? I read that Aorus AD27QD can't do 10 bit and 144Hz at 1440p, so is that because of DP1.2 or something else?

I'm looking to buy a new 4K monitor that is 27 inches. My primary usage will be video consumption and some slight gaming. So naturally the focus is on color accuracy (HDR support) and how well the display looks instead of response time. That being said if it is possible to get a monitor that supports higher than 60hz I'd be really happy. I don't know a ton about monitors and which ones are the most color accurate. If anyone could recommend some that are between $400 - $600 price range that would be great. If this price range isn't realistic for what I want suggestions outside are cool too.

Hi everyone! I've been looking around for an 27" 1440p IPS high Hz for some time now, but I can't really make my mind up about which one to buy. For context, I want a display that has good color accuracy, hence the IPS. Because I edit photos and such. But also something that's really good for gaming. I've also seen the Nano IPS displays from LG, but are those worth the extra cost? Thankful for any answers!

I recently built my new computer and want to upgrade to a 144hz monitor. I currently have a 1080p 60hz Dell and was looking to get a 1440p as an upgrade. I would like it to be 27" but i am willing to go to 24" if it would improve output significantly. I will mainly be using it for gaming but I do also dabble in some graphic design(but would prioritize gaming performance over any color correctness). My budget is around $500 (I dont live in America so I dont know the exact amount when converted) . I know alot about computers but little to nothing about monitors and displays so any advice would be well appreciated. I also might dual monitor later on so I dont know if that affects the range of choice avaliable to me. Thanks

I’m Looking for the best 27 Inch gaming monitor I can get that’s cheap and yet can handle demanding games and provide visually appeasing content I’m after either 75Hz or 144Hz at either 1080p resolution or 2k don’t wang to have to deal with motion blurr problems and would prefer it to have both hdmi and display ports available, and I’m looking to get reliability for it’s cost (around $400 nzd as i’m looking to purchase a dual monitor setup) any reccomendations on monitors to buy would be highly appreciated (I’m not interested In paying premium for branding, I just want quality)
