If anyone owns 27inch 2K(2560x1440) monitor and 34inch ultrawide curved (3440x1440), I would be really thankful if you could tell me these things: 1) Is 34 one better for productivity use (programming mainly)? 2) When you compare both on 100%scaling, are the icons and text smaller on ultrawide or is it same as on 27 or maybe bigger? 3) How much is 27 one taller? 4) Which one do you like more? 5) What models of both do you have? Would be great if there is anyone who can compare me this, currently been having 27 2K for few years, and thinking of making a transition to ultrawide 34inch. Any photo comparison would be good to see also.

While looking at memes and talking with some friends on discord my displays went black for a few seconds and an centemeter of black appeared at the right left and top edges of my 2 monitors. Friends said it sounds like the drivers for the graphics card (Nvidia 1070) updated them no luck, restarted the computer nothing changed. went into the Nvidia control panel and tried all the scaling and size settings nothing works. couldnt find a fix on google so trying here. Does anyone have a fix for this?

I'm looking at purchasing a new monitor in the next couple of weeks and I'm having trouble choosing a 27" 2560x1440 144 Hz monitor and a 28" 3840x2160 60 Hz monitor that can also do 1080p 144 Hz. About 3 months ago I got an Acer GN246HL and I was pissed to discover that it would only do 144 Hz with a dual-link DVI input (my 480 has no DVI output). I was happy with the quality of the TN panel though. My budget tops out around $500. I plan on using an overclocked 8 GB RX 480 and I plan on purchasing at least an 8 GB Vega card this year. 2560x1440 is about 77% more pixels than 1080 and shouldn't be crazy hard to drive. Plus it can do 144 Hz. Pretty straightforward. This MG278Q looks great with the stand that can do height adjust and pivot, but it's expensive enough I'd have to wait for a deal. Is there a 28" 3840x2160 monitor that does 120+ Hz at lower resolutions? What would you suggest? Or is there a 2560x1080 widescreen monitor that also does 144 Hz? If only I had so much money I didn't have to choose. Edit: Looks like the only 2560x1080 ultrawides that do 144 Hz are 34" or 35" which the wife says is too big.

Hello, so I am willing to buy a new monitor, and I really like the 21:9 format, and I have been looking for this model in particular: LG 34UC79G-B (2560x1080) but I have an Nvidia 1080 gtx, and this monitor has Freesync Technology from AMD, it is worth it for me? Or should I buy this one, Acer Predator XB271HU? This one is a 2560x1440 monitor, but I read that the 1080 gtx it's not enough for this resolution at 144 hz, which is the other feature that I like from the first monitor and I know that my gpu can handle it in that resolution.

alright so ive been looking for a 2560x1440 144hz monitor but theyre so expensive. currently i have a 24" 1920x1080 monitor and with nvidia control panel i can set the custom resolution to 2560x1440 at 144hz but of course it doesnt look as good as a 27" 2560x1440 144hz monitor. so i was thinking, would i be able to get a 27" 1920x1080 144hz monitor and set the custom resolution to 2560x1440 at 144hz and have it be the same as an actual 2560x1440 144hz monitor? can someone with a 144hz 1920x1080 27" monitor and nvidia graphics card try this out for me if possible?

So I'm looking for a monitor. I'm looking for at 2560x1440 resolution screen at 144Hz (or 120Hz) with G-sync if possible but that's not essential at a 27" screen size. Best one I have seen so far is the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR at £584.98 on amazon (UK) and was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on alternatives. I don't mind compromising on g-sync or refresh rate so long as it's 1440p at higher than 60Hz at 27". Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi! I am looking for a monitor to give as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She is very interested in studying and pursuing a career in VFX/Animation. I did some research and I found that I should be looking at an IPS panel with 100% sRGB, 2560x1440 resolution or better. Also, would be nice to have it be pre-calibrated since I don't think we would be doing that ourselves anytime soon... The few features I would love to look for are also 10bit colour (8bit + FRC since a real 10 bit is probably too expensive) and a reasonable framerate/input lag since she does enjoy some gaming as well. In terms of price, I would prefer to stay in the $400-500CAD (up to $400USD) zone. However, as this is an investment into her future, I am open up to $800CAD ($650~USD) if the benefits are well worth it. Another issue is the size of the monitor. It seems like most models are 27inch+ but anything bigger than a 27inch will be way too big for her setup. Even a 27inch monitor is a stretch so, if there are any good models under that size, this would be even better. Please help with any advice! Should I reconsider any of my criteria for this use case? Here are a few of my options: BenQ PD2500Q - Seems like a designer/animation branded monitor but I could not find any reviews on it what so ever. BenQ PD2700Q - Older but bigger version of the one above. Also, has 8bit+FRC colour but seems like it might have a decent bit of input lag. Not sure if accurate. However, the reviews are pretty positive from the art side of things BenQ SW2700PT - Seems like one of the all-around favorites online. 99% AdobeRGB and 95% DCI P3 sound very solid. Only one of these that has 14-Bit 3D LUT. Also, definitely expensive. Would this price be justifiable? Dell UP2516D - Also a well-reviewed monitor. 100% Adobe RGB and 97% DCI P3 sound even a bit better than the BenQ... Also seems a bit cheaper for some reason... Asus MG279Q or PG279Q - Seem to be fairly solid colours and 144hz with Gsync or FreeSync. If perhaps it's not worth stressing over colours?

As in the title ^ It's just a founders 1080Ti. I'm not going all out with 3x 1440p monitors at once, I'm just going to get one at a time. And btw, I'm still using my faithful i7-4770k with a 950watt PSU. Still going strong.

Hello, I am looking for a monitor (any price, if it exists I'll buy it). A monitor like the ASUS AG241QX but with G-Sync. If you find any of these that would be appreciated: 2560x1440 120hz/144hz 1MS/2MS IPS/Simular As small as possible. Thanks! doxiMAN_MAN

I have a GTX 1080 & i7-7700k and I'm looking a good 1440p IPS budget monitor. These 2 are my top options(feel free to suggest any monitor around 300-400 USD). The viewsonic is 360USD while the BenQ is at 380USD in my country. I'm not into competitive gaming. I mostly play rpg like Witcher 3 and the like. I do a lot of photo editing and architectural renderings. Thanks!! Viewsonic- http://ap.viewsonic.com/bd/products/lcd/VX3209-2K.php BenQ- http://www.benq.com/product/monitor/GW2765HT/

Hello. I am building a new PC and have a GTX 1080 STRIX graphics card and need new monitors. I was set on purchasing the Dell S2417DG, but they are very expensive. If anyone can find similar or cheaper options that would be much appreciated. Also, I am planning on buying two. Thanks! Dell S2417DG: https://tinyurl.com/y789jbkl

Okay so lets start with my resolution, well my monitor is 2560x1440, it says that i'm currently on that resolution but i'm not, I can see an outline of where my computer screen ends. I made a picure showing it.http://prnt.sc/dqs4g1So the red shows where my screen ends, and it's clearly not 2560x1440,http://prntscr.com/dr5nwc it even shows on that website, that I am not using 2560x1440. My question is how do I fix it, and why does my nvidia say it is. http://prntscr.com/dr5ojq (Also this is not because I use two monitors, because i just put the second monitor yesterday, and the day before that I still had that issue)

Hi all, I am looking to purchase a 2560x1440 monitor to use for content creation with my new Dell Inspiron 7559 (Linus' review:) It has one HDMI 1.4a display output, and I want to confirm that I can run the monitor full res at 60 Hz over HDMI. Could anyone confirm that this setup would work, or point me in the right direction? I'm looking at these two monitors: Asus PB278Q (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PB278Q-2560x1440-DisplayPort-Monitor/dp/B009C3M7H0/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1482696513&sr=1-1&keywords=pb278q&th=1) and Acer B276HUL (https://www.amazon.com/Acer-B276HUL-Aymiidprz-Widescreen-ErgoStand/dp/B00H4VACME/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482696828&sr=8-1&keywords=Acer%2BB276HUL&th=1), any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I used to have LG 34uc79 Monitor 2560x1080, which is massive Curved monitor with zero issues, no headaches and no eye strain. Couple of days ago i got asus vg27aq 2560X1440 27' monitor and immediately noticed eye strain, dizziness or feels like my eyes are very tired. Distance from eyes is the same for both monitors which as around 80cm. I disabled ELMB, lowered the contrast but still hurts? what changed? my old monitor is way bigger and had zero issues?!

Hey dear LTT Comunity. So it´s been quite a while since i started to look for a new Monitor. I´ve got two 24" 1080p Monitors and my new main monitor should be bigger and sharper. Since i buy a monitor once and have it for quite a long time i want it to be 27", QHD..2560x1440, more than 60hz and..i just feel like i realy just want it.. curved. I´m not playing competetive shooters so i dont need 1ms reaction time, but i want nice colors and contrast. Why is it so hard for me to find such a monitor? I´m obviously not going for a 27" 1080p monitor. I don´t want 4k. i don´t want a Panel with super fast response times but lousy colours. Do you maybe know some models wich fullfill my specs? Thanks in advance and greetings from a new member from vienna :)

So i got my weekly massdrop email and this ridiculous monitor was front and center. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/principle-matters-32-curved-165hz-qhd-1440p-gaming-monitor#specs As mentioned. 2560x1440. 144hz up to 165, 32 inches of curved glory. All for 330$usd (429cad) All of the reviews seem amazing minus some colour complaints. Thoughts? Seems like the best budget monitor ever!

looking for a 32inch, 144hz, 2560x1440 monitor and the prices range dramatically, i am looking for the best deal, i have a budget of about £375-£400 ($470ish) any recommendations of a reliable trust worthy brand/model?

So I got my brand new AOC Q271PQ trying to pait it with my EVGA GTX 570HD (running Win7). For some reason if I connect it using the HDMI cable, Windows will report the maximum display resolution is 1920x1080. Even if I go to nvidia control panel and create a custom 2560x1440 will make the screen very blurry... (the display reports input resolution still at 1080p when using that custom resolution). The same issue appears with my 2012-era Win10 laptop with GTX 650M, I tried the HDMI cable from AMazon (Highspeed with ethernet) and the one in box So I guess the HDMI ports doesn't support 2k and I should get a DP cable then? (FYI the display should support 2k according to the box and when I select 1:1 mode, there was massive black bars around the content. Plus the display picture became sharper in that mode)

What monitor is better for the price. By better i mean by colour since everything else has the same specs (1440p,144hz) I dont mind the change in size, just what monitor has better color, and i could not care less about anything else. Dankeschon for helping out

I have been looking around for a suitable monitor for the upcoming cyber Monday. I'm trying to get a monitor for a gtx 1070/r5 2600 setup, and found this on cclonline.com. It seems too good to be true; a 1440p, 144hz IPS monitor at sub-300 pounds/dollar/euro range! First thing I did, as any person should, was check forums if anyone has already mentioned any reliability issue, but as far as I can tell, they're a good brand, and definitely not scammers. Still unsure, and definitely not willing to waste over 200 euros on a scam, I turn to you guys, as a final check. Anyone here bought from them before? Are they reliable? If you bought this monitor model, did you get what you asked for?
