My friend is looking for a massive PC build for max $2500 maybe a little more. He has no idea what to do and doesn't trust my advice . He would be using it primarily for gaming ( like arma) and possibly some editing. Thanks

I'm looking at possibly purchasing an old pre-built system (don't judge me too hard), but I'm trying to figure out what CPU upgrade options there may be. Here is the product specs page from HP: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03141285 I'm thinking maybe a i5 2500 or i7 2600 might work in this, but I read some stuff about h61 and h61 express chipsets, and I don't think they're cross compatible. I'm am out of the loop on these older chipsets and boards, so any help would be appreciated. What I'd like to do with a system like this is upgrade to at least a quad core processor, bump up to 8 gb ram, add a cheap ssd, and maybe throw in a cheap video card, like a GTX 750ti or 1050(no additional pci-e power), even though it's pci-e 2 on this older chipset. Are there any issues I may face or considerations I may need to make if I were to go about doing this? Ultimately, I'd like to give it to my nephew to do some light gaming on if I can get these upgrades. Any help would be much appreciated.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mmHwWZ budget: $2500 (includes monitors, tower, peripherals, and etc. basically everything) ((however i am trying to keep it lower, recently brought it down to the $2200~ range, tower by itself is just above $2000) usage: gaming, rendering, 3d modeling/game design, and casual use setup type: dual screen, 1080p 60hz (atleast) notes: motherboard Asrock x99 Extreme4 OR MSI x99A Sli plus ? http://motherboards.specout.com/compare/4075-6034/Asrock-X99-Extreme4-vs-MSI-X99A-SLI-PLUS (the x99A+ also has usb 3.1 built in, it is not listed on specout however) GPU thinking its overkill for a dual 1080p render/gaming setup. however this gives me room for easy upgrade-ability if i choose to get better monitors at some point monitor Acer H236HLbid OR Asus ve248Q ? Asus is much more pricy (about $50 more per monitor) but has built in speakers and display ports SSD i will be going with the 850 pro if the price drops further thoughts?

Hey a quick question.. do you think it's worth upgrading i3 3240 to i5 2500 for 30$ ? i mean i paid 75$ for a used i3 but as i checked google, i5 2500 is not a whole lot faster but there are more cores.. and i can get the i5 2400 for 20$.. and please tell me how to check which cpu is better.. since i am using CPUboss and someone said that that info is garbage... here are the links i got.. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-2500-vs-Intel-Core-i3-3240 http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i5-2400-vs-Intel-Core-i3-3240 Thanks!

I'm looking for a site that will allow me to build a great work computer with very fast render times and good frames for gaming supporting a triple-monitor setup for around $2000, with an overflow of $500 and no more. I'll list some of the things that I want included and some things that I want included but are not really a need if they go out of budget, and if anyone could appoint me to a sit where I could build one too that would be nice. I'm also not too educated with all of these computer hardware choices so please forgive me and correct me if I have something wrong or if anything would be incompatible. Want: 16gb ram 2x Gtx 970 i7 core (really not too educated with processors) Don't care what motherboard case with glass customizable internal lighting liquid cooled CPU unit 1TB HDD Wireless network card Windows 8.1 White cable sleeving Want but not a necessity Liquid cooling to GPU white liquid cooling tubes Overall color scheme: White/black outer, white/black inner

So guys I've just bought an i7 2600 + 4GB of memory on the cheap to upgrade my aging core 2 duo system. It's currently running on an H61 M-ATX board which I intend to use later for a prodigy build. The H61 board doesn't allow any sort of overclocking, no partially unlocked multiplier is present and the base clock is completely locked. So I'm looking at getting an M-ATX board, an M-ITX MSI or Asus z77 to be able to up the frequency by 4 bins, overclock the BCLK slightly & then enable MSI's Enhanced Turbo or Asus's Multicore Enhancement which would hopefully allow me to take the 2600 to 4.2Ghz+ on all cores. My question basically is do these turbo features even support Sandy Bridge LGA 1155 chips ? or do they require Ivy Bridge ? I know for a fact that these exact same features are enabled on X79 and work on Sandy-E.

I Need to Find a Creative Laptop BUDGET: $2500 or more if absolutely necessary. Now to the details, I have just got involved in a couple of businesses that require me to use creative tools. I have entered the dance lighting business and need a laptop to handle the DMX controller for the lights, along with being able to hand programs for djing as we are planning to expand to lights and music. Also, I am starting to create a few websites, one of which for the lighting business, another for sales. I need a laptop with amazing color and pixel density to make professional looking websites. Finally, I am entering the game design industry and need a laptop that can effectively use all of the necessary programs (Unity Engine, Adobe Suite) So far I have come to the conclusion of a maxed out Macbook Pro 15, with the student discount the total would be $2547 before taxes. Before making my final decision, I would like to hear good alternatives to my decision. Also, If i am getting the macbook pro, lower models are not an option as they do not have the Nvidia GPU. Thanks in advance.

Hello again, sorry for my phase of inactivity. My uncle, a gamer himself, very kindly offered to buy me a new PC. In return, he'd get my old one. My/his budget is £2,500. This rig will be used for 1080p gaming, editing 720p video in Vegas Pro 12, Photoshop work and recording. I run two Dell U2312HM's, if this helps. I'm aiming for something quiet, not too flashy, and powerful. Aiming to overclock (for the first time) to 4Ghz at least. I'd like to try watercooling for the first time, as well. Please try and avoid LED's. Blue and Black theme would be amazing, and some white thrown in would be liked too. Here's what I've got laid out so far. I am looking at building a $2500 editing rig to editing 1080p and 4k video. I may also do some light gaming. (light as in the amount of time) This is what I have so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/k7Pv4C You can try to configure you own build for me if you would like, but make sure to have an os, monitor, wifi card, mouse, and keyboard.

Ok I need help I'm planning on building a PC but I don't know what to get for it I know the basics but what to get is my problems. So here on this board, I ask for your help first you have a budget of $2500 for the tower. I'm going to run 3 (Dell UltraSharp U3415W PXF79 34-Inch Curved LED-Lit Monitor-https://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-PXF79-34-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00PXYRMPE/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1497031849&sr=1-6&keywords=widescreen+monitor)so if that's something you need then there you go then if you want to also describe why you choose the parts you did that would be great. I'm planning on using this PC for gaming, video making, and game development.

Hello everybody, I'm going to buy a new High end Gaming pc that wil come a long way in the coming years. I would like to ask somethings about my build now and want to know what i could do different and why. I have a budget of around 3000 dollars (I'm from holland so i'm buying in euro's). I wanna use it for high end gaming and i play every kind of game out there. My Computer that i'm replacing worked 8 years and with changing cards once it put me in high end gaming for 6 of those years so i want something that will last that long again. (at least try) Also, i am not at all sure about the monitor. The one in the build (Asus Swift) is one i keep an eye on but i'm also thinking of going 4k. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/6qMpNG I figured going with 2 geforce 970 would be better then one 980. But if that is true then what kind of 970 is the best. Now i just put in a random card cause i had no idea. DDR 3 or 4? I figured thinking of the future DDR 4 would be better. Better full tower cases? with better i mean 'more beautifull' case. since it will be a prominent thing next to my desk. And again i have no idea what i should do monitor wise. I would love to have 4K but i dont want to have all kinds of issues. I would also like to do 3d gaming watching movies and such and so i was drawn to the G- Sync monitors. I am not the best in this sort of thing so i hope i wrote down all you guys need to know to answer some of my questions Thank you so much!
