Hey guys building a new pc and need help connecting the psu to the mobo. I know I need to connect the 24pin to the mobo but it's got an extra 6 pin ('sense' text on the cable). Do I just tuck this away/cable manage and get 8 pin and connect that to my mobo or do I just plug it anyways. Thanks

12GB RAM sticks are coming - FINALLY!!! With the new upcoming 12GB RAM sticks, the ideal 24GB of RAM will finally be possible without some jank setup that causes dual-channel operation to not work properly. 2 x 24 = 48GB of RAM is also a great number for most who do some creative or professional work on the side without moving into ThreadRipper style systems. The only bad news is: It seems to have come a bit too late. Most gamers are now building new, current-gen systems with 32GB of RAM because RAM is now cheap as hell and 16GB is starting to get overwhelmed in some cases. As of Intel 13th Gen/ Ryzen 7000 - a 2 x 16GB RAM kit is now the standard option for the vast majority of gamers. 24GB (12GB x 2) kits would have been perfect like 5-6 years ago during the days when AMD Ryzen was brand new (1000-2000 series). Now, you might as well just get a 32GB kit like everyone else. Its still cool that it has finally happened, Im just disappointed in the timing. Now I see no real reason to buy one. I guess if you are on an extremely tight budget but once the pricing on these kits settles down; the difference between a 24GB and 32GB kit will be like literally $20 at most. -

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor but i can't find an article with a solid suggestion. what would be a ideal size for 1080p. i'll be upgrading from a 21.5 tft monitor 60Hz. i like a 27 inch viotek but i'm hesitant on the purchase because it's a one time investment i desire to want to make, any suggestions would greatly help my stressed out mind. i appreciate it. budget is between $200-$300

Hi. Im looking for a 144hz monitor with 24". I wanted to buy 3 of these to make a triple monitor setup (1 monitor 144hz and 2 60hz). I really need the monitor to have a low bezel so i though on buying the asus mg248q and 2 VG245H. What Do you think? I have a gtx 1070. Thanks!

1. 24inch tn vs 27inch ips 2. i usually play csgo and i think 27 inch is better for aiming small heads. 3. if money is not issue should i go for 27 inch 100% 4. both will be 144hz or higher but tn will gsync

So is it possible? I want a display that is 24", 144hz, has g-sync, has an IPS panel and a low delay. Be sure to link if you know a monitor that fit this criteria, the reason I want 24" is because I think 27" is too big, and my 1080p 24" would look the same as 1440p pretty much.

Hello fellow members. I am going to buy an additional monitor to go along with my Lg ultrawide. I will use this new monitor almost exclusively for gaming and my choice ended with these two monitors : Acer XB271HU Acer XB241YU They are basically the same 1440p, 144(165)Hz, gsync and tn, except for the size and price : 24" @500€ and 27" @650€. My question is : is the 27 inches worth the 150€ added cost, and is 24" that different, given that it will be at the same resolution? I am playing on my 34 inches ultrawide for now (27inches for games that don't support 21/9) atm

Hello guys, im currently buying a new monitor and since i dont have much money, im going for the used route. I found a nice monitor for an okay price here: LCD samsung monitor 24 SyncMaster B2430 i know led has smaller power consumption, but since im not paying electricity bills that isnt really my concern haha. i have just these two questions: -does lcd put bigger eye strain on your eyes than a led backlit screen would? -is there a noticeable difference in image display quality?

Hi, just got me a new 4k monitor for some light gameing and photoshooting/editing, and i can't seem to get the damn freesync to work, i googled the problem and i doens't seem to find any help or guide that works. for instance when i'm playing Diablo 3, i'm getting about 100 fps, with freesync on(the are 2 modes in my screen 1. Standard mode, and Ultimate mode) and the picture is terring like crazy. A'm i takeing this the wrong way? My setup CPU: I7 4790K MB: MSI Z97I RAM: Corsair 1600 MHz C9 GPU: R9 290 HDD/SSD: 2x2 TB WD-G & Samsung 840 256 GB PSU: Silverstone SX600 Kabinet: Silverstone ML07

Hi, Im looking for a monitor with freesync (220$ budget). I'm interested in IPS screen since I often watch movies from the bed and at the moment it is terrible with my TN monitor, also better colours with IPS. Is it better to take PLS over VA? or there isn't a big difference? To be honest I really like the curved one or maybe I can find something better in this price range?

Im just wondering if this is how a 24 pin should look like.. The pin on the top row 4th from the left looks kinda weird I think. Also, has anyone here used the Mission GGP 1.0 PSU? I didnt think the power supply was so important before I bought this cheap one. (not very cheap, but I cant find any reviews for it). Is it ok?

Hello guys, I'm looking for two new monitor cause my second monitor died and I want to pick a new setup. I searched for days and I'm going nuts. I'm searching for two monitor that are good with everything, like gaming, video and photo editing. I'm looking for two similar model, maybe one with 120/144hz for gaming, and the other one for the rest. I know that TN panel are better for gaming, but not display very well all the colors. IPS on the other hand does not have high refresh rate. There's something in the market? Just 1080p monitor, maybe the gaming one a 2k max. Both 24", I don't have much space. I have an Asus Strix GTX 1070, so it shouldn't be a problem. So: Two monitor 1080p/2k Gaming one 120/144hz, the other 60hz 24" Max 500/600€ Thank you guys! Sorry for bad english, I'm from Italy.

Hello, I hope everyone is having a great day. I would like to ask for a little help. i've been looking for a primarily gaming monitor, specifically at the AOC G2770PF 27 inch 1080p 144hz monitor. (which also happens to be on sale) Now, by reviews and comparisons of its tested performance its an excellent bang for the buck. i will mostly use it for gaming, some graphic and image editing work too (but nothing that really requires accurate color representation) and the occasional movie. my current monitor is a 10 year old TN LCD 1680X1050 panel that basically at the point where a toaster would be an upgrade. I play a a wide selection of games, and also play competitive fps titles, currently mostly playing overwatch, Freesync is fine as i plan to upgrade my current R9 380X (yes it can run 144hz, it has a very heavy OC) to an RX vega when that is out (probably the middle, GTX 1080 equivalent or 1080ti) so i might be ok for a 1440p display as well.. i can go low setting till i get the new GPU. Thing is i've been told that 27" inch is too big for 1080P and that i would regret the purchase, there is also a 24" version of this exact monitor but, points i am considering: - i plan on mounting it to the wall so it would be a little farther away from me then usual. how much of an effect would the increased distance have? - the difference in price between the 24" model and the 27" is not that much (280$ VS 340$, local online prices, quite limited selection) Does anyone reading this have any input on the matter? is the resolution really that bad? or is it fine to use? sadly i can't see for myself as none of the local stores sell anything of the sort, so only online ordering within the country( import fees are heavy) other monitors i have been looking at: the LG 24GM79G-B - 25$ more then the AOC 24 inch (305$) - AOC AG272FCX 27 inch VA 1080p panel 144hz freesync (380$) - i don't care much for it being curved tough -AOC AG241QX 24 inch TN 1440p 144hz freesync (420$) any other 144hz 1440p monitor i found is well over 500$ so its a no go cause it exceeds my monthly credit max. so 24" at 1080p, 27" at 1080p or 24" at 1440p. If anyone has any experience with any of these or any useful info i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

Hi all, I'm currently using a dual monitor setup with an HP 2010i (20', 1600x900) and a Packard Bell monitor (19' 1440x900). I have recently purchased a new computer and feel like it's time to upgrade the PB monitor. I want to continue running a dual monitor setup and the 2010i will suffice as a secondary monitor for the time being. I am thus looking to replace my PB monitor with a brand new one to match my new system but I feel like I'm out of my depth. I would appreciate any input and suggestions! I have the following requirements and preferences: 24" display size (23" would be okay, but I'd prefer not going bigger than 24" since I'm set on maintaining a dual monitor setup) 1080p resolution (I feel is the best match for my system, I'm not considering any other resolutions except maybe 1920x1200); 60 Hz (My setup won't allow for a much higher FPS output anyway and my current displays are 60 Hz and do not bother me); IPS (This is a preference. I'm given to understand these displays generally look best, but I'm open to other types of panels); Reasonable response time (No need for the best of the best here, but it needs to be playable); No glossy display (Yes, they look great, but I just can't stand glare); VESA Mount (Size does not matter, since I have no purchased yet but I want to mount the displays in the future). Thin bezels (This is technically a preference, but I do LOVE the look of thin bezel monitors, especially in a multi monitor setup sooo...) Budget: I'd say no more than 200 Euro (I'm in the Netherlands). I'm running an Nvida GPU so I have no use for Freesync. Would the Iiyama Prolite XUB2490HS-B1 be any good? I'm open to any and all input and suggestions. Thanks!

Hi, i'm looking forward to buy a new monitor to replace my old HP 1600x900 and want something not only with higher resolution but also bigger (i like them big OwO) but stumbled upon a video made by a guy who claims that the bigger the monitor, the lower the image quality you get which makes total sense since it's in fact the same amount of pixels in a wider area but here comes the question: How bad is image quality of 1080p in 27 and 32 monitors? (which are my main target right now) and also any recommendations and opinions are more than welcome. The monitor i plan to buy: Dell P2717H
