Hello Recently starting want to change my monitor into 21:9 curved monitor. Mainly using is for sim-racing, mostly driving iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione. My budget is below 500 USD, so I would like to know if there is any recommendation and what I have to be careful at while choosing the monitor. Thank you in advance and have a nice day.

Hi, Recently new monitor is available in my local store, its new brand, never heard of except for the phones they produce but it has really good specs for the price Samsung VA Panel 3440x1440 ultrawide 21:9 Curved 121% sRGB 144hz Freesync Premium its priced at around 480USD which is cheap compared to other premium brands like LG which are priced at 800+ $ in my country. I didnt find many pro reviews except hardware unboxed, its behind the competition when it comes to G2G and other specs. But I want personal opinion, is it worth it for casual gamer with mixed online and offline games?

Looking for a monitor with the mentioned specs, basically only for gaming, but good colors ofc make a good gaming experience. Accuracy isn't really needed, I have a calibration tool.

Hi, 3840x1600 - 38" 3440x1440 - 34" Do you guys have any experience with monitors of these resolutions? Which would you recommend for me if I have purely gaming intentions? I wonder if the 38" monitor isn't way too big. I am planning to pair either RTX 3080 or 3080 Ti with the monitor. Thanks for any suggestions.

Recently bought a Pixio PX347c Prime monitor for working from home productivity and gaming. Looking to upgrade my RX 580 8gb GPU once inventory starts to become more readily available. What card would be a reasonable upgrade? I've been looking between an RTX 3070 or an RX 6800, since their respective MSRPs are in the range i'd feel comfortable spending, but are there older cards that would be comparable? Maybe Titan cards from previous generations?

I need help deciding between the 21:9 G34WQC and the 16:9 odyssey g7. With the ultrawide, I'm afraid of smearing (both are VA's but the g7 has godlike overdrive) with the g7 I'm afraid of missing the glory of ultrawide. Pushing the pixels won't be an issue as I have a computer with an RTX 3080. I play competitive shooters Like csgo, apex, and valorant but also games like tomb raider, cyberpunk 2077, and witcher 3. I know all the specs and such. My problem is that I have only ever had IPS or TN 16:9 monitors and one IPS 21:9 monitor so I don't know what smearing feels like or how severe it is on the G34WQC and similar monitors. Please give me advice.

Hi, I need some advice from someone with personal experience when it comes to this. So I have had high refresh rate TN and IPS panels and I know all the differences on paper between ips,va and tn but my question here is how experience breaking dark level smearing is. I was thinking of buying one of these monitors: AOC 34 CU34G2X, Gigabyte 34 G34WQC or Xiaomi Mi Curved 34 But I don't have hands-on experience with the amount of dark level smearing that these kinds of panels have (I know that some VA’s like Samsung g7 and g9 have special overdrive that almost eliminates dark level smearing) So I would appreciate some advice from people who own these displays to tell me if they are worth getting. I'm located in the Swedish market so keep in mind that not all 34 inch 21:9 displays on the market are available for me. Thanks in advance.

I'm used ro 16:9 aspect ratio, so 21:9 sounds really weird for me Do most games support that aspect ratio? What about most videos / movies / etc?

My monitor is LG 25UM58-P and on LG website it says it is 75hz. When I have the resolution set to 2560x1080 at 60hz everything is alright, but when I change it to 75hz it squashes the image. I know there's already a post about this issue on ltt forum, but it wasn't very helpful for me.

So a bit of background before i get into it, i'm currently using an LG 25UM58-P and its response time is a little high, its a smaller monitor than i'd like (Sound stupid talking about an ultrawide but still). It's 2560x1080 and its 60Hz. I would like one at a higher refresh rate, lower response time and ideally a greater resoulution. The limitation being i'm on a GTX 970 which has Displayport 1.2, as far as i know i needs 1.3 for 144hz over 3440x1440? So of the ultrawides i've found that i like i have come up with 2 options (Happy with spending the money on the more expensive one if i settle on either not an issue just specs). Option #1 the Asus ROG Swift PG348Q - (Leaning towards this one) Link: https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/ROG-SWIFT-PG348Q/ 3440x1440 at 100hz Pros 3440 x 1440 is the ideal resoultion Over Displayport 1.2 so i won't need a new GPU at this exact moment though i will get one eventually. Looks good (Not needed but its nice for the cost of it) G-sync though it will likely be turned off until i get a new GPU. Built in speakers. USB Hub Cons More expensive than the Acer (This is £1098) at a quicker google. Only 100hz vs 144hz, this is still more than my current 60hz but this is my limitation on Display Port 1.2 at that resolution it seems. Option #2 the Acer Predator Z35 Link: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/predator-z35-series 2560x1080 at 144hz Pros 144hz Also Display port 1.2 so no new GPU for now but i plan to. G-sync though it will likely be turned off until i get a new GPU. Built in speakers. Cheaper at about £800 Cons 2560x1080 is managable though i would prefer the higher resoluton. Prefer the look of the ASUS No USB hub So what do you think is best? Do i got for the Asus for the resolution, the Acer for the refresh rate? Or neither and upgrade my GPU first?

Hi, I'm looking for some help buying a new monitor. For a few days now i have been browsing the internet looking for a monitor but i cant seem to find anything that fits my needs within my price range. I have a buget of £280 (344 US dollars) and it needs to be 1440p, 144Hz refresh rate and have a DisplayPort input. I would also like it to have a ultra wide 29:1 aspect ratio but i have a fealing i might have to settle with somthing other than that because of the price. However i am willing to go a little bit over budget to get the specs i want. If anyone knows a monitor that fits thease specs please let me know.

Im current on an LG 25UM58-P or a similar model to it and im looking to upgrade for a few reasons. First off i'm looking for an ultrawide that upports 144Hz, secondly 3440 x 1440 instead of 2560 x 1080 would be nice. Im on a gtx 970 but i don't care about G-Sync too much since that would bump up the price. It looks to be the best of both worlds for a somewhat decent price given that similar models look to be £200+ more expensive. So has anyone had any experience with the LG 34UC79G? Thanks.

Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions here. I have a 21:9 3440x1440 LG Ultrawide, and when I record 1080p video and live stream, I use XSplit to capture the upper left corner in a perfect 1920x1080 area where I manually dock my applications in there that I want visible during recording. As shown in the attached image. The real estate outside that region is my personal space whilst streaming, it's really nice to have that. Due to the heavy nature of what I do, some application operations pull the CPU so tightly (4790K @ 4.6) that it leaves Xsplit gasping for air, and I drop thousands of frames at a time whilst live streaming. So I bought a Elgato HD60 Pro capture card, stuck it into a secondary PC, hooked up the HDMI, mirrored the main monitor with the HDMI output and boosh I've got an unsupported 3440x1440 signal going into my capture PC. My plan was to then use Xsplit on the capture PC to crop the 3440x1440 signal to the 1080p region, and broadcast that, but I guess due to the shift in resolution on a received signal, the image degrades to the point that it's totally unusable. So I'm just wondering, does anyone have any advice (if its even possible) to successfully use a 21:9 panel with a secondary capture PC without resorting to nerfing my 3440x1440 panel to 1920x1080? I cannot find a single thread anywhere discussing this issue, which is surprising given the increase in popularity of 21:9! Thanks in advance.

After some digging around on the internet, all I could find in terms of TB monitors that suited my needs was the LG 34UM95 - this is however a TB2 monitor, so I won't be able to daisy-chain them. I'm ideally after an ultrawide 1440p TB3 monitor, no bigger than 34". A simple enough wish, but bloody hell are they good at hide and seek. If anyone knows of a company that sells any, or is developing one for release within the next year or two, then please tell me. Thanks for any help

I did a lot of Research and these are the 6 monitors i need to choose from: 3440 x 1440 @ 100hz NO G-SYNC ASUS MX34VQ Samsung C34F791 3840 X 2160 @ 60hz G-SYNC Acer Predator XB271HKbmiprz ASUS PG27AQ 2560 X 1440 G-SYNC @ 165hz Acer Predator XB271HUbmiprz Asus ROG Swift PG279Q AOC AGON AG271QG i have a 4k ips 27 inch screen which i really like but some games fail to make 60 fps on that resolution so i really miss g-sync. i have a single gtx 1080, what do you think, if for example 1 game reaches 60 fps on 4k, would it make 100 fps on 3440x1440? i would't use it as 2nd monitor, i live in 2 places and i move weekly, i manage to move my pc in a case but i can't move the monitor. Also, which do you think would look better? the VA or the IPS panel? Thanks for the answers.

I have a rather tight budget for getting a new monitor and I have an option of getting: an lg 25UM56P or any equivalent 25" 2560x1080 21:9 IPS display an asus mx259h 25" IPS display a dell e2416h 24" TN panel (1080p) and a 20" dell e2016h TN panel (1600x900) for much lower than the previously mentioned options I usually find myself wishing i could run two programs side-by-side but I heard the difference between IPS and TN panels is extreme. I'm also worried that by getting the two monitor bundle i would be putting myself at a disadvantage due to the lower resolution of the second monitor (the 20" one). Also, i heard a 25" widescreen is too narrow to be effective for any multitasking. I game on my pc and use it for work so I need the monitor(s) to help at both. Should i get the widescreen monitor now or get the asus 25" IPS monitor and save up to get another one later on or should I just get the monitor combo and save some money? (PS: i have an overclocked gtx 1060 so I can run games at the 2560x1080 resolution of the widescreen and all my games are widescreen supported).

so im looking to get 2 16:9 monitors to match my 21:9 29" monitor, and ive heard its 23-24", but what if its slightly bigger, or smaller? is there a way to align them in Eyefinity?

Playing terraria in 21:9 does not work, the only mod i could find was RomTerraria and that fixes the resolution but lock my "Colour" mode at retro witch is horrible in terraria. I want to get 16:9 1920x1080 with black bars on the sides much like overwatch allows you to do. How do i fix this as there is no way to do anything from the in game menu. Thanks in advance

Hi all, Recently I bought a new ultrawide monitor from LG (LG 29um68p to be precise) and I'm very happy with it. Even though I haven't been able to use it that often, since the adapter for my Macbook 12" had not been delivered yet UNTIL TODAY. I was very excited when I got it in the mail today, directly opened it and plugged it into my laptop and monitor, only to find out and be disappointed that the screen was acting up (Sort of flickering and/or screen tearing. Watch the video). I first thought it was the monitor, because I bought it second-hand. But after trying several laptops with multipe HDMI cables I came to the conclusion that the problem was limited to my laptop and adapter (I bought a cheap USB-C to HDMI and USB adapter, link below the post). Since I figured that it would most likely be the cheap hub from China. I contacted the seller but they haven't replied yet. I really would like to test different USB-C devices with the adapter to be 100% sure that it's the adapter, but I don't have any. Does anyone have an idea if it might be some settings that are set wrong or anything like that? And also if it's actually broken or that USB-C hubs usually have this problem? Thanks in advance! Hi Linus, I am new member on this forum and can't find a suggestion on your channel youtube. I just bought a new ultra wide monitor 34 inch with screen resolution 3440x1440. I really like your channel and watching with full screen but I hate black bars. Could you upgrade your newest videos before upload to youbute. Youtube does work 21:9 ratios. Thank you very much. Hey Guys! I wan't to upgrade my setup and get a fitting 21:9 monitor beside my 2 24 inch monitors. Resolution is not really important but I'd really like to see something under 500 bucks. Since I found nothing on amazon and other retailers (newegg etcetera). Maybe you guys can help me out? The monitor should be good for productivity such as editing videos and play games like GTAV or something like that ^^
