I am pretty techy, but I might your help with this. My friend has a Gigabyte Aero Z790 with a Intel Core i7 13700K and a Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 Super, and it will not post or boot. It is a black screen, no signal. It used to work fine and then it stopped working a bit after he swapped memory modules, both old and new modules are the same just old is black and new is white so what I am thinking is the new memory modules are faulty. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7 13700K GPU: Asus ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070 Super Motherboard: Gigabyte Aero Z790 RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz (CMH32GX5M2D6000C36W)

I like to check stats on this page: Core i3-10105F and GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER | Dishonored 2 FPS Calculation | PC Builds (pc-builds.com) Would you say its decent or not to be trusted at all ? I am a new builder and have 1 L1200 platform w i3-10505F and is going to replace the current card I have, GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB. Would the Asus Turbo EVO GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB be good enough for around $200 (or 2000 SEK) ? Thanks

Hello all - thank you for reading through my issue and helping me solve this longstanding issue. About a year ago, I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 3600 to a Ryzen 5950X. When I upgraded, I brought all of the pre-existing hardware with me (Nvidia 2070 Super; 32GB of 3600 RAM; 1TB NVMe SSD; extra HDDs; case; etc.), spare the PSU, which I upgraded from a 550W unit to a 1200W unit, both from be quiet!, and my motherboard, which I went from a B450 Tomahawk from MSI to a Gigabyte B550X DS3H. I upgraded for work, where I can effectively utilize the additional cores the 5950X offers. After upgrading, I ran into a very weird issue almost immediately. Under large workloads (not synthetic workloads, to be clear. I've tried many times to recreate this issue with synthetic workloads to make this post many months ago and finally solve this issue) my graphics card would stop outputting video, spin its fans at 100%, and the entire system would become unresponsive. Only switching the PSU off, waiting ~30 seconds, and switching it back on would resolve the problem. Besides the obvious concern, this was highly annoying, as it occurred during a model I was running for work, and needed to restart. I thought it was a weird quirk from the new MOBO or CPU, so I upgraded the BIOS and went on. The issue didn't appear again until a few months later. I was more concerned at this point, thinking that this was a one time issue I had already solved. I thought there might be a bad connection between my MOBO and GPU, so I re-set it, and the problem didn't occur again for a little while. But, a few weeks went by this time, and the problem re-occurred. This time, while gaming. Getting more concerned, I did a complete re-install of Windows. Just to be sure, I DDU'd my system, and continued on. At some point, the problem kept happening over and over again. I wasn't doing anything particularly intense at the time, so it made me think that maybe something was dying on the MOBO or I had a bad unit to start. So, I completely switched out the motherboard back to the the B450 Tomahawk. For a while, the problem subsided. I went probably two months without it happening. But then, while running something for work, it happened again. The B450 Tomahawk, unlike the Gigabyte board, has a little indicator light on it for what went wrong. To my shock, it was the CPU light that was lit, indicating to me there is a CPU issue somewhere (no duh). The problem is, I have no idea what it could be. As I mentioned earlier, it's difficult for me to predict when this problem is going to happen, so I run HWinfo logging whenever I run my model for work, just in case I can finally catch this thing. Today, I finally did. It happened to me twice today, both while I was running the model and watching YouTube at the same time. The system crashed when the model I run for work was executing its most CPU intensive task. After which I hard reset the computer via the PSU. I've attached the log here, in hopes someone can decipher this thing for me. At this point, I have no idea what the solution could be. Perhaps tightening the mount on my CPU? But I've turned those screws all the way, it should be a good mount. Perhaps it's a bad CPU? If that's the case, I'd be sad, but also confused as to why it works fine 99% of the time. I've seen others on various forums have this issue before. Some solutions are offered, but they never respond if it worked or the solutions aren't applicable to that user. It would be really appreciated if someone could help me with this, I feel like I'm going a little crazy with this one, hope someone can help me finally move past this. Thanks so much for reading my novel! HWInfo Log.CSV

There is an old topic on this, and its basically just one guy telling the OP that he is stupid, but it is possible - without any explanation on the later. So I have high hopes for this post -_- I have an older version of Vegas Pro that I use and it does not support the 20xx series. I don't have the $ to buy the newest version of Vegas pro and already have a lot of my workflow nailed down. That being said, I would like to know how I can get both the old boi Quadro 4000 (the 2010ish version) running with the 2070 Super. When I slapped him in, windows defaulted to it and is giving me the good ol "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) The I/O device is configured incorrectly or the configuration parameters to the driver are incorrect." for the 2070 super. I reach out to you all to know if there is another special driver I should be running? Something that wont have them conflict. Windows 10 is the OS. Not really sure if other info about the board is important in this case. I installed the Quadro 4000 "driver" from nvidia (353.62) and neither are working correctly according to device manager - not surprised that the 2070s isnt working with that driver, but the Q4000 has me confused. Any advice would be welcomed.

So I got the 2070 super KO around the time of its launch, and it has served me very well, but I'm now looking into getting into water-cooling and in the process I realized that the KO card is not a reference board, because its kost optimized its got a massive bank of capacitors and a few other differences, I was wondering if anyone had a water block that would work for it because I cant seem to find one. I just want to know if I should wait to water cool my system till I upgrade to a not scuffed better card.

Hi guys, I watched some benchmark videos on New World. For example in this videos the uploader getting 150fps on open world while im getting 100. Could it be the PSU? I bought this PSU because I had no other choice. The market is back to normal maybe I can replace it. Dear forum readers, I need help with some rouge GPU fans. I have an ASUS ROG STRIX 2070 Super OC (ROG-STRIX-RTX2070S-O8G-GAMING) that I bought in january 2020, and it has been working flawlessly ever since. I've been mining crypto with the card with Nicehash for about one year now, mostly 24-0, and I always used it for gaming since I got it. The card was ultra smooth and fine, I usually used it with max power limitation (41%), 50% fan speed, 400 memory OC and -400 core oc, with temps around 48C, and it was mining at a stable 39,9 MH and fans pretty quiet. While gaming I set the OC to default and it worked as it should. A few days ago when I turned the PC off for about a day and then on again, when I turned it on, the GPU fans (I've disconnected the gpu power and checked for noise, it is the GPU for sure) were randomly going crazy about 2-3 minutes after startup. I start the pc, windows boots, and a few minutes pass with the GPU's fans not even spinning a bit, then they randomly take on like 80%-100% i dont know what speed for no reason, (temp is 32C, no load at all), and they are LOUD. They also make weird noises, and sometimes they go slower for a few seconds and go back to loud again, sometimes they make veeery very weird noises like they are struggling or changing speed multiple times in a second or I don't know. All the while MSI afterburner is still set to the same mining OC, and I tried to set it to low fan speeds but it doesen't do anything, it just doesen't work. I've reinstalled afterburner, tried to check for any other fan speec control apps running but had no luck. My computer is so loud because of this that I can't mine on it anymore, since it is in my room, and it even bothers me while gaming, it's so loud. Did my GPU give up (as in faulty fans or ruined fans or something)? If that's the case, I still have 10 months of warranty, would that be a solution? Or maybe this is some software or BIOS thing that I could possibly fix myself. After the noise started, I cleaned out the GPU fans of all the dust on them, noise and weirdness persisted. Thank you if you can help! Edit: If I put the fan speed to minimum in afterburner (25%) They actually go a little quiet(er) now, but they still randomly try to go faster and after some time they start going fast again. Seems like something is forcing it to fluctuate in speed...

I saw a post on Reddit pertaining to the 3000 series cards saying not to daisy chain your power cables. Obviously based on the title I don't have a 3000 card. I have a 2070 Super, and for about a year and a half I have used a single power cable on it. Is that ok? I don't have any problems running games, but I don't want to start a fire or something. I don't have another power cable right now.

Hello people of the LTT forum, I was wondering what I could do to upgrade my computer that I bought a couple years ago. I built it myself (with help from Linus videos ad others) and I want to upgrade the overall performance of my PC. Here is the link to the parts list: parts list ps. I have not been on the forum before, so I don't know if asking for help with this kind of stuff is socially acceptable or something. Sorry if I did something wrong.

Hello. Does anybody also have this problem with Gigabyte 2070 super Gaming OC 3x 8GB? On the nvidia 471.68 drivers (or other new drivers before that) it doesn't boost above 1605 MHz and refuses to apply OC (even when in fact I don't change the clocks just hit apply in afterburner or revert to defaults), then screen goes black and returns to normal again. I have found a driver that works and it's 466.11 but some drivers before that also have this problem, and that's the only relatively new stable driver that I have found. BTW, I have always cleaned with DDU before every driver reinstall so nothing is corrupted. Anyways here is a topic on nvidia forums adressing this exact issue and it's a year old: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/385194/boost-clock-of-certain-rtx-2070-super-cards-will-b/?topicPage=6 (there is a temporary workaround listed there but it doesn't work)

So I've had this computer for a while now and the specs are pretty good in my opinion but the FPS I get is laughable. I have two pcs and they both seem to have this issue (The parts are listen below). With League of Legends STRUGGLING TO STAY AT 144 FPS and other games like Call of Duty warzone not breaking 100 FPS, I am so disappointed. I factory reset both of my computers and on one of them, the problem still occurs but on the other one it seems to of gotten better but not nearly as good as it should be preforming. I swapped the graphics card on the first pc after it stopped working and the problems still occured. I ran multiple user benchmark tests and got 0 things wrong with the computer and a score of over 100% in all caterogiores. It's not a temp issue either because my CPU rarely breaks the 50 degrease Celsius line and the GPU never goes over 65 to 60. I have tried everything in the book please help if you can :). BTW all drivers are up to date and windows is up to date aswell. Hi fellow nerds and geeks, I have a Ryzen 7 2700x, Asus Prime X470 Pro, 16GB RAM DDR4-3200, EVGA 2070 SUPER, with Windows 10 on a NVME M.2 SSD. Monitor AOC 27" 1080P 144hz I installed the game on the NVME drive as well. When I run it, regardless of the graphics config, I am always getting between 48-60 FPS. I have every setting turned down to Low and DLSS set to performance, but the FPS does not improve. I downloaded the newest driver update from NVIDIA yesterday, but that didn't seem to have any impact on performance. I will try a DDU reinstall of the new drivers tonight, but I wanted to get some input from the masses. Any and all help is appreciated! :)

I was wondering if i could Flash a new bios to my 2070 Super Fe Card to increase power limit. I was also wondering if anyone know what card had the highest power limit of the any of the Reference cards is???? I do have a water block on the card so temp isn't an issue. Yes it shows a 2080 in the pic, but it is a 2070 super under the block.

I have a 2070 super fe card and when I overclock i keep hitting a power limit and so I was wondering if I could flash like a strix bios to up the power limit. It is under a water block so temperatures shouldn't be an issue. I just want to know if this can be done.

Hey guys, Not the first time I'm posting about this but I'm trying to finx a fix for my problem : I have a RTX2070 Super matched with a Rysen 5600X on a Aorus B550 Pro V1 (I had to update the BIOS for compatibility) and for some reason my GPU doesn't generate and output when I use the top PCIE slot on my motherboard. I tried changing the PCIE gen i the BIOS and it didn't change anything. Fans are powering up and monitors (i have two) turn on as if they know something i connected but I have no video output. So now I'm stuck using the second PCIE slot gen idk at x4. EDIT : GPU lights are on, no GPU fans turning, no monitor recognition and red VGA LED on mother board (no GPU found)? Any Idea what could be causing this? I doubt it's physical damage or manufacturing defect as I exchanged the first board I bought to the store for a new one (same brand and model) and the same thing happenned. GPU worked perfectly fine on an Asus B350 and a 1600X before. Thank all.

All my screens went black and every fan in my PC ramped to 100% frozen like that until I manually turned it off when I tried to take a screenshot in Monster Hunter Rise. A day later I had no signal when turning on my PC but I fixed it by reseating the GPU. Now whenever I'm in a game for a few seconds or just randomly while not even touching the PC the screens go black and the fans ramp up to 100% every time. Monitoring power draw and temps of the GPU using HWInfo64 showed nothing unusual right before it happens. I bought the card used over a month ago and according to the seller the card is nearly 2 years old ran out of warranty last month and has never undergone preventive maintenance. My mainboard has 4 LEDs that are supposed to show errors(cpu/vga/dram/boot) but it doesn't show anything one of the 4 randomly glows for a few seconds on boot and then they stay off. specs Win10 home 64bit 21H1 Thermaltake GF1 850W AMD Ryzen 5600X RTX 2070 SUPER GAMING OC 8G MSI B550 Tomahawk bios 7C91vAB 4x Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4 3000MHz C15 Samsung 980 PRO 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 Some samsung SSD and an old seagate HDD Thing I have tried so far Updating drivers/windows Completely wiping my drives and reinstalling windows Resetting and updating bios Putting the gpu in a different pcie slot Using an old bequiet 500w power supply Using different pcie cables and slots for both PSUs Tested every single ram stick Undervolted the GPU Thing I couldn't try yet because of missing materials: Opening the GPU to inspect for damage or reapply thermal compound Swap out the motherboard Swap out the GPU Any ideas for things to try? No artifacts or graphical issues. Also I have been writing this while booted in safemode and it hasn't crashed in over an hour.

Hello so I have been thinking alot about upgrading my graphics card. I have a amd 390 right now. So my question to you is it worh to upgrade my graphics card now or should i wait for nvidas new series? I use a 1080p monitor with 144hz. My cpu is a 4670k but I will upgrade it to ryzen 3600 because I want more ram and I feel like it would be waste of money to buy ddr3 right now.

I have been thinking about adding a 2070 or a 2070 super to my rig which currently consists of a 1070ti , ryzen 2700x, 48gb of ram and an aorus gaming wifi 5 x470. The main reason I want to get a rtx 2070 is its ability to use ray tracing for 3d rendering programs. The addon e-cycles for blender is an optimised renderer that uses the GPU to get renders 2.5x faster, with an rtx card rendering is 4.7x faster. So my main question , is it a good idea to have both cards in the rig? I know games won't be able to utilize both but could rendering? What would the cons be of switching from a 1070 gtx to a 2070 rtx? And if it would be better to sell the evga 1070ti ftw do you have a y suggestions on where to sell it and how much you would ask for it
