So, I just got a Razer Blade Pro 17 (late 2019) and everything's working honkey dorry. New drivers are installed and everything seems to be doing well. However, I have a small issue where, whenever I play sound on a lower volume (under 20/100) I'll get this slight hiss sound from my speakers. It seems to delay slightly whenever I stop playing the sound (I stop the sound and about half a second the hissing stops). At higher volumes it doesn't seem to be a problem (either that or I don't notice it?). Any help would be appreciated. No info online from what I've seen for this particular problem.

Hello, everyone. I'm building a virtual lab for fun and I'm running into some issues that I could use some help with. The Default Gateway to my Domain Controller keeps becoming unavailable within a server on the domain. It appears to drop when I try to access the internet from inside the server. I discovered the error when attempting to download chrome from internet explorer. Resetting the adapter resolves the problem temporarily, but if I try to do anything on the internet, say, install chrome, the internet will drop. I have static IPs on both the DC and the Server. Changing Bridge to NAT with the IP set via DHCP in the server itself restores access to the internet, but it appears the server needs to use a static IP if I want to use Windows admin center. However; when I switched back to Bridged, set the server to a Static IP and attempted to install a browser, the internet speeds dropped to the floor. Ultimately the downloads failed. The issue appears to be related to assign the Static IP and a preferred DNS to the server. Would anyone know what might be the issue? I would appreciate any assistance that is available. Thank you. PS: Included an image of an error found in Event Viewer and the status of my Virtual BOX Thank you all in advance. Version 6.1.12 R139181 MacOS Enable VT-x/AMD-V Hyper-V (Not applicable)Installed guest additions.

Apparently, earlier today Intel confirmed that it is already working on a successor to their 8th Generation CPU's (Coffee Lake) called "Ice Lake". It is unclear whether they will be 4, 6, 8 or 10 core CPU's as Intel is yet to release any details in terms of CPU specifications apart from the fact that it will be based on a 10nm+ dye. Hey guys, I'm trying to activate Windows Server 2016 Evaluation with a 2019 Datacenter ROK Key. The Server is a VM and I also added the parameter "SMBIOS.reflectHost TRUE" to it. So Windows should be able to see that the OS is running on HPE Hardware. The activation of the ROK-License should work and it already worked with the installation of Server 2019 Datacenter. I don't have a 2016 Key and the 2019 is not officially supported of the program that is supposed to run on this new server. I couldn't find any answer for it on the net. The question is now: Is it even possible to activate 2016 Evaluation with a 2019 ROK key? Or maybe it's another problem? Thanks a lot already

As of recent Window's 10 Patches, AMD RyZen Balanced Power Plan no longer needed nor exist with their latest Chipset Driver ( from AMD Site ). Now I'm wondering, which Power Plan should I use ?? Window's Balanced / Performance ?? I've try Googling it, but there's no solid answer. Most are old topics. Which suggested to use RyZen Balanced. Some suggested to use Performance. Problem with Performance, it will peg all your Cores to MAX speed even at Idle and never down clocks. I did try using Balanced, only played one or two games, didn't notice any weird lag and such though. I even tried Cinebench....scores is about the same as RyZen Balanced, give or take. No huge dip in scores. But I do notice when using Window's Balanced, some of my Cores doesn't run at 3500Mhz constant. It will go down to 2200Mhz then up to 3500Mhz and it's not like between few long seconds, but it's like ever 0.5, up and down up and down... Is this even " good " ?? I don't recall my Intel CPU even does this, it would least stay at a certain speed for a certain amount of time before it clocks down. Just like while I was playing KF2, some of the Cores be pegged at 3500mhz which it should, but then some of the other Cores be all over the place....constant up and down. But as I said I didn't experience any lag / FPS drops etc though. Because the thing is, back when I was using RyZen Balanced, all my Cores are at 3500mhz in game, constant no drops ever. Maybe a slight Boost on One or Two Cores up to 3700mhz for a mere second. If you do own 1st Gen RyZen do share what Power Plan you use. Did you tweak anything else ? I want to mention my CPU is at Stock obviously, I only OCed my RAM.

Hey All, Looking for some advice! I'm a long time tech enthusiast and have been building my own systems since the Pentium 2 days :=x I usually upgrade every 3 years or so and aim for a mid range system. Looks like this time around I may have quite a lot more budget than usual but am also a little out of the loop when it comes to recent generations of hardware and VR. I've watched Linus and the crew regularly for years and am very aware that the community here are active and very knowledgeable. I thought this would therefore be a good place to ask for help before I blow my kids inheritance on the wrong hardware choices! My aim is to build in the next 2/3 months (so if anything new is about to be released and really worth waiting for then that would be good to know about too). My use case will be primarily a setup for VR gaming (I have a fairly large space which can be used for the sensors etc). Also, I haven't ever been lucky enough to do much high refresh rate gaming, so as well as the actual PC build, and VR setups, advice on high refresh rate monitors would also be much appreciated! Thanks in advance for all the advice, and let me know if you have any questions etc! :=> TLDR: 1. Budget & Location USA, PC: 2500-3000, VR: 400 - 800, Monitor: No Idea. 2. Aim I want the pc for VR gaming, and high refresh rate normal gaming. 3. Monitors I am looking for something which is 144hz or more, maybe HDR, size isn't that important, not sure about panel types and prices. Need Advice! 4. Peripherals Happy with all my peripherals, though I'd like to get a new mechanical keyboard, using a beat up ancient SteelSeries 7G now. 5. PC Hardware So far I am thinking, Intel Core i9-9900K, RTX 2080, not sure about motherboards, coolers, and the rest, still researching. 6. VR Hardware HTC Vive with the wireless adapter. 7. Why are you upgrading? I want to upgrade as I have always had to go for budget systems and am at a point in my life where I can build a 'Dream Rig' type thing, so want to do it right.

Hi all, I'm looking for the new 2019 model of the Acer Aspire 7, it comes equipped with 9th gen i7 and a GTX 1650. You could find the first version, equipped with the Kaby Lake-G series and a Vega MG L but this version it's been scrubbed. Does anyone have any news on it? Where to get it or if it's been actually delayed? This thing it's been shown for the first time at IFA 2018 last year in Germany and it should be out already. From what I can gather it's being released in April of this year but it's nowhere to be seen. Same goes for the new 2019 series of Swifts, Spin and Chromebook 714 and 715...all laptops I'm interested in too as alternatives. I've been stalking this machine for almost a year, it's my perfect next laptop, does anyone have any hints? Thanks. Another year, another MacBook… Or so it seems. Has Apple changed more than just the spec this time around, or can we judge this book by its cover? Buy a 2019 MacBook Pro from Apple: https://lmg.gg/8KVRs Buy an ASUS SCAR III: On Amazon: https://geni.us/Ykag0D On Newegg: https://geni.us/4HOwG0

The Internet code detleuths at XDA developer has found several references to the new Nvidia Shield TV hardware with the name "mdarcy".References in the Google Play Developer console seem to suggest this means there is a new and slightly refreshed version of Nvidia Shield TV, coming with the same Tegra X1 chipset, but powered by Android 9.This new information gives credence to a hardware leak in March in which the XDA developer saw the code name for the new Nvidia Shield controller and remote. It is estimated that all this information only shows a small update and refreshment of the 2017 version of Nvidia Shield TV rather than a new generation leap to Nvidia Shield 2.But there are some suggestions that the new model will include some adjustments to the chipset that allow it to support better power usage and increase the maximum GPU clock speed - which means more power behind old hardware. The addition of Android 9 will also help improve software settings and performance of the Nvidia Shield Experience software as well. Most of this is speculation at this point and we have to wait on the official news. We loved the Nvidia Shield TV technology in the past and the update will definitely be welcomed. Source: https://www.androidcentral.com/nvidia-shield-tv-new-hardware-and-android-90-pie-works

Razer Blade Stealth 4k (2019) vs. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2019)

Hey all! I'm planning to buy a blade to replace my old 2016 model, and I've decided on the 2070 Max-Q variant. There are 3 to choose, but only 2 come in white so I'm torn on what decision to make. One is an 8th gen 1080 model with a 144hz screen, and the other (for $100 more) is a 9th gen model with a 240hz screen. Does the 9th gen really perform that much better? Is 240hz a noticeable bump over 144hz? I don't know if it's worth the extra $100. Thank you!

After some research and watching tons of Linus' videos , I wanted to share a new build which in my opinion is a great deal you can get as in right now (August 2019). I went for an ALL-AMD build (Ryzen 5 2600 + Vega 56) but i also recommend the RTX 2060 for this build. In terms of gaming , it's capable of running most titles 1080p (as well as 1440p) high 60+fps.

Hi! I'm looking for help in this matter (apologies in advanced for my English, not my native language) Recently migrated a few VMs to a different host running Windows Server 2019... I set up VSS (24 hours, 8 RP) and replication to another host running Windows Server 2019. The thing is I'm getting this weird errors on some of the VMs Hyper-V failed to generate VSS snapshot set for virtual machine 'SRV-XXX': This operation returned because the timeout period expired. (0x800705B4). VSS snapshot set generation can fail if backup operation is in progress. (Virtual machine ID 180E42ED-058D-46DB-A5A2-8E91342A6F5A) And, on a particular VM - Windows Server 2012 r2 (which is a FS and we have shadow copies set up) I'm getting a few errors... one is that the VSS process hangs and the computer freezes (no explorer to interact or whatsoever, file sharing works tho) in this case I've to do a reboot and it will fix the error. Checking the logs I'm getting this error: Faulting application name: DPMRA.exe, version: 4.2.1603.0, time stamp: 0x59dcc367 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.2.9200.22753, time stamp: 0x5ccba6bc Exception code: 0x809909c2 Fault offset: 0x000000000002c978 Faulting process id: 0x600 Faulting application start time: 0x01d5478d05a3c8d5 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\DPM\bin\DPMRA.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: e488b324-b3e5-11e9-9442-00155d053204 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: . Things I've already tried: - deleted all the shadow copies on the server - reinstall DPM agent - disable Shadow Copies on the server did make a difference, but it's not an option May someone around can help me out Thanks!"

I have heard a lot about the new iPhone 11, ( confirmed name btw ) 11R and 11 Max. To break it down, the new iPhone(s) lineup will be a slight change in hardware, and design. Here are some rumors or leaked features of these upcoming phones. iPhone 11 and 11 Max New Triple Lens Camera with new wide-angle capability (confirmed) (debatable on weather or not the camera lens will be blacked out, or colored with the iPhone) New Apple 13 "Omega" CPU (confirmed) Not that much different in size from the XS. Returning 5.9' and 6.5' Super Retina Displays No change in pixel density (debatable) Same 60hz display New "Leap" haptic engine, better then the ones on the current iPhone lineup. iPhone 11R Price will be higher than its predecessor. Separate dual cameras ( No wide-angle ) Same Apple A13 CPU Might be upgraded to a higher quality LCD. Feel free to leave things that I may have missed out on in the comments.

So, I updated windows and after I updated it every time I try to play a game that uses Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015-2019 x64 Minimum Runtime, it would try to download it and gives me the error that I am trying to use a network resource that is unavailable and I should try and find the folder that contains "vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi" I have went back to the earlier version of windows, before I updated it and the error is still here. I have contacted Microsoft and all they have done is update windows again to fix the "Corrupted files". It hasn't done shit. I have went to websites to download the 2015-2019 visual C++. It gives the same error. I have ran ReImage repair. Also hasn't done shit. What the fuck should I do. Games run if I continue to click cancel, but crash after 10 minutes of playing. Games for example are GTA 5 & Battlefield V

Hi guys, I'm looking for powerful 15 inch laptop with decent battery life (5 hours+) that's not a mac (for obvious reasons). I quite like gimmicks and was drew to asus's screen pad although their build quality warded me off, i also really like the design of the zepherus line of laptops. Is there a 15 inch laptop that resembles the design of the zepherus line, is quite powerful, reasonably thin etc. Thanks
