I am at the verge of purchasing an iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Generation) 2018; because I know the 2020 model doesn't have many significant upgrades in addition to price. However, I had some concerns pertaining to its I/O V.S. the iPad Pro 2020. I am a University Student and purchasing for note-taking (Notability and with Apple Pencil), media consumption and occasional video editing (LumaFusion). I came across this USB-C Hub (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M8QR83T/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ALKJOI57VEXOD&psc=1) and wanted to know if the iPad Pro 2018 has I/O restrictions as opposed to the iPad Pro 2020. With this hub, would I really be able to connect an ethernet, HDMI, mouse, keyboard, HDD and 3.5mm audio jack simultaneously? Would all components function in the iPad Pro 2018?

My grandpa bought a copy of photoshop back in 2006 and he installed it on his computer but never used it. So what do I do... Make a pair of shorts godly. This was the first time I used photoshop and I think that the images turned out pretty good. -
Hi, thinking about buying a base model 2018 ipad pro but don't know when the support for it will come to an end. And also if end of support means that the new apps won't work on it (seems like something Apple would do). Thank you

Just got a very interesting newsletter email from Kalypso media with a link to the steam page for Tropico 6. Apparently there is a working alpha already with plans for an early 2018 beta and possibly summer release. http://store.steampowered.com/app/492720/Tropico_6/

https://www.kitguru.net/tech-news/featured-tech-news/matthew-wilson/oculus-to-launch-200-standalonewireless-rift-headset/ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-07-13/facebook-said-to-plan-200-wireless-oculus-vr-headset-for-2018 Bloomberg are reporting that Facebook plans to release their standalone, wireless Oculus Rift headset in 2018 for the much lower price of $200. This seems to be 'heard on the grapevine' rumour information, as the article contains a lot of - 'a person familiar with the plans' sources. However, it seems a sensible suggestion that Facebook will be aiming around this price arena, which is not too far from Samsung's Gear pricing, however without the need for a $700 smartphone to power it. It is reported to be using a Snapdragon processor of some sort but no confirmation on that from Qualcomm. This seems to be an entertainment focused device, with suggestions that people will carry them for watching films on planes, much as you might with a tablet. For gaming, it will likely be more powerful than something like the GearVR, but obviously a far cry from the full PC VR experience of the current Rift. Importantly, it will not have the positional tracking technology. What do folks think about a $200 VR media consumption device? Could this slot into a gap in the market?

This is a strange issue I had when I upgraded to the RTX 2080. I hadn't updated to the Fall 2018 creator's update (for obvious reasons) when I put my new 2080 in. I updated the Nvidia drivers perfectly fine, but Origin told me that I needed the Fall update to play with ray-tracing (the only reason I ponied up for the 2080). So I updated Windows, and the card worked fine, and even though ray tracing isn't too amazing, I was happy. But when Nvidia released their newest driver on 2/13, I could not update the driver. I did DDU in safe mode, but I was not able to install any driver (even as far back as the early 4xx.xx versions). So, I rolled back the update, and the newest GPU driver installed just fine. So now, I'm pretty sure that I'll have to update Windows to the Fall 2018 to use ray tracing, and then rollback to u[date the GPU driver. Super inconvenient. Just a tidbit in case someone else had the same issue.

I think the new Gtx 1060 with GDDR5X should have been the Gtx 1060 ti and not the same card with same performance, it;s such a missed opportunity from Nvidia to match the new Radeon RX 590 with its performance being in between 1060 and 1070. It seems like the capabilities of GDDR5X is wasted on the 1060. They could have just bumped the CUDA cores & core clock a bit. GTX 1060 ti would have made more sense in this case also laptops would get something new to put in newer mid range models until the RTX 2060's or 2050's hits the market.

I'm looking for a pretty nice laptop for productivity and some gaming on the side. I would like it to be portable with nice battery life and decent build quality. $2000 - $2400 ish. Is the surface book a good buy or is there something better value?

Hello there, i currently have a i5 4670, r9 290x and 16GB 1600 Mhz and i was wanting an upgrade to a GTX 1070, but ive seen in many places that my i5 will bottleneck the GPU, so i was searching and here in Brasil i can find a i7 4790 OEM new for around 351$ while a brand new i5 8600k or ryzen 2700x here costs 405$ and i would still have to up the MOBO and memory(DDR4 is very expensive here), so i was wondering if the i7 4790+gtx 1070 i would be ok for the next 3-4 years of 1080p 60 FPS gaming

Hi guys, I installed 9900K recently into my HAF X case and used my almost working NZXT X61 AIO. I need to change my cooler as my temps are really high on idle. I kept on searching for a CPU cooler and ended up with below options. Cooler Master ML360R Corsair H150i NZXT X72 Noctua NH-D15 However I want to know if they are capable of cooling an overclocked 9900K? while keeping the temps and noise low? In the "Caffeine-Fueled Midnight PC Building Stream" I saw linus cooling the 9900K with Noctua nh-u12s is it sufficient? new suggestions are welcomed as well Edit 1: I received a reply from CM about their ML360R, saying "Hi 9900K is one of the hottest chip when OCed, according to some of the test data available online, it gets hot even with 360 mm radiator, and some test data when OCed has TDP getting close to the limit of our cooler"

CPU's with more than 4 cores is becoming more readily available to the main stream user, and allowing for some interesting prospects. however at the moment the price of a i9 Intel CPU is still in the regions only allowing for enthusiasts. however it isn't an old idea of having a CPU packing more than 4 cores, server grade hardware has been doing this almost from day one. The real question is, how does old server tech hold up to today's (2018) standards. for this little budget experiment i have decided to test 5 aspects of the build 1) The performance difference between old and new hardware for gaming applications 2) The performance difference between old and new hardware for server applications 3) The cost difference between old and new hardware 4) The power consumption difference between old and new hardware 5) Is it worth the head ache and lack of warranty to practically use this So this projects actually started back October of 2016 where i purchased a ZT Systems Server SS-AMZ1FA09 (foxconn 02010he00-600-g Motherboard) server from Ebay for $80. this little puppy came with 8gb of ram and dual xeon E5506 CPU's By pure luck from the seller when i went to pick up the server from the seller it turned out the guy was a warehouse stockist of IT equipment and just wanted the servers gone so gave me 2 for the price of one, i had originally intended to use it for my home PLEX media server and for my owncloud media storage but i faced a few issues that resulted in me packing the servers under my bed and ignoring them for 2 years, one issue was being that the servers were in 1U racks and were so bloody noisy it put me off using the buggers. time skip to December 2018 (2 days ago) I was sitting on my lounge watching Linus tech tips petabyte project when what should show up but a video titled Under $150 Budget Gaming 8 Core CPU, Motherboard & 16GB RAM After watching the video I thought, wait i have 2 identical servers laying around i could just play with it and see how it goes, like what could go wrong... long story short, make sure you unplug a power supply before removing from a case. so after a few singed hairs and a tingly feeling running up my arm I removed the motherboard and PSU from the 1U case and put it on a 500mm x 500mm peice of ply wood with plastic self adhesive PCB snadoffs. and ran the server, SUCCESS... until my CPU's began to cook, ok so back to the drawing board. So in try Australian spirit... cable-ties to the rescue, so i slapped some 80mm Ebay special fans ($10 for 4 fans) and cable- tied them to the top of the passive coolers for the CPU's After doing this i fired up the server once again and was able to fully install windows 7 without the board shutting off from over heating, my next issue was either the north or south bridge began to cook itself so once again cableties... but this time i used a old fan i had laying around... a really BIG! fan. and this fixed my issue. after doing this i installed a GTX1050ti low profile GPU i had laying around for testing. So finally, everything works and i could run some tests. so my for my tests i decided on cinebench r15 for two reasons, i can test gaming performance as well as Server performance on the one platform. (im Australian, were lazy) so what did this little puppy muster up... Drum role please.............. awesome... until i compared it to some other devices. in comparison my ASUS vivobook pro N580V with its i7-7700HQ and GTX1050 Ti graphics card. this server is crap! so this is where we give up... until 4 beers into my gut and some late night Ebay scolling and wala. turns out the Xeon E5506 is one of their lower tier CPU's . so lets crank this puppy up shall we. so in honesty this idea came from a reddit user called "seanmac2" So i basically did exactly as seanmac2 did, i even purchased 2 Xeon E5620 CPU's for $12.50... then i had a few more beers and purchased 2 Xeon X5650 CPU's for $47.08 five minuets later. now why did i do this, well i got excited... over 6 cores, these little puppies were housing. 6 cores and 12 threads. now times that by 2. 12 cores and 24 threads... thats got to at least get me somewhere on the scoreboards. now i have not got either sets of CPU's yet and i dont know if the X series CPU is compatable with the motherboard. so until the CPU's arrive this is the end of this segment, and will pick back up when the hardware arrived. so i will be doing some more testing after the new CPU's arrive and test it and compare it to some modern hardware, but if anyone else has done something similar im want to hear your story.
