I want to add a noctua 200 to two 240 full copper radiators using custom mountings. Springs from each corner of the fan to the outer corners of the Radiators with suitable screws to fix it in place. My only concern is about the difference between a one 200 mm fan and four 120 mm fans regarding efficiency. Knowing that: 200mm has a 150 CFM, direct contact area is π x r² » π x 10 = 314 Sq cm 120mm has a 107 CFM, direct contact area of four fans is 4 x π x r² = 452 Sq cm I just multiplied the CFM by the area affected to determine the difference between both methods: 200mm ». 150 CFM x 314 Sq cm = 47100 4 x120mm »107 CFM x 452 Sq cm = 48364 I don't know what are the final numbers but i think that they determine the difference between two methods.. Are my calculations correct? If they were correct then there will be no difference regarding cooling performance. But way less noise with the big fan and probably a better performance in real life, plus the easier control with just one cable and less power consumption of course. Thank you for reading and answering Please see the image provided

it appears the 200mm fan noctua promised to give us is finally coming soon product listings for the 200mm NF-A20 PWM (4-pin) and NF-A20 FLX (3-pin) can be found on the noctua website. however, there is no ULN verison yet.

Fellow Techies, I have a problem. I was about to install new NZXT 120mm fans, but the screws they sent me fit a 200mm fan, The holes in the case are for smaller screws. Why did they send me those types of screws? Will all fans that I will buy be like that?

I'm just looking for some help finding the best 200mm fans out there. My plan is to use a 200mm as an intake for a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO and exhaust out the front and back of the case (I plan on having radiators there for a custom loop). My main problem is just that there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of options for 200mm, especially if you're looking for pwm. I know Noctua has one but I'd like to know what other good options there are.

Sup folks, I've got a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case with a pre-installed badass 200mm fan in the front. Although I like the looks (looks like a frigging prop-plane about to take off), I was wondering how it would compare to a pair of 140's. They'll be intake with one 120mm exhaust out the back, one dual 120mm radiator (so 1 radiator with 2 120mm fans) set for push-exhaust out the top. 200mm VS 2×140mm.... FIGHT! Thanks in advance, Regards, TJ

So I have an H500M case and the 2 pre-installed 200mm fans use a 3 pin connector for the motherboard (maximus x formula). I have all my other RGB components synced up but these 2 fans just stay red. This 3 pin connector is unable to go into my free 4 pin rgb connector and I have tried both ARGB connections. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Hello, I was hoping you guys could help me figure out which case to buy in terms of high airflow value. The Budget is pretty much not set, as prices differentiate from the US and Norway, so the cheaper it is, obviously the better, but i dont want to sacrifice build quality, quirks etc etc. But im looking at something at 100 USD. I cant seem to find any good combination as im seeing 3 fans in the front, but then only 1 on top and back, or 2 fans in front and 3 on top and 1 back. So i was hoping you could provide some cases that has 2/3 fans in front aswell as 2/3 fans on top, and 1/2 fans on the bottom for a "fantastic" case while also having a window. Though im not picky, so wether its acryl or tempered glass doesnt matter, but if you can find the latter, it would be Nice. Also im not planning on any Liquid builds, altough future plans might be AIO coolers, though do not take that in account EDIT: Forgot to add that it needs to support ATX board, and i do not mind it being a full Tower or weighing 50 pounds, i have no restriction there what so ever. Any answers is appreciated, and thanks for providing helpfull information

Hello! I just bought a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe for my new PC and I'm wondering what would be an efficient fan config for this tower case. A- 1x 200mm top, 1x 200mm front. B- 1x 200mm top, 2x 140mm front. C- 2x 140mm top, 1x 200mm front. D- 2x 140mm top, 2x 140mm front. Which one sounds better? I'm concerned about noise since I have been using a really silent gaming computer for almost 10 years and I want this new PC to be equally silent. Also, I'm not going to overclock my CPU atm, so my temperatures shouldn't raise too much when I play games. Thank you in advance!

Hey is it possible to make the plastic window on the p400 have support for a 200mm fan and the fan spot have many little holes for air. And can this be done cleanly and in a way that minimizes dust from the new intake. Any special tools needed other than a drill and sharpie and ruler.

So I have a thermaltake rx-i and it sits to my right on my desk. If you look up pictures of the case you can see that it has a massive fan hole on the side of it that's literally 1ft from my ear. As you would expect, I hear a good amount of noise from it, so I need to cover up that hole somehow. I've thought about tracing the fan filter with cardboard, but that would look really ugly and probably dangerous lol. Is there somewhere i could buy a solid placeholder for a 200mm fan to put there? I've searched around and can't find one...

Few Months ago a bought an alienware 15(early 2015)(specs given Below). Since I bought in winters I didn't face any issues until now. Since I live in India and with summers comming(it really gets hot here,42C) I was considering buying an Cooling Pad for my laptop. That was backgroung story Now here is the question. Which Cooling pad 1. Single 200mm fan 2. Dual 140mm fan 3. Quad 100mm fan Which will provide better cooling(Given approx same quality). Also Will dual 140mm make more noise or single 200mm?? Following LTT youtube since mid 2012(not forums) and he hasn't made a video about it any help would be appreciated. Specs i7 4710hq GTX 980M (4GB) 16GB 1666Mhz DDR3 128GB SSD(samsung) + 1TB HDD 1080p

I have been looking everywhere for a 200mm high static pressure fan (to use with a 200mm radiator), with no luck. Is this even possible? Should I go with a couple smaller fans instead? What are your opinions?

So I have a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case and it comes with one 200mm and one 140mm fan. I'm planning on buying two more 140mm fans to add to the case, but I don't know where to put them. Would it be better to use the 200mm as an exhaust in the top of the case with two 140mm fans as front intake and one 140mm as rear exhaust? Or leave it as the intake and put one 140mm on the bottom intake, one rear, and one top?

I'm interested in buying the NZXT H630 case but was wondering if any other 200mm fans were compatible with the 200mm mounting points on the case (specifically the Bitfenix Spectre Pro or the Cooler Master MegaFlow) PS. The H630 not the H630 Phantom, picture below to clarify

How come we don't see much out there about 200mm fans? I have two in my case, (the Phanteks one and CM Megaflo). I have them and I like them, but there doesn't seem to be an overwhelming desire for them or marketing for them. Any thoughts?

The 200mm fan in my Coolermaster CM Storm Enforcer occasionally emits these, not whiny, but highly irritating grinding noise. It does this particularly at higher rpms, around 800rpm, and I am not sure how long it has been doing this and what exactly it means. To me, it seems like the bearing (it is a stock case fan, thus sleeve bearing) is going, or it's lubricant is running out. However, I am unsure because the sound can come and go, and although not very loud, it is perceivable if listening closely without having my headset on. I've noticed this "issue" for around two months. I am not sure if it always had it's "grinding" sound, because it can be very faint, and does fluctuate as it does not always appear. What exactly is happening?

Hey everyone, I feel really stupid right now. I was doing my bi-weekly dusting of my computer since my room/hose gets really dusty and lots of pet hair due to owning 3 cats, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and 1 rabbit, That along with the amount of building work that's going on at the moment in my house. I started to clean my computer's front 200mm fan and couldn't quite reach. So I decided to pick my computer up onto my desk. But I had to move my chair first. Since my room is tiny (less than 8'x8') I got a little stuck, acidently kicked my desk and computer. Thats when I realised this happened. Yep, I had only gone an kicked the fan, snapping two of the blades. So I now have to get a new 200mm fan. I feel so stupid right now. I like the Phantek fan (the one I just broke) but was a little too loud as I can't figure out the fan control on my ASRock motherboard. Any suggestions for a new 1x200mm/2x140mm/2x120mm fan(s)? Requirements Quiet Move fair amount of air to keep my CPU temps down (Full 1 jigahertz OC on 4960k - 4.5GHz) Be fairly dust resistant, since the dust filters in this case a crap, covers the front intake, but not the side of the front intake. Not too Expensive (Less than £20 delivered) Thanks for reading and any suggestions. I'm just going to sit in the corner now and beQuiet (get it, fan, beQuiet! company, ok, I'll shut up now)

ok so i am getting a set of new fans currently i have the stock 200mm fan in the front of my case as the intake and i found a website that says that its air flow is 49cfm and the new one i am getting to replace the stock fan is 85cfm but the size of it is only 140mm so my question is do you think the smaller fan will outperform the bigger one but do remember that it is going to be between the front panel and the hard drive bays also the reason i am get nes fans is to reduce the nosie and hopfuly get a bit better airflow if i can the stock fan runs at 27 dBA and the new 140mm fan runs at 19 dBA both at max speed

Hey guys i'm making my new gaming rig and i plan to build it on the Phanteks Enthoo Pro, which comes with a 200mm fan. I intend to remove both the drive cages and use one of the 5.25" bays to house my HDD( with some 5.25" to 3.5" adapters) and use the SSD bracket included in the back. My question is, what fan config for front intake should i use ? I'm kind of a noob at Air Cooling and Fans but, theoretically the 200mm fan should bring more air at lower RPM VS 2x 140mm since we are talking Unrestricted Airflow, and keep the noise to a minimum. (Think i'm going to use some Bitfenix Spectre Pro Red LED fans). Thanks in advance, MY BUILD CPU: Intel Core i5 4690k 3.5 Ghz SKT 1150 MOBO: Asus Z97-Pro Gamer ( Think only avaiable in Europe and Asia) GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 Windforce 3x G1 Gaming SOC 4GB GDDR5 PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2 750W 80 Plus Gold Modular RAM: G.Skill 1866 Mhz 8GB RipjawzX Red (2x4GB) DDR3 CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Neptune 240M CASE: Phanteks Enthoo Pro SSD/HDD: Kingston SSD Now V300 Series 240GB 2.5" SATA III / WD Caviar Green 2TB 3.5" SATA III REAR FAN: Some Noctua fan maybe not sure yet ??????

I just upgraded my system to these configs: *Intel i7 4790k *Corsair H100i *650W psu Corsair *Nvidia Gigabyte G1 gaming 4GB DDR5 gtx 960 *Asus Z97A *16 giggs of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 *Thermaltake Chaser MK-I Basically, after setting it all up, I seem to be having one problem. At the store when they set it up everything including the fan led's were working great. and I set it up at home just now a few minutes ago and both the fans are running great, The front fan LED's working great as well but the side mesh panel fan which is another 200mm although working fine the led's not working somehow. The front fan LED's working fine but the side panel one isn't. Both are 200mm fan's btw. Tried different fan headers, still the same outcome so far. It's got a 3pin connector and connected to the bottom "CHA FAN 2" port on the motherboard. Where have I gone wrong? Because it was working fine on the store just a couple hours ago. Not a manufacturing problem, maybe a issue with my setup maybe? Help would be great guys, I adore you all.! Cheers.!
