I would highly prefer these: A good GPU, something around 3060 I would prefer AMD, but fine with Intel as well. A good screen, 15" would be enough. Looking for good color corrections. Semi-decent battery life. Something that doesn't have a "gaming" look. Budget: 2000$ Will be used for 3d modelling and game development alongside with my desktop computer. Thanks for all the suggestions!

The case can change depending if its compatible with the specs. I'm upgrading from Lenovo y520 laptop that i have for like 3-4 years now. Laptops screen is broken and the power button doesnt work so i need to manually power it on. Would like to play games looking at a good monitor min 144Hz. So I’ve been looking into getting a pc as of lately and I can’t really figure out what I want to get. I was looking at the RTX3070 and the 6800xt, I’m not for sure which one to get and which one is better. I would like to play games at high settings and maybe stream here and there what are your thoughts ?

Hi, So I search for new PC and I think about building one my own but I don't really know how to assemble the pieces and got confused from the assortment. So I would like to spend up to 2000$ (US $) and want to have the best out of this investment. Also because of the location there is need to include the shipping costs. This PC should serve me for gaming (of course), Software engineer (first degree) and little bit of editing (simple Photoshop/Illustrator/Premier editing). It won't have to include mouse, keyboard, monitor and speakers although it will be very nice if it would (especially monitor so I prefer monitor over the others). Thank you all, can't wait to see the comments ?

Hey Y'all, I am saving up to buy a PC (an upgrade from a 500$ laptop) for both gaming and web development, I live in the US and my budget is around 2000$ for the PC and the monitors. I want it to have 3 monitors, I already have one AOC 24" monitor (linked here), and I was thinking of getting another of the same monitor and then having a 27" 2k monitor as my main/gaming monitor. My plan is to use the computer for both my work as a web developer (hence the 3 monitors) and for gaming. As for the specific types of gaming, I would love to be able to run Skyrim in 2k with it, and actually be able to buy new/newer games (like assassin's creed odyssey, etc.) and play them at good settings. I do need to eventually get a better mouse and keyboard, but I think I am going to wait on those and get them for Christmas or something (although if you want to throw in advice for decent gaming mice and keyboards feel free, just don't include that in the 2000$ budget). Also, I will need to buy Windows 10 for the computer. I had a friend who builds computers as one of his jobs helping me design the computer, but he is dealing with some personal stuff right now so he can't help me anymore. While he was still helping me he sent me a couple of options for basic build setup (eg the general components but not brand specific or anything), I will link those here so that y'all can see what I was already thinking of, though if you have suggestions that would improve the PC I am all ears. I also have a couple of questions that have come up while I have been researching the parts to the PC. First, my friend picked the RTX 2070 as the graphics card, is the RTX 2070 Super worth the upgrade in my budget? Secondly, how do I know which brands are good brands? I like hardware stuff but have no idea which brands are the good ones. And thirdly, I am planning on buying the computer parts on Cyber Monday or other sales to save as much money as possible (the 2000$ budget is assuming everything is bought at roughly full price), what are good sites to watch for sales (I know of NewEgg and Amazon), and how do I know which sales are worth jumping on? Thanks Y'all for your help! Ben

Hey guys, I'm buying a new PC for Visual Effects work (Houdini - which is Multi-core CPU Rendering Software), GPU is the least important part in my build i think, but i still need a very decent one so it won't cause me problems and still benefit me when it comes to GPU Acceleration. My Budget is around 2000$ (USD). I had a recommended build for 1500$, but now i can squeeze more money up to 2000$. The 1500$ Build Recommendation: CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700 (8 Cores - 3.2 GHz - 4.1 Turbo GHz - 20 MB Smart cache) GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti 4GB RAM: 64 GB DDR4 Storage: 240 GB SSD Storage: 2 TB HDD Motherboard: B350 Gaming PS: I don't need Mouse/Keyboard or Screen. Thanks!

I am looking to build an new gaming rig, that can handle anything an 1080p and handle higher refresh rates. I play alot of modded minecraft, which is really CPU heavy, and I also want really fast boot times. I have no idea what components i should choose as I have not been paying attention to any of the new products that came out in the past two or three years. I would like to include and monitor and keyboard in this price, and if i need to spend more to get a more future proof rig, i would be ok with that. Any help is much appreciated

hey guys I'm still fairly new to custom pcs but i have two builds under my belt now and I'm looking into the more exotic bleeding edge of what is available but i haven't researched much in the ways of higher end hardware both my current rigs are mid range pcs around 800$ but for my next build i wanted to go to about a 2000$ price point I'm looking to game at max of 1440p at the moment maybe record and stream some. in addition i was wondering if going for a water cooling loop would be worth it at this price point i have overclocked on my previous system with pre-filled coolers but never set up my own and i kinda wanna start getting into more of that type of thing. it feels extremely confusing at this price point weighing out the benefits of amd vs nvidia and amd vs intel where as in the past for it been about the best price to performance now features are different and each manufacturer has exclusive tech. ive looked into picking the parts and putting them up here for you guys but i usually get stuck at the mother board as im dazed by the slew of z97 boards already out. thanks in advance

Hello awesome community, I have some questions about my planned PC build, I am not sure I have picked the right items or PSU.. This link goes to my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bHhsVn Is it worth buying or are there things where I can save money from? I'm planning to overclock my CPU and GPU, although I haven't added Fans in the builder. If this is a good build, what type of fan config should I use and what type of fans? Greeting from Belgium.

I need help with a build for a new gaming PC! 1. Budget & Location I'm looking to spend about $2000 (would consider going over for performance), and in $AUD. 2. Aim Using this mainly for gaming, some video/photo editting and just leisure. I want high end gaming as well. 3. Monitors I'm planning to run dual monitors(23-24'' would be nice). 4. Peripherals I'll need a keyboard, low-profile would be best. But if there's a good deal on KB-Mouse? Why not? 5. Why are you upgrading? No. I'm doing a fresh new build. P/S: I'll be using the H440 from NZXT since i'm in love with it

Hi there! I'm looking for some assistance finding the right parts for my first ever PC build. I'm on a 2000$ budget, but I don't mind going over budget with 1-200$ for more performance. There is no rush on getting the parts, I will buy them, when ever there is a good deal. I'm from Denmark(Northern Europe). I will be using my system for gaming and graphic workstation. Mostly titles such as GRID Autosport, World of warcraft and Battlefield 4. The graphic work I do is allot of Photoshop editing with large files and abit 3D rendering in Cinema 4D. So a few things.. - I would like to do my build in the Fractal Design Define R5 w/Window (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case. - For my components I would like to stick to the black/red theme. - Windows 7 or 8.1 - I would like to go dual 1080p monitor, so a suggestion to what monitor I should pick would be great. The monitors shouldn't be included in the 2k budget tho. I do not need any mice, keyboard or headset. The reason why I'm upgrading is because I'm currently using my 5 year old laptop that starts to struggle keeping up with all the games and work I do. This is what I was thinking about. Quite unsure about a few things. - Is it worth getting 2way sli video card or a stronger single card? - SSD Raid 0. Is it stable enough? - Cpu Cooling.. air or water? - High enough power supply? - Aftermarket fans and what about controlling them? Feel free to change parts in the build I made or do a completly new build. V.1 V.2

Hey guys, a friend of mine wants a similar gaming rig as me, but doesn't want to stream or anything. I made him a little build beforehand but I'm not quite sure if it's good enough.... Budget is 2000€, a good case and a 27" Monitor with 144hz and 1440p resolution should be in there too, I didn't find any yet. Also: What is better for only gaming? i7 (or even i9) or the Ryzen CPUs? Any tips on improving?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on this forum so if I am doing something wrong please tell me. I have some experience with building computers etc. but I am not 100% sure about this so I would like some help. :3 I would like to know what parts would be good for a new computer that I am planning on building. I have a budget or about 2000$ though it is slightly flexible. I will not be doing any video editing in the near future though I might look into it at some point. The games that I will play on it are Rome 2 and Attila Total war, Witcher 3 and CSGO. I have a 1440p monitor with 144hz (Acer XB270HU). I am considering whether I should get a larger 1tb samsung ssd or 2 intel ssd with raid 0, or maybe this is too expensive for the budget that I have. For the CPU I am thinking an intel 17 4790k and with the new 300 series amd graphics cards I don't really know which one is best for what I want. Posting entire part lists or just individual suggestions both work. Any support is appreciated. <3 .

The Ultimate 2000$ (USD) PC Build! (Black/Red)
Derpologist posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I have built PC's for others before, lets just get that one out of the way. I've done lots of re-cablemanagement jobs (prebuilt PC's ughhhh) and some upgrades and builds, but never something to this massive scale. I have an old friend who reached out to me because he was interested in having a PC built for him. His cousin had a friend build one for him, and now my friend wants me to build one for him. All this time while he's telling me this, im thinking...oh boy its going to be like a 500$ budget... He says he wants at least two monitors with room for upgrades and a black and red theme Then he tells me he has 2k USD to spend on it. He wants everything included; Keyboard, Mouse, Headset, Monitors, and computer. Recently he has gotten into gaming on his cousins PC and apparently has gotten very very good, so he decided to have a PC built. I have been working on this partlist for almost three months now, and I must say, its quite impressive what i've been able to fit into a 2k budget. I just want you guys to see what you think of the final (ish) partlist before I send it for him to purchase the parts. Here goes: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/B8fvCJ Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/B8fvCJ/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.75 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 240M 76.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($103.99 @ NCIX US) Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($115.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory ($129.88 @ OutletPC) Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP310 32GB mSATA Solid State Drive ($36.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Corsair Force LX Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($114.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($70.98 @ OutletPC) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($70.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card ($328.99 @ Directron) Power Supply: Corsair RM 550W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($94.99 @ Micro Center) Optical Drive: Samsung SH-222BB/RSBS DVD/CD Writer ($37.06 @ Amazon) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit) ($86.99 @ NCIX US) Wireless Network Adapter: Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($29.99 @ SuperBiiz) Case Fan: Corsair Air Series AF120 Red 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($14.88 @ OutletPC) Case Fan: Corsair Air Series AF120 Red 52.2 CFM 120mm Fan ($14.88 @ OutletPC) Monitor: Acer G227HQLbi 60Hz 21.5" Monitor ($119.99 @ Micro Center) Monitor: Acer G227HQLbi 60Hz 21.5" Monitor ($119.99 @ Micro Center) Keyboard: Corsair Vengeance K70 Wired Gaming Keyboard ($129.98 @ NCIX US) Mouse: Corsair Sabre Wired Laser Mouse ($64.99 @ Amazon) Headphones: Corsair Raptor HS40 7.1 Channel Headset ($39.99 @ Micro Center) Other: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-02 Case ($60.00) <------------------------------------- CASE!! The mSATA SSD is for smart response on the mobo The SSD is for the OS, Steam (not the steam library, just the app itself) and other small applications The two 2TB drives are for RAID 1 as mass storage. The case is at the bottom because its not on pcpartpicker so I had to add a custom one Other than that, feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I will reply asap Thanks, tech world! -
