Hey guys, I want to buy a set of speakers and i have no clue which one is better. Please help me out. I have around 200-250$ budget. I saw the following speakers that caught my atention: - Logitech Z407, Z553, G560. - Razer Nommo v2 (the ones with the subwoofer). - Some sets from Edifier. If you could help me pick from one of those and/or give me other ideas that you think are better i would highly appreciate it!

Hi, I'm using a 2018 Macbook Pro with a Hama dongle (https://uk.hama.com/00200107/hama-usb-c-hub-multiport-4-ports-2-x-usb-a-usb-c-hdmi-) to connect an HDMI TV and various USB A devices to the mac via 1 cable. The issue I have is that none of my USB A devices are recognized by the Mac if I connect directly to the hub. However, if I connect this Hama SD card reader (https://www.hama.com/00200125/hama-usb-otg-hub-card-reader-3-ports-usb-a-sd-microsd-incl-usb-a-adapter) to one of the adapter's USB A ins and then connect any USB device to the SD reader's USB A in, the Mac recognizes it. Example of devices: Trust GXT 130 Wireless mouse, MOTU Ultralite MK3, Akai APC 40 So: Device -> Hama Dongle -> Mac: Not recognized Device -> Hama Dongle -> Hama SD card reader -> Mac: Recognized Any idea what the problem is ? Why does it not work with the dongle's USB ins which are USB 3.2 Gen 1, but works with the SD card reader's USB in which is 2.0 ?

So I have a Base PS4 and a base XBOX ONE I have a hi-definition 1080P smart TV and I’m wondering if upgrading the HDMI cable to a 2.0 or 2.1 will give me better speeds on either system? is it worth the upgrade or future proofing? thank you in advance

Hey, I'm looking for some new PC speakers. My budget is €100-€150 (or $100-$150). But i live in Western Europe. Anyway: The speakers will mainly be used for spotify music (320kbps) (trance, dance, obvious hits, ...), gaming and watching Netflix. 2.1 I was thinking of the Logitech Z623 (€130). Because they are not so big. (i own 2 JBL 305's, but these are just to big, to put 70cm of my ears. Or next to my pc screen.) 2.0 (no idea) Any suggestions?

Hello, I'm currently in the process of upgrading my current PC's specifications (https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Draconid/saved/#view=dwyMpg) up to a higher standard by purchasing myself a Ryzen (What I'm buying: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Draconid/saved/#view=T3GCJx) until recently I hadn't realised that my IO panel only has 2 usb 2.0 slots (my case: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/elite-311/) and I wanted to ask whether my motherboard will still be able to make use of these USB's, as otherwise I don't really have access to the back of my computer.

I use Adobe After Effects 2.0 (I'm really cheap and it works). But, when I saved a project. The exported video seemed squished. It turns out the project is at a lower resolution. But, I can't change it because the project and inexistent sequence settings have the resolution grayed out. So, I can't change it to 1920-1080. Please leave solutions or suggestions below.

Hey guys, I find myself confused about PCIe lanes, and I'm sure one of you understands this better. I have a TUF Mark 1 x299 board with an Intel Core i9 7900X, so I have 44 3.0 lanes to work with. Here are the motherboards PCIe slots: 3xPCIe 3.0 (x16), 2xPCIe 3.0/2.0 (x4) (1_PCIe (x1), 2_PCIe (x4)) 2xPCIe 3.0 M.2 (x4)Here's what I have / want in them:1_PCIe 3.0 (x16) GTX 1080 (3.0x16) (Have)1_PCIe 3.0/2.0 (X1) HDSPe AIO (1.0x1) (Have)2_PCIe 3.0 (x16) GTX 1050ti (3.0x16) (Have)2_PCIe 3.0/2.0 (x4) [Empty]3_PCIe 3.0 (x16) Magewell Pro Capture 4k+ (2.0x4) (Have)1_PCIe 3.0 M.2 (x4) Intel 600P 1tb (3.0x4) (Have)2_PCIe 3.0 M.2 (x4) Intel 600P 1tb (3.0x4) (Want)So if you add up the lanes of what each device uses:40 PCIe 3.0 lanes4 PCIe 2.0 lanes1 PCIe 1.0 laneWith a total of 45 lanes. This exceeds the 44 lanes on my CPU correct? Or are the 2.0 / 1.0 lanes run through the board and not the CPU? If it is taking up all my lanes which device will throttle? I would prefer the GTX 1050ti as it is just dedicated to encoding and PhysX, will I have to move it to a different slot to make sure it is the device that throttles?Am I even on the right path here?Thank you, hope it isn't too confusing.

I tried Googling it myself I can mix answers and rather confusing. My question is, which is the most stable and problem free and of course I would prefer the fastest ( that be USB 3.0 I guess lol ) way to fresh Install Windows 10 via Flash Drive. Well what I found out to be SAFE just go with USB 2.0 and with a USB 2.0 Flash Drive. But the downside is, where the hell do you even buy new USB 2.0 Flash Drive and secondly isn't USB 2.0 like super duper slow ??? Even a 3.0 is only like the speed of a 7200 RPM HDD which is rather slow as well.... Some claimed that only older generation hardware ( Mobo etc ) and Windows 7 you're unable to install the Windows using Flash Drive through USB 3.0. While Windows 10 has native support for USB 3.0 and most modern Mobo will work with USB 3.0 as well.... So what's everyone's opinion ? My planned build Mobo would be a Gigabyte X370 Gaming 5. I have a few USB 3.0 lying around. Wonder if the brand matters. Another question is which I couldn't find the answer to....do I actually need Driver to even get my USB 3.0 ports to work ?? On my current PC, all my peripherals are plugged into 2.0...so back when I was doing fresh Win 7 install I'm using a disc instead, so everything runs fine. Some people told me that USB 3.0 won't work till you install the Driver / Mobo Driver for it

i purchased a flash drive from a brick store assuming it is 3.0 but it is operating in speeds of 2.0. i checked flash drive details using chip genius and it shows protocol as 2.0(what). im 100% sure that im using the flash drive in usb 3.0 port. i just wanted to know that if this might be the fault of drivers or something else before i go and kick the sellers ass. i suspect that the drive actually is 2.0 but was sold with label of 3.0(fake drives). note: os: windows 10 flash drive: SAMSUNG USB 3.0 Flash Drive BAR 32GB(at least it looks alike)

Is there a way to increase the power output of the USB 2.0 port on a motherboard? I ask because I've been getting so much static hissing noise from my condenser microphone and apparently its because its not getting enough power. Thanks very much!

hey all, im looking for some advice on speakers etc... the first part of me talking is talking about my experience. i currently have 2.1 set up and from my expirence with 2.0 i'd rather have some bassy 2.0 speakers. and i dont care to much for detail in the highs as much, its not a priority. i currently have logitech z333, i am looking to get speakers that can both go louder, and have deeper low end. now my budget is basicly £200 for speakers and amp, i am not an audiophile and so dont want to be spending loads of speakers, but i want somehing relatively nice and stereo for games, music and movies. the speakers i started off looking at and i am still considering is the wharferdale 9.1 (they are relatively cheap and well regarded) but i dont know how they can do for noise levels or bass. i am looking at getting it with this amp: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SA-50-TDA7492-Stereo-Amplifier-Adapter/dp/B008Y7S198/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499796975&sr=8-1&keywords=50w+amp mainly because its cheap. i have seen a review for JBL LSR305 speakers but they are mostly out of my price range. i have also looked at monitor audio MR2's because of the larger driver i thought it might be better at producing a more room filling and bassier experience. TLDR; im looking for some bassy and loud bookshelf speakers and an amp for under £200 i know i am a bit of a "noob" at this and i am open to be educated i did look at the pinned post about FAQ's (not extensively though but reading through sections i thought to be relevant. i hope i have been able to describe what im looking for well enough. and i hope you can help. also, i care more about a nice smooth yes deep bass than the audio levels as long as they are the same or more than my current z333's thank you all in advance

Hello everyone, First off, thanks for reading. Recently my old DJ speakers have died, cause unknown. So I started looking into a new set of speakers. The ones I am looking into these two options: Cerwin Vega XD4 (2.0) Thonet & Vander Rätsel (2.1) I mostly listen to progressive rock music but from reading up on the internet the Vega's seem better. The price diffrence is not my concern since it's not that much. The thing I am struggling with is the connection. Both use a 3.5mm headphone jack and I plan to connect them to my external hdmi monitor's 3.5mm jack or the one built into my Asus laptop. However I wonder if it would be better to get a Dac or a Usb to 3.5mm jack converter since those are cheaper. The Vega's have an AMP built in, I'm not sure about the Rätsel's. Any help or suggestions for better speakers for rock music, amps, dacs etc. is more than welcome! Kind regards, Snieky

Hello, I've been looking at purchasing a new set of PC speakers and I've been wondering whether it's better to go with a 2.0 set or a 2.1 set. The speakers would be general purpose - gaming, music, movies, etc. Now, I'm no audiophile, but I am halfway towards being one - I can definitely recognize when something sounds terrible. I need something halfway decent which will not drive me crazy. No great volume or bass which will make my neighbors kill me required. My budget is about 100€ and I've been looking at Edifier 1280T or Tascam VL-S3 for the 2.0 side. I've almost decided to buy the Edifiers, but I don't want to be sorry about getting a 2.0 set when I could have gotten a similarly price 2.1 set (Edifier M3200, for example). Any advice? Thanks!

usb USB Ports: How to Identify Intel USB Ports
grasspuff posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello. Okay from my basic 2-minute understanding chipsets are what controls USB ports, right? aaaandd I remember reading a while back that motherboards come with like, additional USB ports with 3rd-party USB controllers soldered on to the PCB (like VIA, etc). So as per the title, how to do you identify Intel USB Ports? -
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a speaker set for my PC. I had a Logitech Z333, was good. (I bought an Edifier M3600D but it has a crackling sound from reflex port ( only occours in the 20-40Hz range, with even not so big volume), so I'm a bit unsatisfied (other than that, it's a good speaker), trying to replace it, unless it is proven that I'm doing something wrong (or I should not except more in this price range?)). My budget is around 150 Euros. I like powerful bass. I was looking at sets myself ( I don't really know how these systems work, I just love bass.): -Logitech Z623 (Z625) 2.1, 200W, THX -Logitech Z2300, 2.1, 200W, THX -Edifier R2730DB, 2.0, 136W For me the Edifier seems to be BIG (I have no idea how and where will I be able to place it). Can anyone help me decide, or suggest any system, wich is: -In price range -Has good bass -Not monster big (placeable on desk or similar) Thank everyone in anticipation.

Why do some people say that USB 2.0 peripherals (For example my Fifine K669 USB or the Logitech C920) should ONLY be put into 2.0 ports... This would be an issue for me because I don't have any USB 2.0 ports... But I've noticed my mic sounds good anyway. I would be surprised if I ran into an issue because USB ports are backward compatible, but some people swear there are issues. [Issues with mics are apparently just terrible quality and for webcams, video corruption.] It's really confusing to run into in reviews, etc. Any input? Maybe if someone searches for this question, this thread will help, since when I did, it only brought up articles about how USBs work.

The known: PCI express 2.0 has a peak speed of 8 GB/s. 2.0 came out in 2007. can handle 1–5 billion transfers per second. each lane can send 500 MB/second. a 32 lane board can transfer 16 GB/second. PCI express 3.0 has a peak speed of 16 GB/s. 3.0 came out in 2010. can handle up to 8 billion transfers per second. each lane can send 985 MB/second. a 32 lane board transfers 31 GB/second. PCI express 3.0 video cards are backwards compatible to PCI express 2.0 slots. ******************************************************************************************************************************************* What are the benchmark results when comparing the same exact video card in a like for like system where 1 motherboard supports PCIe 2.0 and the other motherboard supports PCIe 3.0? Is there a noticeable difference with a 3.0 system in multiplayer online gameplay? Does the 3.0 technology mostly benefit graphics editing? Thanks, Kelso
