Hi I am a beginner gamer, and I use a Acer Nitro VG271U, 27 inch, 2k monitor. I have a inno3d 1660 super. I played The Division 1 on 1440p and everything was super smooth. But after that, I downloade Hitman 1 from Epic Games, and tried lauching it. When I launched for the first time it did not come full screen, and after a second my display screen turned black. Nothing happened for 20-30 second and just a black screen. Because of this Irestarted my pc. Now the colors are looking faded out like the youtube icon used to come as reddcolor, but now there is like a faded red. After that I again restarted. I logged into Epic Games again, and played Hitman 1 again. No issue in playing but the colors of my display appear faded. I have tried changing monitor configurations like Brightness, but at earlier my display brightness was around 14- 15 and colors were quite bright. I don't think hdr was on because with hdr the brightness goes to 100 everything goes very bright and the light from the screen is unbearable. I have uninstalled and installed the latest game ready drivers from Nvidia, and have even done memory diagnostic also but noothing happened. I brought my PC just a month back , my PC on 16 august. What seems to be the problem. Can somebody help me out here

Why Asus created the TUF3 1660 Super ? I mean, they have the TUF 1660 Super OC 6gb with 2 fans, and without any solid context or different specs, they done the TUF3 (3 fans instead of 2) of the exactly same specs... (only 15mhz more clock in gaming boost.. really?) This is the only advantage a TUF3 1660 Super can give? 1 more fan? and the original 'TUF 1660 Super', Asus needed this extra fan for some reason or is just a "let's add something aesthetic to sell it again" ? what your opinion about this?

Planning to buy 1660 Super Card. Which card has the best components? (since AMD hasn't fully fix their driver. Given the current craziness with GPU's as of late, I was wondering if the 1660 super is a card that is worth it in 2021, and how future proof is it? Would it be worth it to buy it if I could somehow find one at MSRP, or would it be better to but spend extra and get an RTX card? (Note: I am not planning on buying a GPU anytime soon, definitely going to wait until prices go down next year hopefully, or maybe I could snag a used one at a good price.)

I have a Ryzen 5 3400g for a CPU and I bought a 1660 super but I am not getting the performance I was expecting. Does anyone know if the problem could be my CPU bottlenecking my GPU?

Ok, so I bought a Gigabyte GTX 1660 Super Mini ITX OC from my friend (for £200 (msrp) because they got a 3060Ti for only £200 over msrp) as an upgrade from a GTX 1050Ti. Performance is ballin' and I'm loving it. But what I thought was coil whine turns out to be the fan literally going brr. I took the shroud off, took the fan off of the shroud, cleaned it all up, put it back, and tightened the screws. All just to make sure that it wasn't the construction of the shroud that was causing it. I couldn't see anywhere that might be interfering with the fan blades, so it's gotta be the bearings, or the motor coils. At 60% fan speed, it sounds like a mini-fridge compressor, through my headphones (the sound of the pc fans gets filtered out, so it's just the fan coil whine). At about 80% speed, the pitch of the coil whine is high enough that sustained exposure becomes painful. So I need to replace the fan, but from what I can tell from the following bits of research, the options for the fans are "RMA or deal with it" Reddit thread of someone with basically the same issue as me Reddit thread of someone with a fan rattle issue A post on this forum of someone with fan rattling I even started looking around for entire replacement heatsink/coolers, and found these two forum threads TechPowerUp forum - "what happened to aftermarket gpu coolers" Overclock forum - Someone who discovered Arctic Cooling doesn't support the 1660 Ti with any cooler they have For reference, here's my PC specs Ryzen 5 3600, cooled with a DeepCool Gammaxx L240 V2 AIO (I guess L240 refers to the fact it's a 240mm rad) Corsair RM550x PSU Patriot Viper Steel 2 x 8 GB DDR4-3600 CL17 NZXT H510 case MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI Micro ATX Motherboard My question to all of you is: what are my options? I could just bulk-buy replacement fans and replace them every 60 hours (the amount of time the fan-rattle reddit post mentioned silence lasting). I could find an aftermarket cooler, but not only are they hard to find, but there's no guarantee of quality, and no reputible manufacturer (other than arctic which as already referenced, they're touch-and-go as-is). My end-goal is the custom loop, but that's a couple months down the line. What would you all recommend I do in the meantime? Is there anything I can do to at least reduce the hum of the gpu fan coils for a while? I am buying this pc for the cpu which i need for my job as a software developer. 2 things i don't like are the relatively small ssd and only 16 gigs of RAM. My solution for the ssd is that I have 2 2tb western digital green hdd's laying around (I know only 1 fits in the case), so extra ssd space won't be necessary for the first couple of months. I currently have a Dell G5 8857 and docker is hoarding ram on that 16 gigs so I really want to upgrade my new pc to 32 or even 64. However since i am a software developer and barely know anything about hardware(okay more than the average person but I'm certainly not a hardware guru) I really don't know if I am missing something in this setup and what kind of ram to buy when I want 32 gigs. I suppose I need simple 3000MT/s 8 gig banks, but there must be a reason why the previous owner took the low profile ram. I'm also uying a 32 inch ultrawide monitor, but I suppose the videocard is powerful enough. I hope someone reads over this configuration and is able to advise me on what to change in the future.

Okay so around a week ago i got a new PSU which i was satisfied with because finally i can rest knowing my PSU is enough for my pc. not until my GPU a gtx 1660 super zotac AMP started doing...weird stuff. When i turn on the pc it makes a noise of someone pulling on a string (The fans) it doesn't sound like rattling. And at certain speeds from 58 to 63% the fans click and you can hear it if you put your ear on top of the case since i don't have cooling fans on the top. not loud but audible clicking. and once it goes to 64 or 65% all the way up to 100% it's fine.. And of course Warranty works differently in Egypt so if i ever have to send it to RMA all they do is put the card on a test bench (Vertically) and run furmark. if it doesn't overheat or crash then the card is perfectly fine so it would be pointless to RMA it.. is it okay to leave it like that ? or is everything just going to get worse from there? I just bought a new gtx 1660 super zotac amp a month ago and when i turn on or off my pc the gpu sounds like it squeezes or pulls on something..my gpu fans run on 32 speed on idle permanently and slowly increase while playing games. Sometimes i hear rattles (high pitched) and sometimes i dont..so i tried to put my gpu fan speed on 78 from 32 to give it a headstart to see if it rattles and it doesn't. I tried increasingly it by 5 digits every time as well and nope...doesnt rattle.. Can coil whine sound like rattling or squeezing or pulling on a string? I don't know what to do and the whole thing makes me extremely frustrated. (Havent enjoyed my pc since 6 months ago due to old gpu issues and psu issues..)

I live in Egypt and around a month and a half ago i got a 1660 super zotac AMP which apparently has 3 years warranty. My gpu recently started doing some weird noises on fan levels from 53 to 57% i don't know what they are. They arent clicking or grinding they sound like they are vibrating if that makes sense. So i tried to contact warranty (which isnt zotac in Egypt but instead a place called Amir) and nope..no answer..not on my texts , called them twice and no one picked up. So i kinda just felt angry and let it be like that..question is , is it even worth the RMA? Its not affecting my performance or temps or anything at all..and the sound is there if you put your ear to the case or on top but if you're just in gaming mode you won't hear it..

I got gifted this 1660 Super by Gainward. The card has the following issues: Resolution locked at 800x600 Not detected by Windows and Afterburner. GPUZ partially detects it (see the pic below) Glitches Now, I tried some simple fixes like wiping old drivers, cleaning the card etc but no luck at all. What else can I try before tossing it into the bin?

Hi, I'm from Ukraine, budget around 1100 USD. Trying to nuild a PC for my girlfriend's younger brother, he wants to be a programmer, plays some games (Fortnite and Detroit Become Human, for some small reference), his parents will use it for some small things but that's irrelevant. So, I've been looking for GPUs recently and the 1660 super seems like the best for the performance I need. They seem very overpriced right now for the 6gb models. How much should I be paying for one of these used? I'm from the UK so £

TL;DR: PC was working fine then after a restart and a trip to the bios later to tweak the fan curve and lower RAM clock speed, the PC wont boot with RAM in the 3&4 slots )but works in every other combination). Sometimes it will just go to a solid white LED on VGA and sit there forever. Greetings forum goers! I am having an issue with booting PC up, I recently got into VR but was having issues getting some games to run smoothly. I was having crashes frequently in steam VR and even a green screen of death(I sadly AM on the dev channel of windows insider, waiting for a new update to drop so I can escape the clutches of insider builds X.X ). I had my memory OCd to 2933 so I tried backing it back down to its stock clock of 2800 and adjusting a fan curve. This was when I couldn't boot up anymore at all. No beeps even. I looked at the debug LEDs and saw it was stuck with white VGA . Things I have tried: Disconnecting all USB, removing GPU and trying to get different boot light, updating BIOS, resetting CMOS, testing each RAM stick individually in slot 2 (they all work fine AND it booted each time). Then I tried all different combinations of RAM in slots and verified that all slots worked. TL;DR: In GPU Tweak II, will OC Scanner offer more performance than the "OC Preset", and does it automatically apply those settings? Hello, so I recently got a rig with a 1660 SUPER from ASUS. It is the Dual Fan factory OC version listed here on TechPowerUp. My question is as follows: In GPU tweak II (No, I'm not using/going to use AfterBurner or RivaTuner), there are 3 profiles/presets (in "simple mode"): OC, Gaming, and Silent. However, there is also a feature called "OC Scanner". Is there a benefit to running the 30 minute long OC scanner, as opposed to just using the profile "OC" (since it's factory overclocked anyway)? SIDE NOTE: Yes, I turned off 0dB Fan. The heatsink on this card is way overkill anyway, so even at 100% utilization @ 1900mhz, it doesn't make a noise I have spent a few days searching around Google, DDG, and many forums, and nobody has been able to answer this. I would not be asking for your time and consideration if I did not genuinely believe somebody here had insight to offer that I could not find elsewhere. Thank you for your time.

OK, I bought a pre-built that I want to slowly upgrade and it came with a single stick of TForce VulcanZ ram in 3000mhz 8gb. I mostly play games like WOW, SWTOR a bunch of FPS games and I do photo editing. My components are an I5 10400F, B460 Extreme, 1660 Super. Im wondering what I should do. Will 16GB of ram work well enough for my games and editing or should I go 32GB? Also what ram should I put in? 4 vs 2? What are your thoughts?

I'm looking at 1650 super. But based on my research on other forums, 1660 super or even ti are much better. But I also seen some that it'll just bottleneck. I'm not sure. I just want what's the best option for my 3400G. I won't mind if it'll be from AMD. I just need the best option.

Hi! A new member here. I got a not so new PC from a friend. It has been rarely used and still performs so well. The setup is an Intel Core i3-8100 with it's stock cooler, a 16gb of ram, and a mobo of Asus H310m-k r2.0. It also has a 120gb Kingston SSD and a 1Tb Seagate HDD. I'm planning on upgrading this rig to somehow run some of the demanding games that we do have today specially COD: Warzone. What i have in mind is upgrade it to an i5-9600k and pair it with a GTX 1660 Super. From the current setup that I have, will it be worth it? Can't buy the two at once so I might need to choose what to get first. Is it a new cpu or have a good gpu? If i get the 1660 super first, will it bottleneck the i3 too much? I have no choice but to stick with an Intel cpu because of the chipset my mobo have and also, I do a lot of photo and video editing so Intel is good enough for me. Hope you can help me. Hey guys, so I'm in the process of building a new P.C and I'm looking to flip my old Alienware Arura R7 for some cash. It's well-kept with the exception of a few knicks on the side of the case and has an aftermarket MSI Gaming X 1660 super. The specs are going to be listed below.
