My system are ryzen 5 1500x Asrock ab350 pro4 hyper x 4x2 2400mhz(old ram) asus 1050ti ph vs650 The system won’t boot up after adding the new ram which are hyper x 4x2 2400mhz, all same specs just the sink aren’t same. I tried adding new ram by it self, I wouldn’t post either, tried resetting cmos, tried configure the xmp profile for ram. I tried it at the store on their pc and it works, my dad went and tried it at his works and it works, but not my pc. what should I do to make this work, since I couldn’t return the ram and I don’t want to buy a new one anymore.

I have a 240hz monitor and a new rtx2080 graphics card (I decided to splurge as I had just had birthday money from my 18th and my rx580 died on me). I am still running my system from 2017 with a AMD 1500x, 16GB ddr4 3600, & a b350 motherboard. Do I need to update my motherboard before I get a new CPU (thinking ryzen 3600x). If a bios update is needed how easy is that to approach and a have a 212 evo atm, will that need upgrading for a 3600x?

intel i5-7500 vs amd ryzen 5 1500X. i am looking to purely game on the computer and its unlikely that i would be doing and video/audio/photographic editing. what should i do because i am looking to build my first computer and i dont know what to do because they are basically the same price. this would be my build if i would get the intel i5: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/sakgoy2001/saved/pTXZLk i understand that i would have to change things like the motherboard, but i want to know what would the actually performance differences be? should i wait for benchmarks to be released? as i would be making this PC after a couple of months

I'm trying to decide between the 1500x and 1600 for a new build I'm doing at the end of the summer. I'm going to want to stream/record League of Legends and CS:GO and play titles live GTA 5, Skyrim Remastered, DOOM, and the like. I would be overclocking both to the max the can comfortably run on the stock wraith spire cooler if that matters. I will also have a GTX 1060 3 GB or better graphics card with at least DDR4-2400 ram. I'm thinking the extra 2 cores will be more beneficial than the clock speed and I can't afford the 1600X.

What do you guys think about this build? Is it the best performance I can get for a $650 full setup? I know I could cheap out on the monitor, keyboard, and mouse, however this is about the minimum I can go for quality. If you're wondering, I live in the US. Also, I was going to add a hard drive and 8gb of ram a bit farther down the line. For the past 4 days I've been building 2 new Ryzen systems with my wife and we've hit a wall. Because the motherboard for my PC isn't arriving until Monday we decided to build hers now. We've tried looking for solutions on the internet for days and have not found anything. I've posted to Reddit and none of the suggestions provided by others have helped solved our issue. Bewlow is a list of parts that were used for the build. **CPU** | [AMD Ryzen 5 1500X 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor **Motherboard** | [MSI B350M GAMING PRO Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard] **Memory** | [Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory] **Storage** | [Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive] **Video Card** | [EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB SC GAMING Video Card] **Case** | [Deepcool TESSERACT SW ATX Mid Tower Case] **Power Supply** | [EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply] **Operating System** | [Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit] We installed a brand new Windows 10 and we noticed the PC acting very slow, while the wireless mouse was jumping all over the screen. Weird thing is that when we tried to use another set of wireless mice/keyboards, the same issue occurred, yet when I use the same wireless mouse/keyboards on our old computers they work just fine. Then we tried to use a wired mouse and keyboard, which finally worked. Videos such as anything from Youtube, Hulu, and Netflix are also loading slowly and sometimes are buffering at all. When we tried to install the motherboard driver the download crashed, after a 2nd attempt we were successful. We had no issue installing the GPU driver. So we thought the issue might be hardware related so we swapped her GPU, CPU, ram, PSU and ram with the parts intended for my computer (exact same parts) and the same issue persisted. Other details about our build; - Motherboard appears to be grounded correctly because we used the pegs provided to lift the motherboard off of the case - The PC is connected to the internet via a USB WiFi dongle, which was used in our previous build and worked fine for years - We have set the Windows power plan to "high performance"

I have a Ryzen 1500x on a MSi X370 Carbon board, CPU is being cooled by a h100i. CPUID is reporting the cpu is capable of running at 3.5ghx but max it runs at is 1.5ghz. Temps are about 37 degrees so its not thermal throttling. If anyone has any ideas of what to try or what the issue is please let me know. HWMonitor.txt

I am planning on building a PC this summer and the specs of it will be 8GB of RAM, RX 580 8GB, and the Ryzen 5 1500X. I was wondering how many fps I would get on games like Overwatch, Skyrim, and Ark Survival Evolved. I would also like to know the Cinebench and 3D mark scores. THANK YOU!

Up to what memory clock does Ryzen 5/7 support? I've been told that its only up to 2400MHz, but apparently it now supports up to 3600.

r5 1500x vs i5-7500. i was originally going to take the 7500 but i thought that i could easily oc the r5. current benchmarks show that the 7500 is still better but i might steam or video edit in the future and i can oc the r5 so isn't the r5 a better deal? and for the mobo should i get a Asus PRIME B350-PLUS or a ASRock AB350 Pro4

Hi, Guys Im new to the forum but i have been watching Linus for years now and have just only recently gathered the funds to finally build a gaming PC. The build is: CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 1500x CPU Cooler: Be Quite Drak Rock 3 Ram: Corsair LPX 2133mhz Graphics Card: Amd RX 480 Asus Strix 08G MOBO: Asus Prime B350 Plus Case: Phanteks P400 Case fans: 2 Phanteks fans that came with the case and one old coolermaster fan i had laying around thats hooked up to the Graphics card. Power Supply: Corsair RM 650X Storage: Cheapo 120 Gb Kingstone SSD for boot drive, And WD black 1Tb for Additional storage I'm Just curious what overclocks you Ryzen 5 Guys Achieved? I personally Just got 3.9GHZ Stable at 1.3562v and 63 degrees celsius on the CPU Package. i'm not sure if i should go any further though, i mean this CPU is 3.6-3.7ghz turbo like im just a little scared to push it further haha. Anyways let me know what Overclocks you guys have managed With this CPU

I have a build planned out in PCPartPicker here and I have a question on it. Is the 1050Ti good enough for the 1500x or should I shell out for the 1060? Also, I know the RGB ram and the RGB motherboard isn't necessary but I'd like some bling in my system since I will be upgrading my cooling & fans to NZXT Aer RGB's. Thanks for any replies!

I have a Ryzen 5 1500x and I can overclock it to 3.8Ghz 1.3v stable! But I can't overclock it to 3.9 - 4ghz, no matter the voltage it fails Aidax64 Extreme stability test. Things I have tried: - disabling D.O.C.P / XMP - clocking ram to 2133Mhz - maxing voltage at 1.425 PC Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/HNELITE/saved/4W8GXL

I regret buying a Ryzen 5 1500x since many forums suggest going for the 1600, I really don't know what I was thinking. Was it really a bad buy? Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/HNELITE/saved/4W8GXL I bought it about 2 months ago and I cant return it no more, I was gonna go for the 1600 but it was a pretty long drive to micro center from where I live and I didn't really have a ride then.

I was wondering what was the maximum temp for Ryzen 5 1500x before it becomes unstable So far I overclocked the 1500x at 3.8Ghz 1.3V with the stock cooler and get 42C idle and 65C at 100% load I want to achieve 3.9Ghz 1.35v but the temps go over 70C at 100% load Is that ok?

Hi Everyone. Im on my first diy desktop running the 1500x. idling temps have been on the high side of 40-50 and with gaming temps at high 60-70s (highest at 80.9 atm) Am i doing something wrong here? Ps. Kinda making me feel weird where the gpu (zotac 1060 amped) is consistently running cooler than the cpu even when gaming ( highest at 70.1 )

Can I run Aida 64 stress test overnight? Will it damage my hardware while I sleep? Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3n3ZNN

I have the 1500x and from what I've been hearing, the 1600 is better. I can go to Micro center and exchange it, but is it really worth the 45 min drive? Plus, can I just invest $100 in a liquid cooler or air cooler and overclock the 1500x at 4Ghz? Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3n3ZNN

Today I overclocked for the first time ever so if my questions seem stupid please dont insult me. I overclocked my Ryzen 5 1500x to 3.80GHz today [I know that you can OC this Chip to 4.0GHz or even 4.1GHz, but I have the cheapest B350 ATX Board (MSI B350 PC MATE) so I dont want to push this board over its limits]. I set the core clock to "38.00" and left the CPU Voltage on "Auto". After that I ran cinebench r15 and It got more points than a i7-4770k @4.4GHz (Yaaay!!) After that I ran the aida64 system stability test for about 1,5 hours and everything looks fine: Motherboard temperature shown by HWMonitor 55,0°C max and shown by aida64 37°C (I dont know which one gives me the right temperatures) CPU temperature on 100% load 43°C (63°C shown by HWMonitor minus the 20°C offset that Ryzen X cpu´s have) [Room temperature: 27°C] My first question is why my CPU temperature is so low because I was getting nearly the same temperatures with my CPU on stock and I dont have a fancy dancy watercooling system, I use an Artic Freezer 13 which only cost about 25€?! My second question is, why am I able to keep my CPU Voltage on "Auto". I watched some tutorials on how to overclock and everyone is upping the voltage to 1.3ish even 1.4ish while my chip runs at 1.275V max? My last question is why is HWMonitor and Windows task manager showing me a Core Clock permanently at 3,8GHz even though the CPU usage is at 1%-10%. Does that mean that my CPU is constantly sucking electricity out of my wall? Again I am sorry for my stupid questions but I hope someone answers them for me

hi guys my system now is i7 2600k ddr3 1333mhz ram gtx 960 2gb ssd samsung 1 tb hdd but i wan to make new fresh pc for high 1080p gaming but what is the best choice for gaming and why ? 1st build : i3 8100 , my own gtx 960 2gb , gigabyte z370 hd3 , 2x8 3000mhz ddr4 ram + my ssd and my hdd or second build 1500x r5 , 1050ti 4gb , msi b350 gaming pro , 2400 mhz ram ddr4 + my ssd and my hdd 1} i have something more questions : 2) who is the difference between for example 2400mhz or 3200mhz or 4000 .. 3)ALL cpu have a corresponding mhz for ram ? .for example 1500x work better with 2400 mhz or with 2666 or 3200 mhz and why ? 4)mhz of ram does matter on gaming ? 5)why userbench show 1st build winner ? ( look photo down) Thanks for your time guys .. <3 ( sorry for my english but i try )

I have a g4560 with a gtx 970 on a b350 board for my PC, but with some newer more cpu demanding games, the g4560 is starting to fall behind. Im also looking to get a high hz monitor (120,144 etc) for some games at 1080p. So essentially im looking to get a new cpu with a bit more power soon. Im looking to spend ~£200 (give or take 30) so For a while i was eyeing the r5 1500x and a b350 board for OC, but now the i5 8400 is here with 6 full cores and good single core too, but that would require a new motherboard too (i am willing to wait for cheaper ones tho). There is also the option of buying a used/new kaby/skylake cpu for £100-200 without needing a new motherboard, such as a used 6500 for £110 https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SCPUINTI56500KA for less performance but cheaper. Opinions?

Last night I rough s overclocking my r5 1500x, after working through some problems, I set to to 3.7 ghz and called it a night. At 3.7 ghz It had a 65% on userbenchmarks. Today I decided to push it a bit further because I seemed to have the thermal capability to do so. I went to the BIOS and set it to 3.85 ghz. While I did that I noticed my motherboard was automatically over-volting too, which I didn't like. I had had no signs of system instability during my stress test, so I set the voltage to the same level it had been at before I entered the overclock. My stress test at 3,85 ghz went perfectly well, so when I ran UBM again THIS completely surprised me... http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/4894725 Performign worse than 99% of other 1500x... Can anybody help me figure out why? A few extra notes: task manager shows it at what should be the correct 3.85 GHz, so it seems like my BIOS IS changing the clock speed like it should... I had a similar issue last night, except task manager never changed what it showed as the clock speed from 3.5 (the base clock speed) My MOBO is a b350 Tomahawk from MSI, missed this in the OP but ill add it now, oops! Any help is appreciated! Edit: further testing: It got a 297 on Cinebench at 3.85 GHz, Then I went to BIOS and reset everything to default, which gave me a 784 in Cinebench, and a 77% On UBM- www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/4895543 -. So its nothing wrong with UBM, its either hardware or user error, but I have no Idea what is wrong...

I have money to buy a new motherboard/cpu combo and was wondering if i should get an r5 1500x and a x370 motherboard or a r5 1600 and a b350 motherboard (parts list for current setup in signature)
