Hello community, just a quick couple of questions: I want to improve the temps of my H440 by changing the default fans, planning on getting 1xCorsair AF140 (Back/Exhaust) 3xCorsair SP120 (Front/Intake) and 3xCorsair SP120, two of them will be used on H110i V2 Radiator (Top/Exhaust), so, my questions are: 1. Are SP fans better on this particular case? I've read that on a couple of forums. 2. At this moment, the first slot on top of the case is empty, It would be a good idea if I go 3x120mm on top? Or it would create a "battle" between the first fan on top and the top fan on front? Currently I'm using the "card trick" on that slot (saw that on Reddit, supposedly it helps with airflow, not sure about it tho) Check the image link here Thanks for your answers!

I'm Looking to do a build in the 'Dark Base Pro 900 Case' with an Asus ROG Maximus X Hero z370 Motherboard, but I'm confused on how the case fans will be controlled. The case has a PWM fan hub, does this mean that all fans connected to this hub will spin at the same speed as each other and all react to temps the same? Or do I get to control individual fans? e.g. a few fans only start when the system gets to a certain temp while other fans are reacting to CPU temps? Or does this fan hub get controlled by the BIOs and does this give me control over individual fans? Thanks in advance

So I have a question involving my upgrade to a new case. I have got a pack of 3 Thermaltake Riings (140mm) with the included controller and also got an Arctic Liquid Freezer 360 to house in my not yet arrived Fractal Design Define S (windowed) . I planed to do a push-pull setup in the front and mount the 3 Riings in the top to exhaust, but today I have noticed that the Riings need a pwm signal to light up. So I have to connect both the Riings and the 6 fans from the aio to my single cpu/pwm fan header to make full use of them. But if i use a splitter for pwm this would not work properly because the fans got different max rpms (Riing: 400-1000 or 800-1500 and Aio fans: up to 1350). I really want to use the leds in the Riings but i don`t know how to realize all of that with only one pwm header. Or would it work ? please leave suggestions and ideas how to do this Thank you

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a Phanteks Evolv X and looking for 6 140mm fans to put in the case (1 Rear, 3 Front, 2 Top with a 280mm rad). Noctua's have been insanely well regarded for a long time but it seems recently the competition has stepped up significantly. I don't care about LEDs or RGB. I'd like relatively quiet (doesn't have to be silent) fans with a good PWM range. Some of the current fans I'm looking at with their pricing in my location are: Corsair ML140 2-Pack ($45/$22.50 ea) Corsair ML140 PRO ($35) Noctua 140mm range from $38-$45 ea depending on model be quiet! Silent Wings 3 ($29) Happy to consider all options!

I am reviving this thread because 200mm vs 2x140mm is still a relevant topic and previous points are still valid. I have an Enthoo Evolv ITX case with a Cryorig H7 cooler and the original 200mm case fan. I have modified the front panel by drilling 35 half inch holes. But, I'm still not happy with the airflow. The max CPU temps are 6 C lower with the side panel off, so I know the cooler can perform better, which is why I'm considering trying 2 140s. How are members coming to the conclusion that 2 140s would provide better cooling? My thinking is that higher quality fans could push more air due to higher pressure, but I don't know. Mathematically, the area of a 200mm circle is slightly larger than the area of 2 140mm circles. A ≈ 31415.93 vs A ≈ 15393.8 x 2 Has anyone actually tested 200mm vs 2 140s?

Hello! I'm looking for an affordable 140 mm "all in one" water cooler. I've got double Xeon CPU's and would like to get two separate 140 mm AIO water coolers & mount them on top of my corsair 750D case. I wouldn't want to spend more than 70-80$ per unit. I know there are some cheap ones out there, it's just that they feel a bit sketchy when you look at the build quality. I'm a bit scared about the leaks. Suggestions?

Hello, I have had issues with horizontal mounting on my top exhausts and bottom intakes, I was wondering if there was a fan which could last at least 4 years 24/7 without going out. I have tried it with my hydrodynamic and other types of modified sleeves, but none of those seemed to and had to be set vertical to get rid of the squeak they developed. I found that arctic cooling made some cheaper ball bearing fans at 10 usd a piece. I was wondering if anyone had experience with them or knew some other fans that would last at least 4 years under 24 hour daily use. Hey, So I have the Phanteks P400 tempered glass case with a full mid ranged AMD build ( 1600, RX 580 etc ) inside. I have already added 2 extra case fans and I know it really does not "need" anymore but I would like to see if anyone has installed 3 - 120mm fans in the front of this case and if so l would like to see what it looks like if possible? This is more for the appearance and help maintain a positive air flow to prevent dust coming in. I am under the assumption that the lower drive cage / cover would have to be removed hence why I wanted to see what it looked like before ordering a couple more fans to fill the remaining spots. Any help or links to photos etc is much appreciated. Thanks! TZ

Yo guys, I recently bought a new pc, and got every part on pcpartpicker, but when i realised i need more horsepower, i went with kraken x41 instead of kraken x31, and i realised it may not fit in the case. Which it did not. I got on pcpartpicker, got my case (Corsair Spec alpha) and paired it with kraken x41. its not compatible. What should i do? I cant cancel the order, i was thinking what if i'd drilled some holes into the case which then will fit. Would that work? Need help who had the same problem P.S. Im scared to the shit mate

So I am going to build a pretty powerful system in the Phanteks EVOLV ITX cause and it comes with a 200mm fan which is FANtastic but I don't know if it will be enough to cool all my components as good as I want them to be. Build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TLFxcc So my question is, in this case will replacing the 200mm fan with two 140mm fans be better than just leaving the 200mm? Any comments, advice, or critique is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey guys, some news ! Corsair release their new ML series fans Corsair has released their new ML series fans which feature replaceable coloured corners and full PWM control. These fans will be available in Red, blue and white LEC versions as well as an all black or a gray and black design. Corsair's new ML Pro fans use Magnetic Levitation (ML) technology in order to minimise motor noise and provide both great static pressure and high airflow with a lower noise output, effectively combining their previous AF and SP series fans into a single quieter product. These new fans will be PWM controlled to speeds of up to 2,000 RPM, allowing them to deliver high performance and low noise levels. Corsair's ML fans will also be available in 120mm and 140mm models and feature colour coordinated corners for their LED model fans. The replaceable corners for these fans will be available to purchase separately, though the LED versions of these fans will come with matching coloured corners. Right now these fans are available to order at select retailers for the price of £18.95 for a single 120mm LED fan and £21.95 for a single LED 140mm fan. Dual packs for the plain non-led 120mm and 140mm fans are available for £21.95 and £24.95 respectively. ML = Magnetic Levitation hehe REQUEST TO LMG/LTT FOR A VIDEO ! ML fans vs SP and AF Full case with two in front one in back 2 on top and also push pull config sound levels and temp levels test please ! is this even worth it and how much will we gain! Thanks! Can I fit dual 140mm fans in the front of Phanteks EVOLV ITX case and also have the 3.5" drive bays installed at the same time? I see a bunch of builds on pcpartpicker that have dual 140mm fans but they never take pictures of the side of the case. The preinstalled 200m seems to be straying into the same place a 140mm fan would be in the bottom but I want to be sure before I buy it. Anybody own this case and can clarify this for me?

so, i want to watercool my rig, the case is the Aerocool xpredator br edition, and by the images i can't know if supports 280 or 240 rads, if it does, should i put 2 120/140mm radiators or a 1 240/280mm radiator?

So these have been released very recently, the big brother to the much loved 120mm e-loop fans from BlackNoise. With unique German engineering, these fans not only look awesome, but also are very quiet with decent airflow and static pressure. The white colour scheme also fits any white themed build perfectly. I personally own three B12-PS PWM 120mm versions and they are excellent. The new 140mm version matches the 120mm version while bringing similar or better performance at lower noise levels (due to the larger size). I have attached some images of the data sheet because I can't link PDF Product page: http://www.blacknoise.com/site/en/products/noiseblocker-it-fans/nb-eloop-series/140x140x29mm.php Where to buy: http://www.amazon.de/Noiseblocker-NB-eLoop-Fan-B14-1-140mm/dp/B0149M7ZGG http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noiseblocker-ITR-B14-PS-NB-eLoop-B14-PS-140mm/dp/B0149M97NU http://www.amazon.co.uk/Noiseblocker-ITR-B14-3-NB-eLoop-B14-3-140mm/dp/B0149MBB16 http://www.coolerkit.com/shop/nb-eloop-b14-ps-6218p.html Soon coming to america Expected retail price: $25-35 each

So I'm getting 2 Corsair SP120s to replace the stock fans on my H100i Which ones should I choose for the best ceiling rad exhaust fan? (I plan to connect them to an NZXT touchscreen fan controller & MSI Z97-G45 mobo for software temps too if possible) AF120 Performance AF120 Quiet SP120 PWM Performance SP120 PWM Quiet SP120 Performance SP120 Quiet Here's the Amazon link for the specs of each choice: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00C249QNE (Also: Does PWM matter?) My fan knowledge is still a bit limited so any help is greatly appreciated. Edit: All fans for Enthoo Luxe build: -2 front intakes (Noctua NF-S12A x2) -2 rad ceiling exhausts (Corsair SP120 x2) -1 front low rpm ceiling exhaust (Luxe Stock 140 x1) moved forward to make room for the H100i Rad -1 rear exhaust (Luxe Stock 140 x1) I realise that seems like a lot of negative pressure, but I'll be keeping the extra front ceiling fan at the lowest rpm if I do end up keeping it up there. May even test it out on the bottom behind the HDD cage as a low rpm intake. So 2/2.5 intakes 3/3.5 exhausts.

My case is an nzxt h440 with all stock fans i have a 2 x 120 mm corsair h100i rad on top with 2 stock fans Should i upgrade will it be beneficial any fan suggestion

Some 140mm fans are cornerless and have 120mm mounting holes; http://www.amazon.com/Prolimatech-Ultra-Sleek-Vortex-Mounting/dp/B00B1WQ4VA/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_8 I'm wondering if there is a converter to a 140mm mount.

I am planning my first build and was a little worried about fitting the fans I want into my case. Ideally, I want to mount 2 120mm fans in the back and top my my case. Mount the 120 radiator for my Corsair H50 in the top front slot, with a 140 fan beneath it. Does anyone know if you can fit a 140mm fan in the bottom front slot of an NZXT S340 with an 120mm AIO radiator in the slot above it? The slots do support dual 120 and 140 radiators.

Cant seem to get enough cold air to my GPU's. I have 2x 140mm @ the front and 1x 120mm on the bottom as intakes. Then 2x 140mm @ the top going though a H110 and 1x 120mm at the back all as exhaust. I had everything out of the case for test and found putting a 120mm fan behind the GPU's (In sort of a front of case position) the GPU 1 would run around 72C @ 50% fan speed. Now all i can get in the case on GPU 1 is shown in the screen shot. 75 @ 62% fan speed. Im using Corsair AF fans cos a really like the lighting i provides but im not sure on there performance. Everything is in a 450D (No alternative so dont suggest and other cases) I just switched to a 450D and Sabertooth z97 for better spacing between GPU's since i was using a Grpyon z87 and 350D. Compared to that everything is better. In the 350D GPU 1 would be 80C @ 75-80 % fan speed which is very noisy. Should i be seeing better than this ^ Also after around 10mins of idle the both GPUs settle around 40C @ 0% fan speed and overall pretty quiet.
