Hello, I have a question that I want to know. Which is better when it comes to cooling, 3 120mm fans or 2 140mm fans? On the website for the case I have one of the sides support up to either 3 120’s or 2 140’s (the case I have is the MSI MPG Velox 100R if that info is useful) the fans I am planning on using is the Noctua A12x25 fan as my 120mm fans and the Noctua A14 fans as my 140mm fans if that is of any help. What is better at cooling the 3 A12x25’s or 2 A14’s?

I have a fractal north air case with a glass panel. I have 3 lian LI uni V2 sl120 fans in the top (intake) 1 in the back(exhaust) and 2 140 mm fans in the front for intake (they came with the case) I'm also using a noctua Nh-u9s for my cpu. is that a good fansetup or should I change some things around? (I really want it to look good)

Budget (including currency): ~$300 for 9 120mm fans + ~$50 for a controller (was planning to purchase the Corsair Commander Pro). Country: Europe Hey guys. Looking to purchase 9 premium, 120mm quiet, RGB fans for my custom Lian Li PC-O11-Dynamic build. I was (and still am) originally looking at Corsair's LL and QL series of fans, but I like the look of the LL's a bit more, due to their rectangular housing, which I prefer over the QL's (I know QL fans have more LED's). MAIN QUESTION: Are there any alternatives worth looking at? The main build: CPU: 5900X Cooler: Arctic LF II 360 Motherboard: ROG X570 Strix-E Memory: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3600 GPU: waiting for the potential release of the RTX 3080 Ti, and for anyone asking - no I don't mind the wait, even with my components waiting quietly in storage at the moment Storage: 970 EVO Plus 2TB PSU: Corsair RM1000x

I was thinking about getting a Phanteks Sk-120mm for my rear exhaust because I wanted to match the 3 front intake fans that came with my P400a-digital. But I was wondering if they are good. I know there are better options RGB or not at the price point and that's what I'm nervous about. I don't know if it would be a better idea to get the matching one or to get a different brand but have the RGB not matching. Or even getting a 5 pack of different fans to be my exhaust and replace the ones the case came with. Thanks,

Greetings Community I have a bad Lian Li 120mm fan that came with my Lian Li Lancool II. I am looking to replace it with the most cost effective option possible. I have considered going with something from Noctua but I was unsure if it is the best bang for my buck at the moment. I would like something with good airflow, NO RGB (due too the possible interference with the case RGB strips), decently low volume, and definitely under $20. An all black or grey fan is preferred. If something can be found around $10 that would be great. I also would like something with good longevity. A fan I was looking at was the Noctua NF-S12A PWM: https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-redux-1700-high-Performance-Award-Winning-Affordable/dp/B07CG2PGY6 A fan I would prefer but at a cheaper price would be the Noctua NF-F12 PWM chromax.Black.swap: https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-F12-chromax-Black-swap-Premium-Grade-Quiet/dp/B07654PNFQ

I've got new fans recently but noticed my motherboard the Asus z270e doesn't have an ADD Header but the fans uses the header. 3 pins it is and the motherboard used the rgb header. The fans I bought are the Be Quiet Light Wings 120mm PWM high-speed and they come with a ARGB hub but it doesn't connect to the pc for it uses SATA (I have spare connection) and then the RGB in connects straight back to the ARGB header. No use what so ever. Fans all connect to my fan controller but that fan controller of course doesn't have any part to allow it to connect to the Hub. The fans do turn on and are adjusting it's fan speed like I wanted it but the kicker is no lights... Im thinking maybe a PCIE or hub but I seem to can't find any answers that explain what it is I need for me to get it working. If someone can send me links (UK) to the part I need to get the lights working, much appreciated (Excuse the cable management as its a shite case for cable management and not much I can do)

hi, i've tried everything from unplugging USB and reconnecting them (it did worked for a day, then next day after turning the PC back on, the application doesn't work anymore), and i've tried uninstalling the LIAN LI USB from device manager and the L-Connect and reinstalling them as administrator (didn't work). if you guys know how to fix this issue, please let me know; this is very annoying. Should I get the lian li uni 120mm fans or the Corsair LL? They’re just about the same price more or less.
-
I just want to know which would be better to show off my new build. (in the Lian Li o11 mini BTW) I suck a cable management, which is why I am considering the UNI's. Also, the build is in white and the fans must be 120MM, so take that into consideration if any other fans may be an option. Any help is much appreciated!

Hello and thank you for your help! I've been having a problem screwing in my side panel since I've installed my 120mm rad at the exit of the case... I accidentally screw into the rad housing, and I'm worried of a potential leak? What should I do? Including photos!

I recently bought the matrexx 70 and I was wondering what was the best configuration of the fans to have the best airflow possible. The box has several places for fans, 3 in front, 3 above, 1 behind and 2 below towards the front. (attached image)(PS: the components on image are only as a model, my configuration is written if you need) I have 6 deepcool rgb cf120 fans and and 2 others normal 120mm fan if necessary. However I must consider my 120mm h60 corsair aio and find it the best place for efficiency.Would a push-pull configuration be better for my aio? CONFIG(if necessary): CPU: Intel Core i5 @ 2.90GHz RAM: 16,0 Go Dual-Channel Unknown @ 3200mhz Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z370P D3-CF (U3E1) GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti (Gigabyte) (WINDFORCE 2 FANS) Storage: 238GB Samsung SSD 860 PRO 256GB (SATA (SSD)) 1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1ER164 (SATA ) Thank you, I await your recommendation

While I wait to get a deal for a NH-D14, I wanted to see where I can mount my rad for best cooled temps. It is a Asetek generic 120mm rad that my prebuilt gave me from my dad's purchase for a 9900K but I really don't like high temps from the rear at turbo (70 C idle when GPU folding by the heat in the case). I watched Bitwit's radiator mounting video and it appears front gives better cooling and not much difference on GPU so I want to mount it there but on the LTT Discird they keep telling me to put back on the rear. Here are before and after of it. I don't want to OC it but have cooler temps when Idle doing folding and such.

I am new to these, so i might have posted in the wrong topic. I am learning. I am going to be over clocking a i9-10900K to 6 ghz and I am curious to wonder what case can hold the most 120mm fans. If I posted in the wrong topic, note that I am new to this and I will try to do my best.

Hi all! So a friend from college recently offered to send me a single LL120 fan, obviously this would mean I would not have a lighting node or a controller. I know the fans have a 4 pin PWM cable and also a propriatary RGB header. My question is whether I can use the fan by simply plugging the 4pin into the motherboard and leaving the RGB header unplugged? I couldn't work out whether this would mean the fan wouldn't work at all, would work but with no LED, or would work with LED but just on whatever the default lighting setting is since I can't control it. I am not too fussed either way since the RGB doesn't interest me too much. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, I have a radiator which is 2x120mm (what I mean is 2x120mm fans next to each other), but my top side of the case (Cosmos 1000) is setup for 2x140mm (with also 120mm holes), which means I can only partially anchor it (as you can imagine given the 120mm spaces are inside the 140mm, there is a gap of 2 cm between the two 120mm slots), Of course this means that when both 120mm fans spin at top speed, it does vibrate a bit. Is there any adaptor which would let me attach 2x140mm and provide holes for contiguous 2x120mm? What would you do? Thanks!

Hey i need some advice on cooling fans, i got a good idea on the process for just case cooling but with pushing enough pressure on rads is what confuses me to no end. So im asking LTT forum for advice on what fans i should go with or recommend me with better fans then i was thinking about currently. So i have 1x 120MM that is about 1" thick attached to my AIO GTX 1080 Water Cooling Solution, Stock fan is total %#@# tbh think its cheapo with EVGA sticker. and i have 1x 360MM AIO from Deep Cool, its the Captain black and red, [ will post link ] the stock fans on this are good but get very loud and only at full speed of 1800/2000rpm do they provide the best cooling in the Australian summer and since im a noise freak it kinda sends me insane when i hear it over game-play recordings or even on game sound via my ad700x from ATH. So i basically need help choosing the best solution for a 120MM and 360MM rad both about 1" thick, Totaling 4 fans or 8 fans if push/pull is best option. I have a decent deepcool PWM fan designed for watercooling (fully square, very nice) I know Noctua is pretty much the best but I'd need to spend $30(fan) + $10(white bits) so about $50 with taxes and shipping Any good alternatives with either NO leds or RGB?

On my case that I am using for my current PC I wan't to get the most optimal airflow and when consulting my motherboard to see what sizes it supports I found that the rear exhaust can have a 140mm and the front can have 2 140mm and that what I plan to get but I found that the top supports up to 3 120mm or 2 140mm and sound does not bother me I just want to know whats best because I know larger fans can be much more efficient so idk really know whats better

I have a question. As you can see, i have 2 top mounted 120 mm fans. Question is, is it better to mount the front-most fan as intake? I get it, hot air goes up, but when the fan is oriented as exhaust, i was thinking my cpu cooler is getting deprived by air as it goes to the exhaust front top fan instead. so i mounted it as intake. Also, as the front fans is filtered and push less air, I thought mounting it as exhaust makes my set-up create negative pressure.Any suggestions? i have 3 120 intake fans in the front, 2 120 exhaust in the rear and rear-top plus the in question top 120 fan.

basically im planing on getting a 360 and a 120 rad to cool whatever GPU and my I7 4790K(will be OCd to 4.8GHz atleast, might go for 5GHz) so i need a case to keep those rads in, i dont really know what to get but im a cheap ass so tell me whatever the cheapest not shit case is that i can put that in, motherboard is ATX and i need one 5.25" bay and space for 3 HDDs and an SSD. i know basically nothing about cases so thats kinda why im asking lol tl;dr: need a case that has: 1x5.25" bay 3x3.5" mounts 1x2.5" mount needs to fit an ATX board 360mm rad mount 120mm rad mount cheaper = better almost always thanks for helping someone thats clueless about the case market beyonf loving the define C lol

Hello i am looking for 3 case fans, i am thinking about 2x140mm front and 1x120mm rear with 4 pin connector. I was looking into http://www.deepcool.com/product/dcoolingaccessory/casefan/2013-12/47_642.shtml This is 140mm fan with 120mm mounting holes so probably i would go with 3 of them. My MB have 3 fan connectors, 1 CPU and 2Chasis, i am using Y fan splliter from 1chases fan header. Iam also thinkig about this one https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835856012 also 4pin but 120mm. Case comes with 3 Fans 2x120mm and 1x140mm http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/casefans/dynamic-x2-gp-14 All of them are 3pin. Maybe you guys have any other suggestion? pocket friendly~10$ would be max
