Hello! So I'm looking to have a dual monitor setup and since my gtx 1050ti only has two ports on it that i'll use (don't wanna go with vga), I want to know if it would work to use displayport for one and hdmi for the other? Also if other options like a displayport to hdmi cable or an hdmi splitter would be better options than different kinds of ports being used? I don't think there would be any problems but... I'm completely new to this and want to know before I buy my second monitor.

Hello There, I recently purchased LG ultragear 24GN65R, but when I connect it to my pc, it says "no signal detected". I tried both Display port and HDMI port, I even tried another HDMI cable to see if cable is damaged, but none of them worked. My gpu is 1050 ti. My old monitor works perfectly but it is connected via Dvi port. Perhaps problem is my gpu ports? I tried to connect my old monitor with HDMI instead of DVi and it didn't work. Any ideas?

Hi, I have Lenovo ThinkCentre M720s with 180W power supply. Specs: - i5-9400 - 24GB of RAM - 2TB HDD I was wondering, is it still possible to add a GPU (MSI GTX 1050 TI 4GT LP LOW PROFILE) to this setup without having to upgrade PSU? I see that this GPU power consumption is 75W on the website, but the recommended says "300W" https://uk.msi.com/Graphics-Card/GeForce-GTX-1050-Ti-4GT-LP/Specification

Hey everyone ,hope you are all good . I ran into a bummer this weekend after I installed Cyberpunk 2077 , so I installed the game and at the first boot it crashed to desktop no errors no nothing , then I tried again this time I saw the cdprojekt red logo and then BsoD with video_tdr_failure it restarted tried again and the same ,so i uninstalled the game . After i uninstalled i tried other games to see if they work, none work ,they start a can see the writing at startup , i go to the menu but when it has to render something 3d it crashes 2 desktop most of them with no error or with failed do get 3d device or something like that but i tried benchmarking with heaven and it worked it gave a 46 FPS score with most settings set to high Then i started troubleshooting , i reinstalled drivers for both gpu's Nvidia and Intel ,rolled back, searched for corrupted files , malware scan ,virus scan , memory scan , reinstalled directX nothing worked ..same thing CTD or BSoD, so i got desperate , I reinstalled windows with format to the ssd which it's on, reinstalled all the drivers , tried a game boom CTD. i tried other benchmarking programs 3dMark demo .. out of 3 possible benchmarks only one works (Night Raid for home pc's with a score of 19000) the other 2 don't work , Superposition does not work and furmark score 2522. The temperatures are ok nothing over 80 C Please help. i can't afford to buy a new laptop or PC ,can i do anything else to test the gpu ? And i found this reddit tread that kind of confirms my fears but who knows Device : Asus Rog GL753VE Laptop CPU : Intel Core I7-7700HQ 2.80GHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050ti 4gb Ram: 16Gb HDD : 250 Gb SSD (OS) 500 Gb SSD 1 Tb HDD

So, i have a strange problem, i say strange cuz i have no idea what could cause it and also the fact that i cant see anyone with the same problem on the internet no matter how hard i look. So, i just build my on pc, here are the specs : -CPU:Ryzen 5 3600X -MOTHER BOAR Gigabyte b450m ds3h -8GB DDR4 RAM -HAR Kingston A400 240GB ssd -NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050 TI So, i got all those together, from my knwoledge all these componets should work fine together. I install my windows, and all its fine and well except the fact that the displayed resolution of my monitor is very low, but besides this all works fine. At first i installed my wifi adapter driver and started browsing the internet for a second, then the screen turned black, restarded, it shows the windows logo for like two seconds and then it turns black again. I was thinking that maybe it was some strange problem with the instalation so i reinstalled windows. Same steps, same problem, after i install the wifi adapter driver it takes like 1-3 mins until it goes black. Ok, maybe its the driver. Reinstalled the windows again, started with the GPU driver this time, same thing, but this time it goes black during the instalation of the driver. Reinstalled windows again, same thing. On my next try i get some programs and start installing them, like honeyview and winrar. I installed them and all went well. Watched some videos from a stick, all went well again. Procedeed again with driver instalation, and again, black. I managed to enter safemode with networking but it actually had no networking working. Anyway, the pc can see all the components, the SSD, GPU, CPU all of them, and in safe mode it even told me that the GPU driver and the wifi drivers are installed. So i did another test, reinstalled windows, installed the wifi driver fast and got in time to Netflix before the black screen thing happened. As i assumed, while the screen is black the sound still goes on in the background, the player runs. I tried pluggin and unplugging my GPU and RAM, of course reinstalled windows many times, tried to use the windows troubleshooter, nothing worked. Maybe its worth mentioning that this CPU has no graphic chip at all, so its all on the GPU to display anything and the fact that the my monitor is kinda old. If anyone has any idea, i would deeply apreciate any advice. Later on i will try to start installing a diffrent driver, and i will update this. It also works in safe mode and my pc can see the components. p.s its windows 10 home 64 bit/ Sorry for the long post. Another thing, i tried installing Linux Ubuntu, the instalation works fine but then it just does not boot, or at least its not displayed.

Hello. During Apex Legends matches, game freezes and everything is frozen for about a second, and then resumes normal frames momentarily, then freezes again, then normal, rapidly. It will stay normal for a while (few minutes, depends), and then do the freezing stuttering thing again. It looks identical to this Redditor's problem: Link This is what the gpu activity looks like during the stutter/freezing episodes: Link Otherwise, the GPU usage hangs out at 90-100% in-game. Specs: MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI Ryzen 5 5600x Asus Strix GTX 1050ti (temporary until gpu prices chill) Corsair Vengeance Pro SL 16gb 3200mhz (via 1-click xmp) RAM Game installed on 2TB Samsung Evo Plus NVMe SSD Corsair RM750 PSU Primary Monitor: Dell S2719DGF (144hz, 1440p desktop, 1080p in-game, DP) Secondary Monitor: Viewsonic VX2480-2K-SHD (75hz, 1440p desktop, HDMI) We have tried: - Disabling fullscreen optimization - Turning down different settings - Uncapping fps via launch parameter - Restarting the game/pc - Verifying game cache via Steam - Tweaking Nvidia control panel settings, including setting gpu to Performance power mode Notes: - No overheating of any component is going on - No other strange cpu/ram/ssd behavior via task manager - Latest gpu driver installed - PC is newly built, all parts except GPU brand new. (The GPU was used for a short time before in a different PC, and it worked perfectly so I don't think this is the problem) - No overclock on CPU or GPU - Only Apex does this. Tested on Deep Rock Galactic, Osu, Hollow Knight, and Borderlands 3. Any more recommendations, solutions, are appreciated. Thank you LTT people.

So i just got a laptop that has an i7 7700hq and a 1050ti and 16gb of ram. Im starting my firstgames and im kinda dissapointed (i know that the specs arent the best or well even good to be honest but im a poor army boi let me be. ). I started looking around that why my frames in game werent so good and i realised all my hardware is running about 70%(my cpu and gpu). i wonder why is this. If i wathc benchmark videos of this combo the hardware performs atleast like 90-100% and the performance is much better. Have i got bad hardware or is it a fixable thing with some tinkering. if it is fixable plz help. also what monitoring tools should i use.

I have a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050ti. When a HDMI cable is connected to it the GPU fan starts spinning despite the PC itself being still shut down. Also following shutting the PC down it just remains on until I remove the HDMI cable. If anyone can understand this...is this a genuine issue or is it fixable by myself?

I have been facing this issue since 2-3 weeks. Sometimes my system does not detect the GPU(1050ti), when that happens sometimes the GPU fans work but there is no display output. I have to restart my PC several time to get the GPU to display. I am not sure what is causing the issue because everything in my system is same and nothing has been changed recently. When I plug another GPU(GT 710) it works completely fine and it gets detected instantly. I have already tried reinstalling the drivers, but as the GPU(1050ti) is not being not being recognized most of the time in Device Manager or BIOS, I am not able to do anything else. I have checked the GPU(1050ti) in my friends PC and it started the couple of times, but when we tried to start the system again after letting the GPU cool down it gave the same issue, no output from the GPU and it was not being detected in Device Manager. **Note : When it does get recognized, it works fine, there is no overheating or frame drops, everything work as expected. Here is the system details: Intel i5 11600k Asus Prime H510-E Motherboard HyperX Fury 8GB DDR4 3200Mhz(x2) WD Green 240GB SSD Toshiba 1TB HDD Antec 550W PSU 80+ Bronze I have found a similar thread on Nvidia and Gigabyte forum of people facing the same issue. Here are the links for your reference Nvidia : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/392932/my-gpu-wont-boot-sometimes/ Gigabyte : https://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/9357/light-mins-hours-after-shutdown I hope this was enough information, please let me know if I need to share anything else.

Budget (including currency): $600 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Casual Gaming, blender, unity, video editing I am planning to build a pc right now for game development, but ofcourse, I am on a tight budget. And I just came to know that the A320 motherboard I was considering has only the PCIe gen 3.0 x4 slot, whereas the 1050ti I was about to buy (the best I can afford) supports a gen 3.0 X16 slot. I wanted to know if there are any negative effects if I install the 1050ti on the X16 slot. Thanks for any help.

Hi My MSI 1050ti gaming X has a problem. The one fan got stuck because of lack of oil it was hard to turn since it broke the second fan goes to max speed from the start and I cant control it. I oiled the fan and now it can spin but I think the motor burned out already . I ordered new fans I hope it helps. Is it a safety feature of the GPU or did the control brake. Please help

So i bought msi gt750ti in around 2016-2017, it worked very well with my fx 6300 up untill few months when i got my first burned 4pin cpu connector on motherboard, luckily motherboard was under warranty so got it repaired, next thing that got issue was 24pin connector, it was burned but this time, i bought new motherboard and psu wires were replaced by service center (psu was circle 450w) after few months it was my 750ti, it started to crash in solid color (dark blue, red, green, navy blue) then one day it completely stopped working as it was under warranty, i sended it to service center but they told me that it was not repairable and gave me credit note. Then i bought new motherboard and new gpu (1050ti) cpu and ram were same (fx 6300 along with 8gb of local vendor ram). Then in june~august 2019 my 1050ti gave me issues, so sent it and got replaced, bought new psu too (corsair vs550 80+white) and bought a new ups for only PC, then it was rainy season here and one fine day i started my air conditioner and smelled burning so i called technician next day and as soon as he switched on the AC and there was short circuit in AC motor, my screen went blank and yet again 1050 ti somehow died along with the tv it was connected to ( i diagnosed that it was because of power strip not being connected to earth wire at the time) Ups was working when this happened and pc was also running but gpu had no fan spin and tv didn't had display as it also got burn on hdmi port on pcb. Again sent 1050ti got replacement, bought new TV and a heavy duty surge protector with ground, now in between this 1050ti lost a capacitor/resistor or some diod of some kind, took it for repair and the guy instantly fixed the issue. So basically 3 times 1050 ti was already replaced and repaired Now wait it does 4th time too ha! In Feb 2021, i got a BSOD and had to manually shut and start pc, upon starting i heard beep from speaker and came to know that it was due to ram so i removed 1 stick and tried to boot and it did so i then cleaned surface of ram and reinstalled it and thats when 1050ti stopped spinning fan and didn't gave output. I heard beep of boot screen so i knew something was wrong with 1050ti itself, so i tested without gpu and with spare gt210 and it booted with screen both time. Now to current situation: i start pc normally, use it for sometime then it crashes randomly while on excel sheet or while gaming or just on desktop, it then restarts and i can hear speaker making boot beep but there is no signal, so i tried to connect tv to motherboard and was able to see display. (This is all while my 1050ti was connected and having spinning fan) So next step i did was reseat gpu, nope didn't work, next i tried to reseat 24pin, got into bios and it crashed. Tried gt210, it did same thing few times, but after few tries it started to give display and was no longer crashing. Again reseated 24pin and put 1050ti It worked, stressed gpu using msi kombustor, gpuz render test, unigine heaven and benchmark mode as well as story mode in assassins creed Valhalla, it didn't crash, so started fortnite, after 2-3 matches it crashed, again repeated same steps, it crashed on windows loading part, after repeating reseating 24pin and gpu, it worked again, this time it worked for whole week then after 6 days it started crashing, repeated same it worked. Now my psu is corsair vs550 so i know it can handle 1050ti easily but yup i am out of answers So please someone help me diagnose issue. This issue is blowing my mind now. I have already invested heavily on this rig Since 2016 i have had replaced motherboard, gpu, ram, psu and bought ups too in 2019. I think it is because of motherboard but i am not sure and due to covid, service center is not open so i cannot take it there to get tested. I want to buy new ryzen 3600/i5 10400 along with new motherboard and ram but i first want to diagnose this issue and be absolutely sure. Specs: Gpu: Gigabyte 1050ti 4gb (bought in 2018) Psu: corsair vs550 (bought in 2018) Ram: 8gb hyperx 1866mhz Cpu: amd fx6300 Mobo: gigabyte 78lmt s2 r2 (bought in 2018) Sorry if there is any mistakes in typing, i have written all this on pastebin and tweeted it to jayztwocents and linus and Anthony, upon which Anthony has replied to me: " After those steps, my gut says CPU/RAM; I've found FX CPUs' IMCs degrade over time. Try a BIOS reset and upping CPU NB and DDR3 voltages slightly (start with ~0.05-0.1V). Leave RAM speed at default. Disclaimer: This will degrade it faster. There's no fix if this is the issue. "

So, my 1050ti is probably dead, i think. What would be the problem if it shows an blank screen? Tried it on other pc's and still the same problem, can i get some help, i don't want to hear some things like is the monitor set on dvi, it's all set like it should but in this crisis i would like to repair this poor 1050ti Specs : R5 1600 16 gb ram Asus prime a320m k

I have a stupid question but...can i play CoD Warzone on laptop with 1050Ti, i5 8300h and 16GB Ram.

so i got a gtx 1050 ti like a year ago and it was great, so a month ago my power supply burned making a buzzing sound, when i took it to the pc repairman told me that the power supply was burned and then bought a new one from him, the next day when we picked it up he told us that the graphics card burned but it didn't look "phisically burned", so my mom is trying to use the warranty that came with the graphicsa card but i want to know if it's possible to repair it or make a good excuse so i can actually get a new one. help!

I posted this to the PSU section also, hopefully it's not against the rules to post here also - TLDR at the bottom. So I'm helping a friend upgrade his pc, but we ran into an issue with the psu to motherboard cable. The old PSU is only something like 230W so it's way too little to use for a 1050ti (runs off 75w through the pcie slot). I've seen some videos of people splicing together the 16 pin cable with the new 24 pin cable to make it work. But will this be an issue with running the gpu through the graphics card? There's also a load of adapters available, but this seems to be effectively the same thing. The other option is to the use pci cables? While we could go and buy a new motherboard, it's a 1150 socket so they're getting harder to find and it's very much a budget build if possible. Any thoughts? TLDR: I need to connect a PSU with a 24 pin mobo cable, to a 16 pin mobo socket. Is it safe to splice the old and new cable? Will it supply the needed 75w for the 1050ti through pcie? Example of adapter (instead of soldering):
