Recently bought a Pixio PX347c Prime monitor for working from home productivity and gaming. Looking to upgrade my RX 580 8gb GPU once inventory starts to become more readily available. What card would be a reasonable upgrade? I've been looking between an RTX 3070 or an RX 6800, since their respective MSRPs are in the range i'd feel comfortable spending, but are there older cards that would be comparable? Maybe Titan cards from previous generations?

Hello guys, i have a problem with my Ultra Wide MSI Optix MPG341CQR connected on my graphic card (GTX 780ti SLI) i can't reach 144hz on native resolution, Custom resolution on Nvidia Panel doesn't work, not changing anything. Im connected on displayport and i also tried to plug hdmi port, some resolutions works with 144hz but not on 3440x1440 (native). I know my GPU are a bit old but it shouldn't be the problem or not ? Thanks for help and sorry for my English

As my title shows I stuffed up and got a monitor I didn’t want, I was aiming for a 1080 144hz 27inch but got confused with the cart and end up buying the wrong one. Just curious tho, how bad that monitor? Like for gaming and such? Should I opt for a refund and get the alternative?

Hi everyone! Right now Im playing in a 60hz display (ASUS VX239H) and I have tested some 144hz monitors from some friends. Since sometimes you dont get more than 100fps I was wondering if It would be worth It to get a better 75, 85 or 100Hz display instead of a 144Hz since you wont get those 144fps. Are the 75 or 85 fps noticeable compared with the 60? I would like the people to talk out of experience and not based on reviews or other stuff, I'd like to have some real customers feedback! Thanks in advance to everyone who answers!

Hey. So I've been using a GTX 1080 Founders Edition for a while now. Connected to two monitors: 1 - ASUS MG279Q (1440p 144hz) 2 - BenQ XL2540 (1080p 240hz) I've just received a PG348Q as I plan to switch out my MG279Q with it, and use the BenQ as a secondary monitor, for CS:GO and other "twitchy" games. Thing is though when I now run the BenQ and the PG348Q, I can't get the BenQ to over 60hz for some reason.' The 348Q is stable at 100hz, but I can only seem to get over the 60hz limit on the BenQ when disconnecting the 348Q. Both using the same DisplayPort cables that I used on my previous setup. I've tried to restart, reconnect cables, switched ports on the GPU, all the stuff that usually fixes a monitor stuck at a lower frequencies. Thanks for any tips on this.... /Nilsen.

I have GTX1080 and I'm looking for a new monitor, something really good that could last me ~4 years from now... Now, is it wise to buy PG348Q or wait for something better?

Hello guys, since i am looking to buy a 21:9, 3440x1440 100Hz Monitor in the near future, a want a system that can keep up with that. I am mostly going to play League and Overwatch. I know they do not support 21:9 as perfect as other new games, but with a new/upgraded system and a new monitor i will for sure try out some of the latest games as well. First of, the parts i wanna keep anyways: Stormtrooper case, 750 Watt something corsair PSU, 250GB Samsung SSD Current Build: Asus M4A87TD EVO AMD Phenom II X6 1090T AMD Radeon HD 6770 Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 C9 2x4GB I had in mind to replace all this for quite some time, but just for gaming it may be an option to just swap out the graphics card. Below is a comparison of what i would buy and could afford with a complete replacement, and the other option to just replace the graphics card. Note that if i go for the second option, i would spend more on the graphics card and even get an 1080 Ti. Therefore the first option would be around 1200€ and the second probably 700€. http://www.userbenchmark.com/PCBuilder/Custom/S51320-M247488.137575.19728.89317vsS3705-M417.251565.19175.89203?tab=CPU So what do you guys think? Would the second option work with the monitor and the games i have in mind for like ... a year until i upgrade everything else? Since resent games have better support for multiple cores, i feel like my current CPU wont even bottleneck me that hard on 1440p with a high end GPU... Sidequestion: I have a Corsair Closed loop liquid cooler for the Phenom II with a 120x120 radiator, any chance a can somehow custom hobobobo this on a ryzen 7? (I am willing and skilled to put in some modding effort) PS.: I know the 7700K is a better option for gaming right now, but i would prefer the Ryzen 7 for other (far) future side projects i have in mind

i'm planning a triple monitor setup, but I can't make up my mind on the main screen. I plan to have a 27" 1440p IPS 75hz zero bezel monitor on each side. As for straight ahead I'm torn between the choices in the poll. I'm using this for Web App Development, RPGs and general productivity. I don't play FPS.

#myfirstreturnpost#hopeIdidntmessup I'm thinking about upgrading to a better monitor from my old Dell 28inch 4K Monitor-- the main reason is that the old one only supports 30hz on 4K, which does not make the game look good. I've learned my lesson about caring about resolutions over refresh rates.... Also the scaling on 4K is terrible. So the main question is should I buy a 21:9 monitor now or should I wait a few more months(are some of the manufacturers releasing new monitors)? I've been looking at the 1300 dollars priced Acer Predator X34. It is quite some investment for me and I expect at least 5 years out of the monitor if I were to put this amount of money in it. However I've heard that the monitor weren't all that perfect. One problem is the light bleeding on complete dark settings. A second issue is that the refresh rate is not 120 nor 144 which is what I really prefer(to 'future compatible'). Also I've also heard that many games does NOT support 21:9..... I generally play witcher3, shadow of Mordor, Assasins Creed(s), Tomb Raider(s), Far Cry, Civilization, elderly Scrolls and so on. Also I'm upgrading to GTX1080 and I'm on a 4790K and am not planning on upgrading that unless otherwise suggested. Anther would be appreciated! Thanks!

Currently using Samsung S22C350 on the following build: I7-4790k (OC to 4.2GHZ) on Z87-HD3, 16GB DDR3, 500GB 850 Evo SSD, 1TB WD Blue, Gigabyte GTX 1070, Corsair CS650. Looking for suggestions for High Refresh Rate (100, 120, 144 Hz) 1440p monitors that wont cost more than USD 300. Links for places to buy will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering when we could expect the review on Massdrop's new ultrawide gaming monitor. Considering that the drop ends at the end of the month it would be nice if we could have a date for the review(If there even is one). https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-vast-curved-gaming-monitor [edit:] The video is up.

Hi Guys, So i’ve just bought a Samsung C27FG73 which i really liked because of the vibrant colors of the quantum dot technology and something weird is with my monitor. The backlight bleed seems to be only at the borders of the monitor, I have attached an image for you guys to see. What is actually weirder is that these borders only appear when i higher the refresh rate of the monitor which means of the monitor is on 60Hz these border/edges backlight bleed fade like they’re not there. I have no idea if this is normal but it is actually bothering me and I’m thinking of returning the monitor. Waiting for replies :) Ps. The first picture is what it looks like from my camera the second one is what it looks like in reality.

I'm planning on upgrading my set up and am deciding on whether to get a 35" Ultrawide at 100hz or a 27" at 144hz. I don't play any multiplayer or esports titles and mainly stick to RPGs and RTS titles (Warhammer Total War 2, Witcher 3 etc.) and just wanting some opinions on whether or not I would benefit from having a high refresh rate. PC Specs: i7-6700, GTX 1080, 16GB DDR4,

1440p 100hz Ultrawide stuck at 50hz (Displayport 1.2)
Doctorgear63 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
So I just received my new Samsung C34J79 Ultrawide. Looks all fancy and lovely etc. But on plugging it into my PC, in the monitor's settings it says the Recommended Resolution is 3440x1440 at 60hz, and in Windows it's stuck at 50hz. The specs advertise this everywhere as a 100hz monitor. It's a Freesync monitor, but I don't know if this is related as others have said they have had it running at 100hz out-of-the-box, running Nvidia cards. In the Nvidia Control Panel and in Windows Advanced Display Settings they both say it's running at 50hz, and I can't find anywhere to change this. I've tried running custom resolutions at 60hz and 100hz, but it's just totally unstable. I'm running a GTX 1080 with up-to-date drivers, with a Displayport 1.2 cable, and according to the monitor's onboard menu it's running at DP 1.2. It's a cheapish cable though, I've got a Vesa Certified DP 1.4 cable on order, guess I'll see if that fixes anything when it arrives on Thursday. If anyone has any other ideas as to how I can get my 100hz, I'd greatly appreciate your input (Pun intended). George -
Hi all, Just got a 1440p 100hz ultrawide monitor (MSI Optix MAG341CQ) and was wondering what the minimum graphics card I can use to run windows at the max resolution and refresh rate. It will only be used for music production and web browsing, never for gaming. I'm just looking a cheap solution to replace the Radeon 6450 in my desktop at the moment as it can only run the full resolution at 30hz. Thanks for any help or suggestions in advance!

Looking for a new monitor and i've kinda gotten into the ultrawide or maybe even a super, although i've stepped back from the super abit because of the 1080p wall vs price. I might wait til black friday and see if one goes on sale, but I have to pick 1-2 to camp. Freesync vs Gsync for a gtx 1080? i think it should be fine either way but im not sure! 100hz for half the price of 144hz? Am i getting bang for that xtra buck? 100hz ips or 144hz va? how important is cd/m2(600 seems juicy high) compared to other things? 1440p 21:9 or 1080p 32:9? is super ultra wide to much? also question the loss in pixels from increased size and lower res. seems like i answered this but i'm stil open to change my mind. Screens are listed by price (increasing) from about 600$us to 1300$us - I found some cheaper monitors but seems i lose out on features to much. But i'm definately open to a bang for buck suggestion, if you have any experience with something that hits most of the good spots. MSI 34" Optix MAG341CQ 100hz - 8bit - cd/m2 250 - UWQHD 3440 x 1440 - va 600$ this is like "bestest" for the lowest amount of cash i could find or Samsung 49" C49HG90DMU 144hz - 10bit - cd/m2 600 - 3840 x 1080 - va - 32:9 almost 1000$ or ASUS 49" ROG Strix XG49VQ 144hz - 10bit - cd/m2 450 - DFHD 3840 x 1080 - va - 32:9 a little over 1000$ or MSI 34" Optix MPG341CQR 144hz - 10bit - cd/m2 400 - UWQHD 3440 x 1440 - va 1100$ seems just about the sweetspot if i want it all(most all) but i would like to spend less or ASUS 34" Rog Swift PG348 100hz - 10bit - cd/m2 300 - 3440 x 1440 - ips 1100$ or LG 34" 34GK950F-B 144hz - 10bit - cd/m2 400 - UWQHD 3440 x 1440 - IPS (this is freesync 2, it has a sister with gsync - i got a gtx 1080. does it make a diff?) 1300$ if some how it drops 30%+ on black friday this seems like the i got it all ultrawide. the gsync sister is 120hz otherwise mostly the same which one should i pick in that case for a gtx1080? Please feel free to come with any suggestions or if you think of a question i forgot to ask! Thx in advance

Hello, I've recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU and RAM in my PC, and I'm having some difficulty troubleshooting this issue. I was able to change my refresh rate to 144hz before the upgrade, but since I've updated it I haven't been able to. My refresh rate for my 144hz monitor in NVIDIA Control Panel only allows me to go to 100hz, and when I enable 100hz it makes the screen look very pixelated despite being set to 1080p. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling GeForce Experience, Reseating my GPU, everything I could think of. I tried making a custom resolution and changing the refresh rate there, but the screen would just turn black and eventually go back to the previous set resolution after ~30 seconds. I'd appreciate any help/recommendations for this, thanks. CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard - MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950 Monitor - ASUS VG248QE

Hi, I am looking for monitor to buy in next 2-3 weeks for my PC (i7 8700k, 1080ti). What I need is IPS panel, ultrawide, curved (1800 or 1500r), 100Hz, 1440p resolution, about 34 inch. The best result I have found so far is ACER Predator x34p. Better option, I think, would be Alienware AW3418DW, but it is too expensive to me. Is there any other options to consider in Your opinion? The monitor will be used for games (5ms is ok for me), movies, sometimes video editing etc. Image quality is important to me.

Hey all, So for a black Friday deal I purchased a BenQ EX3501R. A stunning 3440 x 1440 monitor running at 100hz with hdr support. I understand that the XPS 15 9560's HDMI port only supports HDMI 1.4, and through the usbc port display port 1.2 is natively supported. My question is, to run this monitor at full potential without HDR, a cable such as this should work right? (I hope so because I already ordered one)..... https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01EXKDRAC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Would this other adapter support full res and refresh rate with HDR over HDMI? Im unclear on whether or not this adapter supports HDMI 2.0 and thus full res at 100hz and HDR. https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Thunderbolt-Supports-Displays-3840x2160/dp/B01FIVSC6Y Thank in advance!

I am looking for a good ultra-wide monitor that would have a res of 1440p and a refresh rate of about 100Hz with decent color accuracy, at a good price.
-
Why is it impossible to find a COLOR ACCURATE 2k/1440p ~32" wide or but preferably ultrawide monitor with At least 100hz. I would like curved but could definitely live with out. All of this for around $500. 100hz 2k 32in curved is not hard to find. Its the color accuracy is whats killing it. If anyone knows of something close to this please let me know. Im desperate.

I'm looking for a 100hertz, 1080p monitor for $200 or less, any suggestions would be appreciated. Please also leave a link of where I could buy it. Thanks in advance.
