Hello, I have a GTX 1080 and i7 8700k and 16 gb RAM. For some reason I have 0% GPU usage when I play games. Also I don’t have nearly 100% CPU usage I have around 30-40% when playing games my ram is at 50%. Please help me figure out these issues because is games like Fortnite I should be able to easily run 144 FPS but it usually drops frames randomly causing stutters and just feels choppy. Hi guys, first time poster in desperate need of help as i feel like ive tried everything at this point! A few weeks ago a built myself a new PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Nvidia RTX 2070 Super 16 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB MSI X570 gaming pro carbon Windows 10 64 Bit Everything seem'd fine until id installed everything and tried to play games! Some games such as Fortnite run as id expect with normal GPU and CPU usage and stable FPS however Battlefield 5, Fifa 20 and now the new Call of Duty look as though they are not using the GPU at all. I have spoken to Nvidia support, reinstalled previous and current GPU drivers and also changed 3D settings in Nvidia control panel and im still having the same issues. If anybody could help me that would be amazing, if you need any more information id be happy to supply you with any info you need!! Thanks Diddy

Hello, I wondered if I can somehow let my fans run at 0% (my AiO is an Alphacool Eisbaer LT 240)? I like silent PC's and if I could run Fans at that speed it would be perfect. So has anyone some Ideas (except disconnecting the fan connector xD)?

Hey! sorry to bother, I don't know if it's the right subreddit but I'm absolutely tilted and frustrated. I just bought a i7 4970k + GTX 1060 to get good and stable FPS on CSGO (it's the only thing I play), but to my surprise it's underperforming: very unstable fps from 120 to 250. I found out that CSGO was at 0% GPU usage: So I performed a clean install (DDU + GeForce Experience) of the GPU but it's still at 0%. I checked Precision X and it should be running fine though: Also everything else seems ok: Except that the GPU temp doesn't rise while playing CSGO. I'm totally lost and don't know what to do. I'm even playing 4:3 black bars. Tried everything on low and everything on high but with the same results. ANY advice will be highly appreciated

Hi! I have HP omen 15, (2018 version i think). GTX 1060, 16Gb RAM, I7-8750H with win10 Edu version. Running with undervolt on CPU because that thing get hot af. Drivers should be up to date, windows is on SSD, Apex Legends as well and i make sure its not full. I use CCleaner to clean my PC, Avast as antivirus and for the last month i have been using Kerish Doctor to fix my pc. But nothing really helps. I have huge stutters in games or in windows. The longer the PC is running, the worse they get. It starts at half a second stutter, where music plays but the screen freezes, the input devices still work as well since my mouse moves and text writes itself down after that. But when playing Apex, for like 2 hours, in the end it gets ridiculous and i stutter for 2 seconds sometimes which cost me a lot of 1v1s. I have seen ppl having the same problem, but no causes, i tried Kerish doctor to clean my pc up, some cmd commands, RAM cleaners like ISLC and many other things but nothing helps. I have monitored my GPU while playing and you can clearly see its usage drops to 0 every minute, exactly every minute. I wonder if any of you had problem like this and if you could fix it, any tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Note: I posted this on the Air Cooling forum erlier (here) but as I got no real answers, I figured this would be a better place to post. Hello guys, first time posting here! I am trying to make the fan of my GTX 960 (Zotac) to stop whenever the temperature is below a certain value. I heard that new (since the 8xx maybe?) generations of nVIDIA cards do it by themselves and apparently Zotac cards do too. Thing is I am using MSI Afterburner to control the fan with these settings : http://puu.sh/qsUGl/0214d45f41.png And this is what happens when the card is IDLE (writing this post): http://puu.sh/qsUL7/1c3f59299f.jpg So, the thing is that fan speed should be at 11% when card is at 45°C. It's not. Why? How do I fix that? Second thing is, how do I get my card to stop spinning its fan when its temperatures drop below the 40°C limit this winter? I was able to achieve everything I wanted on my W8.1 install but it would seem I am missing something on the new W10 install. Thanks a lot for any help you can give me!

Hi there, I'm having performance issues with my XFX R9 290. Particularly massive drops in GFX usage (to 0%), resulting in freezing and atrocious frame drops. My first thought was the possibility of thermal throttling, but the temperature of my card never surpasses 70c, averaging around 65c when under load. I've read that the maximum recommended temperature is 95c, so I'm pretty confident that this is not a heat issue. My CPU is nowhere close to thermal throttling, bringing in a max temperature of only 33c (using the Kraken X61 Water Cooler). The memory clock also drops down significantly at the same time the usage drops occur. (I'm using MSI Afterburner to monitor my computer while gaming). These issues usually occurs after 5-10 minutes of gaming. If I close the game, then start playing again, I experience no issues until this 5-10 minute mark. These FPS drops make games like Battlefield 4 and Dirt Rally unplayable, as mere seconds make a difference between victory and defeat. I'm hoping I can remedy this problem, rather than replace the card. I'm currently using the 15.11 Beta drivers. Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello guys i have problem with my gpu.I have replaced my Radeon R7 250 and Goldenfield 350W PSU with GTX 960 and Cooler Master B700 (used PSU with R9 280 for at least 2 years) -I tryed the GTX 960 on 350w psu but the pc was shutting down when i open a game or something else. -I replaced the 350W with my new (used*) Cooler Master B700w 55Ampers. -The pc was working,no shut downs,no problems but the psu was getting realy hot while i was gaming. -First i was scared because firs time in my life i see the psu is hot..My Codegen 400w and 350w goldenfield were not hot while i was gaming with R7 250 -I asked my frends and on some forums and they told me that psu is normal to get warm while gaming or on full load. -When i opened Batman Arkham Knigh everything was changed.... - The game works fine but sometimes frezes and lags like hell.I opened msi afterburner to see what is the problem. -While batman PC test there were big lags and frezes i mean GPU load was 95% than drops to 22% and 0% than up to 77% and again 0%... -While gpu load fall down the fps too like 2-5fps.The frezes last for 2-10 seconds and again... -And in free roam also or in misions gpu load fall to low numbers and even 0% and i cant play the game normal. -When the game was lagging the audio was strange...i mean the sounds from the game and i did not reach more than 30fps. -Game settings are on normal/textures on low cuz i have 2gb vram and 1080p res. -I have uninstaled some amd drivers from my R7 250,Downloaded the latest nvidia drivers,Optimied batman using gefoce exepirience and unlocked the game to 80fps max.I opened the game and sow that GPU Load was 80-99% and cpu load was increased also. -I runed the test and i did not sow frezes or gpu load goin down but ....The frezes came back but no so much like last time. -While im doing some mission or if theres action the game sometimes frezes,fps drop and gpu load also. -How can i fiz this problem ? -Is psu cousing this ? -When im playing World of thanks on max 1080p gpu load is 99% and there are no problems or lags also in Beam NG drive/Cities Skylines/Project Cars/Battlefield 3-(GPU LOAD is 66-80% and fps are locked to 60 alos maxed out 1080p) -Its inposible this sistem to use 700w right? Hello Community! After many hours of listening to Customer Service for Microsoft and googling, and coming up with nothing, I decided to go to the community that has consistently—from what I have seen personally!—helped me and others out by actually reading and helping. So here's the story...I'm trying to help someone install Windows 8.1 from Windows 8 but updating stays at 0% for a few hours. We have been trying for a whole week now. A few days ago, after hours of "installing" the updates, Windows 8 restarted to configure the computer. However, once it reached 100% it would fail and revert its changes, putting us back at needing to update. So we decided to do a fresh install today hoping it would fix it, but now installing remains at 0% for hours and we no longer get the restart-failure problem—which I guess is a good thing—but now updating doesn't seem to work at all, not even to fail. I'm not even sure, even though the progress bar is moving but remaining at 0%, that it is even doing anything. I checked its service in Task Manager and its cache is slowly (very slowly) climbing but no % is gained. We tried contacting support (useless) and they just kept telling us to run troubleshooting or reinstall completely, as if they weren't even listening to our problem. Next we spent a few hours googling solutions and found lots of people with the same problem. I tried all that we found and nothing ever worked. Some of the things we tried: Fresh install Windows Update Component Reset Deleted the "download" folder within C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution Ran sfc /scannow (came back good) Tried turning off firewall, anti-viruses and all non-Microsoft services via msconfig Tried manually install only it scans for updates with the same problem Ran the Fix It program Clean boot Tried restarting the Updater service from task manager If anyone could help us out, I would appreciate it. I'm getting really annoyed with Windows 8 and customer service telling me the same thing over and over again, only to tell me to buy a new key.
