Hi, I'm issues with my .NET Framework installations. Yesterday after shutting down and restarting, my Windows 10 Installation doesn't detected .NET Framework 4.030319, which breaks most of my programs. According to a registry query via command line, they are still there, and the latest one being 4.8. Unlike Windows 7 & 8, the .NETs are not appearing on the Programs Installed list on Control Panel for some reason, is that normal? I would like remove them all and reinstall them, any help would be appreciated! Specs: Windows 10 Pro 21H2, Build: 19044.3086, "Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0"

Allright hello, this gonna be a long one. So Im kinda frustrated right now because Im going to a LAN Party tomorrow. Ok, everything started with Windows Updates not being able to be installed. At all. None of the online fixes I found were working :(. Then random .NET Framework errors started appearing. I always get one when trying to open Razer Synapse. So I tried reinstalling .NET or update it which didnt work either :/. Since GTA didnt work either I decided to check my my GeForce driver for updates which turned out as an awful decicion. Instalation didnt work, tried the option to deinstall the old driver which deleted the old driver but didnt install the new one. So Im without graphics driver right now. I also cant install any other drivers. Im running Win7 64bit. I would reaaally appreciate help. Thanks so much in advance ~zyl EDIT: Wiping my C drive isnt really what I wanna do since I need to keep my programs and so for the LAN party.

Greetings. I am Using Windows 8.1 Pro, 64-bit. I will admit to trying to use an illegitimate installation of Windows and using a product key I found on the internet. However, it didn't seem to work, as I kept getting notifications that my Windows license was due to expire, so I decided to buy an OEM key on Kinguin. I was trying to update Nexus Mod Manager when an error message showed up saying I needed Microsoft's .NET Framework 4.6 to run it. When I tried installing that, I got another message that said- 'The update corresponding to KB2919355 needs to be installed before you can install this product on Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2'. I headed over to PC Settings and tried to install the update, until I realized that I had tried to install the same update before. It hadn't worked then, and it still doesn't work now. The error message I got when I tried this a month ago was: The update 'Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)' failed to install with 'Error Code 80246007'. I just tried reinstalling it, and got 'Error Code 8024200B' the firs time, and 'Error Code 8024200D' the second time. I am Using Windows 8.1 Pro, 64-bit. I will admit to trying - and failing - to use an illegitimate installation of Windows using a product key I found on the internet. However, it didn't seem to work, as I kept getting notifications that my Windows license was due to expire, so I decided to buy an OEM key on Kinguin and enter it. After that, I tried updating Windows, and have received the same error message ever since. What can I do to fix this? Would using the 'PC Refresh' tool in the 'Recovery' tab of PC settings solve my problem? Please keep in mind that I don't have any backups of the data on this computer yet, and while I'll take care of that soon, reinstalling Windows and then restoring all my data is the last resort. I'm desperate to fix this, and would be extremely grateful for any help. Regards, Aereldor.

Does someone know methods of editing registry outside of windows or using non-Windows apps while in Windows? Backstory: I screwed up, wanted to install AutoCAD, which didn't detect installed .NET 4.5. I decided to reinstall it since it helped earlier, but everything went wrong when I realized that Visual Studio 2017 installed .NET 4.7, wrote about it in registry, but not in distribution panel. And now I'm not able to do a thing,,, Neither uninstalling VS 2017 (it requires .NET 4.5 to do this), nor deleting a registry path that exists when .NET 4.5 is installed. P. S. Reinstalling an OS is not an option since it's father's laptop (mine is coming soon unprepared, so i need a PC for university for a while), there are some programs, for which I do not have installers with me and process of finding them is a pain in the butt, plus I don't have a lot of free time for getting that thing to work properly... Just need to delete one directory to make that thing running, that's all.

Alright, so, weird problem here: i had a computer running windows vista, but then i changed some of its hardware and for some reason it wouldn't boot. tried setting it to oobe/audit mode but that didn't work either. so i went to reinstall vista just to find out that when i boot it to the cd it says "windows is loading files" and when it finishes it just gets stuck.i transferred the hard disk to another pc and tried it again and it worked perfectly so i turned on oobe and transferred it back just to find out that, again, it crashes on boot. so i had the idea to install windows XP and then upgrade it from there (because windows XP's installer uses a different format, i thought it might work) and surprisingly, not only did it install it, but also boot into it! however, my version of windows XP is 32 bit and windows Vista is 64, so i couldn't upgrade that way... so what i've got now is a computer that will boot to XP but not any of the newer versions of windows (tried it with 10 also). i SUSPECT that the problem MIGHT be my bios, since they seem to be somewhat corrupt, however, i'm using a legacy MSI board that seems to lack any kind of bios flashing software (model: P965 Neo). i've also tried installing MSI's Live Update 6, but it requires .NET framework 4.0 and windows XP doesn't come with it. when i tried to install it it failed with the error code "0x80070643". dunno what it means basically, can anybody explain to me why i'm able to boot to XP but not newer versions??? and also, what does error code 0x80070643 mean in the .NET framework installer???

Hello everyone, Please help me out. I was forced to update my intel hd videocard to the latest version by Microsoft. However after doing that I keep getting the error during bootup that I must install .net framework 4.7.1. But when I download an installer for that It refuses to update saying i already have a newer version installed... This is so annoying. Any tips on how to solve this? I already tried rebooting, removing, updating, turning back time and manually installing it.

Hi, I have this program that can make your monitor look like "3d" by tracking your head with the Wii controller and sensor. However, when downloading the program that allows me to do that, it simply doesn't want to start on (windows 10 x64 professional). At first, I had no idea how to get it working, but (i think) I managed to narrow down the issue to the fact that the program targets (.net framework 2.0), while obviously, I have (.net framework 4.7), I tried enabling .net framework 2.0 in control panel, but that didn't work either. I tried windows 8 too, but the problem reoccurs. In the README.txt it says that he used the program on Windows XP sp2 with (.net framework 2). I don't know much about coding but the program runs on C# (also not sure). I would really love to get this program working since I want to use it as my science fair project, I don't have any windows XP devices so I can't really test the program. Here is a link to the Johnny Lee's website(the creator) that has the download link to the Wii head tracking program: http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/ You can see the video on the website on how it works, it's really cool that this program was created almost 10 years ago, I would really love to get it working. Any help would be appreciated. If someone managed to get it working by changing the code, please link a google docs file P.S. Here's a link to the direct download link: http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/WiiDesktopVR_v02.zip P.P.S. If I posted this in the wrong category, please say so.

Hello, While trying to installing Age Of Empires 2 HD version, Windows asked me to install the .Net 3.5 Framework. Once I pressed: Download and Install this version it started doing the search procedure and stuff like that but when it finishes it says: The following feature couldn't be installed: .NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) Windows couldn't connect to the Internet to download necessary files. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and click "Retry" to try again. Error code: 0x800F0906 I searched the error code. I tried to fix it by mounting my .ISO file to a virtual drive using UltraISO and running the command: "Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess" In the Administrator Command Prompt but it keeps failing. I also edited some settings in the Group Settings. But it still not working. The log file of the crash is here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/vwej78ceoz8abg9/dism.log (Pastebin was impossible since the file is huge(2.1MB)) I hope to hear a solution from you soon! ~Tim

Hello, I believe I'm having some troubles with my .NET framework installations. It first started when I installed the latest AMD 14.1 Drivers. Catalyst Control Center ("CCC") fails to start every time now (I've made another topic in this section with the errors received as a result, will link). After digging just a little deeper, I noticed that in my Task Manager, I've got two process for "mscorsvw.exe" running(if you're not familiar with this, its the background service for compiling assemblies for the GAC after you install or update .NET Frameworks). One is for the 64bit the other is 32. In order to get rid of them, I right click the process, "Open File Location..", then shift-click to open a command window and run the following: ngen executequeueditems What I get as a result is somewhat bothersome and probably isn't good. Nearly everything it tries to do fails with some kind of error, usually "The system cannot find the file specified" or "Fail to load dependency <dependency name>" <error code>, and nothing actually gets compiled successfully, and both of the mscorsvw services are still running after every reboot. I suspect that there may be a PATH issue, and it can't locate the files it needs to compile, but Im really not sure. Also, nothing but .NET 1.1 and 4.0 show in "appwiz.cpl"(see screenshot). This is above my expertise. I'll attach the ngen log file as soon as its done running, and hopefully that will give us a place to start. In the mean time, does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this to happen? Its one thing to not have ccc loaded correctly, but with everthing else failing like it is when it tries to compile, i think there may be a bigger issue going on here. ngen_64.txt ngen32.old.txt ngen32.txt ngen32_service.txt ngen64.old.txt ngen64_service.txt

ProjectZ Notes I saw a few XNA and C# threads in this section, hope it fits here. I'm new to the forums, but have been watching Linus for X years now. This is my first post so I just thought I'd share some of my work Common Questions What is Project Z? Project Z is a Managed, fully extensible 2D UI framework. There are plans for making Project Z a full 2D Game Engine. Is Project Z Open Source? Yes. Check out the source on BitBucket! How Does Project Z work? Project Z uses the MonoGame framework which is a Cross-Platform implementation of the XNA framework. This means that everything is rendered either with the DirectX API for Windows, or OpenGL for Linux. Project Z Render Diagram How easy is it to start making my Application in Project Z?
