Hey, thank you for your time and help; I'm really grateful. Could y'all gut check me + give any feedback on performance / cost efficiencies you think would be worth worth investing in? This is my first build in over a decade and with how excited I am to do it, I don't want to overspend where I don't need to. Thank you! Sincerely! ——— Budget (including currency): ~$1,800 USD Country: United States, Oregon (with no access to a Microcenter) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming only: AAA games (ex. Elden Ring, Starfield), WoW, CS:GO/CS2, Stardew Valley Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Peripherals: Not needed. Upgrading from: Console, Xbox Series Planning to buy: In the upcoming week. Resolution: I'll be playing at 1440p, 144hz Other: I want to stick with an AMD CPU and the 7900 XTX, otherwise I'm open to suggestions. PCPartPicker: The lists are identical with the exception of the CPU—I started with a Ryzen 7 7700x and am considering upgrading to the 7800X3D, even though it puts me over budget. Anyway, do either of these builds feel like overkill in any regard? Ryzen 7 7700X + 7900 XTX Ryzen 7 7800X3D + 7900 XTX

Budget: £1671.90 (incl. monitor) Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 2k gaming for rpgs like Witcher 3 as well as games like DOS2. Other details: I've included the monitor I'm planning to use and I'm open to upgrading things in the distant future. I'd really like to know whether my choice of video card makes any sense with the other things I've chosen. I don't really need to be overclocking the PC or doing anything insane on it. I'm looking for respectable fps, but I really don't need it to be in the 100s at all. I'm thinking that if I can get the Witcher 3 on medium-high setting in 2k at roughly 60fps then I'll be pleased with that. What I've chosen here is so much better than what I'm currently using, I just want to know if I'm making any huge mistakes with the things I've chosen as this is my first time building, so let me know what you think. Also let me know if you think it needs much more cooling than what's already there. Thanks a bunch! See image for parts list:

I plan on using this pc extensively and was wondering which one would be a better buy. The first one has a better processor while the second one has a better graphics card but having a core i7 instead of a core i9. I also am not sure if the build quality of CyberPowerPC is great (from what I read, it can vary a lot), likewise MSI is most likely to have a superior build quality because its a big name brand (I may be wrong). They are both the same price ($50 difference) but I am not sure which one is better.

Hello! This will be my first post on these forums. I'm looking to buy a new laptop as the title says and my budget is around 1800 but I could go up to 2000 if necessary. I'll be doing some heavy gaming and multi-tasking so something like a 1070 is what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something with good cooling that can take anything I throw at it I was looking at a MSI GE73VR (http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-ge73vr-raider-045.html) but I'd like to ask some other more experienced people. before I drop near $2,000 on a laptop. Thanks for any help in advance!

Hey everyone I am looking for a couple suggestions to compare. We are trying to keep the price between $1600 -$1800 preferably around the middle ground $1700. The pc will be used for steaming and gaming. The only two thing that are necessary are the Lian-Li 011 case and a 2070 rtx super. With the Lian-Li case being able to hold up to 9 fans we are trying to stick with 3-6 rgb fans or maybe 3 with a 3 fan aio because of cost. We also prefer the motherboard to have WiFi. We are trying to pack in as much storage for the price as we want to be able to have room for videos and games. We are thinking 1-3 tb to start then he can add more later if needed. We are trying to stay away from a full water build as this will be a first time builder unless there is an easy longer lasting version. (We usually do are or aio builds) Somethings we are considering but are not needed: -SSD m.2 + mechanical -cool master 360 aio -cool master 120r rgb 3in1 case fans -650-750w power supply -intel i7 9700k -amd 7 3700x-3800x or 9 3900x -gskill trident z rgb 3600 ddr4 16gb (similar in price to 3200) Also we are located in Colorado so we will try to incorporate savings at our local micro center. This includes: open box motherboard and maybe Lian-Li case if available. This build will be done next month as there are some new cpus that should be released around then and may drop prices off current ones on the market. Hello! I'm looking for feedback for my first build. I have done a recent amount of research and believe this build is capable of the performance I am hoping to achieve, but I am still fairly new to building a PC and optimizing individual components. Intended Use Gaming: Current games include Rainbow Six Siege, some RPGs (Outer Worlds, Monster Hunter) / Upcoming games include Halo: MCC, Cyberpunk 2077, Skull & Bones. Photo Editing: Some Lightroom usage is expected. Performance Goals My current set up is a hand-me-down from a number of years ago. Most recently, it struggles to play Outer Worlds on low settings and I get by with R6 Siege on the lower settings. I would like to move up to High settings at 1440 144 Hz when playing multiplayer games like Siege and Ultra settings at 1080P, high framerate for single-player or co-op games. I do not have plans to move up to VR or 4K. Budget Targeting between $1700-$1800 USD inclusive of a new 1440 144 Hz monitor. I'd appreciate any general feedback and have the following specific questions: PSU: Feels like overkill (estimated wattage from PCPartPicker is 354W). If I plan to upgrade in the future, should I keep a PSU in those future plans and instead get a lower wattage PSU now? PCPartPicker compatibility note: "Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as CPU cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders." How would I confirm physical dimensions? Thank you for taking the time to read over my first post! I look forward to learning from this community. I plan on sitting with this build or any other recommendations for ~1-2 months as I keep an eye out for decent deals.

I am looking for a build around $1800 can you guys recommend any thing. I would like the build to be in the Caselabs S8 or S5. also i would love if you could have a Intel CPU but that is optional. If you are using pcpartpicker.com then you can add the matx/S5 for 259.95 and the S8 atx/418.95 all of this can be added as a custom part on pcpartpicker.com

I currently have a vision. I have my minecraft server build vision, which can be seen in that specific thread, and I have another build vision. This vision would consist of a massive computer that could run all adobe creative cloud apps smoothly, and have enough storage for 4k pro res videos. I also want it to be able to handle intense encoding load, and quite a bit of mild load games, and maybe enough power for 3 27" monitors? 1080p or 4k... idrc. I have a budget of $1800, and I would prefer Micro ATX, but if needed I guess ATX would be ok. Any ideas? Recommendations? I really don't know where to start with this. (I've never had $1800 to spend, and on top of that I don't know what parts are crucial for these tasks.)

Hi guys! I am new here to the forum, but not to the LinusTechTips channel on Youtube. Anyways, I was wondering if you could give me some critique on my pc I want to build. Before you say anything, yes, I actually do have all the money for the build. I've saved it up for the last year and a half. My mom and dad are going to pay for a small part of the build, but I do intend to pay them back. The main reason I want this build is because I currenty use an old Optiplex 745 for video editing and... there isn't really anything else I can do with it. It's soo slow, it takes 2-4 hours rendering a 20 minute video in movie maker at 720p! Now, I do plan on doing a lot of stuff with the new computer. I want to mostly do video editing on Adobe Premiere, use Photoshop and After Affects for drawings and animations etc. I want to be able to use the Dolphin emulator at max settings while recording using Audacity, Dxtory, and a few other windows open. I also wanted to get into gaming because I don't really have an sort of Playstation or Xbox. Plus, I know there are more options in terms of Indie games on the PC. I also wanted to get into programming , to put it plain and simple. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/JurgaBurga/saved/3tbn I just wanted to point a few things out. The reason I have two hard drives is because one (WD Green) is just for mass storage and the other one (WD Black) is for writing video using Dxtory to this hardrive. I decided to get dual monitors and replace my old OEM monitor. I decided to go with cheap IPS monitors, but I've heard pretty good review about these HP monitors and they are light weight, so they are easy to move around. I also decided to get dual monitors so it would make everything more organized when recording or editing videos. The reason I got 32 gigs of memory is because I want to really get into using After Affects and Photoshop. I also like to have a whole bunch of windows open. I would like it if guys could give me your opinions and what you think about this build!

I am planning to build a Hackintosh to replace my current Macbook Pro. I will mainly use it for video editing and photoshop. I might dual boot windows and do some light gaming. Trying to keep the price under $1900 Parts CPU: Intel i7 4790K @4.0Ghz Motherboard: Gigabyte H97-D3H GPU: Gigabyte GTX 780 OC 3GB RAM: G.Skill Aegis 1600MHz 16GB (8GBx2) HDD: WD Green 2TB SSD: 120GB Samsung EVO PSU: Antec TPC-750 True Power 80Plus Gold Case: NZXT Phantom 530 DVD Drive: Samsung 22x I just want to know if this is a compatible Hackintosh and is it good for 1080p video editing and photoshopping as well as some light 18080p gaming. Thanks in advance
