I was planning my loop and I couldn't figured how to drain efficiently. My reservoir is hidden, so I'm thinking of just added some clear tubing with a fill port on the end. I'm going to get the EK D5 X-RES Top 100 w/ D5 Vario Pump , so I'm wondering what fitting+port I'm going to need (Really confused about this.)

I have a custom built PC with Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit, that has an ASUS Maximus VII Hero Motherboard (I suspect something with this). On my old PC, if I plugged in Ethernet, it would quickly detect the network and get me online. On my new one, Ethernet seems to be a bit random in working. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not. It "does not" work because it will just give me the yellow warning sign and say that there is no Internet connection. Running a diagnosis always returns an "invalid IP address configuration" but I am hesitant to believe this based on these examples: I have a direct Ethernet connection to my router. If I plug in the cable before I boot up my PC, it usually works. If I plug in the cable afterwards, it usually won't work. I was at a friend's house, and I had brought a Cisco switch because he only had one connection in his room. I plugged in the connection to the switch, and then our PCs. His worked, mine did not. I tried a bunch of stuff to try and fix it, yet none worked. I ended up using Internet Sharing (WiFi -> Ethernet) on my MacBook Pro Mid-2012 Yosemite to get Internet, and it worked on the first go, no issues (I was using reboots to try and fix the issue). A few months ago, I had trouble with my home network Ethernet line (I was getting the yellow warning sign). After reading a lot of forums, I tried doing a static discharge by powering down, disconnecting the power cable, and pressing the power button, then starting up again. This solution worked, but confused me. Now, when I have problems, this solution seems to only work some of the time. Two days ago, I was again using my MacBook to tether because my main line was unavailable. It worked fine after 1 or 2 reboots. Last night, I tried to tether again, and nothing worked. I tried the static discharge, reboots, etc. Can someone please help me diagnose this?? I know I am using the latest BIOS and LAN drivers.

I was browsing the web-er-net when I found the Cherry MX Yellow. There were no pictures, but I assume it looks like any other MX switch except, you know, yellow. I also found out that it's linear. If anyone here has experience with this switch, I would love to know, or if you know it's origins, that'd be awesome too.

Hello, I built my computer about 2 years ago and this is driving me nuts. The Build (First one so I am sure I could have done things differently) Case: Antec 900 Motherboard: Asus Rampage iv Gene CPU: intel 3820 GPU: AMD hd 7950 Power Supply: Coolermaster 1000w 80 plus bronze Memory: 32GB Patriot Viper Black 1600Mhz SSD: OCZ 256GB Hard Drive: 3TB Seagate Green CPU cooler: Corsair h80 Blu Ray player: LG MODISC OS: WIndows 7 Ultimate 64 bit I boot up and always have network problems. There is a yellow exclamation mark next to my network adapter and intel management engine interface. I can disable and enable the network adapter and I can go online but the MEI still has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. Or I can restart the computer and all is resolved. I have a work around but is really irritating. I recently watched a video with Linus and he said to right click the item go to the properties, detail tab, drop down to hardware ID and copy it. Go online to see if there is a fix or download. I tried that but have had no success. I downloaded the newest drivers from ASUS MEI and Lan. I have even done a fresh install. Could it be a BIOS thing or a Windows setting I really don't know can you help me out or if you need more info.? Thanks By the way the network card shows as a intel® 82579v Gigabit Network Connection and the hardware ID is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1503&SUBSYS_00008086&REV_06 and the Intel® Management Engine Interface hardware ID is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1D3A&SUBSYS_84EF1043&REV_05

I built this PC for a friend of mine. He wanted something quiet and flashy, but also something which will last him for a long time. I did my best to abide. Check out the pictures below to see the results. No sponsors, nothing fancy, just cash Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Windowed CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k Motherboard: MSI Z87 M-Power RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LP 1600mz cas 9 @1.35v (only one stick shown) Graphics: MSI GTX 680 Lightning CPU Cooling: Phanteks ph-tc14pe Boot Drive: Samsung 840 120gb Storage: 3TB Seagate Momentus 7200rpm Power Supply: (modified) OCZ ZT650w Additional: NZXT HUE and Corsair AF140 QE fan(s) I believe he also has a razer BW ultimate keyboard and a corsair M60 mouse. The parts all lined up The PSU was a little loud, so I installed a 140mm Cougar Vortex fan to silence it. It worked great! Now the PSU is practically inaudible. Just installed the CPU and wanted to check out my lazy custom cabling We're getting there. Just wanted to stop and take a look. Did you notice the Pci covers? I would have done the hard drive trays as well, but I thought it would be too much yellow Time to install the graphics card! He is so lucky. This 680 lightning is so nice THE FINISHED PRODUCT I hoped you guys liked it. Other than a few software problems, it was a blast to build. also, if you liked it, check out my personal rig. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/13117-project-juiced-budget-modded-itx-build/#entry140069

Here's the part list? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3G7DE And i was wondering if i just should have the stock cables form corsair? I am going to use it for editing (3d), rendering and gaming. Hey guys, I've done a thread asking for the best water cooling colour scheme and I got mixed results. The fact of the matter is that its all subjective and its up to the builder. So I thought about this for a bit and have decided on a few colour schemes. Here is the few: White accents, Silver blocks, Black overall Yellow accents, Gold blocks, Black overall Mix of Black and White with some colored LEDs lighting up the system. So, this is simply what I've come up with so far. Its not much but I hope its an idea. I anything else is ok too. I dont mind. The only thing about water cooling is that I don't really like red and/or green. Why? because there is too much of it and the image with builds like these is that they all seem as if they're overdone. Especially green (No Offence meant). Also, Red feels like its too overrated. Just all my opinions thou. Would be greatly appreciated if you guys could help me out here. If not, that's fine too. I came here to kindly ask for suggestions, not to demand them. Thanks in Advance,

So I've been getting a little yellow triangle over my wifi and it doesn't fully connect. It will work most of the time but it will randomly turn off and won't connect unless I reboot the wifi. My parents claim to have no issues at all, but both my Pc and phone won't connect. I've been having issues since my father installed a time counter, but I got around with changing my Mac through the advanced properties of the wifi chip thanks

So, I was looking for memory for my upcoming build that uses the MSI Z87 MPower board, but I wasn't sure what to get. I'll be getting two 8GB modules, but I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money. Any suggestions?

Ah, found some sweet pictures of the new lightning edition. (I think at computex they had it hiding under a box? I really don't remember but the new design looks amazing! I wonder how this is going to rival something like the HOF Galaxy 780 (that card alone in its name is awesome) Please nice feed back and discussion! And I ask, what would you like to see in the new lightning? Founded here on this facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/msiczech

I've been having this weird issue with crossfire lately, whenever i put a game in fullscreen mode the black color in the game fades to yellow and flashes. It makes the game in my opinion unplayable and i was wondering if anyone had similar problems. Thanks -P3ZZ link to build log - http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/42448-project-trifire-sundance/ -EDIT I have tried multiple monitors to no avail, all 3 gpu's work fine by themselves, my PSU is definitely strong enough.

As the title says. Yellow/Black Red/Black I'm worried about the mobo with the yellow build, but it's cheaper And i am a bit sick of ROG builds so i want something that is not really done so often.

So very soon I will be undertaking my project for college. My plan was to make a lighting system for a PC (internal) which also acts as a graphic equaliser when music is playing. I would use strips of LED's in the case, and control them with filters and/or an arduino (custom made, not bought). I also wanna change the power and HDD indicator LED's in my case so that they're yellow, and my front LED fan LED's to yellow. This would then match my z77 mpower motherboard and yellow edition avexir memory. I may also change the LED's on my motherboard. Depends on if I wanna risk voiding the warranty. I plan (in case you hadn't already guessed) for my PC to be lit up all yellow/orangey. Just wondered if anyone had seen anything like this before, as I've never seen yellow LED strips or lighting on a PC. Any thoughts/recommendations for this project? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Rhys

I already have my system built but i am replacing some parts in it to match my full Black/Yellow theme. I will list below the things that i need and you can answer with some links to them on Newegg or Amazon. 1: I need some yellow fans that under volt well so i can get them quiet, also can i just spray paint the blades on some Noctuas yellow and the rim around the blades black without it affecting performance or ruining them. 2: I need some yellow extension cables for my power supplies cables that will look good coming out and pluging into my system. (also need the same extension to come out to my GPU) The color of yellow i am looking for needs to match the color on the M-Power.

I have been looking for a mx cherry black switch keyboard that is tenkeyless. The Ducky Shine 2 caught my eye and I'm planning to buy it. So here is the question. The purple backlit ducky shine 2 caught my eye, and I really wanted it, because I thought that the backlight would go well with my setup I currently have my razer naga mouse's lighting set to a very dark purple and I like the look of it and wanted the keyboard to match(superficial first world problems). However, after doing more research I've noticed many people saying that it is actually a pink/ pinkish purple, instead of a more cool blueish purple. I've seen it listed on retailers as both pink and purple so now I'm really confused. Can someone tell me what the backlight is like on the purple/pink shine 2? I don't want to order the board and then find out that it has a pink backlight. If the backlight turns out to be pink, I'm probably going to order a board with black switches and yellow backlight (thoughts on yellow backlit keyboard with setup?) Here is my current setup:

Hey Guys, I have always wanted to build a PC case, something nice and stylish - I had lots of ideas and this is pretty much the final design. The idea is to have 'bay plates' that are interchangeable.

copied and pasted from here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/533120-server-mobo-post-issues/ ( i didnt even realize this board was a thing, or else i would have posted here in the first place) Really need help, the upon plugging in the PS without even hitting the power switch on the MOBO itself it booted and began beeping and blinking, there were some other weird boots maybe 1 or 2 other times but other than that it has been exactly as described, if need be i can obtain video/photo of the device in question.
