  1. Hey there, so I've had my Poco F1 128GB for 7 months now. The screen was laggy sometimes but after few wipes it seems like it's okay. Anyways, I bought it for around 400$, now the prices have came down a little and also it has been used. So, my question is... Do you think, the lags might come back? (It didn't seem as an app problem and there were no updates in between.) Do you think, it's worth it to sell this (I expect for max 300$) and get a Mi9 in 128GB version? Any reasons not to change or to change to different phone? (Not an iPhone, please) Thanks. (Maybe there are too many questions, if yeah, sorry, I don't want to spam the forum.)
  2. The Xiaomi Mi 5S is definitely a good looking phone, but is it competitive enough in today's saturated market? Well, for starters, it doesn't cost $8-900 like a Google Pixel or an iPhone. It is made out of metal and glass and looks very elegant and premium, the volume buttons do shake a bit but it isn't very noticeable. The camera used on this phone is the exact 12MP Sony sensor used in the Google Pixel phone. We don't have optical image stabilization but the EIS works good enough for most situations. I have included some sample footage in the review video. Picture taking is fast and the pictures turn out very nicely, but not as nice as they turn out from the Google Pixel; so it has to do a lot with the software optimization. We only have one mono speaker at the bottom of the phone, that gets loud enough, but nothing too special, at par with most flagships these days. The 5.15" screen has a 1080P resolution and that is a bit disappointing. The viewing angles are great and the screen gets quite bright for usage in bright daylight but the bezels around the screen are a bit hideous. Now the software; we have Android 6.0.1 running on the Mi 5S with Xiaomi's skin on top. If you are a fan of iOS, you will most likely like it. No, app drawer and the camera app looks just like the one you would find on an iPhone. You can change theams, and customize the phone however you wish from the Mi theams store. We also get lots and lots of features that none of us will probably get to use... I would say that more useless features than you would find on a Samsung phone for example. I wasn't impressed with the scores that i got for the Antutu benchmark and the Geekbench 4, and im sure it has to to with the Rom that came pre-installed on the device. There is also a fingerprint scanner imbeded in the home button that seems to work well 95% of the time. It is quite accurate, but every now and than it just doesn't want to register any touches. Inside the phone there is a 3100mAh battery that will last the entire day and with about 4h of screen on time, decent enough but not spectacular. For a phone that costs less than $350 i think that it offers quite a lot of value but it could be improved a bit here and there. The camera could take better pictures, the bezels around the screen could be smaller, the battery could last a bit longer. Check out the full review video for more information about the Xiaomi Mi 5S Smartphone!
  3. Hi! We just transferred to a new condo and will be getting cable internet soon (25DL/2.5UL Mbps). I'm looking into buying a separate router as the provided 2-in-1 modem/router has really shitty WiFi. I'm already pretty much decided on the TP-Link C1200 which has everything I need and costs only around 70$. I am also a big fan of TP-Link as their UI is simple and easy to follow which means it's also alot easier to configure. I've had 3 TP-Link routers and so far I'm pretty satisfied with them. Just satisfied though, not amazed or anything haha. However, I found this sweet little router from Mi which only costs around 20$. It's already AC1200 but without gigabit LAN. I don't really NEED gigabit LAN as my internet speed isn't even near 100Mbps, but it is a big advantage when it comes to filesharing and streaming media from my PC to my AndroidTV (Mi Box). But, I really am a sucker for cheap bang-for-buck stuff (I have tons of Mi products) and it seems this Mi Router is one of those. Sadly I couldn't find a decent review about it. Most reviews are sketchy and seems to oversell the product without concrete proof of testing. So far my devices are as follows: Main Rig (AC 867 Mbps) - will probably be wired to the router. iPhone 5s old Macbook Pro (2013??) Dell XPS15 (Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000) Huawei P9 (EVA-L19) Mi Box 3 The condo is a 2-floor flat with the router on the first floor and most of the devices mostly spread in the rooms on the second floor. Anyways TL;DR, does anyone have any experience with this "Mi Router 3". It seems too cheap for what it offers but hey, Mi products are usually like that (I have a Mi Band 2, a Mi Box 3, and a Xiaomi Hybrid Earphones)
  4. Hey guys, am considering buying either the xiaomi mi 5 3gb ram or mi aa 4gb ram, both are amazing phones i know, in my country there is a flash sale for mi 5 so its cheaper than a1 by about 40 bucks now, I am torn between the 5.5 inch display, audio dac and stock android vs the ex flagship processor, fast charging and better build quality, what do you guys think? I don't play much games, my usage is mainly media consumption, chatting, social media, and web browsing. I do a lot of multitasking switching between apps.
  5. So Im stuck between these awesome phones and I need help. I will only use my phone if I go outside our house since I use a Laptop. I like music as well.Is DAC really important since the MI A1 have one. I play games on phones too like 2fuse,piano tiles just light stuff. Also,Is USB TYPE C is important? Does that benefit the phone like daster data transfer or charging? So which one do i get?
  6. I do not get why the hype for Oneplus is still around when Xiaomi is so much cheaper for close to same specs? https://www.mytrendyphone.no/shop/xiaomi-mi-6-220486p.html vs https://www.mytrendyphone.no/shop/oneplus-5-64gb-220810p.html And yes in most cases around the world Xiaomi seems cheaper overall... O3O
  7. I am going to switch from my iPhone 5s back to android, and I came to 3 choices. I really love the design of the first mix but i cannot decide what to buy. Thoughts?
  8. what happened? "The first problem relates to the Mi-Mover app, which allows you to transfer apps and some settings from any Android device (running 4.2 or higher) to a Xiaomi phone. This is a pretty common feature, even on Nexus and Pixel phones. However, if both devices are running MIUI, Mi-Mover will copy all system data to the new phone. This includes confidential information, like saved payment information, overriding Android's built-in sandbox protection in the process. Some applications are unaffected, like ones check the device or require a PIN at launch, but many popular apps like Twitter and Airbnb don't check the device. So if someone had access to a Xiaomi phone, they could copy all of a user's information without much effort" "Another flaw was found in how MIUI handles device-administrator apps. As you may know, many security/anti-theft apps (like Android Device Manager) can use Android's administrator permission to wipe the device. Uninstalling these apps usually requires the user's password, but eScan discovered that no prompt was given when deleting an administrator app. Theoretically, someone could steal a Xiaomi phone and quickly delete any anti-theft apps before the owner had the chance to use them." Xiaomi response TLDR- Xiomi Mi-Mover app can be easily used to copy user data, like saved payment information, overriding Android's built-in sandbox protection in the process, another issue was how someone with a stolen xiimi phone could uninstall device administrator giving them acess because of how MIUI handles device-administrator apps, so a thief can delete a anti theft app after obtaining the stolen phone before owner can activate any antitheft measure. "Uninstalling these apps usually requires the user's password, but eScan discovered that no prompt was given when deleting an administrator app." what do you guys think? i think a simple software update can fix the issues but not sure if that will happen. -http://www.androidpolice.com/2017/08/10/security-firm-discovers-several-major-flaws-miui/
  9. Hey guys, I have questions about Android ROMs. Recently I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G for testing. I didn't know it was a newer version, so instead of the Snapdragon 400 I got the 410 and Instead of 2GB RAM I got the 1GB RAM version. Upon my research I found that this is a new version of the note, it comes with this name HM NOTE 1S CU, runs MIUI 7 on Android KitKat 4.4.4. Now, as this is a newer version, I seem to be having trouble finding ROMs for it. Honestly, I found NONE. Am I doing it wrong? Can any of you find one? Also, since this is on MIUI, how complicated would it be to have it run AOSP? Is there a Android Lollipop version for it? Can I use some other devices ROM that runs with a 720p display, S410 and 1GB RAM if I can't find a ROM for this device? I've read the ROM thread, it helped me a lot, but I still didn't solve anything. Thanks and cheers LTT community! Bogica
  10. A device named Xiaomi Gemini has showed up on Geekbench, it's almost certainly the Xiaomi Mi 5. The benchmark entry shows that the smartphone is powered by a msm8996 chipset, which is the designation of the Snapdragon 820, it also has 3Gb of RAM and runs Android 6.0 Here's a screenshot of the benchmark: What do you guys think about it?
  11. I was really waiting for to review Redmi Note 3 since the launch event where Xiaomi created a lot of hype. And even the pricing was phenomenal but let’s check whether everything on paper is really true in real life or not. Let’s talk about the good things first. What’s good about Redmi Note 3: 1)Performance: Redmi note 3 is equipped with Snapdragon 650 chipset, which is very powerful and we didn’t experience any lag in daily tasks. Even though it surpasses Antutu benchmark scores of Snapdragon 810, it is not as fast, not that great. Still for a price of 11999, the chipset and the performance that we are getting is commendable. 2)Battery: Battery is one of the best parts about Redmi Note 3. With a huge 4000 mAh battery, we got 1.5 days of usage with average use and with minimal use, we are sure that it will definitely last 2 days. For a heavy user like me, it managed to survive a whole day. … … … … Are you still looking for pros? Sorry, all the pros end here. Unfortunately, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has more cons than pros, in almost all aspects except these two. So, Let’s figure out what it is all about. What’s bad about Redmi Note 3: 1)Display: We have seen plenty of 1080P displays with a size of 5.5 inch, like LeEco Le 1s which is awesome. But this panel in the Redmi note 3 looks dull, really dull! The contrast level is very poor and the colour accuracy and vividness are missing. The only good thing is it is sharp, but that doesn’t make it a good display. Simply put, cost cutting is very evident here. 2)Network: We tried almost 5 network carriers with different SIMs, either single or dual, but it was a challenge for us to get a solid signal. Outdoor, we managed to get signal but that too was not that solid and there were interruptions. We updated the latest OTA but even after that we were facing the same issues. We thought that we got some defective piece, so Amazon replaced it within two days in a good manner. But to our surprise, the replaced product we got was made in India and the older one was made in China (weird!). Even after all these hazards, we experienced the same issue with replaced phone also. So it is a hardware defect and it cannot be fixed by software I guess. May be the metal body is preventing signals from being received by the antenna. Beware if you are a business man or a lover who spends a lot of time talking on your phone. 3)Audio Jack: We tried to connect different sets of home theatres and multimedia speakers but all failed. It was not defective as headsets were working perfectly. Both the returned and replaced phones have the same problem. So audiophiles, be very careful before choosing this phone. 4) Camera: 16 MP rear camera is strictly average and mostly an interpolated 13 MP camera. We really suspect that as Xiaomi is not even ready to share the details about the sensor till now. Xiaomi claims it as PDAF, but in all low light situation it focuses on the object very slowly and it is hard to believe it is PDAF. Still we managed to click some good pictures outdoor in bright sunlight. But for all the hype and while considering a 16 MP unit, we are really disappointed. Very bad while considering other 13 MP camera’s that found on other Xiaomi phones. P.S. Out of the box, it is horrible but after the OTA update, it is average. 5)Build Quality: It is a metal device and it is good to hold. But we have seen many metal devices nowadays even with lesser price tag. While comparing to other metal devices (like LeEco Le 1s) this feels really average. The build quality is okay but it doesn’t give a premium look or feel. Anyone can figure it out that it is a budget handset made in metal by looking or holding. Really disappointed with the look and feel. The only good thing is that it is good to hold, I mean the shape. 6)Fingerprint: Fingerprint is good but slow. Sometimes it can’t even detect sweaty fingers and we had to swipe our fingers in cotton cloth to get the sensor recognised. Somewhat useful, but looks like just added for making something extraordinary in paper not in real life. So what’s our word on Redmi note 3? Xiaomi badly needs a win over some companies like LeEco, Lenovo in the 10-12 K price bracket. That made them create a “paper only good smartphone” without proper testing. Yes, it has powerful chipset, excellent battery but that is not enough to give a thumbs up for this device. Almost everything other than these two is bad and Xiaomi needs to concentrate on testing and quality check before releasing one product like this. I suggest you to consider this mobile only for gamers, who doesn’t even use phone to call or capture pictures. 99% of people can say no to Redmi Note 3 as it behaves like a cheap product covered in silk wool. Rating: 5/10 Verdict: Go for some other products at least till Xiaomi resolves these issues.
  12. Besides announcing the availability of Windows 10 in summer and their free upgrade plan ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/330142-windows-10-to-launch-this-summer-d/), Microsoft also announced today that they will have a new program with Xiaomi, to test Windows 10 on the Xiaomi Mi 4. This is Xiaomi's first attempt of OS other than Android, and Microsoft's first attempt of testing Windows 10 on mobile devices from other manufacturers. (Pls feel free to correct me if i'm wrong). Xiaomi haven't announce any plans of releasing Mi 4, or any new devices with Windows 10, and it is too early to tell how this would affect the sales of Mi 4, but I think this may come as a precursor to Windows-based Xiaomi phones in the future. The only complaint I have on this is why the test would only carried out on the Mi 4, but not the Mi Note? http://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2015/03/17/windows-10-launching-this-summer-in-190-countries-and-111-languages/ http://www.ibtimes.com/microsoft-partners-xiaomi-test-windows-10-mi4-smartphones-1850656 http://www.soyacincau.com/2015/03/18/microsoft-and-xiaomi-is-releasing-windows-10-for-the-mi-4/
  13. Uh oh, some not so great news for people who were hoping that Xiaomi wouldn't mess up and do something silly while trying to sell a phone. Apparently they have put in a rather dicey version of Android that is loaded with things that aren't so above board, yet Xiaomi claims the phone complies with the guidelines set forward by Google on what the OS is supposed to have. Given the allegations against Xiaomi in the past, I'm not entirely inclined to believe them that this was some mistake. You only get to use that excuse so many times. http://thehackernews.com/2015/03/Xiaomi-Mi-4-malware.html?m=1 http://www.techworm.net/2015/03/xiaomi-mi4-comes-with-spy-adware-and-a-forked-android-os.html
  14. Remember I posted the rumors about Xiaomi may have scheduled an event on 12 Feb in San Francisco, California? and the rumors that Xiaomi may entering the US market? ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/305304-rumorxiaomi-scheduled-an-event-on-12-feb-in-us/) Well they did hold a press event in San Fransico today, and they did announce their entry to US market... just not for phone and tablet. In the press event, besides giving a broad overview of the company’s products, its software and the culture it has sought to build around its brand in China, their Global VP Hugo Barra announced that Xiaomi will launch its Mi.com online marketplace in the US and potentially some other markets this year, but no phones and tablets will be available when it launches. As Hugo Barra explained, Hugo Barra also said, as The Verge reported, that Xiaomi is hoping its launch of Mi.com in the US with simpler products, that don't have the same regulatory challenges, will help expand brand awareness of the company in the US before it can make bigger moves. He also explicitly said that "a phone launch in the US is not in the company's roadmap right now". Instead, Xiaomi will launch its accessories and smart home items on US online marketplace first. Hugo Barra cited products like the Mi Band wearable, its Power Bank, its headphones, and other accessories. http://blogs.wsj.com/digits/2015/02/12/xiaomi-will-enter-u-s-sort-of/ http://www.cnet.com/news/xiaomi-to-launch-mi-store-in-us-but-no-phones-for-now/ http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/12/8029081/chinas-xiaomi-to-open-shop-in-the-us-this-year-but-not-for-phones
  15. VR-Zone reported, Android’s Hugo Barra, who had appeared in many Google event, and considered to be one of the leading figure of Android, will leave Google, and work for China’s Xiaomi. Google release a statement, confirmed Barra's departure, and said,“We wish Hugo Barra the best. We’ll miss him at Google and we’re excited that he is staying within the Android ecosystem.” Xiaomi's CEO confirmed that Hugo Barra will join Xiaomi as the vice president, in charge of company's global expansion, started from October. And Xiaomi Taiwan official facebook page confirmed that Barra will attend Xiaomi's press conference on 9/5. http://vr-zone.com/articles/androids-andrew-barra-ditches-google-chinese-phone-maker-xiaomi/53751.html http://www.theverge.com/2013/8/28/4669960/android-vp-hugo-barra-reportedly-leaving-google-for-chinese Xiaomi Taiwan's facebook page on Barra attending the press conference on 9/5 (in Chinese) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=426483227470786&set=a.360770610708715.1073741826.360450250740751&type=1&theater Sergey Brin love quadrangle blamed for Google executive's sudden departure http://www.watoday.com.au/technology/technology-news/sergey-brin-love-quadrangle-blamed-for-google-executives-sudden-departure-20130829-2st1m.html
  16. My Xiaomi redmi 2 constantly is heating up within 5 seconds of inserting the battery. It gets super hot, probably to its maximum. My phone wont boot either. If I hold down the power button then the phone vibrates once like usual, but it does not boot. No display on screen, its black, not even powered on I guess. I tried another battery and it is the same issue. I put the supposed faulty battery in another phone and that phone booted, so the battery can't be the problem. To get the phone to heat up I dont even really have to press and hold down any button, it automatically starts heating up like wild when I insert the battery. This problem started after say 5-7hrs of updating the phone. There was a very small update from Xiaomi which was supposed to fix the calendar app and few other small things. Ever since that day my phone is not working. It is out of warranty, can someone help/ guide me?
  17. Hi guys, Just a quick one, I'm not sure if I should be posting this here but anyway, I'm looking at getting a drone soon and I was about to get a dji spark with the fly more combo, or a phantom 3, however I just stumbles across a drone made by xiaomi and it's 4K!, the mi drone is about $100 more with an extra battery, here in Australia compared to the spark, and the phantom 3 is about $230 more then the spark with only one battery, I just wasn't sure if I should get a spark or the xiaomi drone, any help would be greatly appreciated. ~Tom
  18. TL;DR- Friendly, quick-to reply customer service coupled with timely updates, shipping and communication for orders- FastTech has been an uneventful shopping experience- just how it should be for shopping for computers and gets my endorsement. Order History (time in PST): (I cannot confirm nor deny any actions, conversations, or correspondences that may or may not have happened below for obvious reasons): 18th July, 12:06PM: Created FastTech account 19th July, 11:52AM: Placed Order for Xiaomi Notebook Pro w/ DHL Express Shipping, gift-wrapping, and hardbox packaging 22nd July, 8:15PM: Contacted by FastTech to whether I wanted to change the declared value on the package; their message (email and ticket on their site) said if I didn't reply back in 24 hours, the package would be shipped with its true vale. 23rd July, 7:45AM: Replied back asking the declared value of the package to $400 (value of Xiaomi's cheapest notebook) 23rd July, 7:16PM: Followed up with FastTech's live chat about an update about changing the packages declared value since I hadn't heard back from their support yet, and was nervous about it shipping with a declared value of over $1,000. Was told that their colleague would look into it as soon as possible. 23rd July, 8:34PM: Received confirmation that the order would be shipped with my asked value. 24th July, 5:53AM: Received order shipping confirmation (tracking number not working though; website asked waiting for 2 days for it to activate though) 25th July, 6:46PM: Received updated tracking number via email and support ticket; my orders page was updated with a picture of the package and tracking number. 27th July, 10:10AM: Received by me. Pictures of Packaging: https://imgur.com/a/kAxDqI7 Proof of Purchase: https://imgur.com/a/qe4pD6l Notes on packaging: When initially opening the package- I wished there was more bubble wrap around the inside box, but given the laptop box itself was enclosed in soft packaging foam- it wouldn't have helped a lot anyways in hindsight and would only serve to increase the already expensive shipping costs. There was a minor dent in the exterior packaging, but but the innermost box for the notebook itself was undamaged. The notebook box itself still had it's original shrink wrap on and security stickers- it was brand new There was some odor when opening the box, but the actual package enclosed in shrink wrap was odor free. For $1.50, the hard box and gift wrapping was well worth it; moreso since if opened by customs- gifts are usually not dutied at all. The above is as objective and factual as I can get it to be, that all said, if you want to hear more about my experience as I delve into the subjective, read on! Why did I not want to choose FastTech Little to no customer reviews nor shopping experiences on high end electronics purchases. Website looked outdated/ sketchy with unmatched fonts and styles Missing as a recommended seller under the r/Xiaomi wiki Why did I choose FastTech? Some subreddits (mostly those around ecigs and vaping of all places, with some scattered posts on tech ones) held their customer service among the best in the industry for imports from China- both in responsiveness and professionalism. This was the biggest reason atleast for me for going through with them- I wanted someone to have my back incase something went wrong and not have to deal bad customer service with weeks in CS replies for shipping delays, damaged goods, etc.; and atleast from what I read- that wouldn't be the case with them, which was a huge relief over others like GearBest whom were plagued with horror stories around delays and non-responsiveness. Their return policies were far better than GearBest, BangGood, Aliexpress and I could pay through PayPal- if something went wrong and if they refused to cooperate- I could go through PayPal. I mean, to quote their website- "FastTech reimburses return shipping charges. Contact us for a RMA, within 5 days of delivery, and ship products back via the least expensive method."; aka- they cover back a 100% of shipping fees during that 5 day return window. Comparable price to GearBest, BangGood, and Aliexpress (not really a shopping factor for me; $25-50 here or there is a bit trivial when you're paying $1,000+ for a laptop), I'd rather pay more for better CS. They may or may not offer changing the value of packages that they ship as well as gift wrapping them, which means paying little to nothing at all in customs duty. I read horror stories of people being charged over $200 for duties which would be crazy expensive for a laptop, so this, if true, would also have been a strong reason for me going through with them. Their policies said they would work as a middleman between the customer and Xiaomi itself if anything goes wrong after 6 months and up until a year after the order date to fix the device. Other notes: Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my experience- it was uneventful and required minimal input from me after placing my order- just like how anything that was ordered online should be. Atleast from my experience with them- I feel confident recommending them to others and they're definitely going to be my go-to for ordering products in the future if the need to do so arises again. From staff that replied in quite literally hours in legible/ clear English to actually adding a photo of the box as it shipped- buying from them has been a really stress-free experience.
  19. Which one do you think I should get? Prices are pretty much the same.
  20. Hi, I have a Xiaomi Mi Box Android TV (Global version but I live in the US). It has a USB 2.0 type A port and I have a non-smart TV. I was thinking if instead of buying a Blu Ray player, I could just get a USB Blu Ray drive. That would even let me use the drive with my laptop if ever needed. Can I just buy any USB Blu Ray reader from Amazon or do I need to get one with some basic parameters? These are the specs https://www.mi.com/global/mibox. Thanks.

  24. this will be my first review ever on this forum, and why not about the phone I've been using for about a month now? My beloved huawei p8 lite wasn't working properly anymore, so i needed a replacement, and i had some money for it. so i wanted something high end, and came out after a discussion here on the forum to get myself a xiaomi mi8 in white. I'll be listing my positive, neutral and negative feedback here, based on my own use, no reviews or anything, just my own experience. Unboxing: the unboxing starts with a couple items: Quickcharge 3 charger type c to 3.5 inch headphone jack the phone (duh) a case manual Screen: the screen is a beautiful OLED display, which I enjoyed really well because it's my first one, the blacks are black, the whites are whites and everything looks what I would like to see. The little problem with it is that it is a bit of a weird resolution. It's a 18,7:9 screen, which makes some content have black bars or not being fully visible, I know this is the case with any 18+:9 screen, but I wanted to adress it. Sound: the sound is nothing special. the speaker is loud, but only buttom firing and as on many phones low quality. They are loud enough to frustrate my little brother, but just of a quality I would rather get my headphones to watch a video... if I could at least. my dongle broke after a week of use because i bent it, so I have to borrow my mothers bluetooth headset. Security: the security of the phone is in android 9 really nice. You can use face unlock or fingerprint, and you don't really have to wait around for it to unlock, because there's no swiping or pressing required. The only problem with the fingerprint is that it can react when your hand is in your pocket, but that's about it Android: MIUI is something you either like or you don't, just like with EMUI. I personally love them both as I don't need the perfect stock experience, and they work around the same from my expierence. They have done a great work on it, but the only thing I would want to change is the bloatware that comes with it. You get mi cloud and some other Xiaomi apps that I won't be using any time soon, as I have my own solutions for it already, and if possible I would have deleted them. I had some small problems with updating to android 9, because I had to manually press update, which is as far as I know uncommon. One thing that did annoys me should be menioned, it sounds like a little thing, but it has been pretty frustrating. when I hold my phone in landscape and I want to paste something into chrome (a website for example) I get the paste button on the spot where the back button is. You can alternatively download the Poco launcher in the play store, it's a lot cleaner. Design/ports: The mi8 looks great with both a front and back glass panel, with my model being in white. It feels really nice, but I recommend using a case, as the camera module is sticking out a bit. The case that came with it is minimal for what it is, but it's fine for my own use. All the ports that can be found is a type C 2.0 for up to Qualcomm Quickcharge 4, and can be used for sound too of course. Camera: I see a big difference here. The pictures are or really good, or just straight up blurry in the wrong hands. The phone uses Ai to make the photo optimal for the usecase, and gets it mostly right there, but I've seen other people trying to make good pictures with it, but failing with it. But that also happened with my Nikon, so it might just be them... The double lenses on both sides make for a great experience for me, but it's still not up to the level of a good camera. Speed: oh boy, let's get started here. Snapdragon 845 is one heck of a fast chip, it came out at 99th percentile in 3dmark slingshot extreme, and 39th of the world. my own performed better than most ones, and fully outperformed the Iphone X in opengl (benchmarks shown below), weirdly enough it seems to struggle in Vulcan, with a way lower score on it. The geekbench scores are a bit lower, but still pretty good. Conclusion: + great screen + hella fast + great camera + facial recognition but still a fingerprint sensor + for me a great ui + everything in the box + quickcharge 4.0 - ui not for everyone - some kind of weird aspect ratio - no headphone jack - single buttom firing speaker - weak headphone dongle benchmarks or other tests can be added on request
