Hello guys! I need to upgrade my "old" PC to an After Effects workstation. I have the i7 6800K with the NZXT Kraken X41. Since AE uses only one core, I am planning to go with the i9 9900K (only one core boosted to 5GHz) I know the i7 6800K has a 140W TDP and the i9 9900K has a 95W TDP, but I have read that the 9900K is literally an inferno chip. Can I cool the i9 9900K (only one core boosted to 5GHz) with the Kraken X41 I already have, or I need to invest in another cooler like the NOCTUA NH-D15? Thank you in advance!

Im thinking of getting kraken x41 and im wondering how the temps will be and how hard i will be able to push a overclock. Its gonna be cooling a i7 4790k and i hope to at least reach a 4.5GHz oc without the fans going crazy.

I'm thinking about getting an H440 or S340 and change my CPU cooler to a watercooled AIO. However the S340 can only mount a 360mm (like Kraken X61) in the Front, in the rear there is only an option for a 120mm Radiator like the X31. Now in order to get a good airflow, I would need to have the X61 pull in air from the front and have the supplied fans push it out in the rear and the top (or just the top if I get a 2nd X31 for the GPU). If that is actually a bad choice as mentioned by someone in a couple of threads below (didn't want to hijack it thoug), why did NZXT design it like this? On the other hand if I get a H440 I have more options, like mounting it on the top and have it blow out air through the radiator. However due to money constraints I'd like to go with the X41 since it's 50 bucks cheaper, and that one won't fit in the top, so again it's leaving me with the choice of front or rear. For reference I created a table already according to NZXT compatiblity charts: H440 | S340 Rear: X31 / X41 | X31 Front: X31 / X41 / X61 | X31 / X61 Top: X31 / X61 | None So what would be a good and cost effective setup with two Krakens (one for CPU and one GPU, not overclocked but i7 and GTX 970) in either the S340 or H440? Can anyone shed any light on this please? How to arrange both AIO and other fans.

Hi, looking for an all in one closed loop water cooler for a i5 4690k in my soon to be acquired NZXT Switch 810 Special Edition I have seen a lot of customer reviews and forum posts about the quality of nzxt coolers. Many tell of how the unit came dead out of the box or developed loud noises and failures of the pump (one case the guy was on his third unit over a few weeks) Is this kind of feedback deserving for the x61? If so what do you guys recommend as an alternative with a good balance between performance and sound. thanks.

Hello LinusTechTipians, I'm planning a new build in a Bitfenix Prodigy and I was considering using 2 AIO coolers (a Kraken x41 for the CPU and an Corsair h105 with a nzxt g10) to cool my CPU and GPU, Now what I'm wondering is if I can mount the Kraken x41 in the rear while having a Corsair h105 or at least a h100i mounted in the top, both coolers would only be run in pull. Hey guys. This is me again, this time with something more serious. I'm about to mod my Radeon HD 7970 with NZXT Kraken G10. I am getting high temps even with all the air inside the case being used only by the VGA, since I'm already using water cooling for my CPU. Also, one of the fans is making a strange noise, a ticking, so I sense that I'll need to replace it soon anyways. I was wondering if you guys could tell me if I'm good to go with the items below. Price itself is not a problem, because I can only buy in Australia, since I have relatives there right now and prices here in Brazil is way higher, if I'm able to find it first. It's hard here. And a plus, this store have everything I need. I listed two thermal glues because I don't know which one to chose. Phobya is cheaper, but I'm more concerned about good results, so if Arctic Silver is better, I'll go with it. And if I need more glue, please, say so Oh, very important. Since I'm already using the power port on my motherboard, with my CPU cooling FAN, I know that I'll need something to connect, adapt the Kraken X41 to a regular power cable. I just don't know what and how. Can you guys help me with that too? I might overclock, but not much, like maybe to 4.5ghz (keep in mind that the 4970k has a 4.4ghz boost), unless you guys think the x41 can cool it sufficiently for something like 4.7-4.9. Also, from the benchmarks I've seen, the Kraken x41 performs slightly better than the H100i, so instead of the H100i, I'd mount the Kraken to the rear exhaust in push/pull and have some High air flow fans attached to the inner side bracket for some intake air. Sp I'd have 1x 200mm fan for intake, 2x120 mm fans for intake, and the Kraken for exhaust. In case you don't know what the 380t is, heres Luke's review of it.
