Hey guys, sadly I can't take pics atm or really describe my situation that well, but on a bus, I had broken the hinge on my ATH-M40X's and in turn the wiring for the cup without the plug ripped and it fell off. Fast track to a year and 3ish months later and I'm gluing the plastic part in the hinge that came off. My question is that I have a red wire and copper wire both exposed so would I just need to twist together the corresponding wires to each color coded counterpart on the wiring by the headband and put some electrical tape on it or would I need to solder it together and use heat shrink?

I have seen at 4.5ghz the 5820k gets around 1290 on cinebench. My r5 1600 at 4ghz only gets about 1270 but does not get past the 1276 of some old dual xeons. Would it be worth it to sell my r5 1600, b350 pc mate, and cpu waterblock at 310 and buying a 5820k and motherboard for 260 since i already have a 2011 waterblock from an old build or is it not worth it?

Hey all... I need some opinions as I cannot decide what to do... I've been a huge elder scrolls fan since oblivion. Was so excited that they made a MMORPG of the series, ESO. I pre-ordered the imperial edition from launch.. Played beta before that.. Feel like i'm very committed to the game. After the last 3 years of the game being out.. I just feel that the game is far from what it should be. For example they've changed the base of the game twice already, first being as they removed "veteran levels" and implemented the CP system which should of been there since the beginning, and the second being One Tamriel, making anyone can go anywhere at any level(Which I understand a lot of other MMOs have diverted to, which is all good). Endgame for me is fun, doing veteran trials are fun. But after like a 1-2 months of doing the same trials over and over.. Feels boring. And Cyrodiil PvP is a joke, between the lag and all the zergs I just don't like it, even from when the game first came out. They just released the new "chapter" Morrowind and it feels super not complete, between their battlegrounds being 90% bugged at launch of live patch, to Morrowind feeling just uncomplete, with so many closed of ruins, and just feeling empty. Orsinium(One of the DLC's which was included in my Sub) Felt so much more complete, has more quests, and felt more complete overall. But this new "chapter" which I had to pay another $40.. has be wondering If I wanna be apart of this game still... Being that said, I've been thinking on picking up WoW once again, I played way back during TBC and WOTLK, and quit when cataclysm came out. Heard ALOT of good things with legion. Back when I played TBC and WOTLK the game felt so much more complete and premium vs ESO. I'm stuck here feeling committed to ESO based on all the time I've spent on there and being there since before the game "officially" came out and having the elder scrolls being my favorite series... Sorry if this felt like a vent, Just stuck debating on which MMO to go for. Any Opinions and support for one game or the other would be great. Which one should I go with?

Hi LTT community! I'm getting my second custom PC sometime in the next couple weeks for college and I'm met with a decision. I can build my own PC based the Skylake i7 6700k and the new GTX 1070, or, I found a killer deal on my local Craigslist with a i7 4790k and a GTX 980ti with peripherals. The cost is $1350 and $900, respectively. I just can't decide if the new gen is worth that extra premium. I plan on playing simple games such as WoW, CS:GO, Overwatch and possibly BF1(I'm not one for AAA games).

Hi, I'm looking for some frendly advice. I'm planning a cpu/mobo/ram upgrade in the near futur. Currently my system is : Intel Core i5-4460 (3.2 GHz) Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1 Motherboard 8 gb of DDR3 ram (1600 mhz single chanel) GALAX GTX 970 What i do on my pc is mostly gaming but more CPU intensive ones like MMOs (specialy World of Warcraft) and other online games like Smite, Dota, Battlerite, Divinity 2, Starcraft, Overwatch, Destiny etc... i do not play a lot of triple A games. (i will also change the gpu to something like a RTX 2080 but probably early 2020) I don't want to spend more than 600 euros for CPU + mobo + ram so i came out with this 2 systems : --- an amd one with ryzen 7 2700x : https://www.topachat.com/pages/configomatic.php?c=hK0%2Bp0NHpqeWbhyVADHMfs%2FYTWfsvUTHdgMA6N%2BUgGQ%3D --- and an intel one with i5 9600k : https://www.topachat.com/pages/configomatic.php?c=47pP66IiXYuTHfahxATrLq9xY95Y%2FFE%2FjtNpV1btEqM%3D So which one do you think is better for me ? Or do you have any other cpu suggestions that fit my budget ? Thanks and pardon my english i'm sending this from France Edit : Forgot to say that i play at 1440p on a 144 Hz screen.

Alright everyone So I never gain any luck when I play the lottery, and I have never ordered anything off of wish before. But something caught my eye that felt both entertaining and compelling. Wish has this computer with an Intel core i7 8700k, 8GB ram, SSD and HDD as well as a gtx1060. For.... wait for it... $3 plus $1 in shipping. So I thought for the entertainment of myself and everyone here, why not give it a try? If it's not what they say it is, big deal I'm out 4 bucks. However it may be an actual system and I might just come out ahead! Or... it's a potato. Either way, I'm intrigued. I will attach a link to a live unboxing once it comes in! "Wish" me luck! See what I did there?

This is a tier list for internal storage drives, such as hard drives, solid state drives and 3D XPoint "Optane" drives. This tier list does not represent user experience; I (quite obviously) have not tested any of these drives. This tier list goes from A to C, where A is best and C is worst. This tier list factors in 4KQ1T1 speeds, latency and overall cache. Sequential Q32 is ignored completely, so expect to see some NVMe drives as the same category as some SATA drives. I’ve got a strange issue that started occuring a few months ago. When I log into WoW it works fine for 30mins - 90 mins. But suddenly the screen starts freezing for a little bit. - This gets more and more frequent, and the freezes gets longer and longer each time. And it always end up in WoW not answering. Relogging solves the issue for a little while, then it’s starts again. After reading a few threads here, I’ve ran the userbenchmark just after a reboot of the computer, and one run while the problem occurs. I’ll also link a pastebin to my DXdiag. Hopefully someone can find a solution to this mystery. YT link to video of both of the benchmark runs: youtu.be/1VOafqf7bx8 Pastebin of DXdiag: WkW7vhPA

Hey guys, So I just decided to do some research on this issue but so far couldn't find anything really helpful so...here's what's up. I've been playing wow's new expansion for a month now and found significant performance decrease compared to the previous expansion. Sometime I notice frames dropping from 75 (monitor refresh rate) down to ~40. However, I do not see any notable hardware usage when experiencing these frame drops (cpu at around 50-60% and gpu even lower). My setup is: CPU: I5-3570k (stock clock) MB: asus P8P67 RAM: 16gb ddr3 - 1333mhz GPU: Gigabyte 1060 3gb Worth mentioning is that the game is running on an SSD but it's the same one as the OS is running on. Now for the questions. Besides upgrading the CPU, RAM, MB and cooling, is there any other recommendation on increasing the performance in game? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I'm looking for a good mechanical keyboard with RGB, my budget is 100 euro (113 dollars) I have already found this one from Trust: https://www.trust.com/nl/product/21808-gxt-890-cada-rgb-mechanical-keyboard that fits my needs pretty well but if you got any better or cheaper options I'm all for it.

My setup right now is: CPU: i5-7600 Kaby lake Mobo: MSI B.250 Krait gaming RAM: 16gb 2400mhz GPU: GTX 1060 6GB PSU: 450w (this is also something i need to upgrade) Not sure even if my system has enough power to drive this but i bought this as complete for a cheap price. So, my old boy MSI GT72S 17,3 has this SDD in it: 128GB SSD PCI-e Gen3 NVMe Its usally used to play either WoW or Overwatch. But with the new wow expansion underway, they warn against using mechanical discs. So you should use an SSD with minimum 100GB available space. Any suggestions to cheap or viable upgrades that will fit within the current laptop?

I just received my Razer death adder essential yesterday and tried it out today, for some reason, while playing classic wow on my MacBook Air it lags when I move the camera with the left mouse click, but it works perfectly fine when using the right one, there is only lag with the left button, before using this mouse I used to use a Razer death adder I bought in 2012 and I tested it after seeing what happened with the new mouse, the old mouse works just fine and doesn't lag the game, I also had a mamba which didn't lag the game either tough I no longer have that mouse. the trackpad can also move the camera without any issue. Hey guys, long time lurker here but I have found my self in a position that I cannot help my self with. I am currently in the market for a new mouse as my current razer naga 2014 edition is starting to get some wear on it such as the scroll wheel not scrolling properly and also the middle mouse button not working and also the sensor see to mess up every now and then which is not nice to play with. I have been looking around at mice and noticed that not many companies make MMORPG mice any more but the three I have found at the Razer naga trinity logitech g600 corsair schimitar I have my pros and cons for each of these mice and was wondering if I could get of your guys feedback on them. now for my pros and cons Razer naga Trinty Pros: nice design, fits well in my hand, button placement is nice, mechanical buttons cons: shot up in price since the 2014 edition, not had the best of experience with hardware/software from Razer, customer support sucks. Logitech G600 Pros: Solid software, cheaper than the Trinity, well-established sensor cons: hard to find in stock, a bit of an ugly design, worried about the feeling my hand as well as button placement. Corsair Schimitar Pros: better software than razer, better sensor cons: felt weird in my hand but wanted to get an opinion on long-term use. I have put a lot of research into this but just looking for people to tell me their experience with any of these mice and maybe dismiss some of my concerns or make me aware of others. lately would any of you wow player still recommend an MMORPG gaming mouse, as they have been ability squshing for the past few expansions I have had less and fewer keybindings to press so if anyone could recommend any other mouses outside of my requirements they might think I get along with that would be amazing. Thanks for all the help in advanced

Hey guys. Looking for a WoW guild to join since I've gotten back into the game for BFA. Ideally looking to do PVE group content(raids, mythic dungeons, ect.) Currently I am on Mok'Nathal which is CR with Silvermoon and would prefer not to have to realm transfer but am open to doing so. Not open to faction change though, haha! My main is a capped Tauren Hunter with an ilvl of ~305 currently. Been playing since vanilla but haven't played much during WoD and Legion. I've also got a Warrior and DK I'd be willing to level to tank. I've been in a guild for years but it's one of those cesspool guilds that sprung up during Cata and invited half the server and now it's dead with maybe 1-2 people on max nowadays if anyone. Generally I am free all nights for Thursday and Saturday and others I play between 6-11P.M. AZ time(no daylight savings) Lok'Tar friends.

Okay so.. I've had strange fps issues in WoW for 9 months. My cpu and gpu usage stay really low so my fps also is low. And if i change my graphics settings higher or lower my gpu & cpu usage change accordingly to keep the same fps (for example if I have 40fps with everything at low I also have 40fps with everything at ultra) My parts: I7 4770K Z87-Pro 1070ti Strix 16gb HyperX Black 1600Mhz Evga Supernova G3 650W Kingston UV400 480gb ssd Kraken X62 cooler I have been in contact with Blizzard engineers, nvidia engineers, intel engineers... and they all ran out of options what may be causing the issue. So believe me I have tried almost everything you can ever think of. I was starting to think it may be a hardware issue but the thing is no other game has this issue. And I had the same problems with my gtx 1060. Soooo.. any magic tricks which could help?
