I'm considering to buy this monitor for daily productivity (mainly programming) use. I would like to hear opinions from other people who have this monitor, or other 34" ultrasharp series. I've been looking on reviews but couldn't find more than few that were not so much useful. The only con I see so far is that it has 60Hz refresh rate. I would personally like to have more because it is better for your eyes if you sit 8h a day in front of it, but since I'm not gaming this should be good also. How is the text quality and sharpness, is it sharp enough and good for reading, coding whole day. Are there any problems that I should be aware of? I've found it for pretty reasonable price (550€). Feel free to type your experiences

We all know that on launch, the extra $50 to go from the 7700 XT to 7800 XT was well worth it, but what price would we consider the 7700 XT worth it? Considering I'm seeing the 7700 XT go on sale for $430, at what point should we start recommending it? $400? $380? Obviously, the relative price/performance should exceed that of the 7800 XT, to follow the standard 'value' argument cards should follow (exception being RTX 4000 series but that's a nightmare in its own when the $1600 card is one of the best value options...) I have an ASUS VG27AQL1A Zaku and the problem is, my GeForce GTX 1070 is too old to 'support' GSync compatible monitors. The 'support' is italic and bold is because, it works, however, I got no display on POST until the log screen, means I can't see the UEFI and my motherboard add-on speaker will sound off error that there's no display detected. Taking a look at my local retail price lists, I'm looking at the Gigabyte's GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Vision, which is $1.45-1.5K (after reversing, it's about nearly US$1.1K), not sure if 3080 Vision might be in stock, I need the slight VRAM bump due to some hobby work. I think a month or so, the 3070 series was $500 more, and the newly released 3050 was $800, it's now hovering $550-700. Also my 1070 is the Founders Edition, I would like to retire it ASAP.

Considering that I can sell my i5 6600k for ~$170 I would pay more $70 bucks for a new i7 6700k from Aliexpress (I won't be buying those ES) because here in my country even used ones cost more. Or like, is the upgrade even worth it? I have a Z170-P with GTX970 and 16GB 2133mhz (2x8GB), in some new games (like Metro Exodus, BF1 and BFV) my CPU was bottlenecking, so I wonder if upgrading it will solve at some extent the problems, or I should hold a bit more and buy basically a new computer (Ryzen CPU, faster RAM, motherboard and GPU...) on black friday?

I am saving up for an I7 6700k and a Noctua NH-L9x65, Premium Low-Profile CPU Cooler. for a total of 350$ with shipping so to offset the cost I want to sell my I5 6400 and stock cooler bundle together What should I sell it for. Also, Should I spend the money to get a real 6400 box or can I just put it in any old CPU packing material add the cooler and box it with a lot of bubble rap.

Hey there gang. Recently my MOBO+CPU has failed (not sure yet, a CPU dummy substitute on the way, but i'm starting to think about upgrading) and i need to buy something new. My previous configuration was a Rampage V + i7 5820k @4.5ghz daily. I also rock a Sapphire Vega64 Nitro+ and 16GB Dominator @3000. Mainly, the use of this pc would be 4K gaming (on a 4K native monitor) and heavy coding session (Deep Learning/Machine Learnng & Computer Vision operation mostly) Looking at the best i can get RN i stucked with the 3900x and im considering if this is worth the price or a 3800x is pretty much the same (in my country, the 3900x is priced around 450€ while the 3800x around 330€). Also, if i'd like to overclock, what should be a good motherboard candidate? Since i'm used to the Rampage V i'd like something similar but in the price range of 350€. Also, is the i7 9700k / i9 9900k an option? or this round AMD blew up everything? Thank you all for your suggests.

Hi, It time for me to get a new pc because my current pc is over 7 years old. I am now making my final build plan but I want to get a review and tips to improve it because no one wants to build a pc that sucks for over €600 ($651). Bottom line, Is this pc going to be worth the money? Linus:"Like this LTT bottle was worth the money... aaah. lttstore.com." It's a Dutch site so I will give one translation: "zwart" means black. It's a colour not a feature!

Don't really know where to post this and sorry if it's not okay to post. I know there is a classified section but I don't have a hundred posts yet and will probably just sell on Facebook or Reddit. I just have no clue in any way what they're worth.... I just upgraded to a 3700x which required a new board, cpu and ram so I'm trying to sell a: Asus Rampage IV Black (motherboard) i7-4960X Extreme Edition 8x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz DDR3 (4 low profile) sticks (64gb total) I'd prefer to sell them as a combo so I don't have to worry about multiple shipping items but also get if that's not a good chance of selling. None was used for mining - just video editing and some gaming. What are your thoughts on the value of it?

Hi guys I'm planning a new build for a friend, but his budget is really really small Under a €100 (his family isn't very rich and he's saving up for his driving licence) There's a really nice 2nd hand shop near me and a guy I know who works there can hook me up with either an i7 860 with a board for €15 or an i5 2400 full system with 4GB RAM for €60 I have a 460W PSU from on older HP machine with a 6 pin connector and a case and 4GB DDR3 laying around, and we can get 4 more GB for €5. I don't know what PSU the other system has but it should be fine and I have the other one for him anyway. So what would be better? An i5 2400 for €65 or an i7 860 for €20? And how fast of a graphics card should I get for him? I thought of r9 280X or 7970 but those require lots of power. Would an old 460W from Delta be able to power those and a HDD? Or should I get a GTX960? Will that be fast enough for eSports titles and such in the coming 2 years or so? Will the VRAM be a big issue? Or do you have any other GPU suggestions? Sorry for the long post but I want my friend to have the best rig he can for the little money he has. Thanks for your advice

So at last I'm getting close to getting a 7980XE... but now I'm starting to become really, really afraid with shivers and all. There's no way to get it delidded without attempting it myself, which is absolutely insane... consider I've never even built a pc before. and how exactly is the cpu without it? if it's completely useless I shouldn't buy it, but before that the only thing I could think of worth getting would be those speculated 16-core 3850X Ryzen,, which nothing is known of, no benchmarks or anything just a rumor. It may be 2020 before the new workstation platforms are out ...right? So what options are left then besides 7980XE... The 9980XE has been a failure for all i know and what's left is TR 2950X, 2990WX those are both outperformed by this intel And getting a cpu + motherboard only to replace it with Ryzen? That was my plan for a while, until realizing how ridiculous it may be, especially if I would get the 9900K that with 8 cores and 64GB ram doesn't really serve as a good workstation... so if I'm planning to buy something and sell/replace it later, what options are there in that case? Yes I'm in a rush, I'm stuck sitting with an old laptop and it feels like it won't last for that long either... on top of that I got several pc parts already including 2080Ti graphics card, 2 M.2 SSDs and the corsair 570X crystal case.. these items i bought last year will just be sitting here. So I feel like I'm doing really stupid things ongoing. Maybe it's true that I want a delidded 7980XE but how am I expecting to get that done.. magic? I can buy the tools but I can't buy experience, skills and courage I need wisdom

Hello there, i currently have a i5 4670, r9 290x and 16GB 1600 Mhz and i was wanting an upgrade to a GTX 1070, but ive seen in many places that my i5 will bottleneck the GPU, so i was searching and here in Brasil i can find a i7 4790 OEM new for around 351$ while a brand new i5 8600k or ryzen 2700x here costs 405$ and i would still have to up the MOBO and memory(DDR4 is very expensive here), so i was wondering if the i7 4790+gtx 1070 i would be ok for the next 3-4 years of 1080p 60 FPS gaming
-
Guys, in 2018, which of this GPUs would you buy? I can get the 290 for $187 and the 970 for $225 (I'm from Argentina). Which of this two do you think will last longer in time to play 1080p@60fps?

Hello folks, I'm going to sell my Samsung U28E850R monitor. I didn't realize screen tearing and vsync stutter would be this bad with my 1070, so I'll be replacing it with a G-Sync monitor. It's a 4k, 60Hz, 28" FreeSync monitor with a 1000:1 contrast, 370 nit, 1ms response time TN panel and a highly adjustable and 90° rotatable stand. Full specs can be seen here: https://www.samsung.com/uk/business/business-monitors/professional-uhd-lu28e85krs/lu28e85krsen/ Current price tag is between 381€ on Amazon.de and 399€ at Saturn, but I've seen it as low as 330€ on some price check websites. I bought it new not even 10 weeks ago during a special sales week (no tax) for a mere 320€. It's in an absolutely perfect condition. I didn't even remove the plastic wraps. Will also include the original packaging and receit, so whoever buys it still gets a good 21.5 months of warranty. So, how much would you ask for it?

Hello everyone! I've found Samsung U28E590D monitor for 180€. The seller said he's always on the move and apparently for the year that he had it, he didn't used so much. Should I go for it, is it a good monitor for video editing? Thank you!

well Vega 56 finally went down from 800$ to 480$ so far its the Gigabyte Radeon RX Vega 56 Gaming OC & MSI Air Boost OC model left so should I buy them or wait for next gen or further price drops? I am really tempted to press buy! What do all of you think? considering in my country things normally cost 25% more so for 4890 Norwegian is not that bad right?
