So as the title states I am looking for some headphones to wear when I am out of the house, currently I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 558's as my daily drivers. I love these headphones to death, I am looking for something with similar sound but Wireless, or wired but it has to be pretty good. Closed back is a must as I don't want any sound bleed. I am not huge into audio and would love some help finding new headphones, Thank you to anyone who replies!

Fellow Techies, I have fallen to the shiny side.... Mac. I have gotten use to their keyboards and find it somewhat similar to older Thinkpad keyboards in how they feel. Now, does anyone know of a Mac like keyboard that will work with Windows? The layout does not have to be like Mac, but the feel does. Back-lighting is not needed but would be a cool plus. Thank you in advance.

I'm looking for a new mouse since my old Razer naga broke, I'm choosing between the logitech G403 (wired) and the Corsair Glaive. I looked at some reviews on youtube but still can't decide. Which one do you think is better and has the best build quality? I mainly play FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege, CS:GO, COD games and some rpg's. I switch my grip style between palm and claw.

Okay so I'm a Networking noob and doing this for the first time so please put up with anything that really simple/obvious ignorance. Anyway onwards: 1) I'm networking my room with several PC's (currently 1 gaming desktop, 2 Servers, 1 raspberry pi, and sometimes a laptop wired connection) and want them to be connected to each other and the internet. Would I just need an appropriate network switch, any recommendations if so. 2) I am limited to a router/modem combo from my ISP so if I were to attach a network switch would it use the full power of it or would I need to use all the ports? 3) Do I need a physical firewall to protect my servers from attacks if so what would you recommend I do or get? 4) Any recommended relatively cheap KVMs? 5) What CAT cables should I use? 6) Do I need network cards in each of my computers to get all of this to work? I know I'll need them if I want to get better than a 1Gb connection. 7) How can I maximize my 1Gb connection?

I've been trying to find a pair of earbuds that offer not only Bluetooth but also will give the choice to have a wired connection if I wished. Wireless for when I'm at work listening to music and walking around Wired for either if the battery dies, or if I want to plug them in to say, my Xbox controller Unfortunately I haven't been able to find such a device, if anyone knows of, or has heard anything about something like this that be great

Hello everyone! I would like to ask you, if there are any headphones in a reasonable price range (100-130$) which can be used as wireless and wired headphones at the same time. Let's say, when I am sitting at my desk with my PC (gaming needs), I want them to be wired (to save battery charge) and sometimes, when I go watch TV or something and I need to have the sound only for me and not to disturb people around me with the TV sound. Just plug a USB receiver to the TV and listen to it wirelessly. If there is nothing like this, then I will stick to the Steelseries Arctic 5, which I am planning to buy. Thanks for your time and reply! Best Regards Adam

So im thinking on getting a Xbox One S (or new) controller and i would like to go with the white version since it matches my colour scheme. When entering the electronic site of the country im currently in, it says that you can only connect this controller wirelessly (my pc doesnt have bluetooth and im not interested in a dongle) I've read and seen on the top of this controller that there is a port for a micro usb cable which allows you to connect it to your pc but i am still not sure if when connecting the controller to the computer it will just charge the controller or if i will be able to use it to play. Second thing that is keeping me from making the order is that even though most people say you can just buy a micro usb cable and plug it in, i've read that there are many types of micro usb cables and one guy said that you will need a type A to B cable to connect the xbox one s controller. I mean, its clear that there is some port on the top of the controller but i just dont know what type of cable i should get and whether it will just akt like a charger or if i will be able to play with it Site with detailed photos of controller: https://www.polygon.com/2016/7/29/12322122/the-buttons-ports-and-thumbsticks-of-the-new-xbox-one-s-controller Site which sells the controller and cables: http://www.public.gr/product/microsoft-xbox-one-new-controller-heiristirio-leyko/prod8220695pp/ http://www.public.gr/search/public/searchResultsSN.jsp?sn.q=micro usb It would be cool if you could check out on whats available. Anyways, thanks for your time and i hope you can come up with something.

hi i helping a friend with his network for a business he has all of his computers on a wired connection with all computers connected to "Network 2". he just added a new computer to use as a server for a program. but that computer is saying that he is connected to a different network name. the program on the other computers can't access the files on the new computer because of that name difference. when you ping the new computer from the others it responds back tho. i was wondering if anyone knows of a fix for the network name change

Hey guys! (TL;DR available) I currently have an EoP set-up from my modem to a secondary router in another room about 30m away, however desipite the EoP being rated 500mbps (which is supposed to be 10MB/s correct?), I'm only getting ~4.5 MB/s. My ISP provides 100 mbps, and my wireless speeds at the modem reach ~95, however over the EoP the maximum I get is between 45 and 50 mbps. Wireless is not an option for my PC, as there are too many double-brick walls between the PC and modem. I will suggest a theoretical solution, and if anyone can tell me if it will work/have tried it before: Say I have a pair of Ethernet over power devices that are 200m apart and i will call them A and B. Say the speed A receives from the internet modem is 100Mbps, however there is a loss of 20 Mbps over the EoP connection. It I place another pair of EoPs (called C and D) between A and B*, would this reduce the amount of bandwidth loss over the network? *(where A would connect to C 100m apart, and then C connects to D directly next to C, which then links to B 100m away) TL;DR would adding a second pair of ethernet over power adapters between a current set reduce speed loss over the network?

**PLEASE DON'T SHOW IP ADDRESSES** Well, I kind of have look on the forum. But I don't see a section where you we can show off our internet speeds! I recommend that you use this layout so we all can see what you use! Wired or Wireless? What Cable? - Internet Provider? - How much you pay? U/D? - Speedtest.net results? Hey guys! I'm considering a good gaming mouse, because I currently have a really bad one and I found the Logitec g403 wired. It's pretty much the mouse that I want, but I still need to ask you guys if it's any good and if there's a cheaper one that is very similar to it. So should I buy it or get a different one?

I just want to say that this post is behalf on one of my friends you'll know why if you read on. I have a wired pc with minecraft on it, and when it hosts a minecrafdt LAN my other wired pc can connect. However, with a wireless mac it cant find the LAN. All of the devices are on the same network too. The macs dont have ethernet ports and I have no adapters so what can I do? All of the devices firewalls are off and any IP blocking has been disabled. Additionally, if the mac hosts the world then both PC's can join but not the other way around. Sooo yeah. Thanks in advance!

Hi everybody, I live with my brother and we have a 25 Mbit/s internet connection (25 up and 25 down with Bell Fibe) and the connection is almost always stable. My brother always plays CS:GO and every time I watch a YouTube video (at 720p, 60 fps when it's available), he always complain about his ping rising and lowering (from 40 ms to almost 150-200 ms). It does the same effect if I download something at 2 MB/s (limited to that so it doesn't block everything). I know it would be normal for a download, but for a video? I want to know if this is normal or not, and if I can tweak my router setting so it can prioritize cs:go (I tried with QoS, but maybe I did it wrong). My router is a Asus RT-N66U and my brother and I use Windows 10 PCs, both connected with CAT-5e wire (so no wifi). Thanks in advance for your answers!

(This is my first post on this forum.) What's currently a good choice for an accurate and long-lasting mouse these days? I was using a $1 mouse from a thrift store which worked great for a long time until the left mouse button started sending extra clicks. Right now I'm using a Logitech M510 that I got from a Staples because they didn't have anything wired. It got me through Borderlands 2, but the sensor accuracy is getting more problematic over time with stuttering and inaccuracy. It's also a bit heavy for me. I'd like to be accurate enough to play Team Fortress 2 or other FPS games without issue, but I don't necessarily play competitive CS:GO or anything. I'd like to get a good-quality long-lasting wired mouse so it's not heavy, doesn't require charging, and doesn't have interference. If there's something wireless that won't cause me too much trouble though, then neato. A couple easy-to-use side buttons are neato (although the ones on the M510 are kind of mushy). I don't need a mountain of them though, and none is fine too. Something maybe $10-$30 USD? I'd really appreciate a few suggestions on what might be a good fit. I was looking at a few options on Newegg (like https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16826193123 ) and Amazon (like https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Polling-Programmable-Ergonomic-Computer/dp/B07HFX399R/ ), but I don't know what's best without being able to try it in person or having someone who knows more about choosing a good mouse. Thank you.

Alright back again with another question. Just purchased the parts of my first computer but wanted the computer room to be wired not run it off wifi. So this is my current setup (internet comes in coaxial to my mode/router by the TV(living room) The route has has 4 ports. One is currently used for the TV, leaving 3 open to be used. Its an open concept house so running cables along the floor just won't due. My computer room is less than 30 feet from the living room and the garage is just on the other side of the computer room. I'd like to run wires from the living room to the computer and garage... (than my new computer will be wired and leave the garage open to having a wired connection in the future as well. Thats what I want to do but where do I start. I was looking up on Primecables.ca and see bulk Cat6 cable. But when it comes to the items needed that will be at the wall what should I get. I get that in the computer room and garage a keystone jack and wallplate is all that I need. But where the router is in the living room what should I put on the wall there? Can I use a keystone jack/wall plate (and patch cables to connect and it will work?) or is there something else that I just don't know the name of yet. My wife ordered me the computer parts as a gift but I don't think she will be overly happy with just a hole in the wall behind the TV lol Again thanks in advance for any input (pictures or links to whatever I need are appreciate!)

I'm cool with going higher or lower than 150$, but that's about how much I feel comfortable spending on headphones. The pairs I was looking at were skullcandy venues and Sennheiser HD4.40. I know they both include Bluetooth, but I mainly use them for playing games and consuming media on my desktop through a wire. I already use a HyperX external sound card thing. I'm not really an audiophile or anything, but I would like them to have ANC incase ever do plug them into my switch or phone while on the go.

Hello I recently bought a Drevo Calibur V2 wired for my Lenovo L340 gaming laptop, because I needed a mechanical keyboard for long typing sessions. Unfortunately, I realized that I don't have a lot of space to put the keyboard in front of my laptop. Are there any adjustments I can make to my desk to accommodate the keyboard? Thanks in advance
