Hi guys I have a very good desktop computer but I have a laptop with a broken gpu, and a laptop with just internal gpu, both kinda suck at gaming. I was wondering if there's any way where I could use the laptop as a screen and input device (keyboard and mouse) and use the hardware of my desktop to game on it, while a 2nd person is also gaming on that desktop. I was thinking about something like teamviewer, but that wouldn't work since we both need to have different screens and input devices regards Stef

Hi. Recently i just got a new computer with a unactivated windows 10 Pro. But my old computer have a genuine copy of window. So. I want to transfer the license to my new computer. I already try some method but it didn't work like run "slmgr.vbs /upk" on administrator command prompt. But after I uninstall the product key I put this product key to my new computer. But it's said the key is invalid.. Anyone got some solution for me? That will be great! Thanks for reading anyway

I really need help with this, and i have tried so many things, listed below is just a portion of the things i have tried. verified game files, reinstalled the game (both on ssd and hdd), reinstalled windows 10 home and pro, updated all my drivers, and so much more. It also is not an overheating issue or 100% utilization issue of any parts as i monitor those before, during, and after the crash. I have also tried turning off windows defender as some have said i could be closing the games as it thinks they are malware, and that fixed the problem for around 2 days, but it went straight back to crashing. Please help me out here

Hi, I have a HP Elitebook 8470p running Windows 10 pro 64 bit. It has Intel i7 3.0ghz processors, 16gb RAM, 1tb hard drive. I use this laptop for DJ'ing using Serato DJ Pro and I also dabble with FL Studio music software with various VST's I know I can get an 2.5 inch SSD drive for it but wondered if I was able to upgrade the processor and RAM or am I at the maximum specs for this laptop?

I purchased a windows 10 pro key and im trying to enter it and I get error 0xc004f213. my edition of windows is windows home. do I have to have the windows pro edition installed first to enter the windows 10 pro key?

When installing Windows to a new PC when is it safe to unplug the flash drive used to install windows??

my pc is has some ongoing problems and due to that I facing certain problems like: 1)Google Chrome is not downloading and saving files to the folder i am choosing instead it say to contact admin.(obtain admin. permissions) it says to save in a default folder. 2)when I am installing certain software/app a general problem occurs saying it cannot create temporary files in the temp folder(does not have permissions basically to create directory). 3)when I insert my regular pen-drive and want to modify some thing in the pendrive it says "write protected" . 4)certain no. of times when I create a new folder it creates 4 new folders. 5)for some of the modification in folders(like deleting,copying,pasting files) it says you don't have enough permissions. 6)using steam it cannot update cs:go due to some permissions problem occurred In most of the cases permissions problem is occurring but I am signed in as admin. and I have full control on my pc I checked that. I saw most of the videos on youtube to solve this but none of the either problem solved. I am attaching some snapshots. Please help me. I am using Quick Heal Total Security Antivirus (genuine). i am the admin. signed in with my admin account then also these problems are occurring. i am using windows 10 pro. i tried all the possible solutions given on youtube(,ost of them were same) and different sites but none of them solved my problem. if anyone could help me please give your contact details or help me here . if you give me contact details i can contact you and you can remotely access my computer to solve my problems.

After the recent windows 10 update, I noticed that I was unable to change the system display language via the settings app (For some reasons, I have to change it from english to chinese.) anyone know how to change this?

So this is a long shot i know but ive been working on this for a while and this is the only issue ive had except for a bad gpu, my (Mac pro 1,1) running windows 10 64 bit keeps freezing but i have yet to find a pattern in the freezes ive went through the whole build and have cleaned everything of dust and have re thermal pasted the cpu's and the gpu i am completely out of ideas at this point the specs are as follows: Mac Pro 1,1 Windows 10 pro 64-bit 32 Gb fully buffered ecc ddr2 not sure on speed 120 gb SSD For boot drive 2 500gb HDD dual intel xeon X5355 ghz AMD Radeon HD6870 Again i know this is a longshot as its kind of an odd setup but any help is welcome

hi there i was haveing some problems with my pc and some fps drops ..not sure why it happened ..but now iv spoke to microsoft support and my fps is fine now ..not sure what fixed this ..could be the 3 resets and i did a factory reset or my messing with bios ..but any way my games play good ..well i think they do anyway ...but heres the problem is that every time i use performance monitor it says my pc is poor ..on the cpu gpu and hard drive and memory ..even tho i had all green light under the warning signs ..i have no viruss and upto date drives and windows up to date.and in device manger it says all my devices are working properly .so i dont get it because the only problem that i get is that when i load up an internet web page ..my sound cuts out for a sec then comes back on . and apart from that every think is good ..heres my rig ..its a i5 7500 3,4ghz to 3.7 and ddr4 ram 2400mhz .. with a b250 motherbored and a gtx 1080ti with a 120gbs ssd and a normal hard drive 1000gbs with a 650 wat gold psu and only fans to cool it ..i just dont get why the pc wood tell me i need an upgrade when my pc is relly good ...and heres some notes ..microsoft said if its not a hard where issue then its there fualt and they will fix it in the next update and they said some think like there aware of this issue ...but heres the dodgy thing. about a month or 2 ago. i did spill coke cacola in to my pc and it went all funny on the screen and i unplug it quick and pulled the parts out for a clean..all i could do was let it dry and give it a wipe ..so i waited a few hours and then pluged it back in ...it was working fine ..and i had no issues ..and i could stream games on twitch and play in 4k 60 fps ..so thats the hole story ..and my pc was working fine even after the drink spill but then for some reason my pc keep getting fps drops on the wolf among us ..but thats fine now ..eva me or microsoft fix that ..just worry about the poor hard where issue ..when the pc is fine ..and help wood be a big help ..thx for reading

I have a wireless mouse and in order to charge it overnight I have to either keep my pc on which makes a lot of noise and lights, or I can turn it off with fast boot on where of my usb ports stay on. The problem with the second option is that my keyboard has gone through some things (Multiple power outages, cola/gfuel spilled on it) and I cant turn its lights off after shutdown, so I have to manually disconnect it and then reconnect it when I boot my pc again. Is there a way to make it to where at least 1 usb port is on, but the others are off? (Or the opposite- where at least 2 (yes my keyboard uses 2 usb cables) usb ports are off and the rest are on?) Ive tried using the “Partial Initial” usb setting in the bios but that setting just turns all the usb ports off (I’ve tried every single port). Motherboard- Aorus Gaming 7 X399 Edit: idk what I did but now all the ports are off with any setting. Fast boot off, fast boot on with “usb settings full initial”, off on shutdown with any setting. i have a potentially very bad problem.. especially how i am on an EXTREMELY limited budget and had to literally sacrifice eating good this month in order to get this computer up and running to a level i am proud of.. i have absolutely no idea whats going on or why its doing this, or if its normal, or if my computer is gonna crash any second... long story short, core 3 on my second cpu is usually around 50 degrees hotter than any other core on either cpu.. core 3 on cpu 0 is normal and within a single digit difference of cores 1,2,4.. ONLY cpu 1, core 3 is doing this.. ive read around and some people say its normal, but i dont believe that to be the case.. High temps are very bad for any electronic. and maybe a difference in temperature <10 degrees f could be normal... but definitely not 50.... i have gamed on max graphics for 12+ straight hours on this computer and it didnt so much as break a sweat, but im worried that the high temps is gonna significantly lower the lifespan of that cpu.. and i did already have one random crash.. i ran avasts cleanup where it deletes broken registry items and all that, then i defragged and did a disk cleanup, and restarted, and on the logon screen it gave me a split second bsod and restarted itself twice.. and it has not done it before or since.. im hoping that was just software related. i doubt that had anything to do with the cpu.. anyone ever seen this before? win10 pro Dual quad core Xeon X5450 cpu's 3ghz 32gb ecc ram idk what other info youd need to know to give it a guess, but whatever you need, just ask and ill provide.. im not all that computer illiterate, ive built a million pc's in my day and have been fairly heavy into windows based computer related stuff for decades (im 32 Y/O) but im definitely not God of all computer knowledge, and whatever is going on is clearly out of my knowledge base.. any help would be greatly appreciated..

I wonder if anyone has an answer for this odd issue that has cropped up today for no reason and no settings have been changed. When opening an application of any kind such as Chrome, CCleaner, Pot Player, Whatsapp its taking ages for windows to load the programs. I have restarted the system and still the same, anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Hi I'm trying to BIOS from 0058 to 0073A of Motherboard Intel DQ77MK. its a system pulled Mobo. when i try to update it's giving me " Current BIOS is an unsupported legacy BIOS" . Then i searched some solution on Google and downloaded " Intel integrator assistant " to update BIOS and Splash Screen of Mobo. but when i try to run assistant it gives me. The software is blocked for your protection" Operating system is Windows 10 Pro recently Updated. Mobo is DQ77MK. Please help.

Hi all, I have recently been trying to get synergy and network & sharing to work with my new laptop. So far I've tried various service edits and windows defender firewall rule adjustments. I haven't had any luck. I have tried disabling and re-enabling network discovery to have neither show up on the network page on each machine. One is connected to the network via AC-7260 on Wifi and the other by ethernet. This hasn't been an issue in the past. If anyone has can guide me to any fixes that would be greatly appreciated With thanks, ~LazyChaz

This is a personal laptop with a clean install of windows 10 pro. There are NO programs and its a completely blank OS. Here is what i have tried. Reset Group Policy Manager Set the Privacy to Full (instead of basic) Disabled windows update Enabled and set Telemetry to full. I have followed countless tutorials on line and none of them has helped. I get to the menu by right clicking a network and click properties. I am trying to randomize my MAC address and i see this option on other computers but not mine for some reason.

Hey everyone. So I'm installing my first HDD (I used nvme for boot drive). I'm seeing that it's detected in the sata 02 port in my bios, however I'm not seeing it in windows when I'm looking at my drives. What exactly might that be? Also, in case I'll be missing something when I actually try to download things, do I need to change settings for where my games will download so that they don't fill up my nvme? Will it bother anything that my games are located in one drive and steam is on the boot drive? Thanks for all the help in advance!

I'm coming for help with a two core issues, one lead to another to another and they all link back to the start so I'm hoping someone can give me a hand. I've put a 3 point summary at the end as well. Lets get specs out of the way first. Windows 10 Pro 64bit, Creators update 1703. all uptodate so says windows. Alienware Aurora R4 Dell branded mobo x79 Platform with some daughter board managing all the front IO an stuff. (A11 Bios, there has not been an update to the Aurora R4's bios in years) i7-3930K @3.2Ghz 6 Cores with intel turbo w/e boost up to 3.49Ghz across all. 4x4GB DDR3 Sticks of Dell Branded. (16GB 1600MHz) nvidia GTX 680 2GB (looks like a reference card) 1 500GB seagate 7200RPM Boot Drive, Sata 2 1TB seagate 7200RPM Data Drives, Sata 1 3TB western digital "caviar green" Sata [Not showing full size] Currently connected via Sata/USB tool. No Raids of any sort. Dell PSU 800W I think. As noted I'm still on "Creators" 1703 of windows, my "Feature update" delay setting has ticked over and PC wants to install "Fall Creators" 1709. Core Question 1. Do I update at all to 1709? | 1703 I believe continues security updates into Spring of 2019. With all the horror stories I'd heard of 1709 update I wanted to do a system backup to have a "Safety net." Got out 3TB Western Digital MyBook 3.0 but was unable to find the stupid version of USB it uses or its power adaptor. I took the HDD out of its enclosure and connected it directly to my PC's 4th bay, Not detected - even after reboot. Tried 3rd bay, removing 1 working data drive (L), still no show. put working data drive back. Used a Sata/USB tool my Father had. | Hardware & Drive Manger's see the drive, but only an unallocated 746GB. AOMEI Partition Assistant, sees another small 128MB segment. Images in spoiler. Lots of googling latter, people saying either of the following. Update Intel Rapid storage technology. Legacy Bios machines can't use 2TB+ drives without UEFI. my Bios is indeed "Legacy" and not UEFI so if this is true then 3TB+ internal drives are up in smoke. In my attempts to update Intel RST, primarily with 14.8 or lower as those ones still list Intel C600 Raid chip support, I've been meet with "Platform not supported" Image in spoiler. Yet I have an old version of this installed, Intel Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise 3.[other numbers] x36bit. I'm wary of uninstalling this as on the whole I don't know what it does for me being present as I -do not- have any Raid setup. However there is no way to get it back from Intel's official site. Core question 2.| Bother any further with this drive business? Would buying a new External be any different? I used to be able to see all 3TB with the WD The drive had had a Windows 7 system made backup on it last I used it, could that play a part? Summary. Old system. Everything is reported as "uptodate" however, age may be preventing newer versions/compatibility. Do I upgrade to 1709 at all? I rather not get caught up in a double version jump right into 1803, my update settings are set to "Business branch" + 100 days. Chasing my tail with this drive bs.. Its been stuck at 34% for 1 hour now, do I let it run for a couple more hours or do I do something about it? The reset option that I chose was wipe all drives 2 drives ( 1 ssd 128gb and 1tb hdd) should it be takng so lng?

So i built a new system with 32 GB ram (2x16) and installed Windows 10 pro on a 250 GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD and when i checked my task manager i see committed charge a bit too high (64 GB), so the question is, should i let it be? i left my page file as system managed cause well am not bothered by it and with 32 GB it'll never use much of the page file. I am also not actually concerned about the space on my SSD, by that i mean i am not going to install any games and software on that drive, as they will be on separate ssd's, so basically this entire 250 GB is just for OS and nothing more. The reason i ask this question is cause my C drive tends to go bigger over time cause of save games (lots and lots of save games like skyrim alone can take up anywhere from 20 GB to 50 GB), documents, installing mods for games and some log files which is why i left 250 GB for the system drive. So will i be space starved if i leave it at 64 GB ? Also i dunno how to reduce the side of committed charge without reducing page file
