so I was feeling a little nostalgic when I came across Age of Empires 3 and installed it on my pc, but I get a MSG implying my pc doesn't meet the specs of the game. It seems a Minnesota Company has created a new gun that can fold up to look like an iphone. The .380-caliber pistol seems to fold up for easy carrying and concealment. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/company-invents-gun-folds-look-cellphone-n547221 It seems that the phone called the "Ideal Conceal" will measure roughly 3 by 5 inches and will be available in October of this year for 395 USD. So i went to bathroom to do washing up, after i was done i walked back to my room seing that my brothers room is pitch black and nothing is happening. I came out of my wardrobe and saw the pc turned on. House did not have any power shortages, pc (The pc that turned on) is made few months ago and hasnt done anything like this. I dont understand why would it start itself up by no reason. I have a picture from my room to my brothers. *UPDATE* OKAYY the pc when was powered on time was 20.12 it went black at 20.26 and IT JUST TURNED SCREEN ON, like if somebody moved mouse (i can see time on win10 lockscreen) . I need anwsers please.

Hey so I installed minecraft on a freshly reset hard drive,installed minecraft, but after a few minutes the fps goes drastically down and it starts lagging and chopping... It shouldn't be the bardware (i7 4770, gtx 970, 24 gb ram)... How can i solve the problem??? thank you bye!!!!

When watching NCIX's "GTA 5 PC Hardware Performance Report", I noticed that the spokesperson stated, "For Steam users you will actually need 130 Gigabytes of free space to actually unpack the game". However, the games system requirements on Steam are 65 Gigabytes, why is so much more if you install it on an SSD? Is it necessary to install it at 130 Gigabytes on an SSD? Also, what are the advantages for installing it as 130 gigabytes? I'm just curious since I am getting a Samsung 850 Pro 250 Gigabytes soon.

I am curious. Why do people consider the Corsair PSU's as bad-quality PSU's? I'm not knowledgeable enough to know why, so hopefully a few of you could answer. =) Also, why do you suggest a certain type of PSU instead?

Have the Msi gaming 3 motherboard and when I boot up my PC it gives me a very blurry bios. When I click on settings it freezes and have to restart. In the manual the bios looks completely different. I have read this is due to the fact I Have/ got given a plasma tv. I find this hard to be true is it?

After Windows is installed, what order should the boot devices be at? This is currently the order with only one hard drive inside my machine, for some reason it is giving me four. I ask this because tomorrow I am getting an SSD and re-installing Windows on it. I am aware that the DVD drive should be the first in the order of boot devices when installing Windows. However, once Windows is installed on my new SSD. What are order should the drives be? What are the extra drives I see? Keep in mind the SSD is not installed in my PC yet, I am just asking so I know what the order should be when the SSD is installed. My current Boot Order:

I have the 980ti G1 Gaming and the LED was working just fine hours before and now I can't change the color (through OC Guru 2), it's stuck on this kind of baby blue color, does anyone know why. Thanks for the help The current driver I am using is 359.06

First off, I am mostly interested in learning facts and opinions from other people, I myself, have no intention of upgrading (more like a down grade due to primarily Privacy.) for my use case: I value privacy, and let's pretend that Vulkan dominates over DX12, neutralizing this asset. Considering the above, Why upgrade to 10 from 7? It's free, right?

This morning our internet was sooo slow so I reset the modem and router and it seemed to fix it and then I left for school. When I came back it was awful again. So I did it again and it worked for maybe 20 seconds then back to awful. When I say awful I mean I normally get 9.7mb/s up and .25mb/s down. When I speed tested this morning and just right now I got 9.8mb/s and .24mb/s. No change but my ping was 655ms. Websites take forever to load but once I am on it they are fast and I can load HD youtube videos just fine. While other sites after it load to it they are soo slow and bad. I tried to go to century link to email them and their website was unusable. Some websites are fine others are not but they all are slow connecting to it and general navigation like going forward or back a page. I checked network usage and it says there is 2 attacks in Missouri and Illinois and 30 network downs in central mountain area. After I reset my router my ping was 65ms but after about 10 seconds it went back up to 600-700. I did a traceroute and could see it was taking about 900ms per connect from sever to server. What is it? DDOS attack, routing tables changing, my router dying? Also cell tower are out in virgina and my LTE speeds were 1.29mb/s up and .8mb/s down with a 1500ms ping. Like whats up?

So this is gonna be my 500th post and i felt like making it a good one so i am going to tell a story, and we can all discuss things like this that may have happened to you! (TL:DR Readers, LOOK DOWN ) So on the side of my regular job and being here on LTT forums helping people out, i like to work on PCs and help people get them up and running. This is no hidden fact to those i game online with. I have many people whom i game in Second Life with that know i work on PCs and ask for help. A friend from SL asks me why her PC is not booting and gives me a lot of information about how it was not booting correctly and would not turn on at all at one point. Naturally i attempted to help her any way i could from booting with only one stick of RAM, to removing parts like the GPU, to even reconnecting connectors on the MOBO. To no avail the PC still had "issues" and i was unable to fix it over the internet. She asks then if she can send me this PC, to which i replied "of course you can, pay shipping both ways and we can do this." And there is where it all the funny stuff starts to happen. Like a snowball rolling down a hill we start the long and daunting task of getting this PC sent to me. The user of the PC was on a tight budget and could not send the PC right away, after 2 to 3 months of me reminding her, as well as MANY others pushing her to finally send the PC, she does which cost her $50 and included insurance on the PC. This means now i have to be present to sign for the package or it cannot be delivered. Being that i work hours that the Post Office delivers in, i was unable to get the PC. I ended up calling the Post Office, getting them to send me a slip in the mail allowing them to leave the package on my porch, all of this over 5 long days. FINALLY the package arrives, MAN that took forever. It gets better, i finally get the PC out of the box and plug it in, the screen comes up that i have to go through the setup process. I do so, and the computer resets and boots, TO WINDOWS, NO ISSUE?!! WHAT?! 3 months of testing and 3 months of waiting for a PC that WORKS?! GAH! So i finally get into the PC and look around, there are a crap ton of viruses causing the PC not to work correctly. I told her i would upgrade the system to Windows 10 and clean format it with the Media Creation Tool. She agrees and i attempt to do this, which was giving me errors. I spent another hour on this PC wondering why it wouldn't let me upgrade from Windows 7. Finally i look down, and the Date was 1/17/2009... WELL SHIT... So after fixing the date and time, wouldnt you know the upgrade started to work. Finally the PC is reformatted and has Windows 10 on it. I crack open the case and look into the horror or cable wiring and lack of management. What was the back of the PC for anyway?! Shaking my head i decided that needed to be fixed as well. AFTER ALL OF THIS.... I waited 6 months to work on a PC that had nothing wrong with it..... Thats how my life rolls i guess! TL:DR? SKIP HERE So my question for discussion and my well used 500th post, do any of you have funny storied about PCs? Share them! I want to hear of all the funny things that has happened to you!

Okay community I need help. I just got a new case fan for my PC so I went to install it. While installing I made sure to use a static bracelet and I put all the components on a wooden surface. Sadly after I installed the new case fan and hooked everything up to my monitors and outlet again nothing would show up on the screen. I've double, even triple checked the connections and still nothing happens. The only thing I can think of is the video card being fried or the HDD. Thanks Guys/Gals!

today i tried to oc my video card (GTX750Ti gigabyte OC edition) and i did it not good after i reset the settings on MSI afterburner my fps got worse on games like CS:GO and FarCry4. CSGO: before 120+ now 40-80 FarCry4: low setting before 80+ now 11-22 someone can explain me why It happens? (sorry for my english i not american or candian).

I had to RMA my 4670k to intel the other day. I said, "Sure I'll just FEDEX this, no problem." since they seem to know what they're doing. I sent the thing out on Thursday and they said it will take 3 days from California to Kentucky. They estimated it to be there today. So I checked my tracking number expecting to see this route: Imagine my surprise. When I saw this: Which equates to: Let me get this straight. You guys drove it down 12 hours, then back up to where it started, and then towards the actual destination? WHAT THE HELL FEDEX HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE?! Basically, I ain't mad. I'm in no rush to get that new 4670k. I just wanna know who's idea was it to send it 12 hours to Southern California only to bring it back up here to Northern California before heading to Kentucky. Fedex why?

Why i have Two routers ? Can't i just use single router ? ( I have TP-LINK and Cisko ) Well on the back of Cisco router there is home phone connected and internet cable, then it is connected to TP-LINK with yellow cable , then there is another cable witch goes at the back of my computer from TP-LINK Thanks in advance ! So I got GTA V yesterday and I just started playing and within 10 Minutes of playing I got the Windows Low memory error. I do have Page File disabled and I'm not sure if that could be the issue.. Should I go and enable Page File? Let me know if you guys can help out! Thanks.

Hey everyone. I have been having an issue lately that when I go to run something that requires Java, I get a notification/Error saying that Java could not start the virtual machine and just crashes. So I checked for an update and there was one, so I decided to do a clean install of Java, uninstall the old version then install the new version. When I went to install the new version, I still get the same issue, so now I am stuck without Java on my system. Any ideas on how to get this working? Thanks for your help Update: I have just tried the offline installer and still nothing. I just restarted my PC and tried again and got the same error. On another note, before coming here to ask for help, I did some looking and the error Im getting is apparently related to a Windows update, so I uninstalled it and am still getting the error.

I need a PC case with terrific (use your judgement) cable management abilities, and great airflow. But I also need it to work with a Noctual NH-D15 CPU fan and work with EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0. I also have some additional things to look out for: No LED colors unless it's blue, must be compatible with an ATX Mobo, and lastly no case window. Thanks a bunch folks EDIT: Also I don't really want to pay any more than $60.

I'm 18, so I remember when Vista launched, and I remember everyone hating it. I wasn't old enough to know why though. Every time I had used it it seemed just like XP but looked nicer and had some cool features (like aero snap). Why was it seemingly universally hated?

With smaller coins easier to mine then Bitcoins it's sorta profitable if the market is right so I was wondering what type of hash rates does a Fury X get? I don't plan to get one just wondering. Does the HBM do any good or worse? AMD was top dog back in the Bitcoin craze. Also does anyone here still ZiftrCoin Mine? The price went from $.5 to $.001 but now it is back up to $.06.

Hear me out had an HDD 2.5 that had some bad sectors verified by Partition Guru and the Hard Disk Sentinel showed it had 55% health .Thus i started repairing it with PartitionGuru and all bad sectors that it had were removed sucefully . However the heatlh of the HDD went from 55% to 4% according to Hard disk sentinel why that happened? Thank you for any info
