Finished my new build a couple weeks ago. Been running fine, but just today noticed this white stuff on the back of the PSU. I know PSUs have glue, etc. but I'm almost certain this wasn't visible before, which is what caused my concern. Is this normal?

This computer has been a work in progress for nearly 3 years, and probably will forever be one. But before I am almost completely happy with it, there are a couple things I plan on adding in the near future. First, I want to change the overall look of the computer, beginning with the fans. Currently there are 3 extremely bight blue fans in there, and they look cool and all, but in my opinion they really don't match any of the components. Instead of blue, brown, gold, white, and basically every other color in the rainbow, I am going to go for a white and black looking color scheme.

Hi! So today I've finished spray painting my mouse (Chillblast aero rgb gaming mouse) and I can't get over how damn good it looks now I want the community to give me a rating of the mouse on looks /style and colour combo. This was my first time actually spray painting so I want everyone's ideas and tips and improvents I could do for future preferences. I'll give you an original and after. I spray painted it because it will fit my white keyboard and my Japanese blossom tree desk mat! (Also the mouse hasn't been reassembled but the shells are there with the base)

Hi everybody. I have recently finished a new mini-itx build (see parts below), but I have some problems with it. I can't get a post. When looking at the motherboard I can see that the white Q-LED is on. Which in the manual states that it's a VGA problem. It is going yellow (DRAM), red (CPU) and then solid white (VGA). All fans are running and it seems like the system is running fine. I have tried to change the video card to another (identical) card with the same result. I have a RTX 2070, but I can't fit it in the case because it's too wide so it can't fit. I checked all the cables both power and all the others. I have tried both DVI output on the cards (also the other card), and I get the same result - also tried different ports on the monitor. No post - white QLED. I was worried that it might be a power problem, so I disconnected all the SATA and tried again, but with the same issue. Have also tried to take one of the memory sticks out, and only booting with one. The WD blue is mounted on the back, which results in that the PCIe is only running x8 instead of x16. But to my knowledge this should not be a problem? To my knowledge the motherboard should be ready for the 2600X - the packages says 2000 and 3000 series ready. It consist of the following parts: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/z64Fp8 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450-I Gaming Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Aegis 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive Storage: Seagate Constellation ES.3 3 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Storage: Seagate Constellation ES.3 3 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2 GB Video Card Case: Fractal Design Core 500 Mini ITX Desktop Case Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA GA 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: Asus BW-16D1HT Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer There is no OS on it so far. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: - Gaming, a bit of AAA gaming... - Insurgency Sandstorm, Deep Rock Galactic, Doom Eternal, 7 Days to Die, etc. - VR gaming (Quest 2, Rift). - I might get into developing VR games? Why are you upgrading: - Running a 8 year old build I got help with in college that I've only upgraded with a 1080 GPU and replaced the CPU heatsink on. - Would like a build I dont touch for a few years again and the new AMD GPU and CPU look nice. - Existing Build: PSU: Antec NeoECO C NeoECO 620C 620W ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply MBoard: MSI Z77A-G41 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS Case: Antec Three Hundred Illusion Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW DT GAMING ACX 3.0, 8GB GDDR5X, RGB LED, 10CM FAN, 10 Power Phases, DX12, 08G-P4-6284-KR CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.2 GHz LGA 1155 77W BX80637i53470 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP16GX3M2A1600C10 Storage: Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive, SAMSUNG 830 Series 128GB Solid State Drive Notes: I've never messed with OCing or having to adjust RAM frequencies and such things. Should I just buy a prebuilt? I would like a front USB-C for linking my Quest 2. I also am interested/pondering strapping it under my sit/stand desk. I could take or lose RGBs, as long as everything looks neat and clean. I like the idea of a White build. I like the idea of a SFF build. Hey guys. I'm thinking of getting a black and white laser printer in the near future, as the prices I have to pay for ink for my current printer are outrageous. I've heard that toner is more economical in the long-run, so I'm hoping to save some money. My budget is in the $100-200 range, so I'm not looking for anything fancy. Printing is really the only function I need, but scanning capabilities would be a welcomed addition. I'd also like the printer to have duplex printing capabilities (the thing that automatically prints double-sided). Since I don't spend my free time looking at printers, I don't know which brands are reputable and which ones I should avoid. If someone could inform me about the reputability of printing brands that are out there, I'd appreciate that. Thanks!

I'm new to the forums and just want to sell my unused white Areocool DS Cube case. I also have an open box PNY GTX 650 1GB, its a terrible card, I know. My priority right now is the case though. Let me know about any good ways to sell my stuff other than Ebay and OfferUp.

So I've chosen this case HERE for my new build, which comes with 1x120mm exhaust fan, out the back of the chassis, however I am looking to replace this with custom fans. There is enough space for six fans throughout the whole of the chassis, so if possible, I'd like to fill them all up. I've been looking into these fans HERE however I'm wondering if there are better alternatives, for a similar price point which also include LED's.

I am looking for something like the ubiquiti WAPs linus uses (like these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015PR20GY/ref=crt_ewc_title_dp_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AXZ9GN0Z8UG6 ) on amazon (US). These would work, but I'm wondering if there is anything less expensive somebody can point out. I am looking for white, ceiling mountable, and AC. Thanks.

So i made a post about a week ago where my gpu started acting weird. (That Post) I got a refund yesterday but i got some tips saying it might be the PSU that broke my gpu and i should not start the system untill i checked it. Today when i started taking it all apart and clean it i noticed something weird that looked like white smelted plastic on the coils of the PSU What the s**t is this? has anyone seen something like this in a psu before? Something that looks like a heatsink also looks very bent for some reason. Talk to me fam. What is this?

So on a laptop I have in the house EA's Origin only shows a white screen when I turn it on. I have tried reinstalling and I got a white screen there as well! Running Windows in Safe Mode with Networking finally let me install Origin "normally" but once booted back I got a white screen again. Tried to install a game while in safe mode (the idea was that origin starts with the system so when you click on a game shortcut it would launch). No luck. Got a error message. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Just thought you guys might find my custom designed computer case interesting. I am not sure if this is the right place for this stuff, but I can move it if necessary. If you have an comments or questions feel free to leave them here. I had a lot of fun throughout the project and may make a build log when I start my build inside of it. I would encourage others to design their own cases, just be prepared for the time commitment and you will likely need about 3 times as much material as needed to make one case, as mistakes will be made (Even my final version is far from perfect). If you are interested in making The case was made out of 1/5" plywood and 1/8" acryllic panels, cut on a laser cutter and held together with 4-40 screws and nuts. Specs of case: Horizontal Micro ATX Motherboard Two 360mm radiators in basement (Lots of room, could do push pull on super thick rads) Two 120mm fans on top 14.5x17.25x12.5 Supports Two HDD (Will just place hdd cage in bottom) and unlimited ssds (Will just hang loose, I am lazy) Supports 120mm pump mount (Basement has 120mm fan holes) Switch mounted on desk for clean ascetic and then I did not have to buy an ugly front io set Problems I encountered (Look out if you want to do something similar): Plywood panels were too thick for regular computer screws, had to countersink I made lots of simple mistakes, ended up using about 3 or 4 times as much material as expected Huge issue finding rear io information, all other specifics were on formfactors.org Correct spacing from rear panel to first motherboard mounting point (To allow for expansion card metal bar thingy) Bottom panel is only secured by screws, not the other panels, meaning you have to pick it up by the bottom solely, otherwise it will slip out. Should have moved the bottom panel up just a little bit, that way the front and back panels would wrap all the way around the bottom panel's prongs, instead of just on three sides. So here is a video of the case, feel free to skip around: Some Pics:
