I just wanna document my experience with building a watercooling setup on the "cheap". When I had researched parts and what to do I was fronted with one singular and crucial question; buy expensive, branded parts or get unknown branded parts. In the end I had chosen the latter choice (barrow fittings, unknown chinese pump and res, some weird tubing company) and ended up with a system that has served me well since the beginning of this year. the one thing I would not have skimped out on though are compression fittings (if hardline tube) because they have the best and most secure fit in my mind. Here's a pic of my build (first watercooled build btw)

Hello My name is Hari and am about to plan out a water cooled PC and was wondering about the liquid. I am thinking of using some big brand coolant and I was wondering is tonic water would work because of the florescent aesthetic it gives of under UV light but i could not find any other build vlog or blog using tonic water to water cool a pc and was wondering is it an option. Thanks

Hey guys, so I am currently brainstorming on ideas for a custom waterblock. I have some questions to help me gauge where interest lies in current water block solutions. Thank you guys in advance! 1. What is your current waterblock / AIO? 2. What do you like about it? 3. What could be improved? 4. RGB? 5. Does waterblock size matter to you (i.e. if the performance is better, is it ok to be bigger)?

does anyone have any tips?

Hello fellow techies, This is my first crack at watercooling, using an AIO. I am using the Kraken X62 in the NZXT S340 Elite case. I was previously running an i7 7700k in the 70's using a Hyper 212 Evo at 4.7GHz in the high 60's low 70's. After installing the X62 idle CPU temps seem fine at around 27-31 degrees at 4.8GHZ with a water temp of 28, fan speed 50% and pump at 60%. However when I put it under a stress test with Prime 95 it will start in the high 60's and when it starts the second test it will shoot to around 86 and has surpassed 90 at some points all the while the liquid temps sit between 35 and 38 degrees, the fan speed bumps to 55% and the pump goes to 100%. I set the the AIO to performance mode with fan speed controlled by liquid temp and pump controlled by CPU temp. I am using the pre-applied paste that was on the cooler. Would you call this normal? Or is there something I should look into as to why this is happening? Going from air to water with only a 100MHz increase in speed between the two doesn't seem like it should run these temps. If you need any more info do let me know and I will provide what I can. Thanks for any inputs!

This thread isn't really for me but it is to help out a friend. He says his gpu gets to the 100's (celcious). He want to water cool his system. The main problem for him is finding a waterblock for his gpu. Can someone put a link or name to a waterblock that is compatible for his gpu.

Hey guys! I am a European guy who is interested in building pcs. As I am now starting to build computers for clients, I am searching for a good resource to shop for custom computer parts (pin-connectors, sleeving, fittings, pumps, ... you name it) like performance-pcs.com or mainframecustoms.com. The issue with these sites is that they are American and deliver to America only. I have to pay toll and import the parts myself which is quite annoying. Does anyone know a European alternative for these sites as parts from some companies like Swiftech or Bitspower are not even available on Amazon for example. Would be glad from other computer-enthusiasts from Europe (especially Austria). Cheers Fabian

Buy Custom Liquid Cooling Hardware on Amazon: http://geni.us/brgKt This thing is uh... well it's pretty freaking janky. BUT it's actually not as bad as you might think!

G'Day guys! TLDR: Will this stuff https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/649972/High End Current Build 18-11-16 work together Yes or no? Full Story: Alrighty, so, its come to my attention that my current computer just isnt handling games any more, its like 5 years old (Core i5 3550, 8Gb Ram, AMD HD7850...) so, i'm gonna replace it fully. I was going to go for 100% AIO water cooling, then i had the idea that i should just custom water loop which would give me the opportunity to add more graphics cards and what not. So I went to one of the best Computer parts storefronts online for Australia (PcCaseGear.com) and built a system that i believe will work with all the components for a simple Single loop with two rads, I've done some research into each of these parts and they should work, but i need a sanity check Parts List as Follows WISHLIST FOR CONVENIENCE: https://www.pccasegear.com/wish_lists/649972/High End Current Build 18-11-16 COMPUTER HARDWARE: MOBO: MSI Z170A Gaming M5 CPU: Core i7 6700K RAM: 2 x Corsair Vengeance LED CMU32GX4M2A266C16R 32Gb (2 x 16Gb) For total of 64 GB GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming CASE: Thermaltake Core X71 Full Tower PSU: EVGA 700B (FROM CURRENT SYSTEM, Not in cost.) Guys, thanks so much, any response/answer!

Ok so I'm in the process of putting together a new build for myself and I have not built using water cooling before so Water Cooling is new to me however I have helped my mates build their rigs. So I have some questions with regards to the loop. I am looking at doing the build in a Corsair 780t graphite case which I have read can take a 360 and a 240 rad. Now my question is as I am cooling a 6700k and a single EVGA 1080 FTW can I do that with a single 360 rad? The Details of the cooling kit are: EK-Supremacy EVO Clean CSQ (incl. LED diode, mounting- & thermal material) EK-CoolStream RAD XTX 360 (Triple) EK-FAN Silent 120-1600 RPM (3pcs) EK-DDC 3.2 PWM Elite Edition (incl. pump holders) EK-RES X3 150 PrimoChill PrimoFlex™ Advanced LRT™ 13/10mm (2 meters) EK-CSQ Fitting 13/10mm - G1/4 Nickel (8 pcs) EK-Cable Y-Splitter 3-Fan PWM (10cm) ATX bridging plug This is the kit: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-kit-x360 Any help is much appreciated. Hey guys, After coming home and parking in the street near my house after work, it was raining really hard. I was using my Galaxy S7 phone as a flashlight (because I needed to find my keys, doorknob, etc.) but I heard about how waterproof the S7 was so I didn't think much of it getting wet. Anyways, when I got in the house I wiped off all of the water on the outside of the phone, and put it straight on the fast charger. When I put it on there it said that there was moisture on the inside of the charging port and that I needed to dry it out. I followed the troubleshooting tips on the Samsung website by gently shaking the phone so as to get the excess water out of the charging port, as well as gently blowing into it. I waited a half hour before putting it back on, and it started charging, only exception is that it would only regularly charge, and would not fast charge. Strange. When I woke up this morning I tried charging it again, but again, it would only regularly charge and not fast charge. I made sure the port was absolutely clear of water, as well as made sure that fast charging was enabled in settings. Check, and check. Now it still won't fast charge, and I couldn't find anything online on how to fix it. I could really use some help. Thanks all.

1. Budget & Location So far I have purchased everything but my Case and Liquid Cooling AIC. I do not know enough about custom liquid builds to take on that adventure. Corpus Christi, Texas I have purchased EVGA Z170 Classified K , Intel i5-6600K, G. Skill Trident Z DDR4 3400, I have 2 ssd's, and 1 3.5" HD, 1 CD drive, EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1070 2. Hey guys, quick question about this new rig I just built. I didn't realize until I was finished with it. But my CPU water cooling pipe is touching the top of my GPU. I'm just curious if this is a big problem or not. Just the corner of the pipe is touching it so it's not like the whole pipe is on it.

WARING TO ALL FIRST TIME BLOG FORUM CONTENT Cooling system only not the computer. Okay something a bit out there why not have a water tank as a waterfall rad, art and a way to cover the sound of the computer fans and water pump. The pump could even be in the tank so all noise it being absorbed bye the water in the tank. You can keep a eye on the water and what it is doing in your computer and or adjust what you need to do to keep it all good inside and out of the computer. Fish and shrimp that could be a bit of a question. 1 Bactria will it destroy your heat sinks? 2 Having the water make up be affected bye plant life and food 3 filtration all will have a play in this set up some information on this topic https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooling_pond http://permaculturenews.org/2014/05/16/keeping-cool-without-air-conditioning-part-i-the-cool-pool/ Added features 1 Even cooling or warming a room 2 Reduction of dust in the air 3 Reduction of stress 4 Clean air from plant life in tank

Hello guys, After @Slick did the awesome video on the Joule, I decided I wanted one! Now 200 USD isn't that bad of a price, especially considering what one will spend on PC parts But to a 18 year old in college, with a average paid job as a cook, It's just...not as appealing But the concept is pretty simple! There's got to be someone who's made one right? Well, yeah! I've found a bunch of well documented build logs where people have made the same thing for less than 75 USD! But all of the solutions I've found still lack what IMO makes the Joule so appealing! And that's the ability to control from the app on your phone! Now, I've found a few builds where a web interface for monitoring was made, but I also want to be able to control my cooker remotely! What I'm looking for, isn't difficult. But I have no experience with either a Pi, or and Arduino What I want to do is combine this tutorial I found. But add some features. Like using a heating element instead of a crock pot to make the unit portable and usable in different containers. Adding a circulation Pump. And linking up a Pi to be used as a web interface that will allow monitoring and control of the temperature from a remote location or just adding code and a WiFi enabled board to the Arduino. Basically a BrewPi I guess, but I want to be able to build it in a elegant looking container like the Joule. But, I don't know where to start I would like someone who knows the in's and out's of these control boards to help me out! Or maybe we can get Luke and Linus to take their best shot at it for our entertainment! Hopefully I can find help here! ~NerdNinja TL;DR I need help making a feature rich DIY Sous Vide Cooker with Arduino and/or Rasberry Pi

Push/Pull Possible In The Top Of NZXT H440?
IckleOP posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I have an NZXT H440 case and I would like to get a Corsair H100 V2 to pair with the 6600k I plan to purchase. My question is can I do a push/pull in the top of the case without the fans interfering with the top of the motherboard? I already have every fan slot filled up in my case with LED fans and I would like to be able to but the LED fans on the bottom of the rad and the SP fans it comes with on the top. I would prefer to not have to buy a seventh pack of LED fans but if I can if I must. Thanks. -
4 days ago I spilled a glass of tea down my pc...... The pc was running and it quickly shut off by itself, I unplugged everything and dried it of with a hair dryer and some towels. I also took out the graphics card and RAM.... I come home after letting it dry for 3 days and try to get it working.... Everything powers on except the graphics card, I try with another graphics card and have no luck there either, I then reseat the RAM and all of a sudden It works. All is fine for an hour while play GTA but when I exit them game the monitors turn off and the graphics card does the same, the rest of the system seems to be powered on. I restart the system and everything works The same happens 2 hours later while playing csgo with friends. The rest of the night I have no problems. But this morning when I tried to turn it on, the graphics card yet agian won't power on.... What the Fuck is going on here?

Hey, I acidentally dropped my Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) in water for like 3-5 seconds. It turns on, and I have wiped off all visible water and put it in rice. However, the screeen does not register my touch at all, so i cant even unlock or do anything with it. It have been sitting in rice for about 18 hours now. Any idea on how to rescue my phone? Thank you

I need to decide on a fan layout with my case. Of the two pictures what would be best? front and rear intake and water cooler exhaust? or like in the other picture with only one exhaust? I also have a gtx 1080 in the case One more question. Does it matter if the fans are push or pull? pull would be easier to clean but I feel push would be more efficient. Thanks.

Hi, am looking at a gtx 1080 on amazon by zotac awesome price comes pre installed with waterblock. however i've heard a lot of bad things about mixing metals in your watercooling loop. the card is a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 ArcticStorm 8GB GDDR5X Liquid Cooling Waterblock can someone tell me if the copper and aluminium mix is going to destroy it or if i were to connect it to a loop with a premade CPU watercooler would it damage that?? thanks

I build my pc 2 years ago and used a Corsair h80i for my CPU cooling everything worked untill today, when i came home and started my PC it crashed while trying to load my about 50 Chrome Tabs, which gave me a bluescreen (windows 10). I had no clue why this happened so i tried booting it again which resulted in an instant crash and every time i would try to start it it would just crash again. After some time i tried removing my Ram and putting it back in. My PC then was able to start and not crash again for about 2 hours of playing The Division but my Fps got lower and lower and i got a lot of stuttering. After a while i took a look at my temperature and every program tells me that my CPU is running at 90C°. Then i opened my case and took a look inside: my Cpu block was warm and so was the tube leading to the radiator, the lower bracket of the radiator was warm too but the radiator itself is cold. Im still not sure if its really the CPU thats the problem since my fans are not going faster and often get wrong results using programs to check temperatures. (I used RealTemp and Core-Temp) Im sorry if i made some mistakes in spelling or grammar but im in a hurry. Would appreciate every kind of help.

The thinnest one I've found is the TD-03 Slim from Silverstone - clocking 37 (Radiator and Fan) + 39.5 (Water Block) totaling to 76.5 mm total. The only problem is - I need one that is less than 67mm. I think a great amount of size could be taken off of the water block - but I'm really new to water cooling.

I know that most air coolers have recommended TDPs - but haven't been able to find any for Corsair's products - specifically their H90. Do water-coolers have TDP ratings? If so - what is the H90s?

So I was thinking of a new PC idea, and think Liquid cooling is really cool, especially Hardline Cooling. The only concern I have is for a person that is new to Liquid Cooling a PC, would it be better for me to go with an AIO that doesn't look as great, or go full out and try Hardline Tubing. Thank you if you can help me out some on this topic.
