pump DIY Water cooling - Pump flow per hour
Gawron10001 posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Hey, I'am making myslef DIY water cooling system, not to cool my system, only to check if DIY can perform any well. And here is the question. How much flow per hour/minute should pump have? I know pumps have usualy 500L/h, but want to know, what is the minimum. Can it be 3 or 2 liters per minute 180 / 120 per hour? Anwsering eventual questions -I have normal pump -No, I won't use it because i want to do Whole DIY build /Kacper -
Hi guys, I want to overclock my I7 7700K, and would like to water cool it. Do you guys have any suggestions for Water coolers? Other PC specs: GTX 1080Ti 16GB DDR4 Z270H Thanks in advance, Luke PS It's an enthousiast build, so price shouldnt really matter

Hello! Should I upgrade my current CPU cooler (Be quiet pure rock) to a more "premium" water cooler? The reason why I even started to think about upgrading is, because summer is here in sweden and I want my PC, focusing right now on CPU to stay cool. My question to you experts out there: - How much lower would an i7 7700k be in temps from my current cooler, to a liquid cooler like this https://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2/258-6905210-59... - How much quieter would the liquid cooler be? Or would it be louder? - Is it worth the price? My i7 7700k right now is running at around 75c (not overclocked) when playing games for hours, it does not go above 75c, I have made sure using perfect fan curves. But I would of course like it to be lower, but making the fans on the pure rock go faster for lower temps, makes it suuuper loud. So, is it worth it? -thanks More about : a

So before I buy a liquid cooler, I want to be 100% sure on everything, I think I understand how to install it, but heres some other questions: -how big of a differance is a 240mm radiator vs 280mm radiator? - Putting the radiator at the front of my case, using the fans as intake, which side of the radiator do I mount the 2 fans on? Does it matter?( not which side is intake and which side is exhaust on the fans, but which side to simply mount them on the radiator) - Is there anything I need to be "careful" about? I've watched some youtube videos where it's said that the liquid can spill out, that sounds scary! How often does that happen? -Thanks, keep in mind this is all new to me, so try and be as clear as you can in your answers!

Earlier today i made a post about fixing a Google Pixel XL that has been dunked in water, We've decided to just take our chances with a non-OEM battery. The problem now lies with sourcing this battery, If anyone knows where and how to get a replacement please comment below. YES i have already tried rice and NO it does not work. If you don't know anything about phones don't bother commenting or telling me advice that will never work like rice or just waiting.

Hi! I was wondering, what is it when you have a air cooler AND a liquid cooler working together? I was looking into this, http://www.bequiet.com/en/watercooler/732 It looks like a air cooler, but with a mix on liquid cooling, but it's not full on liquid cooling, so what do you call a mix of it?

Hi all! I just upgraded my CPU cooler from a Cooler master 25GBP air cooler, to a nice NZXT Kraken x42 closed loop liquid cooler. I did this because under heavy load my processor (i7 6800k) would reach temps of around 93C. I also wanted to be able to overclock my CPU after I upgraded, so I bought this neat piece of kit! After spending 9 hours last night setting the thing up (I had some problems Check previous post if you're interested in my stupidity) I had it up and running. So I started stress testing it with Prime95 to see if everything would hold up. I was only able to run it for about 5 minutes before temps came to about 91ishC, and kept climbing.. not very fast mind you, sort of creeping upwards. The only reason this leads me to believe something is wrong is because I see other people using Prime 95 to stress test and they are able to run their program for hours and hours on end... maybe I'm stress testing wrong? Or I'm choosing too high a setting and its too much for my CPU? Im not really sure.. I could have even done something wrong when installing the thing that I couldnt find a place for it to go, its a small bracket that said should go on the back of the motherboard but I couldn't get it to fit... As I am righting this I'm starting to think it should have gone on the front of the Motherboard and then the standoff screws go on top.... I wont take any action just yet, ill wait for someone with more knowledge than me to help me out! Last thing I want is to break anything lol. Attached are the benchmark results from both before and after I upgraded the Cooler. Thanks in advance for any help you guys give! Its really appreciated. Hello, Long story short: my girlfriend spilled a lot of coffee all over her laptop (Asus F540L) and now we try to fix it. The laptop turned itself off in seconds, immediately tried to boot automatically but turned itself off again even before windows was loaded. After most of the Liquid was drained the laptop spun up for a few minutes but the screen stayed black and you couldn't force a shutdown I already disassembled the laptop removed the front-cover with keyboard, battery, HDD and optical drive because Asus customer support declared that the warranty isn't voided by opening up the computer. We removed the all coffee stains with distilled water and Q-Tips and are now planning to go to the next pharmacy to get rubbing alcohol for proper cleaning. I now want to ask if there are any other recommendations to assure the best possibility for the computer to be still working after proper cleaning and drying. Thank you in advance! Greetings, Markus.

So I just finished up my liquid loop and I have been doing some temperature testing, and while my gpu (R9 Nano) sits at 45C at most, my cpu (4790k) will heat up to 60C while playing league of legends, and 65C in games like GW2, BO3, and DS3. In the intel extreme tuning application, under stress it hits 70C max. Now, I get thats under an artificial load, but in LOL for example, is it normal for it to sit so high?

I have a Cooler Master Seion 120v. It's about 2 years old and used to work just fine. But now if i shut down my pc and then proceed to boot it after a while or right away as well it doesn't turn on the pump. The fan spins fine and it boots, but it gets super hot and shuts down. It boots and shuts down at least 3 times before i can hear the water go through the tubes. I cant put it to sleep and then go back with no problem. It only happens if i turn it off completely. So I'm going to be upgrading my Wraith Spire cooler to a full AIO cooler now the temperature is getting higher in my room with summer coming round and I wondered what the best AIO is in everyone's opinion, preferably a 240 or 280 configuration. I am running a Cross hair Hero Vi so I can run an AM3 cooler

I'm on the last steps of purchasing parts for my build, and I am unsure on how to proceed. I am building in this case because it is the smallest practical matx case i could find: http://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=26 I am going to buy a gtx 1070, but am deciding between a combination of parts. Either I am going to get the evga ftw hybrid, and a corsair h60 for my 7700k, or I am going to get a h100i v2 for my cpu, and an air cooler gpu. Since my case is rather small, I was wondering if it is worth for me to get a watercooled gpu and downgrade the cpu cooling to a 120mm aio, or if i should get the 240mm aio for my cpu. If I get a 240mm water cooler, should I get a reference styled card with the rear exhaust cooling, or a normal gtx 1070. Is my case large enough to cool a gpu like the the zotak gtx 1070 (which is on sale)? Thanks for the help.

I was looking for a GTX 1080 ti to purchase once I (hopefully) save up enough by the summer (I also need an upgrade soon so I can sell my current GTX 980 to a friend). I was really intrigued with the design of the EVGA hybrid series a while ago but they have a hybrid GTX 1080, sadly no GTX 1080 ti...) I recently saw Corsair/MSI made their version of the GTX 1080 ti hybrid. I don't know if I'm ready to custom loop my whole system (I might consider it, but I'm still skeptical to do it on my current build), are these 'hybrid cards' a good solution to push the power of my GPU?

In my rig i have a 6600k cooled by a H110i GTX from Corsair (i know its overkill don't worry) but the tubing off the cooling block is really stiff and i would like to know if anyone has experience with "taming" the tubing since its very stiff and i want to keep the tubing off the case window. In the pictures you can see that the tubing is a but close to the window and i would love to have them sit basically above the GPU and the radiator but I don't have any ideas how, thanks in advance!

Just a rather curious question, I have already googled it but didnt find anything, I recently got a DEEPCOOL GENOME II from a friend who just dint like the idea of water cooling so he just boguht a new one. and i was curious would it be possible to remove he helix water tubing and replace it with different tubing? if so how would i do it?

Im doing a very compact build and every bit matters, does anyone know the thickness of EKWB FC blocks? preferably in mm

byalexandr's Define Nano S - Stainless Steel Hardline Tubing
byalexandr posted a topic in Build Logs
Hello all! It's been quite a while since I've been on the forums, at least in the main part of the forum (hello users of The Garage in Off Topic). Due mainly to my car costing me a lot of money, I haven't been putting much attention into my PC. My car btw: But all that is changing, I am putting my car on hold for now to work on my beloved system that I have continuously improved upon over the years (which started as an HP Pavilion desktop!). This is the current state of the system. No GPU, as I sold the 1060 I had in there. Running the system using integrated graphics. Specs are as follows: Intel Core i5 4570 AsRock B85M-ITX AData Premier Pro 16GB DDR3-1600 Samsung 850 EVO 500GB Cooler Master Seidon 120V Define Nano S EVGA BQ 650W Pretty standard stuff, save for the no GPU part. Obviously I haven't even touched the system, still have some stickers on the front and stuff. So what will this build log consist of? Well, first off we need new hardware. This Thursday I will be ordering the following parts to get my system back as a top performer: Intel Core i7 4790K PNY GeForce GTX 1080 Founder's Edition WD Blue 1TB (since I need some more storage as well) That should do it for the hardware upgrade. I play at 1080P 144Hz so I think the 1080 is a good fit. Now, for the liquid cooling part, which I'm sure most of you are here for. I will be using the following components, will order them in a couple weeks as I can't afford the whole thing with one paycheck EK Supremacy MX CPU Block - Acetal EK FC1080 Full Cover Nickel Plated Copper GTX 1080 Waterblock - Acetal EK FC1080 Black Anodized Aluminum GTX 1080 Backplate 2x EK CoolStream SE 240 Dual 120mm Radiators EK XTOP Revo D5 PWM Pump EK Res X3 150 Reservoir Koolance 13mm OD (1/2") Rigid Compression Fittings Black Koolance 13mm OD (1/2") Rotary Elbow Rigid Compression Fittings Black Koolance Nozzle Socket Plugs Black Mayhems Biocide Extreme 15mL Concentrate 1/2" OD .430" ID .035" Wall Annealed 304 Series Stainless Steel Tubing (Several Feet ) 5x EK Vardar F1-120 1150RPM 120mm Fans So the plan is to have a mostly black theme with the stainless steel tubing serving as an accent. I will keep the same white LED lighting (that for some reason looks very blue in that photo I took) to illuminate the case. The stickers on the front will most likely be removed, I thought it looked cool for a while but it will mess with the clean look I'm going for. I haven't entirely figured out the tubing runs yet, but Paul Hardware's Hot Box 2.0 is serving as a strong contender for how I will run my tubing. I'll post more detailed plans for it later on as we actually get started. That's it for now, this Thursday I will for sure be ordering the GTX 1080 first, as I am in desperate need of some video games. Stay tuned! Leave you comments below, suggestions and ideas are always welcome. This is my first custom loop after all! -
So I have an old case lying around there and it had a lot of dust, since it has nothing inside I dissasembled the front USB ports and the power / reset button and cleared it with a lot of water. I planned to put my PC there since the new GPU I got doesn't fit in my current case. How much would I have to wait for it to completely dry? Do I need to take any other careful measure before moving components? Or was this a really bad idea? Thanks!

This may seem like a pretty dumb question but I don't care ill still ask it, are there any good water cooler starter kits out?

Hi, So I am building a pc and simply don't have room for a reservoir. I know it sounds weird, but trust me I have reasons. I'm actually building it into a robotic submarine, and the enclosure for the computer is pretty tiny. So I just can't find room for a reservoir. Is it possible to not have one, and do you have any advice for me? Thanks! -Seth
