Hi, my names Luke i am new to the forums so if there is any tips you can give me then go ahead. Ok well getting into the point of this topic as you can probably guess i have a fractal design r4 i know that i really want water cooling i have heard the pros and cons of it and the pros and cons of custom loops but i just want a simple closed loop. I have a amd fx 8320 and just stock on there at the moment. So what coolers do you recommenced that will fit in this case and also where as well as the configuration for example dual rad at the top of the case with push pull and tell me if it will like fit in and clearance and stuff like that. Thanks to anyone that replies and helps me out just asking you guys out there that already have water cooling in the fractal design r4. Oh yeah and btw i have no side fan since i got a windowed version.

So just out of curiosity what is the best fitting, radiator, and water block on the market? I'm asking this out of curiosity because me and my friend are going to blow money on a overkill rig for another guy who cant afford a lot of money (you can guess why), so anyways we were planning to build a overkill PC but were wonder about 3 thing,: 1. What is the best fitting for future proof water cooling? 2. What is the best radiator? (We are going to build this in a Corsair 900D) 3. What is the best water block for a Titan Z? Additional Details: -Budget has been drop kicked out the window. -This build is going to be done is the Corsair 900D -We are also using a HPATX motherboard because the guy is wanting to become a 3D rendering engineer thingy but he loves video games more than anything so thats why we got the titan z. -Please do not insult us and thanks for the support!

Plan to do my first water loop. The rig is inside my corsair 600t so radiator space is limited. So i am pretty restricted to a 240mm in the roof and a 200m in front intake. If i absolutely need to, i could place a top rear 120mm rad, but it would probably mean mounting the fan on the outside of the case which i dont really want to do (even though you wont see it. I'll know its there. lol) So does anyone have any experience water cooling Xfire 290s that could give me some guide to temps? It would be appreciated. Also my CPU which will obviously be in the loop is a FX8350 oc to 4.5ghz. Cant remember voltage, but tops out at 55c with the h100i under prime 95.

So I'm making a water cooling loop and I've got everything figured out but the wiring. I've got 6 cougar 120PWM fans to mount onto my 360mm rad in push pull. What do you all suggest for connecting all the fans? All to a fan controller? (I have an NZXT Sentry 2) Or hook them all up to the CPU fan header? OR what else? I was thinking of using 2 channels on my fan controller and connecting the three "push" fans to one channel, and the three "pull" fans to the other. Let me know if you need any extra info, I'll be watching for comments!

Hello, everyone. I'd like to create a new custom desktop in a proper way, starting fresh from the distraught and the mistakes of my first attempt that went bad for me a long time ago. I only want to use this new project build at a $1300-1360 range strictly for gaming. I have like 500+ games on Steam sitting in my library to stress test for later. I will need some assistance in receiving the advice on what parts I should try to keep or change to fit with that budget I personally want to set, so that way I will be happy for my new rig to last me for a few years in the future. Thanks in advance. So, I got a Cooler Master Seidon 120V on an I7 4790K. When I built my system I was basically learning as I did, I literally didn't know what a CPU was... and while i think i did pretty well overall i had a main issue, i bought a crappy case. Now i have a Cosmos SE which is perfect for me but i inhereted the fact that i bought a 120mm rad AIO since it was the only thing it would fit in the other case. Now i am seeing temps issues at higher OCs and i wanted some advice, basically, this is for when i save some money so it isnt for now (I can keep the OC lower while i have this cooler) but in the future, considering all alternatives except custom loops, what is the best CPU cooler overall if price is not a concern and considering my CPU (I wanna buy the best option without being absolute overkill) One particular question I have is if the price difference between the NH-D14 and NH-D15 is justifiable in cooling performance, and also, does a 280mm rad offer substantially better performance than a 240 (the 240 would be SO much easier to fit in my rig, but i can make a 280 work if its worth it) Thanks in advance for the feedback!

I currently have a H60 bought a while back when all the hype was around about them sadly i hate it, Cant keep my cpu cool and the 120mm rad heats the rest of my case up. Soo i wordering if i should stay with these pre made water cooling packs or just get some air cooling ? whats the best air cooling for cpu these days ?

Hello everyone, I've been comparing 360mm and 420mm sized radiators. I personally prefer 140mm fans but that is just me. Anyway I found this German review and according to it... Coolgate 420 > Alphacool MONSTER 420mm ever so slightly. http://www.hardwaremax.net/wasserkuehlung/radiatoren/374-exklusivtest-alphacool-monsta-radiatoren-360-und-480mm.html?start=3 1st picture shows the flowrate of each unit. 2nd picture is temp comparison at 500RPM fan speeds 3rd shows 800RPM speeds 4th 1200RPM etc But on martins review the... Alphacool Monster 320mm > Coolgate 320mm. http://martinsliquidlab.org/2012/04/14/360-radiator-shootout-summary/ What gives? Can both reviews be right? One is better then the other, but in different size ranges? Or are the Coolgate radiators in each review a different model? I can't tell.

So this is my loop atm. As you see I have a long and ugly run (marked with red) crossing 2 times . I would like to have a second opinion how to make this look cleaner and avoid tubes crossing. I'm probably going to switch the two straight fittings (marked with yellow) to 2x45 / 1x45 & 1x90 degree angled fittings. The CPU block is Swiftech Apogee HD although I'm not that into using the other outlets on the block (because of not being able to use compression fittings).

Hi guys, I was wondering if any Youtuber has done a benchmark comparison of Pressure optimized fans vs non-pressure optimized fans for water cooling. I feel like Linus (?) did one at some point. Thanks, Vitalius. P.S. If there's a thread about this already, sorry, I feel like with the search function's varying accuracy and the specificity of my question, I would've found nothing (and did so).

I'm about to water cool my battle-station, I need help choosing tubes. Should I use clear tubes or White tubes? I plan on dying my water light blue for the clear tubes

Hey, its my first post, i'm not sure if i'm doing this right, but here's my question: I'm planing on building my next computer soon. currently i have my custom computer in a corsair 500r, and it is huge. its no 900d but it's still rather hard to move around. so my next build is going to be small and i was looking at getting a silver stone sg09 or sg10 when i comes out. i plan on getting an sandy/bridge e CPU (socket 2011). the sg10 supports matx so i'm probally going to go with the asus matx 2011 mb. but i want it to looked clean, so i'm planing on water cooling it. i'm planing on using a custom loop with 2 120mm, or 1 120mm and 140mm. one rad will be housed on the rear fan, and the other will be placed on the psu fan. these are the options i've thought of to accomplish this: - the psu will be intaking air from the inside, as oppose to from the front side - platinum psu to tolerate the increase in heat - removing the psu fan, and substituting (if the psu fan isnt 3 or 4 pin) with a regular 120mm or 140mm fan. this is so i can control the fan speeds, and attaching the rad to this - along with replacing the fan i'm also thinking of changing the psu fan to either an outtake or intake fan, depending on if i think i can maintain positive pressure. i've also attached a jpeg of what i'm thinking about, if i didn't make it clear enough so these were my options, any suggestions or feedback? link to sg10 http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=392

I turned on the screen and the LCD started to fade out like a light bulb on a dying battery. I put it in rice and see if it will fix it but i think is fubar. Sooo.......How fu*ked am i?

Hi everyone! I am currently building a new gaming pc with a Kraken X60 and a switch 810 and I was wondering about the best way to mount the radiator (2 x 140mm) and the fans to get the best temps. Here's how I think I should do it: white = radiator location blue = airflow direction (don't pay attention to the left rad and the bottom rad and fans, as they aren't present in my case) As I would have 4 intakes and 1 exhaust only, it may not be very well balanced.... Tell me what you think! Thanks!!

What's a awesome looking reservoir (under $100 preferably) I want something like the T-Virus res Linus uses. It should fit well in a Corsair 900D so don't give me some really tinny thing.

Hello, I want to upgrade from my current Air cooler to a pre-done liquid cooling kit. However, I'm not sure which one I should go for. I have an NZXT Phantom case. So, I've been looking at the Corsair H110 and the H100i. I'm not sure if the H110 would be compatible with my case, but if it is, it would be nice. Which one do you think would be better in terms of cooling and compatibility? Any different liquid coolers you would suggest? Thanks!

I've been looking around for a good thermal compund to use and I don't really have a way to tell which one is better than the other. So I was wondering if anyone has had any experiance with different compounds, and what should I look for in a good one? or could someone recomend a specific compound for me?

First time I purchased any pre-built liquid cooling, is it normal that from time to time - usually when idling - my pc make water dripping noises after I installed the seidon. I checked for leaks and found nothing, should I be concerned or this is normal? O.o

This is my first water cooling build and I'm thinking of doing a red themed build, I want to know which is the better/safer/longer lasting way to get a nice red or black color in my tubes. Transparent tubing and red coolant/dye OR Opaque colored tubing and distilled water?

I just wanted to know whether a Tj07 would be able to fit a 480 in the bottom. If so, is it without modding or with modding, and what type of modding would need to be done? Thanks.

So Im going to be making a new build pretty soon and I would like to watercool it in the future. I was wondering which was a better case for both water and air cooling since I will be air cooling or a couple of months while I accumulate some money. I also have a couple of questions for owners of these cases. In debating between the Merlin SM8 in black or the LD-PC V8. Merlin:http://www.caselabs-store.com/merlin-sm8/ Cost:$430 LDPC V8: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/18258/cst-1363/LD_Cooling_Little_Devil_PC-V8_ATXHTPX_Mid-Tower_Case_-_Black.html?tl=g1c547&id=gfv8t4Xs Cost:$515 As for the questions: 1.Are they both powder coated? 2.Do they include all mounting screws for mobo, pci slots etc.? 3.Do they come with optical drive mounts? 4. Are there any add ons I need in order to have fans mounts in all of the 120 slots, as in, do they already have the pre drilled holes for them? Forgive me if my questions are a bit silly, but any answers are appreciated. Thank you!
