Hello Everyone, just a quick question for any water-coolers... Is it necessary to buy a "triple distilled"/ super processed version of de-ionised water like this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/mayhems-ultra-pure-h2o-5ltr-wc-102-mh.html Or is it perfectly fine to use a more cost effective solution of de-ionised water like this: http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/garage-equipment/battery-chargers-jump-starters/halfords-battery-top-up-water-5l Just to clarify, they are both de-ionised water products. It would be great to know if its really worth £13.99 + £10.00 postage over £3.50 and a short drive in the car. It would be awesome if anyone has ever tried using some standard de-ionised water could give there findings here. But general thoughts will be useful too... Thanks in advance.

I just built my first custom loop out of an old closed loop and a tube that i got from Lowes. I have some bubble problems and i think if i got rid of the surface tension that the bubbles would clear out quicker. I know soap will do that but it will also cause suds. I am aware of water wetter as well but i dont want to spend any money if i can help it. I'm just curious if there is any household chemical that would remove the water surface tension without causing suds or destroying my components. Thanks!

Hi I have searched for a while now and havent found any answers so i thought i could ask the comunity and what i wondered was that. In my room i have like a walk in closet that i have stuff in and it's colder in there than it is in the room i think it's about (10-15C) in the closet and maybe (22-25C) in my room and i want to know if i can run my pc there,i am doing it right now but everytime i go to sleep i bring it out because i'm afraid its gonna break my question is should i keep bring it in to my room everynight or can i have it in there over the nights? i know that water is a factor but i dont think it is gonna be water particles because it is not so cold in there but still colder than a normal room, And can i start it when it is cold the next day or should i take it to room temperature and then start it? thanks for reading this long text i apreciate every help i can get!

I have an 780T Case and i want to make this: with hardline? Sorry for my bad SketchUp skills... learning by doing (first try to make sth like this) So my loop would go: PUMP (D5) -> line (with ball valve) -> radiator (26 mm 120 ) -> y splitter -> CPU/GPU -> together with a splitter -> big rad (360 48mm) -> res (EKWB Xres D5) Were could I imporve and what do i need?

So, i'm working on watercooling my PC, though as full custom loops are too high maintenance for the amount of time im actually at the pc (its more of a show-off machine than anything else). I've taken to AIO coolers. Ive fitted my cpu with a Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate 360mm up in the top cooling my i7-7700K @ 5.1ghz and currently have a Titan X maxwell with the stock cooler blowing out of the case from that first pcie slot. Ive ordered a Kraken G10 bracket that lets me mount cpu AIOs to the graphics card, so i'm awaiting that (it will need some tweaking to fit with the wifi / sound cards that are in the slots below), but until i get an actual cooler for it i've got nothing. So, my question is, what AIO will fit from the gpu core itself, and mount in that front 240mm area in the front of the case (it will be intake so the fans will still be there) i have a fractal design arc mini r2 case. TL:DR; I need an AIO to fit from TItan X GPU in the top PCIe slot, to the front 240mm mount in my Arc Mini R2 case.

Hi guys, I'm looking at getting a new case soon, and currently its down to the CoolerMaster Master Case Maker 5 or the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX with tempered glass. Each has aspects about them that I like, the look of the Enthoo, the radiator mounting in the Maker 5 (can hide my ugly Noctua Fans). I am also looking at maybe in the next year or so doing a custom water cooling loop, so I want to also pick my next case with this in mind. Which of those 2 would be better suited to fitting a custom loop in? I'm having a hard time choosing between the 2, so any other insight, or alternative options, would be greatly appreciated!

looking for the most reliable aio cooler
fastcar123 posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
Hey everyone, I'm looking to get an AIO cooler for my system. I'm currently running my fx 8320e at 4.1GHz with temps of 57C on an air cooler. My biggest concern is that I hear about AIO coolers leaking all the time. I really can't afford to have that happen. So I'm looking for the most reliable cooler. I was think a NZXT Kraken, but I don't really know. I know that no cooler is fool proof and there's a chance that any of them could leak. Even so I want to find the best of the situation. I'd also like to buy one cooler that I can buy an adapter for am4 when it comes to market. It's either an AIO and risk a leak or a dark rock pro 3 and have higher temps. Frankly I'm looking towards the air cooler right now because I know it can lead water on my system. let me know what you guys think. -
Hey guys, I need help with my Iphone 6s after falling into the water where it stayed for 30 minutes. (It was my fall not a test). I was in repair shop where they told me that the problem can be becouse of oxidation on pins for battery. But they're not sure. This phone is so special for me, it was gift and the option that i can buy newone isnt the way want to go. So I'm just asking what can i do, if there is any possible way to repair it or what can i try? Thank you so much.

I'm looking at purchasing some Bitspower PETG 12mm OD tubing but noticed that it says "Only Compaible With Bitspower Fitting C47/C48/ML Series". I cant imagine this would be true. According to Performance-PCs website, it says the OD is 12mm and the ID is 10mm. Should this tubing work with the 12mm EKWB compression fittings that I have? Is there any reason that the tubing should be only compatible with their own fittings?

Hi, so I was recently experiencing some problems with my i7-7700k getting too hot using a Cryorig H7 Air Cooler, however I then bought a second hand Corsair H80i (for the same price I bought the H7 for). I am experiencing better temps with the H80i, as expected, but I have a feeling that is because I installed the H7 incorrectly. I had the fan facing the wrong way on it, could this have caused my CPU to get a lot hotter than it should? This was my first PC build, so that is the cause of the mistake And if so, do you think it is worth it for me to go back to the H7 as it is possible for the H80i to leak and damage components, especially as it is second hand, and the H7 won't damage anything else if the fans fails? Thanks.

Legolas, a water cooled and wall mounted Mini-ITX build Picture coming up Introduction: It's been almost a year since I sold my desktop as I was going on a exchange in the states. Now that I'm back my Macbook Pro is not sufficient for my study needs nor my gaming needs. For many years I've wanted to make a water cooled system but it was always hard to justify the price and the case I was using at the time. Now with the PC-O5S I think there's no alternative to water cooling, even if the performance gains are negligible. To make it easier to justify the price of water cooling to myself, I've tried to get some of the components second hand. Now I haven't done that with every component, I want the case to be in perfect condition so that is ordered brand new. However, there is quite a lot to save looking at second hand storage, video cards and monitors, which is exactly what I did. My second hand items though, look like they just came out of their original packaging. You may wonder why I've a Noctua CPU cooler. I choose to get this as I'm not completely sure about what water cooling I'm going to get. So to be able to use my new computer while doing research I opted for this Noctua cooler, which later will be transferred to my beloved NAS. Every since I made my NAS in the Lian-Li PC-Q25B I've pretty much been obsessed with their cases, the brushed aluminium and the tempered glass. It's a pain to work with, to keep it perfect, but when you're done it's so rewarding. The name Legolas is of course from Lord of the Rings but it fits my intentions for this Mini-ITX build pretty good as well. I want to build a good looking build that is still capable of handling pretty much whatever you throws at it. From the very beginning I'm completely aware of potential bottlenecks in terms of temperaturs as the case will only fit a fairly slim radiator in the top. However, with power requirements of computer components constantly decreasing, I'm sure if it can handle my components now, today, I'm pretty confident it will be able to handle the components of tomorrow. Also, I forgot to mention the best part. The case is wall mountable, which I'm obviously going to utilise. Parts list: CPU: Intel Core i5-7600K (ordered) CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L9x65 (ordered) Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z270I Gaming (ordered) RAM: Cosair Vengeance LPX 1x16GB DDR4 2400MHz Black (ordered) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO NVMe M.2 512GB SSD (ordered) Video card: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti SC GAMING (ordered) (arrived) Case: Lian-Li PC-O5SX (ordered) (arrived) Power supply: SilverStone SFX Series SX600-G (ordered) Monitor: ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q (ordered) (arrived) Other: GentleTyphoon D1225C12B5AP-15 (1,850 rpm) x 2 (ordered) (arrived) Other: Lian-Li O5-1X (ordered) Peripherals: Mouse: SteelSeries Sensei Raw Rubberised Mousepad: SteelSeries QcK Gaming Mousepad Keyboard: Ducky Mini Year of the Horse Headphones: Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 6XX Headphones stand: Just Mobile HeadStand Black Microphone: Blue Microphones Yeti Future purchases: PSU cables: Short cable to keep it nice and clean. AIO rad/res/pump unit + custom Full custom loop RGB lightning strip Fan splitter: Not complete sure what solution to go for yet. I will have a maximum of 3 fans in the case. I'm sure when building the system I will gain experience about what solution would be preferable. Pictures: All upcoming pictures will be added to this album. Updates: I will keep this post updated so you don't have to look around for it. I can't wait to get started but for now I have to wait until all the parts have arrived. Feedback and suggestions is more than welcome, especially in terms of the water cooling as it is where I'm more unsure and I lack some experience. Cheers Shaqalac.

Hi. Long time no see. Finally, after five years I got a chance to build my first water cooled rig. Before five years I build my first PC after I worked all summer. All knowledge came from Linus. I discovered him when was searching for GTX560ti reviews. Specs wasnt anything special but for me it was something huge at that time. Core I5 2500K (which I got to 5GHz) Patriot Viper 3 8Gb @ 1866 MHz MSI P67A-GD65 (which died after 5 mounth) Asus GTX560ti Top edition Fractal Design Define R3 (little bit moded) SSD - Crucial mx100 64gb HDD - WD Scorpio Black 500gb Corsair GS600 power suply Noctua NH-D14 cooler Logitech K360 & G400 keybord and mouse Logitech X-530 speakers LG IPS236 monitor I don't even remember the first version of that PC because when I got some money I was searching what to change ect. And then PC was put in second place because I met my then girlfriend now wife. Some parts I sold because life is a b**** but some I reused for wives/my PC which ended up with Core I3-4150 and my old 560ti And from last years January I was back into the game. So I started upgrading wives/my PC. First, I upgraded from 560ti to 980ti (I really like ti versions) Then I added Samsung Evo 850 256gb and a month later, another Evo 850 256gb for RAID 0 And now I finally got a chance to upgrade the rest of my system. When I bought 980ti I already started to think about kaby lake upgrade this January but then wild Ryzen appeared. For a moment I thought about Ryzen but when I realised that it won't be out in January or February then it was only one way and it was Kaby Lake. I couldn't wait for Ryzen because from Marth/April I will have other priorities. When I built my first PC I wanted to watercolor it. But life is life and it never happened, but now finally I got a chance to do it. And my little dream came true. I am a bit proud how this build ended up. I know it's nothing special, but for me it is something and won't stop here. GPU block + 60mm thick triple 120mm radiator and PETG are coming soon so this isn't the final build this is just a start. Oh, and one more thing. We can't think of the name and we're hoping for suggestions. Specs: Intel 7600K overclocked to 5GHz Asus ROG IX Hero motherboard Corsair Dominator 16gb 3200MHz Same Asus 980ti strix 2x Samsung Evo 850 256gb in RAID0 Corsair RM750 power suply Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV ATX GLASS EK-KIT X240 watercooling kit

Hello liquid cooling people. I am considering water cooling the build I am working on and I need some insight from people who know more than I do. I need ideas on how to do the loop because I'm not sure what the most effect loop would be. The three things I need cooled are the two cpus (dual socket board) and the gpu. Would it be best to do multiple loops or one that connects all three? Or perhaps something else entirely? I was originally planning to do air cooling but I am starting to think that having that many fans going all the time is going to bother me and liquid cooling will likely be much quieter. Also I don't have to worry about it looking to terribly special, maybe a little special I mean it is water cooling but the case I am using doesn't have any side panel windows so the majority of the time I wouldn't see it anyway. Thanks for the help

So I've had a prebuilt HP Envy Phoenix 2013 series for quite some time now, however recently there appears to be some sort of noise coming from the computer. When gaming, or when the temps start to get up to 57c (the highest I've ever seen it go on load) I occasionally hear a dripping noise. It sounds like water dripping from a sink. I've checked and there is zero leaks. I had this issue almost a year ago, ended up RMAing the part in question. had it replaced, and now the pump I've had for a little less than a year is doing the same thing, just not as frequently. I see no difference in temps.. everything is cooling as usual. Should I be worried? What should I do?

Hi Everyone, I've decided to build a new computer, the sole purpose of this computer is 3D Applications as well as Gaming. Hence the reason for me not upgrading to a GTX 1000 series graphics card. Here is the build list that I've been working on as a final for the build. I have already purchased the things that are noted down below. What I ask from you is for your help with picking the correct components for liquid cooling the PC as I have had no experience doing so. I plan on using a majority of EK components as a Thermaltake sponsorship is completely up in the air. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TechBank/saved/3mJt6h Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me Can't wait to see what the final Product will look like -Tech Bank

im sure this has been answered but i cant find it the answers im looking for so if you could either point me to a post or answer id be very happy ^-^ ok so my question is typical for watercooling newbies. how often can they leak. im really asking a diy vs aio kinda question. what is the chance that an aio to leak vs a diy kit. i know that if all is done right the chances are slim for the diy but for a newbie i feel it would be more so. and after reading some reviews on lets say the corsiar h100i the fittings on the rad or pump can leak easy so for a guy that just built his first computer, i have an i5 6500 that isnt overclockable but i still like the look of watercooling and i know there some amazing looking air coolers, should i try an aio since its just plug and go or do a diy and make sure to secure all the fittings and tighten (but not to tight) them. im very afraid that it will leak and distroy my hard earned money. it seems to me that diy kits are less pron to leak than aio so i was hoping some people here could enlighten me on how often they received a faulty aio or diy kit. thanks in advance. also maybe throw some some suggestions as to which of both choices you guys/gals like.

I have just noticed that the coolant I use has changed color. The coolant I am using at the moment, is Alphacool CKC clear. I have not added anything to the coolant. No dyes, anti-corrosives, or anit-microbials. I know that things like this are not normal, but I put this loop together late October/early November. Is this corrosion? Chemical leeching of the tubing?

Greetings fellow builders! I just completet my very very first waterloop! Hurray! First of, I had no leaks and I am still trying to bleed my Radiator. I am now looking at some temps of my Zotac GTX 1070 Amp Edition and I don't know wheter they are normal or not. For my Loop: Alphacool X-Flow 480mm UT60 Thermaltake Riing Fans running at ~900 rpm. Alphacool D5 Pump with 250mm Reservoir (250mm Reservoir Pummp combo) Alphacool GTX 1080 M02 Water Block YES I do NOT have a CPUI waterblock in there yet,, but thats only because I didnt have the money to buy one quite yet. I have my birthday in about a week (5.2.) And I will be getting one then. Now for the temps. I don't know if my system is fully bled yet, (Which is isn't, even I know that) While writing this I had Heaven Benchmark running in the background at ultra settings 3440x1440p and the temps now are: 43 Degrees Celcius. In Idle on the Desktop I'm getting around 34 Degrees. Are those normal temps? I expected a little lower(?) At least about 26 or so on the desktop witht he GPU at idle...? Also I felt the water by sticking my finger into my reservoir (Yes I shouldnt do that) and it feels cold. Shouldnt the water be at least about hand warm if the GPU is sitting at 43 Degrees? I mean as much as I understand it the water in the loop will be about the same temp (+- 1 Degree) after a while, right? Well thats that. Now for my 2nd Question My Radiator still has some air in the top, I can clearly hear it splashing in there. How do I get it out? I can't really tip my PC because its bolted to the wall (yeah, looks epic though). Would it be safe to just open the top port and fill some water in there? It cant really drop on any components there (About 30cm to the mainboard, gpu, etc) Or will the water just come flying out like a fountain If I unscrew this? Pew, alot of text for 2 small simple questions... Sorry 'bout that. Anyways, I hope someone with more experience than me (everyone) can help me! Cheers!

I bought the S340 case and am planning a 7600k build in it soon. I have most of the parts picked and want to go AIO on the cpu cooler. Im just not sure which to look at, I was going to go kraken to match the case, but corsair is a little cheaper in canada. Also some youtube videos say the swifttech h220 x2 is good. Just looking for suggestions. Thanks for the help

Has anyone ever water cooled in an H440. My PC is pretty average and has a 970, I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon by I think water cooling will look cool and be a little fun. Does anyone have any experience in that case, it would be my first time water cooling and I would like to know if its easy or not. Any tips would be great, thanks.
