But, when i want to register the date of purchase i hit a problem. today ( on my timezone + when iam typing and posting) 3 Januari 2015. but, when i check the year option on date of purchase there isn't any 2015. only 2012,2013, and 2014. and my keyboard is not an old switch, it's the new switch. Razer "Brand New Key Switch" the green one btw. Can anyone help me to fix this ?? if you have the solution please help me. and if you have the same problem please drop by. I know you guys have seen a lot of advertisement about phantom glass in the past week and a half, but I had to add my two cents as well. For those of you who don't think that phantom glass is worth your time or money, take a look at this: This is my brand new HTC One M8 with a phantom glass screen protector. What you see right there is the aftermath of a drop from my pocket while sitting down onto a laminated wood floor. Not much to look at, but that's still a crack. Now here's the kicker. I knew that PG offered a lifetime warranty on all their screen protectors. However, I didn't know to what extent they would replace a cracked product. Apparently they go pretty far out of their way to make sure you're satisfied because I just got an email from PG saying that they shipped a replacement out and it's on it's way here. Just for that teeny, tiny crack. So, to all you guys that were upset with Linus for his "fawning" over PG in his sponsor spots or even the separate video he made from CES showing how tough the glass actually is, GO SHOVE IT. Phantom Glass earns my vote as the only option you should ever consider for protecting your phone's screen not only because they look and feel so amazing, but also because they will replace your screen protector FREE OF CHARGE for even the smallest of cracks. TL;DR: Buy a Phantom Glass. Open a new tab, head over to their website or their amazon store and go buy one. Now. If they replaced mine for free, rest assured they will do whatever it takes to make sure you are completely happy with their product and service.

I cant decide between the two cards, and they are priced exactly the same. The 390 has the better performance, I know that, but it has a MUCH larger power draw (SoCal $0.40 Kw/hr) and I'm concerned about the RMA service EVGA has the best hands down, and since I'm a high-school student who has little spending cash, and needs to save for a long time I want to make sure my investment is secure. I don't plan on OC'ing the 390 because I don't want to brick and void my warranty. And with the 970 the warranty covers (almost) anything, so i could overclock it. How much performance will I loose going with the 970? I've watched the Jayz Two Cents video on the MSI card (here ), and I'm just wondering how much more I could overclock the 970, and when overclocked how much of a performance gap is there?

Hello guys, I had a problem with a SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD card. After I did some research, it turned out my memory card had a malfunction and went into "write protected mode" ... to protect the data on it. All and good, my data was kept safe... even though i wouldn't expect a "lifetime" warrantied product to die after 1 year of use. So, I contacted SanDisk customer support, gave them all of my details and in the end they gave me a sheet to print and send them my memory card for replacement. You might think thats all normal, but the memory card is in "protected mode" and I cannot wipe it. So I will be handing all of my files to SanDisk and there is some private information on that memory card. ...plus a few ass pics of my girlfriend, which taking them is legal, but distributing them is ILLEGAL! I contacted them again, but basically they cannot send me a replacement without me sending my memory card, which I totally understand, but... please make your stupid memory cards in a way which will allow me to remove the files. I tried everything, nothing works... even on SanDisk forums reps are saying that thats it... The files are clearly visible, not corrupted and can be accessed... you cannot delete them, you cannot format the card... you can't do anything. Any ideas?

I have a HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p199na and it has 8GB of 1600MHz ram. I was wondering if I could add another stick of Crucial 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Ram without voiding the warranty because I bought it on 2/1/15 and it has a 1 year warranty. It does not appear to have a void warranty sticker covering the screws on the outside. I have looked everywhere and I cannot seem to find advice so help would be greatly appreciated as I am sure it will help others. Thanks alot.

Hello I just got a Samsung 850 Pro 1TB but I will not be building my computer for another 6 weeks, the DOA time will expire, so do you think I should register my warranty now or when I build my computer, also what will happen if it is DOA, should I just RMA it under the normal warranty Thanks

I've got a few questions for anyone who has gone through the Intel warranty replacement process for their CPU's. How long did it take from RMA approval to CPU return/replacement? Were there stringent requirements regarding the RMA approval process (for example troubleshooting, extensive reports, etc.)? Were you overall happy with the entire process, or was it like a trip to the dentist? My 5960X has been a great CPU thus far, but the wattage readouts only functioned for ~ 2 weeks when I initially bought the CPU. Not sure if this is a function of both HW Monitor & Intel XTU not able to handle the 200w+ draw from the socket, or if it's a defect within the CPU itself. Even at stock clocks my wattage readouts stay between 1-2w, when it is clearly pulling 150-350w. This has been true for both my X99 Deluxe and my X99 Sabertooth. I initially though it was a problem with my Deluxe, but the same exact problem still exists on my Sabertooth. This really wasn't a big deal to me at first since I was only running SLI 580's and I had a killawatt to get the total system draw, but as I've transitioned into SLI 970's, and I'm planning on SLI 980ti's eventually, knowing the CPU draw is going to be of greater concern to me down the road, and plugging in the Killawatt is not an option unless I move the rig over to my benching station (not enough wall plugs available where it lives). Figured that since I now have another 2 rigs in the house I can use temporarily (and one half built floater almost always around) I can undergo the warranty replacement policy, but that would only be true if it takes 3 weeks or less for the RMA process. Any input would be appreciated.

Hello guys!!! I have an MSI Gtx 660Ti OC PE. I'm having some problems with the fans. Does any of you know if the fans are being covered by the warranty ??? Thanks!!!

Hi all, As someone who is setting up his first watercooling system I am cautious with every step. When selecting a GPU waterblock (which is by itself hard enough tbh) it appears that the word "warranty" often shows up in several forums. This got me thinking and after doing some quick google searches, noone seems to know exactly how this works. Let alone a newbie like me. For all I know EVGA is the only brand that has publicly stated that removing the stock fans and replacing it with a third-party cooler does not void warranty. However any damage done by replacing the stock cooler DOES void warranty. So basically they state: "yes sure, put a waterblock on it. But if you damage it, you take the fall". Kind of logical. ALSO they stated that if anything happens to the GPU with a third party cooler on it that is not "your fault", placing back the stock cooler, safely packaging it and sending it to RMA the GPU is still warranty protected. The goal of this whole thread is to accumulate as much information about these warranty problems from brands as we possibly can. If you have any information regarding this, please share it below as following: - BRAND - SOURCE (preferably a source that is reliable. So an official forum confirmation. Moderator claim. etc.) - Additional Information Every confirmed brand will be put into the list shown below: EVGA [link] MSI https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=174490.0 XFX http://xfxforce.com/en-us/support/xfx-warranty ... ... Thank you in advance! Greetings, Gonzo

I tire of the xperia ui on my Xperia z2. I wish to install cyanogenmod on the device but fear for the state of warranty and repair. If I am to change the operating system, will I still be able to for example send it for repair if it drowns within the guidelines of the ip58 certifications. I purchased it unlocked from NCIX.com a few months ago.

So my friend broke his Samsung Tab 7, bricked it or something, he kept asking me to help him fix it and I was at loss as I suspected it to be hard bricked, few days later he asked me if he should send it in for warranty repair, I said you could try but Samsung will not fix it, because it was rooted and voided the warranty. However, two weeks later, he said he did send it for warranty repair, and they actually accepted it and fix it. Wtf? Since when do companies accepted and repair rooted stuff? What are your thoughts on this matter? Are OEMs embracing root?!

Hi guys, I was planning on attaching a Kraken X41 with a Kraken G10 bracket to my reference cooled GTX 980. My card manufacturer is Gigabyte and I was wondering if doing this will void the warranty or cause any other problems. Cheers.

Hello, everyone! I consider myself reasonably knowledgeable about PC parts (for the most part), though I know there is still much I don't know. However, while browsing some deals on various parts I found this offer on Newegg Flash. In case the link goes bad, I'll put the information here as well: The SSD in particular is a 90GB refurbished Corsair Force Series 3 (model number CSSD-F90GB3/RF2) which is currently being sold for $34.99 USD. Now, I love the performance of solid state drives (I have a small one for Windows to boot from), however I don't have tons of money to spend. There is technically nothing wrong with my storage system right now as my 2TB HDD should last me for quite a while, though I know it's performance as it fills up will diminish significantly. Since I create a lot of content, when I saw this I got excited because, for such a small price, I could at least keep some programs on a SSD so even when my HDD fills up, my workflow won't slow down (as much). But then comes the catch: it is a refurbished drive with only a 30 day warranty. Is it worth paying $35 for? Is there a high chance of me wasting that money completely if it fails in 31+ days (how likely is it that it would fail before I could get good use out of it)? I am basically asking if anyone know a reason why, for $35, this would be a bad purchase. Also, I apologize in advance if this is not the place or way to post this kind of question. I only just recently joined the forums and know there are many helpful users on here so I figured it was worth a shot to get a few more opinions on this possible purchase.

I bought a pair of DT 880s from Amazon (AudioDeluxe) last month and it appears that the right channel connection has gotten loose. I'm getting a very low volume on the right while the left channel is fine. I'm using a FiiO e10 for DAC/amp and I've tried multiple audio files and checked the audio balance. Is this issue covered under warranty as the Amazon reseller AudioDeluxe is supposed to be an authorised seller? If so, how do I go about getting it fixed? Thanks

Hi since most of the time people complain about how lousy some companies are in customer service, share your best customer service experience so far. I'll start with a company i am pretty sure have no problems being in the top of anyone's list. Logitech is legendary with customer service I had an old G25, and the power adapter broke. the warranty was way over, but i dropped an email to logitech asking for recommended 3rd party adapters. But got an email back saying they would sent a new one over. This is despite my warranty expiring at least 4 years back. All i was asked was for my adress and before i can email them a thanks, my adapter had arrived 3 days after asking about it. What great service!!!! So.... what are your stories???
