There was some confusion, however, when Microsoft's Terry Myerson started talking about Windows 10 "as a service." Did that mean that after that first year of free availability, Windows 10 would cost an annual fee? I asked Myerson for clarification after the presentation, and he confirmed that there will be no additional fees attached to Windows 10, whenever you buy it. Myerson clarified that Windows 10 users will still get free updates and support for the lifetime of the OS, exactly like past versions of Windows (like XP and Windows 7's Service Packs, for example). There's no subscription model for updates or support or continuing to use the OS. Myerson's reference to Windows "as a service" simply meant that Microsoft plans to update the OS with smaller, more regular updates rather than the big, chunky updates of past Service Packs. In my opinion I think this is a step in the right direction, I really wouldn't want to pay Windows on a subscription. As well as the free upgrade to Windows 10, that I'm looking forward to doing. Hi all, I've found the wan show on listen FM for android but it doesn't seem to play. Has anyone else found this and does anyone know how to fix it? And incompatible file type? (I really don't know how the world of podcasts work) I'm trying this on a One M8 GPE on 5.0.1 if that helps. Please let me know if you need more info. Cheers in advance.

Linus, Luke you guys mentioned EA as a reference for great customer support. I'm sad to say that may be over. I'm still stuck on Xbox 360, with my workstation/gaming pc slowly inching forward. I refuse to buy another game until it's for my PC. Always loved PC, tired of console lmao. That aside, I'm hoping and praying EA still has customer service based in USA/Canada. But at least for me in reference to my BF3 issues I'm forced to contact what sounds to be an Indian call center. Below is a semi-detailed description of one, three hour phone call. Mind you I waited an hour for them to call. It was a total of four hours. I also was hung up on three times before this, and had to call two other times where I gave up. This is just the call that after a few days of frustration got my issue fixed. Now I'm directed to what sounds like India, since the accent is thick acc hard to understand, along side music my UN-cultured ears believe to be Indian. With "game advisors" who don't even know how to clear a ban list in bf3. Something we've had to call to get fixed for years... it brought to mind stories of fake Microsoft scams. They were rude, not well trained, and unhelpful. I was super nice the first three hours. Finally after being sent from "in-game advisor1", to "tech advisor1", then to "in-game advisor2", back to " tech advisor1". I was then bounced BACK to " in-game advisor 1". Who I finally told I knew had access to the tools required to help me, also that her co-workers confirmed she had, and was simply was refusing to do it. She got angry with me, yelled over me as I was speaking, and just emotionally shut down. I finally told her to send me to her supervisor. He apologized, fixed my issue, and I moved on. Only to have a worse experience a week later. I hope I'm the only one having this trouble. But be warned guys. It actually was EA, they actually were terrible.

Hi all, Just curious about this and if anyone can weigh in, it'd be helpful! What gear is used to film and stream the WAN show? I'm assuming it's not just going into a standard webcam? I feel like there'd be something a little better here, but I might be wrong. I'm sure they'll use some form of audio interface to get both mics in for clearer audio, but I don't think the picture is standard webcam... Also, how are the overlays added on top of the streamed image? I'm assuming it passes through software before being uploaded? Thanks!

Hello, I'm not very active on the forum, but I would like to see Linus and Luke stand up for the WAN show. The WAN show is over one hour and 30 minutes and they and any guests are quite literally sitting the entire time. I have QUICKLY turned my desk into a "standing desk" within 10 minutes. I used a bunch of boxes and DVD / gamecube (medal of honor) cases. My only gripe is my keyboard is too high and tying this right now is NOT comfortable. ok. so first. id like to have maybe a mod/admin make this an official thread because I feel like we really need one for the WAN show. for people post suggestions. mainly because there isin't anything official to post wan show related things. ok now for the actual suggestion I have.: I recently saw this @XTankSlayerX 's work. and I find it really nice. he even agreed to make me a custom background. witch I found amazing . Id like Linus and slick to include a small portion of the WAN Show where they showcase some of the amazing work done by the community like this.
