so first question: can i use mounting adhesive to simply stick a HDD to a wall or will it vibrate to much? or would i be better off using one of these under it to relieve the force on the adhesive? or is there another really cheap option to mount it?

So has anyone been able to find a computer case that is meant to be wall mounted. I know i have seen a few every now and then, but i mean a case that is not a mod project. It would be amazing to see if anyone could find one as well as make a build to go along with it. Really wondering what people can find if they search, as well as what would go in one. Water cooling and lighting would be amazing on one.

I just finished my build inside of a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv and I absolutely love it! I'm getting ready to move in a week or so and my new space is a bit more limited than the one I live in now. I want to be able to get the case above my monitor and behind, off the ground and if possible have the side with the window face out and completely viewable. The case is a bit heavy and with the components it just adds to that. Does anyone here have any experience with this type of idea and how did you manage it?

I'm looking for good wall mount hardware with a rotating arm, longer the better for my triple monitor setup. Are there any better options than this: for the price, I'd have to buy three of them. (current thoughts are to buy three of these: VideoSecu link What I want in one: An arm, longer the better but at least 18+" Sturdy of course Fit on a single stud in the wall, (unless its for all three, I'll adjust if needed.) be able to move, as per an arm for example I'd like, but don't need it to rotate to say, portrait mode. VESA compatible I'd also like to ask anyone using such a setup what their challenges and experiences are with wall mounting monitors. thanks

Hey guys! So I am currently in the planning of my new PC which I will build somewhere around september/october this year. It will feature the latest "normal-priced" Intel Processor, presumably the i7 6850K and 2 of the new Pascal GPUs from NVidia whatever they will call them. Maybe it will be the GTX 1080 or Titan X Mini or whatsoever. I want this build to be special and custom tailored towards my needs, interests and my personality. It will be water-cooled and have a light-show Katy Perry will be jealous of. Throughout the planning process you will be able to read about some problems I will be facing when it comes to PCIe Risers and all the other exotic stuff. If you are interested in following the building process you can bookmark my newly started blog https://steveswallmountedpc.wordpress.com/ Unlike the other wall-mounted PC builders I will be documenting every single step in the building of this project so that future extreme enthusiasts know how to do it because I have had and have many questions when it comes to certain details (more on that on the blog) and I will contact some builders about how they did it. To spare you from the enormous efforts of research I will post every single step on my blog with many many photos. Hope you are interested and I know, this was not an advice seeking post to plan the build but soon I will continue underneath. Keep it up Steve

Hey all, So a couple of weeks ago I got my gaming pc and I thought of building myself my own monitor stand from ikea tables and legs however if i did do that then the monitor would have been to high for my liking, so instead I thought of wall mounting my monitor will some wall bracket. I currently got an Acer G246HLBbid 24" LED LCD HDMI Monitor My budget is around £50 for it, also I am planning to add another monitor in the future (same model as I currently own) Can the bracket or whatnot be from ebuyer as I have full trust in them and I have been using them for years. Thanks,m

Greetings everyone, I purchased myself 2* http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00C99MUHQ and 1* http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00C144AYK in 2014 and also got myself a stand to hold all 3 of them on, the issue with the stand is that it would never hold the monitors on line with each other, the centre piece was always a few centimetres higher than the two side monitors and it annoyed me ever since I noticed it. I recently moved and decided I would like to setup my monitors on my wall but the issue is, I have 3 monitors and a corner desk. My desk isn't currently in its resting place as I need access to the plug socket behind the desk but once I have my extension I will be able to push it into the corner correctly. Here is an image of my desk and current monitor stand: http://puu.sh/mhuT3/8287d8f1b1.jpg I would like for the side monitors to be flat on the wall with the main monitor diagonal evenly between. What would my best option be for the wall mounts at a reasonable price (in England). I have seen items such as: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duronic-TVB1120-Cantilever-Monitor-Bracket/dp/B00PEQNZPM which seem awkward be maybe perfect for what I need.

I actually never had this issue before hand, but ever since I added a second card (A power-hungry GTX 580) the whole upstairs shorts out and powers down the computer and the wifi with it. I was wondering if it was possible to somehow fix this; Maybe getting someone out here to fix whatever the issue is. I'm only about pulling 700 Watts from the wall... Oh and I do fold@home 24/7.. and I cannot let that continue to fail Yes the computer is eating through 700W with both GPU's Pinned at 100% and the CPU pinned at 100% 24/7. I might also add, I have 2 network switches, 3 monitors, all the Wifi components, a desk lamp, and all that. if that helps at least

I'm going to France in about a months time (from the UK) and remember seeing an adapter which had usb outlets as well as a normal socket. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I've been looking for wall chargers for my phone, but all I can find are crazy 4 port 2.1A wall chargers, or underpowered 500 mah single port wall chargers. What I need is a cheap wall charger that will output ~1 amp - 1.2 amps of power through USB. They only need to have a single port each, as long as that port outputs a decent amount of power. Preferably with free or cheap flat rate shipping to Ontario, Canada

So my modem is overheat and I sended for warranty. And you know if no internet = die.So, I plan to use wireless adapter to steal my friend's internet. And I know his modem is placed at second floor. I was holding the antenna and trying to get the best signal strength. But end up with this, taping the wireless adapter on the wall. GENIUS !

hello together I want to build a video wall from old graphics card with vga or dvi output. Total I want to run 4-8 displays. I know there are several good cards from Matrox, NVIDIA and AMD for video walls. For example: Matrox M9140 LP PCIe x16, Nvidia NVS 510, AMD FirePro W600. With those it would bi easy to build a video wall with only one card and expensive too... Now my problem: Is it possible to run multiple graphic boards on a Windows XP or Windows 7 operating system? If so, what motherboard and graphic card would you recommend and what drivers would you download to control the display wall? Thank you for your brainwork...

The Story: I think the best place to start is with a bit of backstory. my parents are remodeling the kitchen, and we were talking about recessing a TV into the wall. jokingly, I said "why don't you just put a touchscreen PC there?" My father thought I was serious, but I realized that it really wasn't that far off, so here we are. The Goal: The Goal of this build is to create a computer where you see the interface, a 27 Inch acer 1080p touch monitor. absolutely nothing else of the computer should be visible, or even known to exist. it should serve as an entertainment hub for the kitchen, providing easy internet access, streaming, live TV, and windows 8 Apps. the final goal of the system is to achieve everything while having a computer that is completely silent and idles at <30 watts The Design: To accomplish our goal of making the computer invisible, it will be hidden in the wall of the adjacent office. air will be drawn into the wall cavity on the office side, down through the wall cavity past the computer and my networking components, and forced out around the fridge, cooling the fridge and also making that operate more efficiently. the system will be covered with a plexiglass or Lexan door, and on top of that will hang a picture, so that only we will know what lies behind it. Front and center of our build will be our monitor, we chose the acer T27HL-BMIDZ, which can be found online for around $600. It is a pricy monitor, but it is sleek, has USB 3.0, and provides great color and viewing angles with an IPS panel, and of course, edge to edge glass with 10 point multi-touch. To power the machine, we chose to go with a Corsair CX430 V2. it's quiet, Reliable, and has 80 Plus Bronze Efficiency to keep it within a small idle power envelope. it can be had for around $40 or occasionally as low as $20 with rebates for the motherboard, I decided to go with a Haswell board that would be reliable, easy to work with, low power, and high value. the closest fit to this i have found is the ASUS H87m-e. it has all the interfaces I need, supports Haswell chips and systems have been reported to idle at around 25 watts with this board. coming in at about $99 our choice of CPU is still a bit undecided, but it will be a Haswell I3 or I5 with GT2(hd 4400 or 4600) graphics. needing little more video oomph than for youtube and angry birds, we decided that Intel integrated on Haswell would be enough, after testing out our monitor on a windows 8 laptop with the inferior HD4000 graphics(on which I am writing this Log) for storage, we will use a 90GB OCZ Vertex 3, which is being transplanted from the main rig for upgrades. It's simple, It's fast enough, and has plenty of storage for programs in this system. additionally, the system will have a mechanical drive for network backups and possibly DVR functionality. to cool the little beast, we will have 4 Cougar 120mm fans pulling air into the wall cavity, two dedicated to the system, two to the network(seperated by a beam in the wall cavity. for our CPU cooler, we plan on using a Noctua NH-L9i, which should be plenty for the processor we use, and keep the system quite quiet. $45 for memory, we plan on using a dual channel kit of two 4gb 1600mhz sticks for a total of 8gb of Memory, which should be plenty for a basic windows 8 system. we expect to spend around $75 for this Sound will likely be taken care of with a pair of In Wall speakers powered by a Dayton audio Class T amp, but that is currently undecided. This is where I plan to hide the components. once complete, the cavity will be drywalled a few inches above the bottom of the picture, and will be a window above that that can be opened to access the computer and network. Components procured as of now: Power Supply: Corsair cx430 Monitor: acer t27hl-bmidz Ram: Corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1600mhz gold SSD: OCZ Vertex 3 90gb

When I mean extension cable I mean literally just the extension of one socket. A single long male to female plug extension (with only one plug port on either end). I know it's not recommended to use a powerline with an extension cable that branches off into multiple sockets but is it fine if I'm literally just extending my wall socket plug? Thanks, Blueprint

So I just came across this thing: Wall of Sound 2.0. It is handmade in Sweden and is a massive box of 44 individually separated speakers, two sub-woofers and a tube amplifier. It consumes 8000W and outputs 130dB. It weighs 178kg and is just under 6 feet across!! My question is, if it is supposed to be a high quality set of speakers, why can it be only controlled by an iPhone? http://www.thewosexperience.com/
