Hello, If you ever wonder how good is the Pimax Crystal here's the last 1-month struggle with it. Ahh, where should I start... Let's start with the positive part, that will be fast. Beautiful display. There's no doubt about that. It does not have any of the typical issues like other "cheaper" headsets like distortions, reflections and similar issues. It's clear and beautiful to play on. One side note, I do see that it does not cover for me the full horizontal view, but that's most likely as I have right now the 42 IPD lens. The DMAS speaker has a good sound, but it's extra compared to what the package includes by default. Well then the negative side, is... everything else. Tracking. Well with the 1.2.2 update, it wasn't good at all, but with the new 1.3.0 update, it's complete trash. It made a lot of games unplayable as it makes you fail in the action. In Beat Saber you will have missing hits, in Master Bladesmith the Bow challenge is an extreme challenge. If it's kept in one place, it may slide away, it will stuck in specific positions. Not pleasant. I even don't get it how they released such a buggy version to the public. Controller. Feels cheap, behaves cheap, looks cheap, and most likely cheap. I had at the beginning smushy buttons which are less smushy now, but I don't feel it better than an Xbox controller's button or equivalent. Also, I have sometimes when the triggers give a squeak sound. Getting low battery warning sometimes in Steam VR while the controller is reported to be fully charged... Comfort is terrible. I don't have that alien-shaped head like the guy in the video who shows how to wear the headset. For me, it lands the back piece somewhere in the middle of my head where it cuts in and after 1-2 hours of continuous use makes pain and numbs that part of my head. Because it's not possible to put it in place, it also wants to pop down always from my head, especially when I have to crunch down fast. Also, as it's front-heavy, it always slips forward on my hair (I have long hair, and it's tied at the back). Do you have to wear glasses, well I have bad news for you then. I have to also, and mine touching the VR's lens. This caused damage to the lens. Light bleeding. With the bigger "comfort" facet mask, I have only light bleeding at my glasses stamps and at my nose as it does not seal at all in that place the rubber thing that should. USB hub. They give a USB hub with the device to slow down the battery drain, which does work and like this, it only consumes one USB from the PC, BUT they used micro USB as the connector for the HUB. After around 3 weeks it's already loosened the connection. Due to the stress that was given by the short USB A to USB micro cable and the headset's cable. However, I did not have to remove the battery to charge it separately. From which the battery. It's hard to remove. You have to bend the plastic clips to remove it. I wonder how long will this last... Software. Not good at all. The calibration process does not set up the guardian walls. Randomly the calibrated area moves when the headset is switched between modes on/off/sleep. Randomly your head height will be on the floor height in such switches. The Pimax software froze down. The firmware update crashed but updated the hardware... (how?) All of this was for 1600 USD (in my case that's 1600€ + tax so it was about 1850€) at least when I bought it. I feel like I'm beta-testing hardware. Like an early access software. And I can call it most likely lucky, as others had more insane issues. (i.e. any other device is connected via USB except the mouse and keyboard then the headset wasn't detected...) It feels like it was designed for a single head shape, pushing untested firmware to a stable version (and no possibility for the user to downgrade), It feels like a joke for this amount of money, and I will see how the currently unavailable features will be implemented. I do understand if some features are not available, but if the features that are available on the release are trash and they even make it worse and can't roll back that is a problem.

Budget (including currency): $500-700 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Main Priority is a simple NAS + Homelab & Automation Management, Secondary Priority is a 1080p gaming PC (with VR in mind) or via Steam Link from other main gaming PC. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Intended Parts List (so far): - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (owned) - bequiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 (owned) - MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 MoBo (to buy unless suggested otherwise) - RX 580 8GB (owned, open to upgrade) - ADATA XPG Gammix D20 64GB (4x8GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 (owned) - Crucial P5 Plus 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 (to buy unless suggested otherwise) - Fractal Design Define R5 ATX Mid Tower Case (to buy due to 8-10 3.5" HDD bays) - 2x WD Red Plus 14TB (intending to buy more) - EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 80+ Gold (owned) No OS selected. Have used Windows 10 extensively and very basic Ubuntu 16.04, 20.04, 22.04. Open to suggestions Hi all! I'd like to repurpose my old 5800X and RAM into a hardwired, simple NAS for backup and remote access, similar to what I'm currently doing with OneDrive. I looked into dedicated NAS' but think this will suit my needs more and for a similar price. I'd use this computer as the central storage for my Plex Media Files, so my 11th Gen Intel NUC (Beelink SEI11) can pull them over the network for ez transcoding and distribution to myself and my few dozen users. Currently have those 2 WD drives connected in a 2-bay USB 3.0 drive to great success. Additionally, I'd like to have some of that storage dedicated for myself and my family's personal files. Likely only needing 10TB for that, for now. I'd like to get more drives, potentially filling out all 10 bays with 14-20TB drives over time. I have a basic understanding of RAID, but my main goal would be to ensure all personal files and media files are backed up. Unless compelling, I don't see a need to speed up past regular HDD speeds. Among that, I'd like to experiment with Homelab stuff, but am only experienced in using Google's and TP Link's IoT ecosystem. I can look up guides for that separately. Lastly and lowest priority, I'd like to have this computer hooked up via HDMI to my living room TV for occasional games, VR to my Quest 2 via wireless (my tried and true router is in room and ready) and/or Steam Link from my personal gaming rig (hardwired to gigabit network, 7800x3D w/ 3080 10GB). I'm curious if I should explore virtualization for this, or if I could pull all this off with W10, Windows Server, a Steam friendly Linux kernel, or whatever you may think. I watched LTT's Gaming Rig & NAS video and it inspired me that this could be possible, though I may need another GPU if going the virtualization route. What do you guys think? I'm open to exploring many avenues and alternatives. I appreciate all your help!

Hello everyone! I have a problem with my current setup that I guess is pretty common for a lot of people: my new gaming PC is in a small room where I don't really have space to play VR without smashing the controllers (and myself) against the wall all the time. I would love to be able to play with my VR headset (Samsung HMD Odyssey+) in the living room, where I have the space. Also now that I have the new PC with a new GPU (Radeon 7900 XT) I wanted to enjoy it to the fullest! :) I thought of a KVM switch that carries an HDMI signal + 2 USBs could be enough (HDMI + USB for the headset and another USB for a bluetooth receiver for the hand controllers), but I have some concerns... To add more details into my situation, here's a small layout: I have a CAT6 Ethernet cable that connects the router (which by the way is the one my internet provider gave away, probably quite bad) with the PC, and another cable that connects to the living room. So here are some questions I have: Will add a KVM over Ethernet solve the problem at all? I'm definitely no expert, so maybe this is just not a viable solution. If it potentially can, then what about latency? Would VR games be playable at all with such a solution? Is CAT6 enough to transmit all that? The VR headset is 2880x1600px at 90Hz using HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0 in HDCP 2.2 and the motherboard is an Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS with 2.5GbE Also, if anyone has a better idea, I'm all open to it! I think I could even potentially put a different cable or install other cables if needed, but that would probably make it more complicated and is maybe an overkill... Thanks everyone!!

I work as a sysadmin for a VR center, and we have 8 Quest 2's connected to PCs via TP-Link AX11000 Wi-Fi. Each PC client has a gigabit connection to the router. The headsets are connected to a 5GHz AP & have a high priority in the access point settings. The whole place works using Virtual Desktop software for wireless VR streaming (native AirLink solution is not suitable for the place because of frequent connection drops). The PCs are equipped with old-school, but still decent hardware (i5-7600 on some machines, Ryzen 7 2700 or Ryzen 5 1600 on some others, and GPUs are ranging from 1080 Tis to 2080 or 2080 Super). Quality settings in VR Desktop were set to Low everywhere, bitrate is 30-40 Mbps everywhere too, refresh rate is set to 72 Hz, Steam VR resolution was set to 70%. The problem is, when 8 people are playing simultaneously (be it Arizona Sunshine, Elven Assassin or Beat Saber – which are not so demanding games), artifacts in the form of choppy / blocky pixels start to appear (I suppose it's because of latency / buffering). When looking to the left / right, big black stripes appear, and after a while stream continues (again, because of latency). Even when less people are playing (2-3 players), the problem persists (which sucks as it ruins the experience). Has anyone encountered such a scenario? Or does anyone have advice on how to organise the network better / change some settings? P.S. I suspect that adding more Wi-Fi routers wouldn't help much, because of so much streaming in the air.

Hello there, I bought a Samsung Oddysey Windows Mixed Reality Headset about a year ago. It has been serving me well and has worked pretty much flawlessly 90%, and the few times it doesn't simply reconnecting it and resetting the room boundaries usually fixes whatever issues. I recently purchased Half-Life Alyx during the Steam Summer Sale. Now, I normally run my VR games off my laptop with a GTX 1650 and a Intel Core i5 9300H. While this setup is not ideal for VR, it has been perfectly adequate for the simple games I have played like Beat Saber and Superhot. I bought Alyx knowing that there was a good chance it wouldn't run very well on my laptop, and I was right. I played for about 20 minutes and the high frame-times and low frame-rate started making me feel nauseous. However, I knew this would have probably happened so I decided to switch over to my desktop with an RX 580 and a Ryzen 1600, conveniently the exact minimum requirement for Alyx. Here are the rest of the specs. CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8MHz GPU: Gigabyte RX 580 8GB (not overclocked) Motherboard: MSI Gaming Pro X370 RAM: 16GB 3200mhz HyperX Fury Storage (where the game is installed): 3TB WD Cavier Blue Power Supply: SeaSonic M12II 620W OS: Windows 10 Home I am running the game at low settings. The reason I don't usually play VR on my desktop is the room that it is in is quite small compared to the areas I can take my laptop too. It had been quite awhile since I last played a VR game on my desktop, but I didn't think it would be an issue. However, after starting VR I was having problems. First, the controllers would drift everywhere and even when they were tracking normally they would sorta shake making it hard to select things. Sometimes they would just go missing for a seconds on end and come back randomly. The worst thing by far however was the headset itself. At least every 30-60 seconds the headset display would say "Lost Boundary" and just freeze, spaz out for a few seconds, and then go back to normal for 30-60 more seconds until it happened again. It is nauseating. Sometimes, it doesn't even say lost boundary, the display will just freeze. You can still look around but it is just a black void around you. By the way, when all of this happens you can also see the freezing on the monitor mirroring the game. I can be pretty sure it is not the headset itself because everything worked fine on my laptop, even when running Alyx. I am also quite certain these issues are not Alyx exclusive as they happen in the WMR House hub place as well, but admittedly not as frequently. Here is a list of things I have already tried based on internet recommendations... Reinstalled Windows Mixed Reality Clean install of graphics drivers Disconnected everything except necessary peripherals from USB. The only things connected are the Headset and Bluetooth Dongle on the back ports and Mouse Dongle in the front port. The only things connected to Bluetooth are the controllers and a bluetooth keyboard. Tried connecting headset to different USB 3.0 ports. I even tried a USB 3.1 port, but it wouldn't even let me launch VR with that without giving me an error, so only USB 3.0. The headset connects via HDMI and my RX 580 only has 1 HDMI Port so I can't really do anything else there. By the way, the monitor I am using is connected via DisplayPort Turned off motion smoothing in SteamVR Lowered the "Quality" Settings in the Windows Mixed Reality Settings Cleared Environment Data from Windows Mixed Reality Settings Reinstalled SteamVR (and SteamVR for WMR) I have USB and HDMI 6ft extensions, and I tried disconnecting those but still the same. I'm starting to run out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to provide as much information as possible, but please let me know if you need anymore information on the setup. Thanks everyone!

I just got a new quest 2 today and it works great except for 1 thing, when I launch games(all from steam by the way with steam VR running) some of them get terrible FPS like F1 23 and MSFS(lowering the graphics doesn't do anything), but games like beat saber do absolutely fine. I have the headset linked to the PC via cable. F1 23, and maybe MSFS give a prompt if you want to launch the game in standard or VR mode when you first start them, I click standard and then "dont show this again" so it doesnt pop up again, however now that i've put it in standard mode, I dont know how to take it out of standard mode and that might be the issue?

I recently picked up playing ATS in VR. Setup was a breeze and everything is easy to adjust. However I have not touched graphics settings. And I seem to have an issue where when I'm still the image is crisp as can be, but when I start to move my head or drive forward it makes everything look like a watering mess. I have zero lag at all it's just the image quality being super watering with occasional screen tearing. I waited to adjust the graphics quality until I talked with someone more experienced in beta VR. And yes I definitely am aware that ATS was not made for VR and everything I'm using isn't exactly stable. However I'm seeing people play this in VR with no issues like mine. I wouldn't think it was a graphical limitation as I'm running an i5 12600k and an RTX 3060 KO and 32Gbs of RAM. I am using it over wifi but my PC is hardlined and I'm no more than 5-10ft from my oculus and even when I'm in the other room playing something like Blade and Sorcery from my PC it runs fine so I'm not thinking it's wifi but I thought the info may be necessary. Thank you!

I need help, I don't know what to do and it driving me insane... Information on parts I'm using CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Motherboard: Asus Tuf Gamining x570-Plus (Wi-Fi) [Bios: SMBIOSBIOSVersion 4602] Ram: DDR4 2x32GB [speed:3600mhz] Power supply: 1000W CORSAIR RM1000e Fully Modular 80 PLUS Gold Windows Version: Window 10 [The issue] After i swap my Graphic card from a 2060 Super, I play a lot of VR Games. On the 2060 Super everything run fine, run smoothly and all. However once i install the 3090 into it and try to run VR I lag like there no tomorrow, and i notice that when i run GPU-Z I notice that the GPU Clock and Memory Clock is not reading at all and show blank (Image to show the issue) I try doing other trouble shooting like uninstalling my graphic driver by using DDU and installing a fresh install of the driver for the graphic card and still give me the same issue. When swapping back to my 2060 Super It act like it never an issue and display the GPU Clock and Memory Clock and never lags in VR whatsoever. Has anyone run into this issue or know the fix to this.. I hope the information i provided and parts along with the bios version can be of some help..

I just upgraded to a new pc and hooked up my samsung hmd odyssey +, everything works except that my left controller doesn't boot past standby mode, I'm able to do button inputs but it refuses to light the rest of the way up and start tracking. the only real applicable difference I can think of is that on my old computer I had a usb blutooth adapter, but now I'm using a "GIGABYTE Z590 AORUS ELITE AX LGA 1200 Intel Z590" motherboard with it built in with an externally connected antenna, which I don't see why that would be an issue though because the right controller works fine without any issues, I found another thread where neither were working and followed the instructions of deleting and reinstalling/pairing the controllers multiple times but still only the right one works correctly, everything did work before on my previous computer without issue and as near as I can tell if anything it should be working better full specs: intel core i5 11600k gigabyte z590 aorus elite ax 32 gb ram (2x16) gskill ripjaws v series pc4 32000 evga 750 watt psu gtx 1060 6gb

I use an HP Reverb G2, a Windows Mixed Reality headset. I play all my games through SteamVR, and it's worked flawlessly in the past. Now when I try to launch Beat Saber, an animation and sound first plays that's similar to when SteamVR first boots from WMR. Then, once I'm in there, Beat Saber resets to my default centre position rather than what I usually recentre to in SteamVR; and I can't open the SteamVR menu, which seems to indicate to me that SteamVR somehow handed the game off to WMR. And then, when I try to play any song, it just blackscreens and never responds again. Custom songs don't load either. Other games work fine, like Hot Dogs, Horseshoes, & Hand Grenades; they don't seem to load up in WMR since they don't exist on that platform. I have tried: Verifying the game files Uninstalling and reinstalling the game I don't even know where to begin to fix this. A friend suggested it might have to do with Windows overriding my AMD graphics drivers, but the support page for fixing that is under maintenance, so I can't follow the steps there. Please help!

My partner has to move his pc tower to another room whenever he wants to use his Valve Index VR. We have tried cable extenders, docking stations, couplers, and kvm - nothing has work. It seems like the dp on his 3 way cable just will not work if its not plugged directly into the pc. We have seen videos of other people who were able to get it to work. We need some help. Its about 10m/30ft distance between the pc and the VR headset.

I might just be too head deep in looking around and trying to compare cards at this point that I'd appreciate some help/advice. My situation is that I'm playing to get a Bigscreen Beyond VR headset and my current graphics card (GTX 1080 Ti) is too old as it doesn't have DSC. So I've been looking into newer 3000 and 4000 RTX cards. For VRAM I know I'm looking at at minimum 10GB, as 8GB just doesn't cut it these days. Here's my current spec for context: Current Parts: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G 8core ~3.8GHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti 11GB VRAM, 8GB Shared memory RAM: 8x2 DDR4 Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming (no wifi) PSU: EVGA 650 GQ 80+ Gold Currently my 1080 Ti is able to keep up surprisingly well with my current VR headset, the Valve Index (1440x1600 per eye at up to 144Hz). games such as Half-Life: Alyx, VRChat, Boneworks, Skyrim VR, and Into the Radius all run at, at worst acceptably, and usually/best without a problem, with only the occasional classic VRChat lag experience here or there. The only reason why I am getting a new card is due to the hardware constraint of the 1000 series cards not supporting DSC(Display Stream Compression). Hopefully if everything doesn't go terribly wrong I'll be able to resell the 1080 Ti to make up for some costs. But that's beside the point. Question 1: I have searched for so many places to find reliable GPU comparison places. All that I have been able to find before I just got burnt out has been the advice that userbenchmark.com is not to be trusted. Which is half of an answer, if there isn't a site to be trusted, is there one that is at least somewhat useful? Or am I better off going to forums like here to get help and feedback? Which brings me to my second question. Question 2: MSI's RTX 3060 Ventus 3x 12GB GPU (newegg link) has caught my eye because of the 12GB of VRAM and the starting price of $300 USD new. I've checked and my PSU is compatible with the card, I am slightly unsure on the PCI Express 4.0 spec of the GPU when compared to the motherboard which when you look at the specs on Asus's website or its Amazon page (the exact page I ordered it from at the time) I believe that the top PCI slot (in sliver) is compatible at 4.0. But I have heard mixed messages on its performance in VR. Especially when factoring in the spec of the Beyond headset (5120x2560 per eye at up to 90Hz), would this 3060 be able to keep up with the headset and the games I'll be using for it? I have been also looking around the 3080 Ti series level as well since I've heard that line get decent praise, but at over twice the price (newegg link with a sweaty amount of filters applied) of the 3060's I'm finding, these 3080 Ti's are starting lowest at $730 USD, refurbished at that. I am very open to other cards that people suggest, I however would prefer to stay with an Nvidia card for the sake of better compatibility with VR headsets and less niche troubleshooting. tl;dr: Question 1: Any good sites to compare GPU's? Or is here/reddit better? Question 2: Would the RTX 3060 12GB be powerful enough to do VR with a Bigscreen Beyond VR headset? Would the 3080 Ti be better, even when factoring in the +2x price jump? I am very open to other card suggestions as well, although I would prefer to stay with Nvidia for compatibility reasons with the Index and Beyond headsets.

I was watching this video about VR headset accessories and during the headphone section the host mentions that the headphones he uses (SteelSeries Arctis 7P) feature the ability for simultaneous dual audio from two different sources. In his example, the headphones are wired via 3.5mm jack to the VR headset for game audio and connected via Bluetooth to his PC for Discord or music/podcast listening at the same time. When looking at the product page there is no mention of this feature, so I had the question... Is this a common function to have for headphones? If not, what other headphones on the market are capable of dual audio like this? Apologies if this is a really easy question/answer, I just don’t know much about this kind of functionality. I am thinking that a pair of headphones would be nice for my VR setup, but I don’t want to just buy these without knowing what other options there are. I understand that a mixer would easily be able to accomplish this as well, but I would like to avoid that since it's for VR. However, I am open to suggestions and stuff like that if you have and any great experience with what I am describing!

so, me not being a fan of me-Facebook, i dont exactly trust the oculus app and what it might be doing on my system (im sure i could go through and block whatever network access it has, but anyways). i already plan to install OculusKiller to free up system resources, but i also wanna know how much i can delete from the Oculus folder, in a similar way i did when i had Virtual Desktop running, where all i had left after was C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support, so at least SteamVR could work properly with my quest. basically, i wanna delete as much as possible so that all thats left is whatever is required to allow steamvr to connect to my quest over a link cable. anyone have any suggestions or anything like that to share?

Hey, guys I recently got a “Meta” link cable for my “Meta” Quest 2 and realized that my PC was not compatible with it. I already don’t have a USB C port on my motherboard because I have a MSI B450 A Pro max a budget Motherboard and doesn't even USB 3 A port which I'm pretty sure it needs because when I plugged it into my PC using an adapter it just charged my headset and was not recognized by my PC. So I was wondering what I should do. I was thinking I could get a new AM4 motherboard but that's a dead platform now and I am running a Ryzen 5 3400G or was wondering if I could run a PCIe Card to get additional USB ports but don't know if my PC is powerful enough or wondering if I should just totally upgrade my system to AM5 or something similar but don't want to do that. Any Advice or should I just return the Link cable and use Airlink instead. PC Specs Motherboard - MSI B450 A Pro Max CPU - Ryzen 5 3400G GPU - XFX AMD Radeon 6700 XT

Budget (including currency): $900 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Dedicated Assetto Corsa, maybe Competizione. No interest in anything but racing. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): - FB marketplace for Quest 2, (~ $175), Logitech G29 (~$150) - Specifically chose I3-12100f for single core performance as AC doesn't benefit from multi-thread, and I have seen some excellent deals recently. - Specifically looking for GPU suggestions. Used options nearby have been as good as 5700xt for $150, 6600 for $150, 6600xt for $200. - Also want to use the Thermaltake Core V21 because it will fit in an Ikea Kallax shelf I have in the basement. (Is that crazy?) - I live near a MicroCenter if that helps. Budget (including currency): Lets go with 483.17 add possible $100-$150 Country: U.S (Amazon prime only- microcenter possibly but most cheaper on amazon) newegg others not an option since UPS does not do its job Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MSFS(For those that aren't aware when you run msfs you turn all settings on your monitor to bare minimum and adjust vr settings seperatley so if you don't connect a vr headset you won't see the "special settings" depending on the edition update) For reference my rog strix laptop has a 12 core i7-10750h @ 2.5ghz 16gb ram(seems to be a deciding factor for vr) I will also when it is not being used be running math computations (very basic just take a bit of memory) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): For the mean time I'm going to use my Nvidia GeForce GT 420 for basic monitor working and use until I find a graphics card I prefer for some unity ai and various other stuff most likely build Intel Core i5-10600K Desktop Processor 6 Cores up to 4.8 GHz Unlocked LGA1200 (Intel 400 Series Chipset) 125W ASUS Prime Z590-V LGA 1200 MUSETEX ATX PC doesn't change Amazon Basics Computer fan doesn't change Silicon Power Value Gaming DDR4 RAM 16GB (8GBx2) 3200MHz doesn't change unless something else goes down and I can go up to 32gb psu (I have no clue nor care about cable managment much I may have an old 450w one around here that is from around 2013 not modular to hold this over til I can get a better one) gpu(Will wait since I have a rtx 2070 in here I really need a gpu in a sli configuration) I'll be using a 27 inch acer monitor(already have) hdmi or (because cores really do matter for this and I could go up on the ram) Intel Core i5 Core 12400F ASUS Prime B760 looking for asus for aura sync rgb's acutally help vr based on what I've seen and you can read keyboards in headsets with rgb keyboards P.S using this video for my motherboard change (I really didn't see an ltt video on building a system specifcally for vr and to run it so here I am looking for one)

Budget (including currency): 1500-2000 CHF Country: Switzerland/France Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: triple A games (catching up with the titles from last few years) genre action-adventure, RPG, open-world games (i.e. Horizon, God of War, Assassin's Creed, the Witcher 3, Cyberpunk) capability for VR gaming (steam VR, Oculus Quest 2) Other details That's my first fresh build (transitioning from old laptop) While looking for components I've grown fond of white aesthetics and sapphire theme (blue dragon saphira from C.Paolini books, small sentimental value for me) I wanted to finalize it in next few months so Q2/Q3 2023 I would prefer to shop at Digitec, cause it's a bit cheaper with swiss tax Upgradability in mind, because I think it will be my long time setup, but I was still a bit unsure about going B650 with AM5 and DDR5 mostly because of high entry price. So I stick with AM4 and DDR4 in my proposed build. But with good arguments and proposition I could change my mind. One of my proposed builds in PCPartPicker after some research https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9MDHC6 Listed build ( with my alternative options and my comments) GPU - 500CHF - Sapphire NITRO+ AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (Friend is selling his GPU, used for 1 year in mining, still have 3 year additional warranty. It was my inspiration to start the build.) PSU - 130CHF - EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G5 (bought from the same friend and the same condition as GPU) CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or 5 5600X (Those were my first picks) Motherboard - ASUS ROG B550 A gaming or MSI B550-A PRO (just a cheap and sufficient choices) RAM - Kingston Fury RGB SE 2x16GB/3600 or Fury RGB SE 2x8GB/3600 or G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8GB/3600 (I was looking at ranges around 100CHF, and I can't lie the SE has nice aesthetics) Cooling - DarkFlash Tech DX240 V2 or DeepCool AS500 Plus (AIO vs air, white version for both) Storage - SSD 1TB Crucial P3 Plus and HDD 1TB WD Blue 7200rpm Network card - TP-Link Archer T5E Case - Enemax Marbleshell MS30 WH or Oversteel Azurite WH (Enemax fits the aesthetics with almost dragon scale look, but Oversteel seems like better option for cooling with front panel mesh and two magnetic filters, and it still has a logo which reminds me of Silksong) Display - AOC Q27G2E/BK (looked like decent and cost efficient option, just one for now, will expand the setup later) Total cost : ~ 1650 CHF I'm open for suggestions and alternatives components for most of the parts (maybe except GPU). I would appreciate any feedback, especially critics! Thanks for help

I've had my quest 2 for a while now without this issue. Only recently, I came back from an overseas trip which lasted about 2 weeks, my quest 2, connected via a link cable, suddenly has a ton of screen tearing after launching link. Almost looks as if there is a second monitor over the main display that is delayed or extra smooth. I've tried restarting the oculus service, restarting the headset, re plugging in and out my wire, and uncapping my bandwidth limit. Specs: 6700xt 5700G 32gb 3200
