Hey there, mates! Let's have a yarn about Windows 11 and wireless earphones (you know, tws). There's somethin' fishy goin' on in the Bluetooth world, and it's got me wonderin'. Seems like we're missin' a crucial feature: voice over AAC (or voice input, if you're into that fancy lingo). Can you believe it? iPhones have been rockin' this since the good ol' iPhone 4 days. Meanwhile, stickin' to SBC for voice feels like we're stuck in a time capsule, you know, like we've gone back a century or so. Now, Windows 11 is bringin' some sweet new features to the party, no doubt about it. But when it comes to voice communication, why the bloomin' heck ain't AAC support on the menu? AAC is all about top-notch audio quality, especially for crankin' tunes. But somehow, it's strugglin' to make its way into the voice input scene. On the other hand, iPhone users are livin' the high life with crystal-clear calls and snappy voice commands, all thanks to voice over AAC. They're scratchin' their heads, wonderin' why other platforms haven't caught on to the AAC craze. But here's the thing, stickin' with SBC alone for voice feels like takin' a step back in time. Sure, SBC gets the job done, but it lacks that extra oomph that AAC brings to the table. It's like we're trapped in a time warp, where yesterday's tech is holdin' us back. It's time for the Bluetooth ecosystem to get its act together and embrace voice over AAC in the world of Windows 11 and wireless earphones. Let's unlock the true power of voice communication with stellar audio quality and efficient transmission. AAC deserves to shine, breakin' free from the chains of outdated limitations. So, let's band together and make some noise! Manufacturers and developers, it's high time we hopped on the voice over AAC bandwagon. Let's create a world where our voices ring loud and clear, settin' a new standard for wireless communication. The future's callin', and with it comes the seamless integration of AAC into the Bluetooth world. Get ready for a voice revolution that'll blow your socks off, folks!

Hello everyone, I am having an issue with voice chat in Valorant and in Rainbow Six Siege. My in game communications are deafened and mic is muted. I made sure my mic is set to default on sound settings and the loopback test in the actual game works. I have tried the following for trouble shooting: 1. Making sure all appolications that require mic access are allowed through windows firewall 2. I have reinstalled the applications 3. Tried connecting to different regional servers in game. I am honestly at a loss where to go from here. Please help :(

First of foremost that is the first time ever that i am actually writing a post. Really went through anything i found and nothing really helped. I upgraded my GPU from a 2070 to a 6700 XT. Everything works fine but i just realised that i obviously cannot use the Nvidia Broadcast Noise Suppression anymore. So i was searching for an AMD equivalent and found AMD Adrenalin. Long story short, i found the Noise Supression Header, enabled it, put my Mic (Input) and my Output. Now i need to switch everywhere from my Mic to the "AMD Streaming Audio Device" for me to have the noise suppression audio. (Discord, OBS etc.) Thats where the problem appeared. It doesnt detect any audio, as if there is no microphone. If i switch it back to my "Analouge 1 2 (Focusrite USB Audio) it works just fine but without the noise suppression on it obviously. With Nvidia Broadcast i had to do pretty much the same, where i eventually put the "Nvidia Broadcast Audio Device" in my "Input" and everything would just work perfectly fine. If someone has an idea, i would highly appreciate it. Besides a little stupid question. Is there maybe a way to use Nvidia Broadcast with an AMD Graphicscard? (Hence the perfectly working Noise Suppression) Thanks in Advance, Best wishes!

Hello, I know this will sound super futuristic, and i don't know if copyright will be a thing, but i have a question/problem. I want to create a "trailer" of a fan fiction someone made about a series, but i'm gonna need the voices of the real actors (copyright or personal problem I know). Is it possible to recreate their voices by snipping parts of the series and putting them in a voice clone AI, and if yes, which AI? second, i know most AI's don't have emotion in their voice, so is it possible to overlay the voices with my own voice so it becomes an active voice changer. That way i can say the lines I created without the voices sounding like robots. If someone knows this kind of sorcery or has this kind of power, let me know! Thanks in advance, Y.

Hi All, first time posting here. Hopefully I'm in the right place for this question. I've been having an annoying issue with Nvidia Broadcast. For the most part it works just fine with the noise removal. But once in a while when I'm talking on discord or streaming on twitch my mic will just randomly stop working. The only way to fix it is to exit out of Nvidia Broadcast and restart it. I'm wondering if anyone knows how I can fix this? It's really frustrating when I'm streaming the mic just stops working randomly because I don't know it's stopped until my chat tells me they can't hear me or I happen to look over at OBS and notice it's not picking up my voice anymore. I'm using an RTX 2070 Super and Blue Yeti X mic. In Nvidia Broadcast I've set the Microphone Source as the Yeti X. Then in the windows sound settings I've tried setting the default mic to Nvidia Broadcast as well as I've tried leaving the default as the Yeti X but manually setting OBS and Discord to use the Nvidia Broadcast mic. Both setups have the same issue though. I also use the camera background removal in Nvidia Broadcast and haven't had any issues with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is having issues with distorted audio while using Nvidia's noise removal for either microphone or speakers, I've found that the issue for me is using 192kHz sampling rates causes issues. I believe the program only supports 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 16-bit, and 24-bit. Kind of strange because more data = better performance, and the RTX cards can absolutely filter the 1x1024 signal every 2ms. Even a $100 DAQ can do complex Fourier mathematics that fast. RTX cards should support it.

Summary Japanese company Donut has developed a smart facemask to combat diifculties with being understood while wearing a mask Quotes My thoughts The c-mask is a new accessory from tech statup Donut Robotics in Japan, which can be used while wearing a face mask acts as a Bluetooth microphone to provide better quality audio to your smartphone, allowing you to use voice commands on your device more easily while maintaining proper health and safety standards related to the pamdemic. Additionally, features such as being able to link it to a Bluetooth speaker could have broader applications in situations like teaching or office meetings, where masks might interfere with being properly understood while addressing a group of people. Futhermore, there seems to be indication that the device will allow users to take advantage of the language translation features originally developed for their Cinnamon robot, though it appears this service will require a paid subscription. Donut expects to start taking pre-orders soon, with the accessory expected to retail for USD$40. Don't he too excited yet though, the device is only expected to be available in Japan when it launches later this year, but the a representative for the company says they want to make the c-mask available in other countries worldwide in the future. Heya all! I need to find an alternative to Skype and Discord since they arn't satisfying my needs. What I need: 1. I need to be able to share screen and/or window. 2. Voice and text chat. 3. I need to work on both Windows and Mac. 4. I want it to save chat history. 5. I need to be able to send files larger than discords puny 8MB. Would love for it to be p2p. 6. Best case senario, it would have a mobile app. Would love to use Tox but the screen charing isn't good enough. And there seems to be no developement. If need be, I am able to set up a server to host my conversations.

Hey everyone, I recently moved into a new apartment (rental, so I'm limited to pretty much keeping the same network setup), and was happy to see that they had RJ45 data ports in the wall. Unfortunately, when plugging in ethernet cables, nothing is recognized. I've done a bit of digging and some exploring since then, as I'd really like to get this to work. In the closet, there is some sort of a network panel, which looks like the first image below. I have checked all the jumpers, and made sure that they are jumping the "data" pins, and not "voice" pins. I have done the same with two wall jacks (second picture), and jumped the data pins, which the voice pins are left uncovered (there is white plastic covering the voice pins, but they are not jumped). Finally, I have plugged an ethernet cable from my router into one wall jack, and then tried to plug my computer into a second wall jack (both are jumped to data), but nothing gets picked up.... I have also tested each ethernet cable directly into the router with my laptop, and they work. This is really bugging me, as my modem can only sit in one place in this apartment, and it's not where my desktop is. I'm paying for 300mbps down, but at the moment I need to use a powerline adapter to reach my desktop (cannot have cables running over the floor here) and the fastest speed I'm getting from that is about 45mbps down. On a side note, I've never seen network panels like these before, either in the closet or in the wall jacks. Has anyone else. I also see that there are RJ45 ports labelled J1 - J6 in the closet (first picture). Do these need to go into some sort of switch? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi guys, I have an issue with my soundboard I hope you guys can help with. I use 3 things, voice meeter, exp soundboard, and vb-audio virtual cable. It works, but, my problem is the quality. When i play a song in exp (primary sound driver output enabled) so into my headphones, the sound is perfect. However, my friend told me that it sounds a bit like through a radio. I went into overwatch on 2 tabs, and listened to myself through the other account. It did sound considerably worse. On top of that, it cut out, like someone was carrying the sound source to and from the mic. You know when you're talking to someone and they move away and to the mic? like that. I have no clue how to fix it. Please help if you can. Another way i checked the quality; i opened up obs, and set the sound recording to voice meeter, so i can hear what my boi voice meeter does. When i watched it, i couldn't hear any difference. Only on the extreme dubstep sounds, which i also sped up, but the quality difference was so minor, that it might as well have been psychological, or the fact that the recording was louder. (Exp is set to 60% of normal volume in volume mixer). So i conclude there is probably some issue in overwatch? Help plssssssss

Hello! I've had this for a while now where all of a sudden my voice gets super deep in every software I use or game I play, even when I listen to my own voice through windows it's like that. I can talk with my friends in discord for example and then a second later my voice sounds like the changed voices from tv programs where there is a anonymous witness or something. It sounds exactly like something you could do with a voice changer software. I can fix this temporarily by disconnecting from my discord channel, unplugging the mic (rode nt-usb), wait like 5s, plug it back in, wait 5 more seconds then reconnecting and it sounds fine again, for maybe 20 minutes... I did a clean install of windows 10 64-bit yesterday and the issue is still here. Id appreciate any help I can get!

Since yesterday my voice communication software doesn't seem to work properly anymore. Other people can hear me but I can't hear them. I first thought this problem was just discord so I restarted my computer to be disappointed. Today I switch to Teamspeak to try there and I still have the same problem. All audio from browsers, apps, and games still work. It's only other people's voices that I can't hear. I tried changing so many settings in discord. I have even deleted my server and created another one. Since restarting my computer doesn't help it my best guess is that this is something I can fix in the windows 10 settings or control panel. I just don't know how to do it nor what to do.

Hey LTT, Recently been looking to upgrade either my headphones or my mic (i currently use a turtle beach headset) so I decided to upgrade my mic first and my headset later to a nice pair of headphones. I don't know a whole lot about mics in general - brands, modes, usb vs whatever-other-kind-of-connector-there-is - but I was hoping I could get some direction from here. I liked the sound of the Editors Keys SL600 until I saw it was $300. The Audio-Technica AT2020 looks like a much better pick at $100 and also sounds pretty good. I would use it for streaming and youtube videos only pretty much. 1. Is it reasonable to expect to get a good mic under $100? 2. How about an arm/screen, how much are those? Thanks

Now its so simple but im not sure if you can do it. I have a headset and speakers. I want the game to go through speakers, but voice (discord through my headset) I've looked online and nothing explains it properly. Can you transmit and receive voice data on one 3.5mm mic jack. Thanks in advance.

Hi guys I am wondering what software to use for voice chat in games like World of Tanks, Battlefield 4,3 CS GO and so? Can people in game without software hear me with that software?
-
From what I've noticed, Discord has gained significant popularity and is beginning to rival the big players in voice chat software (Teamspeak, Mumble, etc). The 2 biggest things that separate Discord from the rest are: 1. Good and easy to use UI 2. 100% free I myself have pretty much switched from TS3. I don't have to pay for a server with my friends, and to an extent we find it a lot easier to use that TS3. However I have found that TS3 is capable of MUCH better audio quality than Discord. Is this true for everyone else? Another big thing I like about Discord is the friends system and the servers tab. Super easy to see if friend are online and what they're playing, and what people are in which servers. Anybody else feel this way? If this keeps up I can see Discord becoming the biggest player and take the throne from Teamspeak 3/Mumble/Skype/etc.
