Hey everybody, I figured I'd start my own thread since I haven't found one like this yet. (Let me know if there is another one or if I'm in the wrong place) So anyways, lLike the topic says, make a team of 6 (or less) pokemon that are your favorite. I'll start: Kyogre Ampharos (always seems to find a way onto my team) Blaziken Nidoking Absol Espeon What are your teams?

I just finished my new secondary build, but I am experiencing awful performance almost on any game. My fps in games is incredibly low comparing to what I should be getting. The CPU load and GPU load never go even near 100% and just stay near something like 50% most of the time, I have 16gb of ram so that shouldn´t be an issue either. Below are some screenshots displaying the CPU and GPU usage + FPS Vsync is disabled in all of them, and the temperatures were fine aswell so the PC was not throttling. Star Wars: Battlefront screens here. Battlefield 4 screens here. Alien Isolation screens here. CSGO screens here. GTA V screens here. Space engineers screens here. League of Legends I do not have screens of, but it was running 44-120fps. I have no idea why, but this PC was getting better fps on LoL with am AMD HD 4560 System specs: Field Value Computer Computer Type ACPI x64-based PC Operating System Microsoft Windows 8.1 Professional OS Service Pack [ TRIAL VERSION ] Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18125 DirectX DirectX 11.2 Computer Name TOUR User Name MixU Logon Domain [ TRIAL VERSION ] Date / Time 2015-12-30 / 18:54 Motherboard CPU Type 2x QuadCore Intel Xeon X5355, 2666 MHz (8 x 333) Motherboard Name Dell Precision WorkStation 490 Motherboard Chipset Intel Greencreek 5000X System Memory [ TRIAL VERSION ] DIMM-A1: Kingston KINGSTON 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC DDR2 SDRAM FB-DIMM (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) DIMM-B1: Kingston KINGSTON 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC DDR2 SDRAM FB-DIMM (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) DIMM-C1: Kingston KINGSTON 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC DDR2 SDRAM FB-DIMM (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) DIMM-D1: Kingston KINGSTON 4 GB DDR2-667 ECC DDR2 SDRAM FB-DIMM (3-3-3-9 @ 200 MHz) (4-4-4-12 @ 266 MHz) (5-5-5-15 @ 333 MHz) BIOS Type Phoenix (04/25/08) Communication Port Communications Port (COM1) Communication Port Communications Port (COM2) Communication Port ECP Printer Port (LPT1) Display Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti (3 GB) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti (3 GB) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti (3 GB) Video Adapter NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti (3 GB) 3D Accelerator nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Monitor Asus VS248 [24" LCD] (D9LMQS107333) Multimedia Audio Adapter nVIDIA HDMI/DP @ nVIDIA GK110 - High Definition Audio Controller Audio Adapter SigmaTel STAC9200 @ Intel 631xESB/6321ESB - High Definition Audio Controller Storage IDE Controller Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE Controller IDE Controller Standard SATA AHCI Controller Storage Controller Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller Disk Drive SanDisk SDSSDX240GG25 (240 GB, SATA-III) Disk Drive WDC WD15EARS-00MVWB0 (1500 GB, SATA-II) SMART Hard Disks Status OK Partitions C: (NTFS) [ TRIAL VERSION ] D: (NTFS) 1397.3 GB (1270.9 GB free) Total Size [ TRIAL VERSION ] Input Keyboard HID Keyboard Device Keyboard HID Keyboard Device Mouse HID-compliant mouse Network Primary IP Address [ TRIAL VERSION ] Primary MAC Address 00-18-8B-15-8D-1A Network Adapter Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller (192. !!!THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL EBAY SELLERS THAT SELL STEAM/UPLAY/ORIGIN/ETC. KEYS!!! For the last 2 weeks, I've been selling Steam codes for Black Ops 2 and Mortal Kombat X on eBay. All of a sudden, two or three days ago, I started getting chargebacks from some of my buyers' banks. The first one, eBay just credited me the money the person paid, seeing as I never had any problems with angry buyers in the past. But then a day later, the buyer by the Paypal name of Billy D. Cora filed for a chargeback on 2 separate purchases. I found the eBay account I suspect to be his/hers: billd.cor_0. But that account has only made 1 purchase from me. The same day, a seller by the name of gamerschoice53 contacted me and told me that Billy had started filing chargebacks for her, too. We found out that Billy is using another account by the name of evrevrar to make most of his/her purchases, because billd.cor_0 and evrevrar bought codes from me one after the other a few days ago, and evrevrar also bought from gamerschoice53 as well! What's more, both accounts left positive reviews on both of our accounts, and gamerschoice53 even confirmed that there's at least one other person being scammed by this asshole. My Paypal even shows that Billy D. Cora made a purchase TWO DAYS BEFORE THESE CHARGES WERE FILED!!! Remember, she/he is trying to get their money back from purchases made almost a WEEK ago. I've made a short list of people that are scamming us, or we suspect might try in the future: billd.cor_0 evrevrar sanenrisand (this one's bought, like, 20 codes off of me, and her address leads to a shopping plaza in Texas) billyboy larr-shrag ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will update this list as more names become available. But if any buyers listed have bought from you, EXPECT A FRAUDULENT CHARGEBACK, AND BLOCK THESE PEOPLE FROM BUYING FROM YOU!!! !!!PLEASE SHARE TO SPREAD AWARENESS!!!

What's the worst game you've ever played and why?

So, does Black Ops 3 still run like crap for anyone else? I can't seem to get a smooth experience no matter what I do. I've tried every little tweak I could think of and that I found on the internet. I know my hardware should be more than enough for a steady, non-stuttery gameplay experience at 1080p, but I still get little hiccups and microstutters. I'm pulling my hair out here and I'm about ready to drop $300-$400 on a 970 if I can't figure this out. Here's my specs: CPU - AMD FX-8320 (overclocked to 4.1GHz) CPU Cooler - CoolerMaster Hyper212 Evo Aircooler (in Push-Pull configuration) Motherboard - MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard RAM - x2 8Gb sticks of AData DDR3 Ram (16Gb total) GPU - Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce (2Gb Vram) (running at default clock speeds) PSU - EVGA Supernova 750 G2 (80 Plus Gold Certified) Chassis/Case - NZXT S340 ATX Case Cooling/Fans - 4 Case fans (2 intake at the front, 1 on top to exhaust, one in the back to exhaust) HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB (for programs) SSD - Samsung 850 EVO (for OS) Here's a link to another thread I made about it, but in hindsight, it actually wasn't the CPU's fault that the game was running like crap. I had traces of AMD drivers left, and after I removed them, the game ran better, but still stuttery even when setting everything to Low: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/507158-still-have-micro-stutter-in-black-ops-3-after-trying-almost-everything/#entry6837204 So does the game still run like crap for any of you or do I just have an intermittent problem here I'm un-aware of?

Hi, i recently built a gaming PC and have always had this problem. When playing games i can usually max out, i always seem to go from a steady 60+ FPS to about 30FPS. I took some screenshots of the graphs on MSI Afterburner while playing GTAV, http://imgur.com/a/lM06j, its a bit messy mind, but I noticed that the GPU utilization keeps going from about 90 to 50, and at the same time the power goes from 65 to 55, and the OV and Voltage Max go to 0 and Utilization limit goes to 1. My GPU is overclocked to 1005 Mhz with a boost of about 1270 Mhz, and the memory is OC'd to 3071 Mhz. I don't think it's because of the OC's because they were only recent and this has been happening since i built this PC. My temps never go over about 70 while playing and the limit is 95 i believe. My FPS goes down at the same time is the clock speed does. Here are some of my system specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.150316-1654) Processor: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz Memory: 8192MB RAM Available OS Memory: 8174MB RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 PSU: Corsair CX Series 750 Watt ATX/EPS Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard I've been searching for a solution for about a week now and I haven't been able to find one, I'd really appreciate if someone could help me out a bit here because getting bad fps is not fun. Thanks!

In the last patch (335.1) I got like -10 fps on the game. In yesterday patch, I got like 5 fps more or so. Anyone got more fps? I personally think the 1.01 patch was the best patch.

Source: EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) (Archive in case it goes down) Restoring old games is hacking, and all hacking is piracy, and all hacking is illegal!.... Right? (WRONG) You smell that? Yeah, it... smells like bull. No, it's not April 1st, I've almost got no words for this. This has to be the worst thing I've heard this year, at least so far. This is no different than the patent trolling that goes on in the industry, people like this keep relating things to piracy to stigmatise and scaremonger. Regardless of whether they're right or wrong in saying that hacking old games is piracy or not (which they are completely incorrect in saying) it doesn't matter, the general public will believe them and the consumers will not get any support. It's almost as if they care for nothing aside from money and business, it's like they become enraged when they see people doing things for free. I'm done, here's the quotes from the article. "The Entertainment Software Association doesn't want anyone to restore the functionality of older videogames that are no longer supported by their publisher, because, says ESA, this is "hacking," and all hacking is "associated with piracy." "Behind this hyperbole, ESA (along with MPAA and RIAA) seem to be opposing anyone who bypasses game DRM for any reason, no matter how limited or important.

The topic says it all. My eyes have always been weak. I'm a student in high school and I game a lot and do lots of work for school. I also have a double monitor setup going and I'd like to find some ways to conserve eye vision and prevent strain. Lots of times after gaming my right eye is always red (my right eye is significantly weaker than left). Also, I do sit a reasonable distance away from my monitors and I do wear my prescription glasses. Also, take note that I am not willing to use programs such as f.lux because I don't want my monitors to have a dumb yellow tint so other people can see it. I'd like to find an alternative if possible. Might consider getting gaming glasses but I need just more ideas than that because I don't want to get lasik eye surgery one day, lol. Also advice such as eating certain foods (other than carrots) can be helpful. I just want to keep my vision the way it is or better so I can happily game and do my stuff.

Hi. Just the other day I got a new graphics card. It runs fine in most cases but lags in areas I could normally run at the same frame rate. For example in gta v when I am in the desert or in the mountains it starts to drop to 45 fps. When I'm in the city it runs at 60fps. I was wondering if maybe I need better parts or if I didn't do something right. If I need to upgrade I'm fine with that. Here are my specs. Intel i5 4690k asus z97-p 8gb ram evga geforce gtx 970 scc corsair cx 750. Thanks.

Watch the video above from PBS Game/Show, because it's the jumping off point for our discussion. It also sums up my thoughts on the topic better than I could down here, but I still want to talk about it. Done? OK, it's interesting to look at what the value of game length is for developers and publishers. Most people don't finish most games. It takes time and money to make games. People want to buy long games, and often the length of that game, or the content in it, is a data point that goes into the decision about whether or not they buy that game. So are developers stuck creating content at great cost just to tick off that check box even though everyone knows that most people won't see or play that content near the end of the game? It's a depressing thought, a sort of gaming ouroboros of wasted time for both the developer and player, but that serves to entice someone to make a purchase. Any free time you spend playing games is time you're not spending doing anything else, and it's hard to give the time to finish one game when you know that time could have been spent reading three books, or watching an entire season of a great show. If you want one story, and to be satisfied by it, games are incredibly inefficient. ARE DEVELOPERS STUCK CREATING CONTENT AT GREAT COST JUST TO TICK OFF THAT CHECK BOX? People like to say that games are getting shorter, and this is a bad thing, but the data doesn't support that view of the industry. A shorter game can be made for less money which leads to lower prices which means more people buy it ... and so on. But it's also tricky to assume you know what other people want out of their games. Maybe they want to buy one or two games a year that will last nearly forever. In that situation, long games are the best. But the fact remains that most people don't finish most games. It's hard to argue with that reality. There's no one solution, nor should there be. Some people love short games, and some devs make short games. The same can be said for long games. There's enough to go around. Related : http://www.newstatesman.com/culture/2014/10/when-it-comes-video-games-how-long-too-long
