hi i have a msi seahawk 3080 and the power limit is locked at 100% i have it OC at +150 on the core and +340 on the ram. The core has lows at 1960 sometimes but mostly sits over 2000mhz It only draws 330 watts... Was thinking i can flash a vbios from a higher power limit 2X8 pin card to get more out of it. Worth it? And is it risky? the gpu sits at 50°c on full load so temps arent a problem Thanks

Hello there. I have Lenovo Ideapad Z575 laptop with AMD A8-3500M APU with Radeon HD 6620G as integrated graphics and AMD Radeon HD 6650M as discrete. In GPU-Z it displays the exact version of BIOS on my integrated GPU but only displays “unknown” on discrete HD 6650M. When I try to search for VBIOS for my discrete GPU it shows no results. Maybe you could help me. Also wanted to add that AMDVBFlash tool just opens CMD but not the application even though I installed VBFlash driver. Would be really grateful if you could find VBIOS for AMD Radeon HD 6650M if it exists. This is probably the last thing I can do to save my GPU because it’s not working.

Need vBIOS for Dell XPS 15 7590 (GTX 1650)
BuffJesus posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Device ID: 10DE 1F91-1028 0905 I've had this laptop for four years, and for the past two, it's GPU hadn't been working. I had blamed it on both GeForce Experience and probably the chip being fried. But turns out neither are the case, it's just a corrupted vBIOS. I'll attach a GPU-Z screenshot. Dell Support won't help, the shop is probably not gonna be any help either given the country I'm in, and I am really possessive about my laptop. So please, if someone who has an XPS 15 7590, check through GPU-Z if the Device ID matches, if so, please get in touch with me. I hope this community would be more receptive to my problem than the others have been -
Hey there yeah i upgraded my rig from R5 1600 to R5 5600X Zotac GTX1070 Amp Extreme to Zotac RTX 3060 Ti Twin Edge (no OC, no LHR, no GDDR6X) GS800 to RM650i Alpenföhn Cooler to Scythe Mugen 4(or 5 idk) Cooler new 4tb hdd i got for 28 bucks from the bargain bin at the local tech retailer some enermax case to bequiet Pure Base 600 expect for the 4tb hdd everything is used but working perfectly as the time of testing and writing this on ths rig A few tips tho: Dont buy a Scythe Mugen for AMD Processors, i didnt get the backplate but the dude selling it to me never had it either and modded it too bc as it seems Scythe is unable to produce a working AM4 backplate I basically cut 4 Strips of metal to lengt and put them between the cooler contact plate and the main bar keeping the cooler attached to the Mobo to get some tension on it, left the normal AM4 Backplate and the plastic "standoffs" on the mobo and screwed the two struts attaching to the main bar on top of them. Works Bigger project, and the reason why i want to post this in troubleshooting, was the gpu... It worked, i got to test it when i bougt it, so no complaints there. The guy also had a founders ed 3060 ti for the same price there, in retrospect idk why i dint took that one. Maybe a bit of bias bc my previous card served my quite well but after running some games at home in the old build i had the gpu reach is locked max temp of 85 degrees celsius and the hotspot got up to 105. Sooo..fan mod time! never done it before but wth Tries to detach the "icestorm2.0" cooler - fan cables are jammed between pcb and cooling block(!) so there i was yesterday with a completely dirty gpu pcb and no thermal pads and fans I bought a 3pack of Artics 2000RPM Argb fans, some DriftIce 13W/mK Thermal pads and new thermal paste and started my first gpu "refresh" It went suprisingly well The card was really dirty and i was extremly careful so it took me a while to remove the complety dried previos thermal paste, cut the thermal pads to size and so on Another tip: if you are redoing the thermal pads on this Gpu, the thermalm pads should be over 1.5 mm thick to properly attach to the cooling block. I had to cut my 1.5mm pads in two thickness-wise and put a second layer of (ideally 0,75mm) on top a bit too big i know but all in all i got a drop of around 20 degrees on the hotspot and 10 degrees on the gpu in short time loads and with a prolonged load it goes down to 10 degs C improvment on the hotspot and 5 on the processor. Im running the new Gpu fans over the manual fan control switch(3V,9V and 12V stepping) of the Pure Base 600 I think thats quite good, right? I.e. first question: Should i try to contain the airflow around the card more to maybe get some more cooling performance from the oversize fans? The bigger question also connecting to my previous posts: I couldnt get a vbios update for my card to work until now... the teardown gave me the ability to ckeck for obvious damage; GPU-Z shows nothing unusual about the card apart from the current vbios being from january 2021; The Zotac support told me that "The card is Zotac (OEM) made for a customer. Zotac does not provide the support and maintenance service" (that means its from either chinese wholesale market or prebuilt system from walmart as example?); Knowing all that: The thing i need to to to enable rebar is to find a bios of the same card ( SKU: ZT-A30610E-10M ) with a rebar enabled/updated vbios and flash that rom on my card via nvflash, right?? That would be so great.. Anyway Hope you all are doing well

Hey there So, my last post was about my mostly bought used - upgrade of my system everything arrived, looking good (backplate of the scythe mugen is missing but after a google search it seems scythe cant produce a fitting am4 backplate anyway so i did some stuff myself to mount the cooler) Specifically the gpu: i got a RTX 3060 Ti Zotac Twin Edge Not the OC But i think( dont have the box) it is an LHR card. I dont care about mining so doesnt matter i only want to enable resizeable bar and obviously you need to update the vbios for that. and if you select the lhr version in zotacs download center, theres just no bios update. only for the non-lhr there is one and its not working with my card, tried it. gpu-z shows all indications that im able to use rebar...(Asus x470 prime pro, bios version 6063; ryzen 5 5600x, gpt boot drive etc.) Am i doing something wrong? or is there no rebar for lhr cards? Thanks in advance for your answers

Did a partially successful vbios flash. DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, etc missing from gpuz. Cannot overclock using afterburner. Flashing from a failed mining vbios. Any help?

I am, for the last few months now, been trying to learn a deeper understanding of how pcs work. Getting into OC finally after all these years. There is sssoooo much to learn. I had no idea there would be as much to OC as there is. Back to topic: Would someone care to explain the difference to me between the bios and the firmware on a gpu. Is it the same differences for motherboards and cpus? Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm looking for someone who is kind enough to pass me the GALAX RTX 3080 Ti OC Lab Edition bios .rom file. I am aware that this bios is available in the TechPowerUp bios list but unfortunately it is not validated, I have tried it and it has serious issues for me. I would need someone who physically has this GPU and who is reliable since I need the bios to put it on my 3080 ti.

Hello guys. I'm having issues with my gigabyte rx 6700 xt gaming oc 12GB, to make long story short. Using gigabyte software to control RGB(RGB 2.0) it crashed the system while it was updating firmware, which turned off the LEDs but still the video card worked as it should. I uploaded the driver from techpoweup(Gigabyte.RX6700XT.12288.210302.rom), without making a backup(dumb), and i lost the functionality of the card. Original one from gigabyte site aways gives me the same error: "Erasing flash failed. Please reboot system and try again?" Any sugestions? Anyone has the same card and could save the .rom file for me? thanks.

Hello I recently built a PC based of some parts I had lying around an a HP GTX1080 which I got through work. Problem is there is a red led on both fans which I find extremely annoying and as such I want to flash a new bios probably an EVGA one on to this card; in order to disable these leds or change their color. And also to hopefully add a 0 rpm mode. Similar to this video here. Below attached I have the extracted GPU bios (which i got through gpu-z). Any help finding a compatible bios would be appreciated GP104.rom

I was thinking about flashing a different VBIOS on my graphics card mentioned above with like a 3080 Suprim X VBIOS to increase the power limit from 380W to 430W since my card is always powerlimited. Since i have never flashed a VBIOS before and this card does not have a dual BIOS i was wondering if someone has already done something like this on that card and to what results.

So, I was playing and suddenly my game froze and after a couple of secs. boom, BSOD and restarts itself. After that, I noticed the NVidia GPU isn't showing in the Task Manager and checked Device Manager, it has that triangle exclamation saying "something.. ERROR 43." I tried flashing its vBIOS and it's still not working. If by any chance, you guys have a ROG Zephyrus G15 (R7 4800HS + GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q) and working, mind if you send me your NVidia vBIOS? I'll try it and hope for the best. Here's a screenshot of what's happening right now. After flashing, it doesn't have that exclamation triangle anymore but it looks like the GPU is kinda like a normal VGA display now or something.

Strange behaviour with Strix OC vbios on Vision OC 3080 ti
TrippieH posted a topic in Graphics Cards
I have successfully flashed many different vbios' onto my Gigabyte Vision OC 3080 ti, and the card now pulls in 450w, but the dynamic boost clock seems to break whenever I do this. It stays pinned between 1600-1700 mhz, resulting in 100w more power but worse overall performance compared to the stock vbios, which easily boosts to 1900+ mhz. I have tried the Strix, FTW3, and Aorus Xtreme vbios, with the Aorus being the best, but all of them refuse to use dynamic boost. I would appreciate if anyone had the answer to why this is happening. -
I tried to flash vbios on my card using nvflash, but it does nothing after I type nvflash bios.rom. It just goes back and says nothing. Even with - 6 is the same. Is there any other way to flash vbios? And btw my gpu is gt 430 and my current vbios is 70.16.FF.00.08. In gpu-z it says that this card is the fake 430.

I have a 3080 aorus master 1.0 with the F4 bios. I can only get 320-340 watts out of it and the power slider in MSI afterburner only goes up to 100%. In regards to OC-ing, I'm currently hitting power limits and want to increase the power. So I tried to install the Aorus xtreme 1.0 F3 bios, which, according to the description, ups the TDP to 450 watts. However, when I follow the instructions from the link bellow to update my bios, GPU-Z tells me I'm still on my old F4 bios. Please advise https://overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/how_to_bios_update_your_rtx_30_series_gpu_to_support_resizable_bar/2

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get a BIOS update for my GPU (MSI R9 270 Gaming 2G) with support for UEFI. I found the BIOS from TechPowerUp but when I try to flash it I get an error saying "P/N mismatch". It has xxx-xxx instead of full P/N number and I can't find one with the correct P/N. Can anyone make it so it has the correct P/N? Or find it? I tried to edit it using an editor for BIOS but the program doesn't open any .rom file I put into it and thinks it's not an AMD/ATI BIOS. Thanks for all the help. I'll attach the BIOS file as well. MSI.R9270.2048.131211 (1).rom

Good morning. I got my video card on sale 2 years ago and well it was what I could afford at the time without saving for another month. 2060 Super is a OK card but I wish it would deliver a few more frames. Overclocking wont get me far until I get power limited. Temps don't go above 71°C so it can do a little more if it had a little higher power limit I think (never had the fans run at 100% apart from testing). I have been looking for vbios but didn't find any until now. Device ID is the same, it support the Micron chips on my card and it raises the power limit from 219 to 269W. It looks considerable on paper but translating to performance how much can I expect the difference will be if I let it draw say 250W? Also I have dual BIOS, even if flashing bricks lets say P mode BIOS I can still use Q mode right? Is there a point to do something like this? I wouldn't if it had single BIOS but since it has dual and I only use Q mode anyway since P mode doesn't do anything for FPS. If I could flash it to 269W limit then that would change hehe. I put link to the BIOS file and screenshot GPU-z if someone wants to have a look for me. Subsystem ID is different, could this be a problem? EDIT: how much power can I draw with 8 and 6-pin PCIe power? Card is 2060 Super ROG Strix Adv PSU is Corsaair RM 650x VBIOS I consider to flash https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/224880/224880 Current VBIOS in use https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/221371/221371

Hello, does anyone have the Vbios for the ASUS TUF Gaming 1660 Super OC Edition? A friend seems to have accidentally bricked their card, and we can’t find a working Vbios online to flash to it. Thanks in advance! :) For reference, this is the card in question: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards-Components/Graphics-Cards/TUF-Gaming/TUF-GTX1660S-O6G-GAMING/

As the title says the card I received has a strange bios on it, if I lookup on the internet of this bios there's one other instance but the subsystem ID and subvendor ID are completely different and I couldn't find what manufacturer matches to 4D50 4449 as opposed to what it should be 1462 3903 (MSI). I'm hoping someone can help as I can't even get to the settings to change the rgb on either dragon center or msi center because it just doesn't detect it as an msi card at all

I have an Asus laptop with a 1050 and I'va noticed that on other people's laptops the gpu runs at a slightly higher clock (~65Mhz) although mine stays cooler. My brother's Dell with the same specs for example scores higher in benchmarks and also behaves better in COD Warzone. I figure it has to do with the vbios and was wondering if I can extract the one on his laptop and flash it on mine since I don't seem to find vbioses for 4gb 1050s. How can I do that? And how do I restore my version if I don't like the new one?

My custom vbios would not run anything newer than AMD 16.9.1 driver. There is no compute mode on 16.9.1 or older. So is there anything i can do to enable compute mode for my GPU? Thanks

My setup: Windows 10 64bit Ryzen 5 2600 Motherboard MSI B350 PC MATE RAM 12gb DDR4 (8gb Kingston 2666mhz + older 4gb Kingston 2400mhz) PSU Corsair CX550F RGB White GPU: I had GTX 1060 6gb 6GT in PC and GTX 560 Ti in reserve What happened? Me being great tried flashing VBIOS of my 1060 but I donwloaded wrong one (I have MSI GTX 1060 6gb 6GT but I downloaded BIOS for MSI GTX 1060 6gb AERO) from techpowerup. First I backed up my old BIOS from 1060. Then I started nvflash and flashed my GTX 1060 6gb with, unbeknown to me, wrong BIOS. Screen flickered 2 times, then it was full of artefacts. I quickly started nvflash again even through artefacts and tried to flash it back with its old VBIOS that I Had ready, But nvflash said there was no NVIDIA gpu present in my system therefor it didnt flash anything. So I turned my PC off. What have I already tried? I turned my PC off after wrong flash. When I tried to start it again, I heard Windows through speakers like volume control but I had just black screen. My monitor turned on as if he was being sent signal from GPU but it was just black screen. No BIOS, no Win, no nothing. So I searched on internet and found out you can put nvflash on bootable USB so I created one with rufus which was suggested. Put it in my PC but again nothing changed, black screen. Troubleshooting in Windows: My CPU doesnt have integrated graphics therefor I kept my very old GTX 560 Ti in reserve just in case like this. When I put only 560 into PC and 1060 out, PC worked with no problems and still does. So i put both 560 and 1060 in system, cable to monitor into 560. I was able to get into Windows but only in 800x600 and after like 20 seconds drivers kick in and Windows just freezes and crashes, sometimes bluescreen sometimes not. I was able to quickly check Device manager, 1060 is in there but "disable device" is grey and there is no way to stop it, and Windows crashes soon. I tried uninstalling NVIDIA drivers with only 560 in system, then trying to boot with both of them but its same, no change. Troubleshooting with USB Basically same story, with 1060 just black screen with USB in pc or without. With 560 as main gpu with cable, and 1060 in system, nvflash in DOS on USB recognizes just 560 Ti. It just asks if i want to flash 560 ti which I dont so i decline it, I tried command --list , it listed 560 Ti only. Summary Wrongly flashed my GTX 1060 6gb 6GT with VBIOS for gtx 1060 6gb aero, now Windows recognizes it in Device manager but nvflash doesnt recognize it anywhere, making me unable to flash it back to its original bios which I have.

Just recently received a mxm p4000 and I was wondering if anyone has a vBIOs for a clevo quadro P4000, The laptop i'm upgrading is a P750zm
