Hello. Today, I was working in Unity, and I saw an Indie game on Reddit that I decided to download. The controls didn't work well when it came to keyboard and mouse, so I connected my controller. In doing so, I accidentally pulled out the power cord out of my power supply, and so, after I plugged it back in, disgruntled, I turned the computer back on, and Unity, which had been open before the incident, was suffering from graphical bugs, and giving a strange error. Later, I turned off my computer, and I later returned to it. It no longer recognises my Mionix Castor. I made sure I have the software, but the software can't find any Castor mouse. My school laptop crashed as soon as I plugged the mouse into it. I'm really desparate! What the hell is going on?

Ubuntu version upgrade problems
myselfolli posted a topic in Linux, macOS and Everything Not-Windows
Hello everybody! I have a problem at work: We're using a Ubuntu VM running Ubuntu 17.10 (artful), which I am trying to upgrade to the most current version of ubuntu. I want to do this using sudo do-release-upgrade but that just tells me, that my python3 installation is corrupted and that I have to fix my /usr/bin/python3 symlink. So I checked online and I was told, that my python3 symlink has to point to python3.6 and that some people have had problems when they were using update-alternatives. I checked the symlink (it's correct) and we're not using update-alternatives. My problem however persists, I can't seem to upgrade my ubuntu version. Edit: Another possible solution that was suggested online, was reinstalling python3 sudo apt-get install --reinstall python But that gives me another error: Reinstallation of python is not possible, it cannot be downloaded. So that won't work either -
Hi I'm building a new PC and while looking for a case around 70-80 USD I stumbled upon the SilverStone RL06 and I decided to go with that because of the front mesh panel, which means great airflow, and the cheap price. I then found out that there is a normal version and a PRO version, so I was just wondering what are the differences, if there are really any. Thank you

I´m using a system that has a load wattage of 294 W and a recommended PSU W of 344 according to the outervision PSU Calculator. The problem though is that I only have a 250 W pcb020 PSU. Is this safe? Is it going to decrease performance in any way?

Hello! I have a problem. I bought a used PSU but the seller included the wrong 24pin cable. The PSU needs 14+10, the cable has 18+10. Unfortunately the seller does not respond to my messages. I found that a replacement cable from corsair costs about 45€ + 15€ shipping. So that would total to 60€ just for a cable for a psu that cost me 90... Has anyone a idea? Is there a adapter from 18 to 14 pin? Are there any cheap cables? I couldn't find any, probably because I do not know the correct term of the cable I need. Any help would be highly appreciated

Guys, my computer is switching on and off and i press the power button, all leds and fans twitch for a split second and it keeps going on. I went to test the psu and they guy told me that the psu was fine, that he put the psu and processor on another motherboard. It was working fine. Next i went to test the motherboard to where i purchased it and the guys over there told me that they had to update to bios and tried with new processors (core i3, i5, i7) and that the processor that i bought, had a problem. They also said that an electrical shock has reset the bios??? And also that my processor was working in either A1 or A2 ram slots but not dual channel. Anyway now im going to test the processor and see what is going to happen. specs CPU- Core i5-9600k Mobo- MSI MPG Z390 PRO GAMING CARBON Ram- T-Force Vulcan 16gb GPU - ZOTAC RTX 2060 AMP 6gb PSU - Coolermaster 750w 80+ gold certified

Hello I've searched everywhere for an answer but I couldn't find it, so I'm asking here: will the NZXT Kraken X52 (240mm) fit in the top of the case Corsair SPEC-DELTA with an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC? The official Corsair website states that the case supports up to 240mm radiator on the top but I'm asking for a confirmation because some people have reported trouble installing AIO coolers like the Corsair H100i on the top of the case. Need answer ASAP please. Thanks.

I wanted to move all my curent hardware into a new case I had recently purchased. As I went yo unscrew my motherboard, 4 of the screws were stuck in the case, they all spun but never came close to actually unscrewing. I would like to know how I can fix this and if there are any consequences. Thanks to all who spent time on this post. Edits: Changing titles from URGENT to RESOLVED

I recently installed a raijintek Morpheus II on my reference Vega 64, everything seemed to work at first, but whenever I try to run furmark (which previously worked just fine, and no it was not run frequently over a long term basis) stops displaying everything. And doesn’t output an image after multiple reboots. (Sometimes it stops working when booting into windows, most of the time it doesn’t even make it to the bios) Please help Edit1: further details: the gpu is slightly bent from the weight of the cooler, the gpu and a raid 0 array are powered from a secondary psu, the gpu would (now) instantly stop working when stressed (furmark) and when it worked (with the Morpheus II) it didn’t go beyond 841MHz

OK so basically I bought a new motherboard, MSI PEG Z390 GAMING PRO CARBON and a new cpu i7 9700k. I installed these no problems, but now when I went to boot up my pc, i pressed the power button i was brought to the MSI splash screen and the buffer circle froze, this happens EVERY time i try to turn the pc on. I have tried to boot from a windows USB no luck, I have even taken the pc apart and put it back together again... I have spoken to Microsoft support and they dont know how to fix it and have also tried to contact MSI but have had no response. Really struggling here and starting to fear that my days of gaming are coming to an end :( I have searched every deep dark corner of google trying to find at least one solution to this but have found literally nothing, please help me. I BEG YOU!

So, I just finished my new desktop. I installed Windows. After turning it off to add some drives, I turned it back on, and the LEDs flashed on, then off again. I did not get any LEDs on the board turning on. (Except the RGB ones) What could be the cause of this? Hardware: i7 9700k 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB Nvidia RTX 2070 FE Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Samsung 970 Pro 512GB Corsair RM650x (2018) I don't think anything else matters. I have a surge protector, if that matters. And it was plugged in. Help? Any ideas?

Wow, if you've already seen my previous posts, you would know this computer is a problem child. So, when I change the font in Photoshop, my workstation just outright crashes. Sometimes it bluescreens with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, sometimes it blackscreens, and then automatically restarts as if I just restarted it. If you could point me to something very soon, I would be very grateful. (Since I need to use this computer early tomorrow, and it's 8:50PM right now) Thank you

Hi, I’m getting the bsod error “whea_uncorrectable_error” on my pc. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing it happens in games, idle, and not even logged in. I’ve tried many things such as removing ram sticks, updating drivers (including bios) pretty much all the things I’ve found on forums and YouTube. It’ll happen within a few minutes or even upt I half an hour. Everything seems to be running how it always has been and nothing seems to be wrong. I’ve even reset my bios to default and I have no idea what is wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey guys, I was researching different types of memory and found that L1 CPU cache is really fast and was wondering if i could buy maybe 32GB drive of L1 cache for a boot drive since my current hard drive is too slow. If you could send me some link to where i could get some for my boot drive it would be greatly appreciated.

This is a wierd situation im in with my cpu cooler rn. I used to have an h80i but broke down so i bought a deepcool white v2 cpu air cooler. I installed it and it power cycles then the cpu fans spin at 100% and no other fan are spinning. I remounted it a couple of times and the problem still persists. Hello everybody, i have had a mix of problems slowly getting worse with my pc and i think it could be down to either a bad motherboard or GPU. The problems first started during gaming where the computer would randomly freeze and throw up colored vertical lines on the screen (see pictures below) after leaving the pc like this for a couple of minuets both my screens would go black and start flickering between a black screen and the monitors having no input signal. Occasionally my desktop would flash on screen for a few seconds but i didn't have enough time to see if it was usable. A hard reset would get the pc back to normal and i could sit editing, producing music or just on the desktop for as long as i wanted. I haven't managed to reproduce these crashes on my secondary monitor which at first made me think it was a problem with my display. I have also managed to reproduce these crashes while in the BIOS but every time this happens the lines come up on my secondary display instead of the primary one it does normally. I've already checked event viewer and most logs say "Warning - Display - Display driver amdkmdap has stopped responding and successfully recovered." A little while after this i started noticing problems with booting my pc. At first the pc would have all fins spinning, lights working and keyboard and mouse on, the pc would post and then show the windows boot animation and then freeze on a black screen after that. Sometimes the keyboard and mouse would stay lit up and others they would go off before the windows boot animation like normal but stay off when frozen. It would normally take me 2 or 3 attempts to boot to windows. Now i have the problem where sometimes the pc wont post, all fans spin, all lights light up inside the pc and there are no beep post codes. The connected monitor(s) would just get an input signal of a black screen. The keyboard and mouse dont light up in this situation normally. Sometimes the pc will post and then blackscreen directly after the post screen. Once again everything inside the pc works correctly and sometimes the keyboard and mouse will light up and other times not. Not sure weather this could be a bad gpu, cpu or mobo. THINGS I HAVE TRIED: Clean installing gpu drivers Cleaning out my system Reseating the gpu Using a different power connecter (but on same cable) for my gpu Trying different HDMI cables Checking event viewer logs Lines pictures: Lines after in-game crash: Lines in BIOS: SYSTEM SPECS: CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (No OC) GPU: MSI Radeon R7 370 GAMING 4G (No OC) MOTHERBOARD: ASUS TUF B450 GAMING PLUS RAM: (2x8GB) G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 2133MHz PSU: EVGA 750 GQ DISPLAYS: 2x 1080P IPS panels 1x 24" ASUS VC239 & 1x HP 27w 27" display I do have another AMD A6 based pc that i can carry out tests on but it does have a sketchy psu as well and no hard drive as im using it for storage in this machine so all tests will have to be carried out in a live environment.
